Restaurant Fleur de Sel in Maintal

We visited Fleur de Sel in Maintal for the first time for our son's wedding reception. Upon arrival, we received a friendly and personal welcome (the owner had done extensive research into the guests beforehand), and everything was beautifully and lovingly set. The decor reflects the ambiance of southern France and is very tasteful with its warm tones and various decorative elements. The kitchen is open to view, which we personally really like. We were welcomed with crémant and canapés. During the meal, Fleur de Sel took into account all the intolerances, allergies, and other requirements (e.g., meat-free) that were mentioned in the wedding invitation, and they also catered specifically to the children present. The food (a welcome from the kitchen and a four-course menu) was visually perfectly presented, optimally portioned, and overall delicious. 34 guests were served attentively, very courteously, and friendly. In the restaurant itself, there was also enough space for the gift table, the obligatory photo booth, music, and even dancing. Our conclusion: With an excellent meal in a beautiful and cozy atmosphere and with very friendly and attentive staff, we felt very comfortable and will gladly return.

I've been visiting this restaurant for over eight years now – and it remains my absolute favorite. I'm always amazed: The dishes are not only of the highest quality in terms of taste, but also a true feast for the eyes. The variety of ingredients, the sophisticated combinations, and the attention to detail make every meal a special experience. The service is always warm, attentive, and professional. The wine recommendations, in particular, are excellent and perfectly round off the culinary experience. You simply feel welcome and well looked after here. For me, this restaurant is a place where you can feel quality, passion, and hospitality. After all these years, I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who values ​​enjoyment and atmosphere.

Basically, yes. Paying by credit card is rather embarrassing. The guest is charged 2% of the credit card company's transaction fees. Considering the price of the food, it's rather embarrassing. The service staff also have to communicate this.

From the friendly welcome to the attentive service to the perfectly prepared dishes, everything was just perfect. The quality and freshness of the dishes were impressive across the board, and the atmospheric ambiance made the evening truly special. We ate at Fleur de Sel on July 14th (France's national holiday). The menu was fantastic. Very, very tasty, imaginative, and of excellent quality. The value for money was absolutely reasonable. The musical entertainment was perfectly chosen for the day. We were all thrilled and are already looking forward to our next visit to Fleur de Sel.

As a long-time regular customer, my family and I have celebrated every occasion here. The food was always excellent. I even had my first date here, as well as our wedding reception (in 2019), and to this day, every wedding guest raves about the wonderful menu. Unfortunately, for various understandable reasons, Fleur de Sel is only open a few days a week. We will definitely eat here often. Please don't remove the crème brûlée from the menu.

We enjoyed a wonderful menu here on Whit Monday on the quiet terrace, prepared with heart and savoir faire. Very friendly service and a well-curated wine list. A real treat for all Frankfurt residents who don't mind the 20-minute drive. Special requests were happily accommodated.

One of the coziest and warmest places I've been to. I was gifted a birthday voucher in April, right around Easter. They were very flexbile on table arrangement and reservations and managed to squeeze us in last minute. The food served was really something you eat at Michelin star restaurants. The portions were big enough to be shared by two. Fresh seasonal ingredients combined into truly amazing meals. Flavours and plating - impeccable! Just fantastic! I really can't find any other words to describe it! Even though the night was busy, the staff took time to hear us out and plan our courses together with them advising on drinks and combinations for my husband and me! The Fleur de Sel is a little paradise for gourmets and connoisseurs. The food is cooked with passion at a high level, and in the service you can feel the passion for the restaurant and especially for the guests. Excellent wines, a relaxed atmosphere without any aloof or stilted character. So you can feast and enjoy in a relaxed manner. Our culinary universe would be poorer without Fleur de Sel.

Wonderful evening at Fleur de Sel – a real gem in Maintal! We celebrated our anniversary at Fleur de Sel and couldn't have asked for a better place to do it. From the first minute we felt incredibly comfortable - the service was warm, attentive and professional. The wine recommendation was perfect and we were treated as friendly as if we were long-time regulars. The ambience is beautiful: stylish furnishings, pleasant lighting with LED lamps on the tables and French music in the background. There is plenty of space, you can talk undisturbed and simply enjoy yourself. The food was an absolute highlight! Especially the red cabbage soup with napkin dumplings – a creative and incredibly tasty idea. The zucchini with goat cheese and tomato sugo not only tasted fantastic but was also beautifully prepared. The main course, beef fillet tips on truffled risotto, was outstanding - a large portion, perfectly seasoned and simply delicious. Unfortunately, we were so full afterwards that we couldn't manage dessert - but that's a good reason to come back soon! We are particularly excited about the French cheese variations. Next time we look forward to sitting on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the meal al fresco. An all-round perfect evening – we’ll definitely be back!

We were at Fleur de Sel for the first time today and we were more than thrilled. The dishes are not only exceptionally creative but also an absolute culinary delight. The price-performance ratio is very good for such a craft. There were two of us and we both had 4 courses. The portions are very fair and sufficient for a delicate restaurant. There was nothing to complain about or criticize from our side. We can recommend this restaurant without reservation. You should treat yourself to an evening with your loved one here. Bei den Desserts hätte ich mir zusätzlich auch mal etwas Banales wie eine normale Creme Brulee oder einfach ein paar Kugeln Eis gewünscht. Cremant de Loire und ein leichter Weißwein als Begleitung waren auch sehr lecker. Service war auch sehr nett.

