We had the pleasure of stopping at Christian&Friends on December 7th, 2024. The welcome at the door by Hubert and Andre (service) was warm and as if we already knew each other. You were immediately greeted with a friendly YOU. The restaurant is very cozy and lovingly furnished. The dinner began at 7 p.m. and Hubert first explained what the evening would be like. What we have never experienced before in fine dining is that you could visit the kitchen while it was being prepared. This offer was later taken up by the guests, so that we could watch it being served with a glass of wine. The staff, both in the kitchen and in service, were always happy to provide information. The amuse gueule and the individual dishes of the 8-course menu were excellent and tasted at the highest level. Every course was announced by Hubert. The wine pairing was outstanding and an absolute hit in every respect and with every dish. Also, no careful attention was paid to the amount of glass filled, so more was poured. In the meantime, the guests (11 people) had a nice conversation about dishes, food, wine and other things. At the end of the cozy and tasty evening we were happy and satisfied and will definitely visit Christian&Friends again. The only downer was the fact that we forgot our new umbrella. :-(

Food high quality and mostly very creative. Were there at lunchtime. In my opinion, it could have been a little more sophisticated in one or two courses (e.g. with zander). What impressed me most were the “Snacks around the world” and the dessert (Komuntu). Great value for money at lunchtime!

Very good offer also for vegetarians. The service is excellent but for your high demands you could also afford a carpenter and an electrician

I was so impressed with the food when I visited a few years ago that I made a reservation for my mom's birthday, but I was so disappointed that I couldn't help but write a review. First, the sauce was too salty and looked fancy, but the ingredients overlapped too much, making it monotonous. Those were ingredients you would expect from a Japanese restaurant, but it was a shame that they were used so much. First of all, almost every menu had 3 or more courses, including tempura and dessert, and although the yuzu and shiso leaves were in different shapes, they kept coming out as foam and garnish, so many of the dishes felt similar. The ingredients were fresh and the food was great, but overall it didn't live up to expectations. The dessert in particular was very disappointing. The yuzu basil sherbet was delicious, but I think the combination of the panna cotta and cubed pineapple underneath, along with the chocolate cookies, was a sub-par dessert that didn't live up to its reputation. Maybe I had high expectations because I enjoyed the dessert so much the last time I came here. Second, the service staff were courteous but did not provide anything other than a mechanical explanation of the food. One of the three employees could not speak German except for ingredients, and I had to concentrate to understand the other employees' explanations because the surroundings were noisy. And the chef saw me when I went to the bathroom, but didn't say hello, and the customer sitting at the bar saw me off at the door on his way out. ha ha ha Third, we sat in a space where we couldn't see the bar, and a total of 14 people could sit there: 6 people, 4 people, 2 people, and 2 people. The table arrangement was so narrow that you could even hear people talking at the table next to them. I thought I was in the same group as the table next to me. There was a taste of anticipation while waiting for the next menu, but I could already see everything coming next to me, so that wasn't a good idea either. You can't see sushi being made in a small space reminiscent of a warehouse, and since there's nothing worth mentioning as interior design, there's nothing to see, so it's boring to just wait for food. The ingredients may be unfamiliar to German people, so they may feel fresh, but the food definitely needs to be improved. We paid around 600€ for 3 people and I think there were plenty of other options to have a great birthday. I don't think I'll ever visit again.

Completely relaxed atmosphere by the staff! Very important. The four-course menu was excellent in terms of the presentation but also the quality of the "raw materials". The ambience could hardly be better... a real villa!

I was there for the first time with 2 friends before my university presence event on December 13th and will come back every time I'm there in the future. Everything was so wonderful. The artful, detailed delicacies, the wine accompaniment, the peace/comfort, the wonderful team working together. But something was special compared to other Michelin restaurants. The warmth, peace and security. I felt like I was at home. The only point of criticism: at home I have older wines than those available in the restaurant :)

The chef and his great team really impressed us with their Martinsgans menu! It is an experience to be a guest at Philipp-Soldan. I would particularly like to highlight Mr. Fynn Garthe with his friendly, open-minded nature and his courteous, impeccable service. Mr. Garthe's wine advice and presentation were perfect. Thank you for this wonderful evening.

A new restaurant has arrived. The Tafelspitz from Grabenstrasse has found its new home here. Very tasty Hessian/Rhine-Hessian dishes await and pamper the palate. The ambience is simple and modern. The food was very tasty. Welcome to the new location and good luck in the new premises.

On my birthday we were at the Nassauer Hof in the Ente and ordered the menu -Kitchen Round-. It was a culinary experience. Mr. Kammermeier and his team fully met our expectations. We went home delighted and satisfied. We'll be back!

Quite disappointing The service is good but the rest is insufficient We had the New Year's menu with goose as the main course. It was quite crude, undercooked and much too filling as is the case in low quality German restaurants. What a pity Wine rating is average Few choices of biodynamic or natural organic wines In summary, it's not worth the detour.

Unfortunately not recommended. The four of us had a four-course menu and the quality ranged from very good (the dessert) to not tasty/boring (the starter). The wines by the glass were good and worth the money! The service in the evening was sometimes good and sometimes not so good (45 minutes waiting time for the main course, water was poured across the table close to a guest's face). Overall not a good price-performance ratio.
