That was very impressive. We were there on a Friday evening and had made a reservation at very short notice, so the main room was already fully booked and we were at the lounge table. Here you share a large table with other guests. Didn't bother us and there was only one other couple there, so plenty of space. The service was great and the food was really excellent. Everything is very classic and, above all, based on the very high quality of the ingredients. Every course was a hit.

Superior quality and craftsmanship. Complex dishes, yet logical and surprising. Impressive. Great, warm and yet professional, reserved service, a blessing. Nowadays you have to be happy when the service staff don't call you by your name, so the well-groomed manners at Lafleur are doubly good. Only the entrance at the Palmengartenhaus has the charm of a school gymnasium entrance... but once you're inside, everything will be fine.

We were here before a few years ago. Things have gotten better. I would now know which gear of the five I had should be downgraded. That was good two star level. Maybe the cheese plate was a bit thin. I always wish that you could choose from a car and that there were also armchairs and sprayed ones. But this is such a nice romantic ending. That's why the cheese was still good. The courses are at the right intervals, there is no hunger in between and the total quantity is also right. You sit very nicely and can have a conversation without disturbing others or being disturbed. Bread also on time and enough. There are still two things close to my heart that I need to get rid of. - Why doesn't the master come out of the kitchen and show himself. He doesn't have to fear anything, everything is wonderful. We just ask stupid questions. - The service is too distant. A colleague also wrote this, as I have now read. Of course it's annoying when people chat at you at the table without asking. But that doesn't have to be the case. It's too professional here. One would wish that some host gene would come out of this. The host who is happy when it tastes good and the ambience around it is right and the guests leave happy and full. Something like this has to work somehow. Well, we'll let ourselves be surprised. That's a great house. (The wine list is large enough, of course nothing is given to you for free - but the size doesn't have to be as big as Jörg Müller's) of course leaves nothing to be desired - perhaps there will be a tour of the wine cellar if the restaurant is not too full. We are excited and keep our fingers crossed for the maitre for many years to come!

We were there three weeks ago with our adult children. "Dad" was very happy to pay. It was fantastic. I specifically waited to write a review because I wanted to know if the fantastic impression would fade: No, the impression will remain in our memories – we all still think back to the wonderful evening of a thoroughly successful event. We all felt welcome, perfectly served and cared for until the very last minute (we were the last guests). All the dishes were perfect.

As is common in the industry, the La Fleur restaurant is located quite inconspicuously in Frankfurt's Palmengarten. If you didn't know what culinary delights were hidden behind the gray facade, you might think that it housed a gymnasium for the local sports club. If you then peek between the curtains, the elegant armchairs and the elaborate lighting show that schnitzel and fries are served here, if at all, in a deconstructivist manner. After the refreshing towel and a pleasantly complex non-alcoholic aperitif with mirabelle plum and lemon verbena, we opt for a pescatarian menu. The undisputed star of the aperitif: the pizza pillow. The wafer-thin shell breaks upon first contact with the palate and first releases the sweetness of the peppers, then slowly the slightly bitter olive note. Over half a minute, a perfectly composed crescendo unfolds, a promising beginning. The mini tartlet next to it can also impress with its rich umami notes, but it fades a little. The vegetable shot has an almost unnatural freshness, the orange foam adds a delicate, fleeting accent on top. After this successful start, there is a little time left to enjoy your awakened appetite with the bread served lukewarm with 2 butter variations and a vegan interpretation of the Frankfurt sauce. The crust breaks in the hand with a promising crackling sound, the palate rejoices, especially in combination with the extremely successful Frankfurt sauce, each herb comes to life in pleasant succession on the crumb. This is followed by the hamachi, which only really develops its taste in combination with the marinade - the curry ice cream ensures a successful, warm-cold interplay on the tongue, the wasabi brings a masterfully measured spiciness that adds an additional sensory element without dominating the simultaneity of the rest of the ingredients. Even if the real star of the dish is reserved, the overall composition is more than convincing. Another sip of the wonderful aperitif and the next fish dish is served - the skrei. Edvard Munch could have gained a lot from this plate visually, but unfortunately it is not the last Skrei - the intrusive spiciness of the horseradish sweeps over the previously so gently caressed palate with the first thrust of the fork, and neither the mashed potatoes nor the champagne sauce are able to slow down this oral offensive. Now we are eagerly awaiting the main course – glazed artichoke, kohlrabi, young peas, all dipped in a truffle sauce. Visually, a very successful game of contrasts, the Trevisano as the center of gravity of the sophisticated vegetable dance. However, this impression cannot be fully conveyed, there is not enough to counteract the deep umami of the truffle sauce, a functional but somewhat monochromatic harmony, also because the limequat remains unexpectedly pale on the tongue. But the consistency of the artichoke inspires in the long term, the plate expresses a “Vive le Véganisme” that is too rare in the star kitchen. The great cooking level of the vegetables still has an effect, as does the sneaking feeling that the vegetables' previous prominence means that there is a little little protein in the stomach; but before he can move, dessert arrives. The first spoon, which first gently glides through the finely crackling caramel mirror into the apple of the Tarte Tartin, and then finds its way back with a little sorbet, is dessert perfection of the highest category, a distillation of the apple pie and at the same time a differentiation of its simplicity - what the patissière conjures up here goes right back to the very beginning in its brilliance. Great! Unfortunately, the espresso at the end is not at all convincing - the industrial roasting leaves nothing but asphalt aromas and disappointment - such a nasty brew begs for revision and a portafilter

