A very clean and good restaurant.

Food: Unfortunately the raw materials were not of good quality. We had two starters and two main courses and there was quite a lot left over. The food was well prepared. For me personally, the salmon starter (pickled salmon) was too small, but the portions of all the other dishes were absolutely sufficient, so I would also like to contradict some of the reviews that complained about the portions being too small. The bottom line is that I was disappointed with the food and because of the quality I find the price-performance ratio to be unsatisfactory. If the quality was appropriate, the prices would be justified as it is not an overpriced location. Service: The service initially works very well. What was good for us, however, was that we were already in the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. As the evening progressed, the service became more and more difficult and you had to accept longer waiting times. The service staff was nice and accommodating, we were given some information about the bottle of wine we ordered, so there is nothing to complain about. However, there were too few service staff. The bottom line is that you can't blame the staff, but management is welcome to think about adding a person. Ambience: I really liked the ambience. I didn't think the restaurant was "old-fashioned", but rather it seemed like a very good combination of tradition and modernity. The ambience also made me give it 3 stars and decide against 2 stars.

In my opinion, the food here is only cooked semi-fresh. The schnitzel and croquettes looked like they came from frozen. It didn't taste bad, but I expect better quality from a restaurant. I can make frozen schnitzel at home, too.

I would like to give 0 points for the friendliness and service. Let's see if this review is deleted or allowed to remain. But feel free to convince yourself. We ate at the Waldhaus and were greeted in a less friendly manner. After we had chosen a table, we were asked about drinks and also about the food. We shared what we would like as a starter and as a main course. A friend wanted a starter as a main course. This wasn't possible, according to the waitress. She had to bring the appetizers together and she was told to “eat more slowly.” She ordered the baked feta with fresh oven-baked baguette, as it said on the menu and without honey. Because she has several allergies. The food came (all together starter and main course) and the waitress brought the feta (four mini rolls of dough) with honey. She was very surprised and asked if my friend could still eat it because it had been prepared incorrectly. So the operator knows it's wrong and brings it anyway? And everything is always not friendly at all. The food was now there, of course there was no oven baguette as it said on the menu. After we asked in a friendly manner, the answer was “no, that’s not part of it,” which was again very unfriendly. My food was supposed to be cleared away in front of my nose even though I was in the middle of eating. After our friend ordered a cocktail, she received it with a plastic straw that was chewed and had lipstick stuck to it. Even as we pointed out, people became increasingly rude to us instead of apologizing (as they should). You leave a lot of money there, service and friendliness are 0. And then the patio heater was turned off even though we were still eating, so it quickly got cold. After 30 minutes a gentleman came and turned it on again. It was our first and last visit to this restaurant. Ambiance is really nice, that's it.

Relaxed atmosphere even in the run-up to Christmas. The food was very tasty and the service was more than friendly. Super nice restaurant 😊

The hangover is real, almost too relaxed and the food is delicious. Service attentive and friendly. The failed (or switched off?) heating meant we had to keep our jackets on inside, which unfortunately didn't help the comfort. Toilets super clean. We will appear again.

So we can't understand the positive recessions here. The food is really at the level of a snack bar/motorway service station and, considering the quality (it will primarily be frozen food), is very expensive. The service was very friendly, the restaurant and the sanitary facilities were clean. As I read in another review, the accusation of defamation is also being used here, which falsifies the rating. There is no other way to get such a good performance rating.

We like to go there in the summer because it's nice to sit outside. You have a total holiday feeling there because of the ambience. You can also take a nice walk there and around the restaurant. The restaurant actually has a great view of the lake everywhere. The rooms in the restaurant are also nice and the toilets are clean. Families were also thought of. There are children's menus and a playground for the children. The food has always been very tasty. Good portions that fill you up. We also had dinner there for my birthday. Everything was great👍🏻 we really enjoy coming. ❤️

Delicious food but long waiting times and expensive…

Unique views over the Lahn Valley and Marburg. Beautiful beer garden. Currently self-service, but the staff are happy to assist. The vacation apartments are also highly recommended.

The food was fresh, attractively prepared and, as everyone at the table said, delicious!
