Good schnitzel, you can sit outside. Really Dribdebach old school, not like all those Ballermann shops around it. Really! I sprayed the Struwwelpeter on the outside of the barrel freehand in 2004.

Had ordered 2 slaughter platters, they arrived lukewarm, with 1 slice of old bread! We were served by 4 different conditions! One took the food, the other brought it and for reordering stale bread you also had an extra condition. Apart from the drink you also needed a condition. Drinks were good, you can't really go wrong and they were too good Finally, you also had a condition for paying

5 stars+, there were two of us. I had a schnitzel with pepper sauce and, upon request, spaetzle, my wife had a schnitzel with semolina sauce and a side salad (hope the spelling is ok), we shared a 0.75l lemonade. Price €47.50, service very friendly. The facility is quaint but very well maintained. On each plate there were two thin, large, delicious schnitzels 😃 I would recommend my best friends to eat there 😉 However, if you don't like Eintracht Frankfurt, then you should eat somewhere else 😂

Real Frankfurt Abbelwoi pub with delicious food at a fair price/performance ratio. Optimal location if you use public transport or a bicycle, otherwise typical Sachsenhausen parking problems. Authentic despite many tourists. Feel-good place for real Frankfurters too

Now it's not as good as it used to be. Vouchers from Barometer, for example, are only redeemed reluctantly and when prices increase during the year, you end up with only one dish to choose from - simply ridiculous.

Sat outside. The food was very good and sufficient for both people. However, the side salad was only served after the waiter noticed that I was checking the menu again during the meal. There was a strong smell in the ladies' room. According to the waiter, I had to wait a long time to pay by card during the payment process. The last two points are unacceptable in my opinion and lead to my downvoting. Very unfortunate.

Don't be charmed by places with famous names. This place is the center of taste. Staff is very friendly, meals are very delicious. You should visit here if you wanna eat real German food.

Nice place to enjoy one or two medlars and a glass or two of cider. When it comes to service and food, however, things are very poor in terms of quality and performance. Sorry but orders were delivered incorrectly and the schnitzel is better off in many snack deep fryers...

The apfelwein is great to try! It's like a sour cider. The staff was great, but we went in just before rush time for a quick drink and can't really comment on the atmosphere, but the restaurant seemed very comfortable and cozy

Food really poor quality. (The kitchen should be set up better so that they can work the way they probably originally learned?) Profit isn't everything, it would be nice to place more emphasis on good craftsmanship. The waitresses were very unfriendly even for an Äppler restaurant. The Struwwelpeter benefits from the location and the external impression that everything is one. The three other apple wine bars (especially Affentorschänke) are much better… Original Frankfurter, you have to know where best to go (and especially where to get good, herbal green sauce :)). However, I finally created my own maps list “Bad” for this restaurant, so far I had only bothered to save it for particularly good restaurants… If you read other reviews, the response from the company is sometimes really not adequate. To your answer: Next time is very unlikely, because it wasn't just mediocre. Have you changed anything fundamental? Can you as a guest expect better quality?

An amazing pub with really good beer and very friendly servers. We had Suna as a waiter and he was amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. We had a few beers and the chicken schnitzel (which was amazing). I can’t wait come back!!

Friendly team and service, refreshingly different than the other cider taverns. The tone in Frankfurt's cider taverns can sometimes be a bit rough, but that's not the case here. The landlord is very friendly. The prices are moderate and the food was very tasty. An additional plus point: you can sit under chestnut trees, like in a beer garden. I can recommend it at any time.

My girlfriend said, rating below 4, we'd rather go somewhere else. But there were some appealing things on the menu, and in the end I was able to prevail. Had the meatball with pepper sauce, she had the grilled sausages, both with pü. The meatball is huge (don't make it smaller!), not too dry, nice and spicy, top quality. Herb with the sausages is also delicious. Only deduction, benches placed close together (inside). No matter, we'll still come back. Everything that was brought past looked and smelled very tasty. I'm looking forward to the Frankfurter Schnitzel next time. Service only three people. I assume that one or two not so good reviews result because communication suffers in the mega-stress. You're doing an amazing job. Respect and thank you! Apple cider also delicious. Gladly again!

We were here on a Saturday evening and were very hungry. We didn't have a reservation. When we arrived we were not greeted very hospitably. At the waiter's request, we sat down at a table with other people even though other tables were free. In principle it wouldn't be a problem if everyone who came after us hadn't been able to sit at a free table without saying a word. Now we have ordered the starter for 2 and 1 schnitzel each. Eating came pretty quickly. Starter wasn't really justified for the price, but schnitzel was perfectly adequate and tasty too. In between, a homeless man came by and we wanted to buy him a schnitzel. The boss probably didn't like this at all. We had said that he would wait outside (even though we were paying guests) and even this was not desired. I'll put it this way... This probably happens a lot in FFM. But we paid for a person who has nothing to get something to eat and this person is treated so inhumanely that I would have liked to get up and leave myself. And when I read through all the comments, we weren't the only ones who said: "The boss forbids that!". The boss himself is a stranger in this country. So, in my opinion, he of all people should at least offer the space to someone who is not doing so well if he is already being paid. For me it was the last time there. Because for me that no longer has anything to do with “cider farming”.

