Nonna di Mia Düren in Düren

The waitress Benedetta (name was on the bill) is super unfriendly. When we ate there, she was unfriendly from the start. My friend was kindly brought to the reserved table by another waitress. Benedetta then came to my friend and asked annoyed if she had really made a reservation. After eating we wanted to pay, but the prices didn't match our food. After we pointed this out to the waitress, she got the receipts very annoyed and aggressively slapped them on the table with the word “PLEASE!” We looked at what exactly went wrong and noticed that the waitress had mixed up the drinks even though we explicitly said what we had ordered when paying. Meanwhile, she was serving other people in the restaurant. Afterwards I informed her that she had mixed up the drinks and therefore our bills were incorrect. She showed no understanding, didn't respond and said ironically, “Have a nice evening!”

Super central, nice atmosphere, prices are not cheap but given the location... the food was ok.

After a good start, Nonna di Mia is unfortunately now deteriorating in the quality of the food and service.

We have been regular guests at Nonna since the beginning. We cannot share the negative comments. In our opinion, the volume in the restaurant is part of the atmosphere. Food is always excellent, especially when Jeanette is in the kitchen whipping up great, tasty dishes. We have always received very good service from the staff. When it's full (almost always), you have to show understanding to the staff. We and our family remain regular guests and always enjoy coming.

You can get very good Italian dishes here. The food is fresh and very tasty. Prices are affordable and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

We were there with the family for breakfast in the morning. Super friendly service! Extra requests were no problem and the explanation of the dishes and their ingredients was flawless! In terms of price, I think it's a little too much. But overall it was a good, solid dining experience. The only thing I would basically like to see (in all restaurants) would be fair openness when it comes to convenience products. Ultimately, I pay a chef and the rest of the team for the craft, so I don't want to get frozen schnitzel. (just as an example). Otherwise, of course, I have nothing against well-bought products. Very few people can or want to do everything themselves. Otherwise, keep it up!

It was and is a delicious experience. The staff is quick and very friendly. A recommendation and would love to come back. A cozy atmosphere!

I have now discovered several times, if not almost every visit, that the invoice has been cheated to the detriment of the customer. As soon as you ask for the receipt, in the same breath the waitress says: or did I charge for the wrong table, or something like: oh, a meal slipped through my fingers. Sometimes amounts are simply said incorrectly, which only becomes noticeable when you ask for the bill and, for example, there are two euros less on the bill. Unfortunately, it's a shame that as a customer you no longer have a nice feeling in this restaurant. Strangely enough, the waitresses always make mistakes to the detriment of the customers...

Honestly the worst in years. We were there for lunch. The place was very full. Atmosphere like at Cologne main station. It took a while for the waitress to come. Finally we ordered lunch. After waiting around 15 minutes, we received a shockingly tiny pasta with salmon. The food was not only cold but, to be honest, a disgrace for the price. The piece of salmon was the size of a walnut. Of course we won't be coming back. Then we like to walk 100 meters further to the Kaschäm. There is amazing service and great food there.

The location is very large and therefore quite loud. Unfortunately, you are quickly overlooked by the service at some places and it then takes a little longer until you can order or order for refills. The food came quickly and was delicious. There was a daily special for €12.99, which I chose. Basically the prices are in the middle segment. I think it will be difficult to get enough food cheaply. My Lillet Berry was okay, but this can be done better and was better. The sofas were cozy. Lots of black, chic but dark.

I'm honestly shocked and "almost" speechless. In times of climate change, we should treat bees, wasps, etc. a little more sustainably. But your plastic balls are anything but sustainable and it spoils my appetite when there is a ball hanging next to me with 20 dead insects while 10 more are dying. We left the restaurant. I praise “Louis Brauhaus”. There are small bowls of applesauce at the end of the table. There was no wasp on our plate. My respect!

Great restaurant with a good offer. Unfortunately, our special request was not implemented by the kitchen and the service was unable to solve the problem. But probably just an unfortunate coincidence. We are definitely not deterred from coming back here.

We were there on New Year's Eve 2022/23. There was a 4 course menu for 59 euros per person. You could schedule the menu yourself so that the evening wasn't boring. The menu was okay, the service was good. All in all a good evening.