You can expect high expectations from a two-star restaurant - unfortunately we were disappointed here. Definitely not from the food, because both the meat and vegan courses were a delight and impressed with strong aromas, especially from various exotic fruits. But we obviously had a bad day with the service. After a greeting and extensive inspection, the waiter apologized when we asked for a non-alcoholic aperitif by saying that they didn't have a bar and therefore didn't have any non-alcoholic cocktails. Since we know 2 star restaurants that offer an alcohol-free accompaniment to the menu, we were a little surprised. We then decided on a non-alcoholic gin and tonic, whereupon the champagne glass placed at the table was removed with a disapproving flourish. A friendly lady brought us the detailed menu and later took our order. Unfortunately, my second starter was mixed up, which was just about corrected when setting the table. The same thing happened again with my main course, where I got Nebraska beef instead of pigeon; I decided not to complain again in the interests of another harmonious evening. With four courses each in the “Gourmet Compact” menu we chose, that was a 25% error rate. Our disappointment then accumulated in the wine accompaniment, which was neither informative nor inspiring. The sommelière offered neither a preliminary taste nor any information about the wine served beyond the label text - let alone a motivation as to why the wine in question had been selected for the respective course. The fact that there was apparently no significant correlation here was made clear, among other things, by the fact that despite the corrected order, the wine remained the same. While the Rheingau Riesling served with the salmon course was of an appropriate standard, the other wines (Chardonnay, Burgundy, dessert wine) were less convincing; The red one in particular lacked any body. For a price of €145 for four 0.1 glasses, this was simply not enough for us. Overall, we ultimately left the restaurant with the feeling that we had spent much more pleasant evenings in other establishments in this price category in the past.

Food was incredible, the service couldn't have been more professional and the overall setting is chic and beautiful. I had the vegan compact menu and every meal was perfection. I especially liked the main course with the potatoes and the tarte tatin revisitée, it was absolutely delicious. My guest had the non vegan compact menu with the salmon, the beef and the chocolate soufflé and said the same. Perfection every time. We had a lovely time, thank you! I definitely recommand going to this restaurant!

Absolutely incredible experience. Went there solo while in Frankfurt for work. The staff were accommodating and Boris was a delight the entire evening. I really enjoyed his background knowledge of what inspired the meal and his expertise in every ingredient used in each course. They sat me at the end of a large table with a party of 4 at the other end - not a criticism, just something to know if you decide to dine there solo. I was offered a choice of white or rose champagne after being seated. The food is unique, perfectly portioned, and curated beautifully. I recommend getting the wine accompaniment with your courses, it really enhanced the meal. Thank you Lafleur for making my Frankfurt dining experience one to remember.

We were there at lunchtime, which was only possible for us for logistical reasons. Despite the early hour, we had a perfect gastronomic experience. Of course, the whole thing has its price, but it is within the limits of what can be expected and is definitely worth the experience. What is particularly worth mentioning is the competence in product knowledge, especially from the waiter. We wanted to go with a non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment that still offered depth and was fun. Both the selection and the knowledge of it were excellent. Highly recommended for a special experience, even at lunchtime!