The first restaurant in this somewhat upscale category where I can say that the price/performance ratio is 100% correct in all points; best service with friendly attention that is second to none. The high quality food is very finely coordinated in terms of appearance and quantity - complemented by a wine list that leaves nothing to be desired. It's a little unbelievable to find such a top restaurant in a purely residential area, which in my opinion comfortably overtakes a star restaurant in terms of price/performance.

I come to the wonderful Fleur de Sel regularly and am thrilled every time! The service is consistently first class – attentive, friendly and at the same time unobtrusive. The monthly changing menu ensures that there are always new, creative dishes to discover. No matter whether tender fish, meat cooked to perfection or vegetarian (vegan) variations - the quality of the food is always at the highest level and always perfectly prepared. A real highlight for gourmets that I can only recommend to everyone. Always my pleasure.

A pearl in Maintal! Very tasty and well-crafted food

Wir waren das zweite Mal im Fleur de Sel. Das Essen war wieder hervorragend. Da gibt es überhaupt nichts auszusetzen. Bei der Qualität und tollen Zubereitung zahlt man gerne auch ein bisschen mehr. Enttäuschend war dieses Mal leider der Service. Der Kellner hat so leise gesprochen, dass man nur raten konnte, was er gerade von einem wollte. Wir haben zweimal ein Glas Weißwein bestellt, welches in der Karte mit 0,2 l angegeben war. Beim ersten Mal wurden aus der Flasche 0,1 l in das Glas geschenkt. Beim zweiten Versuch ein Glas Wein zu bekommen, war es zwar etwas mehr, aber immer noch deutlich unter dem Eichstrich für 0,2 l. Auf der Rechnung stand natürlich der volle Preis. Das hat dem ganzen Abend leider einen bitteren Beigeschmack gegeben.

We loved the food. The visit was really special treat for us. We had the salmon tatar which was ever so lovely presented as very delicious also the main course argentinien shrimps with pulpo and black pasta was very tasty! The desert pistachio mousse was perfect. We had a very nice white wine with the meal. The choices of wines are incredible. And you get a very good recommendation from the lovely and friendly staff . We sat outside on the cosy terrace but inside is also recommended. If you love France then it’s just the right place to go. You think you’re on a little holiday in France. The ambiance combined with the food is first class. Thanks to the team we had a great time!

There's really no other way to say it. The food (3 courses) was just consistently creative, courageous, fresh and all in all really perfect for me. Wir sind extra aus Frankfurt dorthin gefahren und müssen sagen: wir sind sehr positiv überrascht!! Das Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne und einzigartige Flair, so bisschen Südfrankreich Gefühl. Die Karte ist klein aber sehr fein, alles was wir probiert haben waren super lecker und finden den Preis absolut super angemessen!! Die beide Damen vom Service waren sehr engagiert und sympathisch, man merkt schon es war ein sehr stressiger Abend mit vielen Gästen drinnen und draußen, aber die beiden haben es super hinbekommen! Absolut empfehlenswert und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ;)

The meal was excellent. The service staff is very attentive and courteous. Allergies were also taken into account and explicitly asked which foods were edible. Unfortunately, the furniture in the restaurant is more reminiscent of a club bar and unfortunately doesn't quite match the excellent cuisine.

Wir waren gestern Abend spontan im Restaurant Fleur de Sel in Maintal und haben uns in einem wirklich schönen Ambiente sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Speisen waren angefangen vom Pollo Tonnato über den Lammrücken und den Maibock bis hin zur Dessertvariation geschmacklich überzeugend und liebevoll angerichtet. Die ausgewählten Rotweine (je ein 0,2 l Glas) wurden zunächst zum Probieren eingeschenkt und dann in einer kleinen Karaffe serviert. Das haben wir wirklich lange nicht mehr so erlebt. All das zusammen mit einem sehr zuvorkommenden Service (incl. Garderoben-Assistenz) hat uns einen rundherum schönen Abend beschert. Fazit: Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Last night we spontaneously went to the Fleur de Sel restaurant in Maintal and immediately felt at home in a really nice atmosphere. The dishes, from the pollo tonnato to the saddle of lamb and the maibock to the dessert variation, were tasty and lovingly prepared. The selected red wines (one 0.2 l glass each) were first poured for tasting and then served in a small carafe. We haven't experienced that in a really long time. All of this together with a very courteous service (including cloakroom assistance) gave us a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Conclusion: Gladly again at any time!

After a long break we were back at Fleur de Sel. The 4 and 5 course menu was an absolute delight, in a very pleasant atmosphere. The espresso can be a little more Italian, criticism at a high level. The absolute number 1 in Hanau and the surrounding area.

Inconspicuous location in a residential area. Menu very well designed. Very nicely presented on the plate. Quality and taste very good. Wine selection plentiful and well sorted. The service was extremely courteous and attentive. Nice terrace, a bit sober inside. Any criticism of the food is communicated to the kitchen. Very good. Portions plentiful. Bottom line: Highly recommended.

We were there on Whit Monday at lunchtime. It was sunny and we were able to sit outside! The menu was very tasty and the service was great!!! We had a very tasty, relaxed and lovingly cared for day 🤩🤩