We had hand cheese, green sauce and schnitzel. The Handkäs marinade only tasted like water with oil, the potatoes were old and the schnitzel was partly hard, but the green sauce was delicious. We won't come again.

We were last week in Frankfurt and we came across this Apfelweinwirtschaft.. From a very central location, to the whole atmosphere, the very patient waiter to the served and delicious ordered portions .. every thing was very enjoyable.. it just made our day.. after a long day 🤗

Despite being busy, the waiter was friendly and appreciative. He pointed out to us that it might take a while to eat today. In the end it didn't take that long.

Highly recommended; We have now ordered twice, once via Lieferando and once via UberEats. It worked great and the portions are really big, you get something for your money here! It also tasted great, the schnitzels were golden and crispy, the green sauce was just perfect. Tip: Sachsenhäuser Schnitzel (baked with hand cheese) and extra green sauce! 👍😄

After a long time we spontaneously went to Struwwelpeter again yesterday (April 10, 2024); We used to often take advantage of the legendary Schnitzel Monday. We received a very friendly welcome, the service was pleasantly warm and in a good mood. Both the drinks and the appetizer came super quickly after we ordered. (Side note: We would have liked a lot more vinegar on the hand cheese, but it was all a matter of taste and our wish would probably have been granted if we had said something. We were given lemons to go with the schnitzel if we requested it.) For the main course we had a classic, Frankfurter Schnitzel. The portion was extremely large (two schnitzels!), there were plenty of delicious fried potatoes and the delicious semolina sauce wasn't skimpy either. The side salad we ordered separately, which bridged the time between the starter and main course, was also nice and fresh and had a great dressing. The ambience is a typical Frankfurt apple wine bar, rustic and cozy and in warmer times you can sit outside on two sides of the building and enjoy the charm of the district.

I just arrived in Germany, and this restaurant was my first stop. The outdoor service had a unique atmosphere – at first, I thought the waiter lighting a cigarette was a bit strange, but then I realized it's more common here. Regardless, the food was fantastic! I had wild boar sausage with red cabbage and mashed potatoes, paired with a glass of apfelwein. The apfelwein was a new experience, and the entire meal was delicious. It was a truly special way to begin my German adventure, soaking up the atmosphere and getting excited for what's to come.

Food quick and good, service super funny, if you don't want fancy, this is the place for you!

The service and the ambience were completely OK. There was no reason to complain about the food either. If you're expecting star cuisine, you're unfortunately wrong here. It's on the normal level of Äbbelwoi pubs. The Äbbelwoi, on the other hand, was not to my taste. I've had much better drinks. Simply meaningless. If you don't need one, you will be compensated with draft beer (Büble dark).

I've never been told how much to order by a restaurant. We were there on a Saturday evening and planned to drink a cider and have a snack as an appetizer, as we have reserved a table at the Italian restaurant later. The two ciders came quickly. When ordering our food, the waiter pointed out to us that it was Saturday evening and that we had to order at least one main course and one side dish, otherwise he would get in trouble from the boss. So with all the love, this is a cider bar - pub with a kitchen in an absolute tourist area. The restaurant should not be lacking in income and guests. Since it's so complicated if you just want to eat a little something here, I suggested that we quickly drink the cider that was already on the table and then leave. The waiter then made an exception and we got a main course that we shared between the two of us. Food came quickly and we left quickly because we felt completely unwelcome and half shooed out. The waiter can't help the principles, but the management has serious doubts. For us it was the first and last time. I advised my family and friends against visiting.

Even though we didn't have a table reserved, they were kind enough to ask on a table if they were willing to share the table. The restaurant is a typical German restaurant, with long wooden tables. The food was very good and homemade.

How lucky we were to find Struwwelpeter. After we were turned down by several landlords because we hadn't made a reservation (going out to eat spontaneously is probably no longer possible), we made one last attempt and ended up at Struwwelpeter. We really couldn't have done it better. Struwwelpeter reconciled everything with us. Very cozy atmosphere, appealing and extensive menu, friendly staff, delicious food, large portions, great price-performance ratio, we felt very comfortable. The Struwwelpeter is highly recommended, we would be happy to come back.

Good quality for decades despite changing owners. It starts with Schobbe and ends with Mispelche (thank goodness it's only slightly alcoholic). Recommendation: slaughter platter and grilled prime rib. Please note: there is only 1 standing room in the house for walkers or strollers.

Really good space for take a drink and food

Das Essen war super und obwohl es sehr voll war hat man sich wohl gefühlt. Der Flammkuchen den einer meiner Freunde bestellt hat, war für den Preis echt eine Enttäuschung, was die Menge angeht. Dazu kommt, dass der Laden an den Abend sich geweigert hat Zahlung mit Karte anzunehmen. Hier besteht ein sehr großer Verdacht auf Steuerbetrug und die Aussage, dass das Personal zu alt für Kartenzahlung ist, ist eine faule Ausrede.