The menu composition deserves the greatest possible appreciation. The visual and taste variety is impressive. Congratulations! However: In order to enjoy the food even more, the service, at least with the amusegueules, should begin no later than 30 minutes after the guests arrive. At 50 minutes we waited too long for the menu sequence. With protein-rich jus, the satiety factor that occurs quickly in the 6-course menu should not be underestimated, otherwise the main course can no longer be enjoyed. When the service team introduced the dishes, we would have been happy to receive a little more explanation about the products and preparation than just repeating the ingredients from the menu. When tasting a white wine, it should at least be served chilled, if not cold. Our Sancerre felt like it was 16 degrees upwards and took at least 30 minutes to reach drinking temperature. A visit from the chef at the end would have made the evening special. That was missing - what a shame! We will still come back and hope that our feedback was useful.

Can only recommend this place if someone is looking for a memorable, special dining experience. The LaFleur is an exquisite and highly rated (2 Michelin stars) Haute Cuisine restaurant in the western part of Frankfurt, close to Palmengarten. The variety of tastes, exclusivity and overall very warm and welcoming service were truly exceptional. One can choose from a variety of different courses but we would recommend to go with the 7 course version of the menu. Overall, the LaFleur is an outstanding experience which is not cheap, but certainly worth every penny.

Definitely worth a visit. - one big turn off for me was that the whole meal was more than 3.5 hours. This is too much, and not optimal appetite-wise. Got very boring just to wait for the food. I would recommend informing them that you want speedy service, which can overall make your experience better. - they offered us champagne on entry. From the situation I felt that it was complimentary, but actually they charged it in the cheque. Something to keep in mind. - overall the folks there were very helpful, but I felt that one server was a little unwelcoming, and made me wonder whether it was because of our race, since there was no other conceivable reason to warrant the cold attitude. However it's a very good chance that it's just the personality, and so while I'm not making accusations, it definitely dampened our experience. We spent >1000 euro for a 3 person dinner.

Absolutely majestic experience. Me and my fiancee had a wonderful dinner here, we went for the 3 courses menù and it was just incredible. Memorable dishes from start to finish, the meats in our main were just to die for, rarely had venison and oax cheeks cooked to perfection like that. The service was impeccable, Boris and his team really took greta care of us, everyone was super attentive and they all made the whole experience just perfect. 10/10 please if you love fine dining, give this restaurant a try!

The food was rather “ok” but not at all the class that I know from other Michelin restaurants. Service was excellent, but still a bit stiff and forced. The dishes were fine in terms of craftsmanship, but the taste was always the same and unimaginative, not enough for 2 stars. You just have to go to the Black Forest and you get a lot more for 1 star or less.

Im Lafleur gibt es nun - nach langer Zwangspause - wieder Mittagsmenues zu genießen. Es gibt jeweils ein Veggie-Menü und ein Menü mit Fleisch- / Fischgerichten und das zu sehr angemessenen Preisen! Ich hatte heute das nicht vegetarische Menü: - Verschiedene Aromenbomben bzw. Grüße aus der Küche - Rindertatar mit einem traumhaften Eis aus Gänseleber - Loup de Mer mit einem aromatischen Krustentier Raviolo an einer feinen Safransauce - ein zartes Kalbsfilet an einer aromatischen Morchelrahmsauce - marinierte Feige mit Edelweissschokolade und einem unglaublichen Eis mit Zitronenthymian. Krolik ist (immer noch) ein ganz großer Meister der Aromen, ein Höhepunkt jagt den nächsten! Das Lafleur ist ohne Frage das - mit Abstand - beste Restaurant im Rhein-Main-Gebiet und die Mittagsmenüs sind hinsichtlich Preis und Leistung nicht zu toppen. Die Service Mitarbeiter sind herausragend! Und: Im kommenden Monat werde ich das Veggie-Menü probieren, ich freue mich schon so darauf!!