Well, what can I say...the store is pretty nice, but it doesn't do justice to the "La Dolce Vita" and "Oh la la" that are everywhere. There is no greeting when you enter, you sit at the table for almost 10 minutes and then a waiter comes and asks in all seriousness if you want anything else... no, I actually want something first. Ordered a latte macchiato and it took forever to arrive. Well the coffee is really tasty, at least somewhat. The staff should somehow radiate a little more Italian passion and communicative cheerfulness. Probably won't make it to the local bar. It's a shame actually. Update 7/30/22 I gave this place a second chance today...and it wasn't taken. The service is really terrible... the service is relatively unfriendly, no friendly good evening or similar nice words. Ordered a drink...and then...just slapped the glass on the table and that was it. Well...goodbye tips! It's unbelievable that such a poor service can be put up with at such a low price. UPDATE 04/11/2024 What a pleasant and relaxing experience. The staff was super friendly and the food was really tasty. My highlight is definitely the stone oven bread with various dips...MEGA. The spaghetti carbonara was also impressive. Today there was finally a good reason to award significantly more stars.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nett und auf Zack. Das Essen vom Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passen und sehr lecker. Passt alles. Kommen gerne wieder.

We had a nice table with a view of the pedestrian zone. It was much more pleasant there than at the table right at the entrance. The service was very good and the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

Super tasty pizza and quick food at good prices

Today we had breakfast at Nonna die Mia for the first time. We chose the Nonna Grande for two people, although we found the price of €23.95 to be quite sporty. When breakfast came, we were a little surprised: the toppings were rich and nicely presented. But the "large bread basket" according to the menu..... well... the bread basket was large - but its contents were poor - 3 Giabatta rolls and 2 wedges of baguette........... Where should you put the toppings put everything on it. Pile??? So really poor and pathetic for the price. Even when we asked the service staff, we were told that this was really correct and that we found it to be pretty poor! I don't know if the portions are designed for scrawny, appetiteless little Italians. The atmosphere and the staff are nice. But a cup of coffee for €3.20 is also creative. Probably a very special kind........;-) No, really - everything is really nice; but really bad value for money. We don't need it again!

Unfortunately, I don't like the service at all and we've already had two negative experiences. We once ordered fruit pancakes for a toddler and were asked to just leave out the maple syrup. The employee immediately reacted to this with great annoyance and told us that her boss wouldn't allow any special requests, which I honestly can't imagine. She said she could show it off in the kitchen but it would be forgotten anyway. Unfortunately, that's how it was. Since the child was very hungry, we accepted it that way, but that is by no means hospitable. On the second attempt we had reserved a table for 8 people plus two children's chairs (10 people in total) a day in advance. When we arrived we were given a table for 4 people, with the comment that we didn't have anyone else and unfortunately there weren't any children's chairs available at the moment. Here I wonder why reservations are accepted. We were lucky that the table next to us became free and we could use it as well. We liked coming here with our children because of the food, because you can always sit outside in a relaxed manner, but unfortunately the service didn't convince us at all.

We were there yesterday for the first and last time. I'm also aware that everything is getting more expensive, but €5.20 for a 0.3l beer is an outrage. The shop was dirty and we waited almost an hour for our food. The table next to us got their food before us even though they ordered later.

I find some reviews difficult to understand. We didn't find it grubby nor were we served badly. The service was great despite the hut being packed and the food, breakfast platter for 2, was great and very tasty. We've really found very little to complain about now.

Vor allem die täglich wechselnden Mittagsgerichte sind sehr gut. Portionen allerdings nicht gerade groß. Man muss aber nur freundlich fragen, dann gibt es auch ein Löffelchen Nachschlag. Außerdem eines der wenigen, wirklich barrierefreien Restaurants in Düren (traurig, aber wahr), mit ordentlicher, rollstuhlfreundlicher Toilette.

Nonna di Mia is the worst restaurant in all of Düren. The food was bad, below average. You can't get through to make a reservation on the phone, so you only get the last seat in the corner. You are not warned about hot dishes! I got a burn blister from Nonna di Mia. Impossible. The highlight was a waitress petting a dog and then putting straws in cocktails without washing her hands. Disgusting. If you don't want to drink dog bacteria or want to have a nice restaurant visit, then don't go to this shed!

Fantastically beautiful and cozy

A very nice place to spend a pleasant and delicious evening with friends and family. Super nice staff and very large portions. We were completely satisfied. When we made the reservation, we had specifically stated that we would be coming with a larger dog and we were assigned a perfect table where the dog could spend the evening relaxing in a quiet corner. We will definitely come back when we are in Düren again.

We wanted to have gemulicu breakfast and hadn't heard anything bad about the restaurant. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The entire inn is very dirty. The tables were dirty and the walls were very unsightly. Ordered coffee only comes after the food has been delivered. At first glance, the food seems very attractive and tasty. Unfortunately everything was cold. The crispy, toasted house bread only briefly missed the pan. When the service person was approached, they apologized with the words: There's a lot going on right now. At the beginning we sat completely alone in the upper dining room. Ordered a glass of Lillet yesterday for just under €8. I was surprised to see that the glass wasn't even 1/4 full. When asked, it was explained that this was completely normal. The glass is just so big... Sorry, but you can definitely get it better and cheaper somewhere else!!!
