Masa celebrates its wonderful Japanese cuisine in an unassuming setting. The entrance is shabby and easily overlooked, the decor is completely understated, and the focus is very archaic on what it is all about: concentration on fine dining: on the table, the person sitting opposite, and back on the table. No distractions. Great! I love it. Finally, no wild colors and shapes on the walls and floor; instead, the gaze wanders to the plates and glasses. Where else? There isn't much else to go on. And the best Japanese cuisine unfolds on the table. The service, trained and always knowledgeable, knows how to create a warm, enveloping ambiance. You feel like you're in good hands. The extensive omakase menu, with individual drink selections by the guest and sommelier, is a culinary journey through the large Japanese fish pond and its associated fruit and vegetable gardens. What splendor is presented on the plate in the smallest of spaces. A feast for the senses of the highest quality, both in material and preparation. The staff are patient, even when, after more than five hours of devoting themselves to the refined dishes, guests still want to order more for the finale. Frankfurt can be proud of Masa. It's in a league with the best European cuisines. I say that as a connoisseur who usually has his palate cared for in Italy, Spain, and France. And the prices are reasonable. If you appreciate fine dining, this is the place for you.

It's always worth eating in this almost intimate atmosphere. Certainly one of the most beautiful places and restaurants for good, stylish food with regional, upscale cuisine. Give it a try.

It was a great cuisine from amuse till dessert. Especially, the beef fillet doneness and sauce bordelaise was a perfect! I recommend to enjoy a real Michelin star restaurant in Frankfurt 🤩

A very special restaurant that offers a meat/fish menu as well as a matching vegan menu. We ordered both options as a 7-course meal and were delighted with both. The individual dishes on both menus are very special in terms of taste and appearance. Everything is presented with great care. The service was also outstanding.
