Like Thai Kitchen in Maintal

We've always enjoyed eating there. We like the ambiance and service, and we thought the food was excellent. However, the last two times we've been there, we've struggled with stomach pain and nausea. After the first time, we didn't see any connection, but now the nausea has returned right after eating there. We won't be back.

The most delicious Pad Krapao ever! 😍 We've been coming here for years, and every time it tastes simply fantastic. The dishes are authentically Thai, freshly prepared, and wonderfully spiced. If you love authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place to be. Highly recommended! 🫶🇹🇭

I come into the shop and order food for four people. The young man behind the counter, presumably the son, says it will take about 30 minutes. Okay, I say, take another Coke from the fridge, go outside and wait. After a while, a small family comes in and sits down. I'm still waiting outside. Everything's fine. They said it would take 30 minutes. After 20 minutes, I see that the family that came after me has already gotten their food. I go in, say nothing, and continue waiting on the stool. After a while, I see the young man packing up food. I think to myself, okay, I guess this is mine, go over and pay. Then he says, "No, no, this isn't your food yet." They probably ordered it over the phone. Then I asked him why that was, why people who came after me and ordered after me are already eating, and I'm still waiting here as if they'd ordered and not picked up. His answer was simply unprofessional, which isn't an answer for me either. He said "he couldn't influence the kitchen." That may be true, but I didn't care, I thought, so I said nothing and sat back down. At some point, presumably his mom came to me and tried to explain how things work there. What turned out was that if you eat there, you get your food faster than if you order. What?? I just said, "I'm sorry, but I don't understand that." Then the son shouted to his mom, annoyed, in their language. Something along the lines of "what are you talking to him, just leave him alone," at least that's how it came across. If only I'd gone to Hanau, where I usually go. But hey, now I know better. Then we realized at home that the food wasn't that great either. Conclusion: Apparently, as the landlady confirmed, people who go there and eat there (especially families) are treated more favorably, as if you were ordering takeout and waiting. Sometime after 45 minutes, the annoyed, unprofessional young man behind the counter told me my food was ready. I went, paid, and walked out. He didn't even look at me. Let alone an apology or anything else, or goodbye or anything else. This place is a long way from good service. That was the last time I went there.

A must-visit! The service was super friendly (and so were the guests, somehow), the MSG-free food was a culinary delight, and the value for money was spot on. I'd be happy to go back...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5 stars) The food at this restaurant is truly delicious – freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I have to deduct two stars: 1. No card payments – these days, that's simply outdated and quite impractical. 2. The peanut sauce is always too small – it tastes great, but the portion is regularly too small, which is a shame because it tastes so good. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit, but there's still room for improvement. (See above)

For me, this is the tastiest Thai restaurant so far. I've been a regular at least once a week for years and have never been disappointed. Very friendly staff and a nice, small location. Definitely recommend it.

It really tastes really delicious here. You have the feeling you are in Thailand. If you like, you can also improve your language skills. Very nice and friendly service even when it's busy. For us the best Thai food in the area for a fair price. The dishes taste authentic and are of consistently high quality. The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating, every time we visit we feel like we are in Thailand among friends! Our recommendations are the Pa Naeng Curry, Pad Thai and Mango Sticky Rice, which are only available seasonally. The soups also taste fantastic!

I've eaten here several times. The food is delicious and the price-performance ratio is right. The food can be eaten in the restaurant or packed to take away. My favorite dish is the shrimp soup, which is only slightly spicy. The service is very good and service is also possible at the table.

I eat there very often and am always impressed. The food is fresh and tastes great, with a great selection of vegetarian options. The service is attentive and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Totally recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. Note: places are very limited on site. So if you want to be sure to get a place, you should always reserve!

We really enjoyed our time here. The cuisine is authentic and it tastes fantastic. The owner is very nice and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately we don't come from the area, otherwise it would have a chance of becoming our regular place. But we'll come back at the next concert in the Batschkapp!

A real insider tip, as the food here tastes worlds different and is much more authentic than in all the other Asian restaurants that you usually see on the street corner. I’ve been to Maintal for 3 days and wanted to grab something to eat so I stumbled into „Like Thai“. The food is so delicious I had to come back the next day as well. If you are close by, make sure to go here. Ultra delicious food priced very fairly

Really delicious food! By far the best Thay for me! The restaurant is owner-managed and you can clearly tell that the ingredients are of very good quality. We had the vegetarian spring rolls, the chicken balls as starters. Main course was Thai Curry No. 30 and No. 44.