Lafleur Located at the palm garden, you will receive a very friendly welcome. In the interior you can then sit on a very comfortable armchair. The service is extremely attentive and patiently accepts all special requests. The dishes are characterized by extraordinarily good taste and are produced with great craftsmanship. But as it is, some things you like, some things you don't like. So the liver wasn't mine, but that's my personal taste. Being from New York City one is exposed to the sublime international gastronomic cuisine. La Fleur, once hailed for its culinary prowess, left us underwhelmed with a gastronomic experience that barely surpassed mediocrity. Despite its lofty reputation, it failed to rise above the ordinary fine dining establishments scattered across New York City. Remarkably, the staff soared to Michelin-star standards with its impeccable service and professionalism. Yet the cuisine proved to be a letdown, lacking the creativity expected of a world-class restaurant. In many ways the cuisine remains in a time capsule 20 years in the past and perhaps more suited for the traditional palates of the seasoned souls.

My review refers to the Menu Grands Produits. Andreas Krolik and his team managed to present us with a flawless culinary fireworks display. Each course was not only characterized by absolute craftsmanship perfection, but also delighted all the senses. Even consciously selected regional ingredients such as Taunus spruce shoots or Rhön caviar are not used for their own sake, but are part of a harmonious and expressive overall picture. Maintaining this throughout the menu is a commendable achievement that sets the restaurant apart. The service was perfect; the restaurant is stylishly decorated. Only the distance between the tables could be a little larger, although there was no feeling of confinement. The wine list is extremely well put together, contains many delicacies and, in conjunction with the excellent other services, encourages further visits, even though the prices are quite ambitious. In my opinion, the restaurant is also worth a big detour.

We got to the restaurant sort of by accident so we had no idea what to expect when we first walked in. The place is fancy and classy but without extravagances. We did feel a little rigid at first because everyone else in the restaurant was so serious, and quiet and fancy, but we got over it and started to enjoy the place and the exquisite food. Every bite is a mind blowing experience, full of different textures, smells and flavors. It’s a full experience, the sommelier, the waiters, the way the dishes are meticulously manufactured and brought to the table, everything! All tho definitely out of the budget I’d say it’s worth the price.

Leider war der Abend für ein Restaurant dieser Klasse eine ziemlich bescheidene Vorstellung. Das Essen war in Ordnung, hat aber keinen WOW-Effekt ausgelöst. Der Sommelier war ziemlich steif und der Service bemüht. Von Herzlichkeit war nichts zu spüren. Der Empfang war leer als man ins Restaurant kam. Es war aus meiner Sicht keine gastronomische Erfahrung die man wiederholen müsste. Als Gast erwarte ich einen Gastgeber, der mich auch gerne als Gast da hat. Dieses Gefühl wurde nie vermittelt. Wenn ich das mit Restaurants wie dem Schanz, Waldhotel Sonnora, Urgestein oder Gustav vergleiche, dann bleibt festzuhalten dass dort der Gast ganz anders wahrgenommen wird, Herzlichkeit verbreitet wird und man an diesen Orten sehr gerne länger verweilt....

This restaurant is having two Michelin stars and one of the few that able to have vegan and protein menu and keeping the stars. The food experience is amazing. Very artistic looking and rich in tastes. Wine pairing is really awesome and fit the food flavor. The staff were certainly professional and knew their dishes all way around. They kept servicing all the time where where their guest and it was wonderful. Very nice atmosphere as mine was actually in LaFleur in Copenhagen in Tivoli park. The prices are of course according to the quality and that’s understandable to be expensive. Transport wise in Copenhagen its in center of the city and near all kind public transportation.

In June 2023, the Michelin restaurant from Frankfurt visited Tivoli in Copenhagen. We enjoyed the 12 course vegan menu. I recommend a visit but be quick if you want to try it before it moves back to Frankfort

Wine was delicious. Especially the tasting menu. But still the most underwhelming Michelin star restaurant I’ve been to yet. Staff was friendly. Basic ingredients, nothing special, lackluster and incredibly salty. It took over 3 hours to get a 5 course meal. Lack of unique ingredients. Everything tasted the same. And we were sweating the entire time because they keep it like 80 degrees plus in the room.