Ordered two dishes (Bami Pad and Kao Pad) each with crispy chicken. Unfortunately, in one dish the chicken wasn't cooked through and was still half raw.

We had decided to place an order with Like Thai. After placing the order we were told the food would probably take 15 minutes. However, after 25 minutes we were informed that we would have to wait another 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately, the young lady who served us appeared extremely listless and unfriendly. For the majority of the time we waited at the counter and there was no adequate response to customers entering. We also have to note that the dishes were unfortunately very poorly seasoned and a sauce was forgotten. After this experience, we regret to say that it will probably be the last time we order from Like Thai for the time being.

I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed. The homemade iced tea is great and the food is simply fantastically delicious. The preparation usually takes 20 minutes and the staff are always very friendly.

Ein kleines gemütliches Restaurant das definitiv einen Besuch wert ist. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich das personal ist sehr nett und das Essen hervorragend. Die Portionen sind ausreichend ich nehme aber immer noch eine oder zwei Vorspeisen dazu da es einfach frisch und lecker ist. Preis Leistung finde ich passt gut und gebe auch gerene ein kleines Trinkgeld.

Sehr klein - ich denke reservieren ist eine gute Idee. Das Essen ist fantastisch.

Das Essen ist super lecker. Wir haben schon verschiedene Speisen probiert und waren mit allen sehr zufrieden. Speisen zum Mitnehmen... am besten anrufen und bestellen, es kann zu einer längeren Wartezeit kommen, aber das spricht für sich.

Seit Jahren für mich das beste Thailändische Bistrorante! Die beiden Betreiber sind einfach tolle Menschen und machen alles mit Herz und Seele. Früher noch als Imbiss in Eschborn und mein Lieblingsziel in der Mittagspause. Leider müssen wir jetzt etwas länger fahren, aber es lohnt sich immer! Wer authentisches Thailändisches Essen liebt, sollte auf jeden Fall hier vorbei schauen. Aufgrund der Größe am besten reservieren und: nur abends geöffnet!

Das mit Abstand beste thailändische Essen in der Umgebung für einen unschlagbaren Preis. Der Name ist Programm. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Imbissen und Restaurants, die vorgeben, authentische, thailändische Küche anzubieten, werden hier typische thailändische Speisen von Thais zubereitet und serviert. Es fühlt sich an wie in Thailand. Wir haben bestimmt schon 50-mal hier gegessen und wurden nie enttäuscht. Zudem ist die Besitzerin sehr freundlich. Besonders empfehlenswert in meinen Augen ist das rote Curry, insbesondere Nr. 30, und natürlich das thailändische Nationalgericht Pad Thai.

Erstes Mal ausprobiert und total begeistert gewesen. Hatten zur 30 mit knusprigem Hühnchen noch eine Portion Pad Thai vegetarisch mit Tofu, auch das war der Knaller. Anrichtungsweise sehr appetitlich, Geschmack mega, Personal super nett, hier hole ich zukünftig öfter leckeres Thai-Essen. Sehr kleine Location mit wenigen Tischen, aber trotzdem super gemütlich eingerichtet.

Ein kleines schön eingerichtetes Restaurant in Maintal. Ich war dort mit meinem Bruder zum ersten Mal und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und hieß uns höflich willkommen. Wir hatten zweimal dasselbe bestellt, Tom yum Suppe mit Garnelen und zweimal Reis Curry mit Garnelen. Man hat sofort gemerkt, dass das Essen mit liebe zubereitet und eingerichtet wurde. Es war köstlich und dazu noch preislich voll in Ordnung. Wir kommen wieder!😊

Es war sehr , sehr schön wo Eine junge hübsche Frau und eine etwas ältere hübsche Frau die uns so freundlich bedient haben und beraten haben einfach klasse !! Ich war mit meinen 3 Kindern und meiner Enkelin und Hund am Samstag den 03.09. 2022 zum Essen da wir sind rund 45 Kilometer von Eppstein angereist aber jeder Kilometer hat sich gelohnt sodass ich mir die Nummer 42 zum mitnehmen bestellt habe heute Nacht bin ich an den Kühlschrank und probierte kalt die Soja Sauce deswegen schreibe ich heute diese Rezension einfach herrlich!!