Wir haben das vegane Menü ausprobiert und es war wirklich beeindruckend, vegane Küche auf diesem Niveau zu erleben. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt hat man Fleisch vermisst. Sehr gute Zutaten wurden zu genussvollen Geschmacksbildern zusammengefügt. Lobend erwähnen möchten wir den Sommelier Miguel Martin, der uns mit vielen Anekdoten aus seinem langen und ereignisreichen Berufsleben unterhalten hat. Insgesamt ein schöner Abend, leider muss ich einen Punkt abziehen wegen des ansonsten eher steifen und kühlen Service und des überzogenen Preisniveaus der Getränke.

Ein sehr gemütliches und kunstvoll eingerichtetes zwei Sterne Restaurant. Wir hatten ein 7-Gang Menü inklusive 4 Zwischengängen (2 Grüße aus der Küche, Einstimmung auf den Hauptgang und ein extra Dessert). Es war eine Wucht und hat auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Schaut euch die Bilder an. (Leider habe ich den Auftakt zum Hauptgang nicht drauf).

Ein wunderbarer Abend mit einer exzellenten 2-Sterne Küche. Das Degustationsmenü war absolut gelungen und bot in jede Geschmacksrichtung ein Erlebnis. Die Variation waren sehr gut und insbesondere die Fisch- und Meeresfrüchtegänge outstanding. Der Service war sehr gut und auf die jeweiligen Gäste empathisch abgestimmt. Besonders beeindruckend war die Verabschiedung der Gäste durch Andreas Krolik selbst, der für Gespräche zum Abschied zugegen war, und selbst in den Mantel half. Wow, was für ein Service.

Wir haben einen sehr besonderen Abend in diesem edlen Restaurant genossen. Ein kulinarisches Erlebnis erster Güte. Die Michelin Sterne sind wohlverdient und gerechtfertigt. Phantasievolle Kreationen auf höchstem Niveau für das Auge und noch viel mehr für den Gaumen. Ein ganz besonderes Genuss Erlebnis, das wir sehr gerne in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten.

Wir schätzen Haute Cuisine und Sterneküche. Aber da ist eben auch das Gesamtpaket entscheidend: Ambiente, Service, Qualität, Story & Innovation. Lafleur ist da wie ich empfinde leider ein wenig aus der Zeit gefallen. Die Qualität des Menüs ist hervorragend, aber es wirkt uninspiriert, der Service steif, das Ambiente angestaubt.

Hin und Weg! Meine Frau und ich haben das Restaurant zum ersten Mal besucht. We had a wonderful experience at Sorriso, enjoying a total of six courses. If I could graph the experience, it would start low and rise steadily to the top. Unfortunately, the amuse-bouches were a bit underwhelming for both of us—nothing particularly memorable. The bread was served with homemade butter, but the butter was too cold to spread easily, which wasn’t the best start. However, things took a turn for the better with the first course. The presentation of the beet dish was stunning—a true piece of art. Unfortunately, the flavor didn’t quite deliver, and the dish felt a bit too cold, as though it hadn’t reached the right serving temperature. From that point onward, though, everything was absolutely fantastic. Each dish hit the mark with incredible flavors and thoughtful pairings. The wines, sourced from German and Austrian heritage, were a delight. A smoky cocktail included in the wine pairing added a unique and entertaining twist. Even the unexpected inclusion of ice in one of the courses was a pleasant surprise. The presentation was magnificent throughout, with standout dishes like the chestnut soup, beautifully detailed and bursting with flavor. The tuna served with caviar was another highlight—something I’d been looking forward to for a long time, and it didn’t disappoint. Sorriso is undoubtedly a great place to dine. While there were some minor details that could be improved, they didn’t take away from the overall joy of the experience. With the level of craftmanship and labor put in the dishes, i highly recommend this restaurant.

Star restaurant that meets high expectations! The villa and restaurant are very elegant, which gave me a lot of pleasure. A classic, sophisticated experience in a club atmosphere. It's a shame that something like this doesn't happen that often anymore.

Behind the unassuming facade lies a successful combination of Japanese classics and modernity, with subtle regional touches. In each course of the omakase lunch menu, textures and flavors were carefully balanced and lovingly decorated and presented with typical Japanese care. The service is impeccable, attentive, and unobtrusive, responsive to guests' wishes. We would be happy to return.
