A lovely, traditional cider tavern! The food and drinks were excellent, and the service and atmosphere were top-notch. Seating with backrests would be a perfect addition, but even so, we'll definitely be back – highly recommended!

Never in my life have I been treated so badly by a waiter, so rudely and aggressively, as by one of the waiters at this restaurant. Just for asking if there was room for two people and waiting. I know it was extremely busy, but that's no excuse for such rude treatment. The waiter at the bar came to our aid. In the end, we stayed, and the food was delicious.

We, three football fans, like to go out to eat in Sachsenhausen or Bornheim after home games. What we were served last Sunday was, unfortunately, the worst we've ever experienced. The service was OK, but I wouldn't have expected my dog ​​to eat the schnitzel and side dishes. While the portions were large, they were deep-fried, completely seasoned, and relatively tasteless, even after adding plenty of seasoning. The cider is quite decent, albeit a bit thin in flavor, and the food is definitely not recommended. A waste of money.

I'm currently on a schnitzel tour of Sachsenhausen pubs. In comparison, Struwwelpeter scores average: - The schnitzel at Struwwelpeter tastes okay, but unfortunately, it's already (industrially?) pre-prepared. The breading is too uniform to have been applied by hand in the kitchen beforehand. There are definitely better ones. - The fried potatoes are weak. Instead of fried until crispy, at Struwwelpeter, small potatoes are simply halved and then lightly fried in the pan. The result is far too soft. - The salad is delicious—actually the best part of the schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad. - The apple wine is good, not too acidic. The service is excellent: attentive, fast, and always friendly (unusual for an apple wine pub).

Best place. The owner also does cultural activities on the side and ensures that you don't have to spend the evening without good company.

A place not to return to, with my family we spent €17 euros and they wanted to make me go to the cashier because it didn't reach €25, in the end we spent €27.80. Very rude and unpleasant. The worst place by far! Never again!

From last summer: The treatment of guests was unprecedented. Keller comes and asks if we're eating, yes. There are three of us, and we want to order two main courses, one Handkäs (a kind of cheese), and a Bembel (a kind of beer). We're simply thrown out. It should have been three main courses. Keller treated us with a rudeness and lack of understanding I've never experienced before. No matter how good it is, this kind of service and treatment isn't worth it. Just stay away.

We were at Struwwelpeter in Frankfurt during rush hour, and it was definitely noticeable. The waiters seemed quite stressed and were hectically running around the restaurant. Nevertheless, they took really good care of us and were consistently friendly and helpful. We were seated right away and were able to express our drink preferences. The drinks arrived promptly. Ordering food was straightforward; we didn't have to wait long, and we received friendly advice. The menu was extensive, with many hearty dishes. The price was a bit more expensive than what we're used to at home, but for Frankfurt and the portions, it was quite fair. The food itself was truly excellent. My schnitzel was juicy, the breading crispy, and the side salad very fresh. The portion was generous and absolutely filling. Overall, very good value for money. They even asked us from time to time if everything was okay, which I personally always find pleasant. There was a brief moment of confusion when paying, as they initially said card payments weren't possible. Ultimately, we were able to pay by card, which was important because we didn't have any cash on us. (Important: According to the staff, only physical cards are accepted by the machine, so no Apple Pay or Google Pay!!!) Conclusion: Despite the somewhat hectic atmosphere, we really enjoyed our visit. Friendly service, delicious food, and a down-to-earth, cozy atmosphere. Definitely much better than the 4.0 stars listed here on Google... We would definitely like to come back.

Really good food. Pretty good service. Was not expensive. A bit of a walk from the main sight of Frankfurt. The fried pork chop might have been the best I’ve ever had. The feta salad was weird at first because the feta was in logs, but ended up really liking it.

Avoid if you can. Service was terrible- worst I’ve had in DE. Ordered with one waiter who said I could order a small portion which I received. Had another waiter who never even served me demand I pay him before his shift was up. You must spend €25 to use a card which my bill was under so I had to pay cash. This was not stated anywhere and seemed like a scam. I saw he charged me for the full portion on the bill. When I questioned he told me the small was only for children which is what I received. He was belligerent and demanding arguing with me. I decided it wasn’t worth my time to keep speaking with this obviously small man and paid double for what I received and left. He then went to other tables to demand payment by cash for his shift. So sad to watch this kind of behavior as it just makes an otherwise decent experience (good bier, nice atmosphere) be ruined. Food was average.

Yes, I know!! The name alone suggests it's a bit of a tourist trap! But the service is friendlier, more welcoming, and more attentive than at other apple wine houses nearby. Huge portions, and the spaetzle are truly the best. The credit card reader doesn't always work—best to bring cash.

A quaint apple wine restaurant in Frankfurt. On a busy Saturday, it was a bit overwhelmed, with a few drops of the good wine getting lost on the way to the table. The sour wine tasted a bit watery, more like a 50/50 rather than a 75/25. The food was okay. Plus point: The popular outdoor seating under shady trees, easy to reach by bus.

Convenient location, the indoor space is a bit narrow but the outside is airy and chill. The best seller dish is roasted pork leg with salt, 1 portion for 1 person with a jar of German beer, it's super chill you must know 🍻👍

Had ordered 2 slaughter platters, they arrived lukewarm, with 1 slice of old bread! We were served by 4 different conditions! One took the food, the other brought it and for reordering stale bread you also had an extra condition. Apart from the drink you also needed a condition. I had a schnitzel with pepper sauce and, upon request, spaetzle, my wife had a schnitzel with semolina sauce and a side salad (hope the spelling is ok), we shared a 0.75l lemonade. Price €47.50, service very friendly. The facility is quaint but very well maintained. On each plate there were two thin, large, delicious schnitzels 😃 I would recommend my best friends to eat there 😉 However, if you don't like Eintracht Frankfurt, then you should eat somewhere else 😂

Real Frankfurt Abbelwoi pub with delicious food at a fair price/performance ratio. Optimal location if you use public transport or a bicycle, otherwise typical Sachsenhausen parking problems. Authentic despite many tourists. Feel-good place for real Frankfurters too

Now it's not as good as it used to be. Vouchers from Barometer, for example, are only redeemed reluctantly and when prices increase during the year, you end up with only one dish to choose from - simply ridiculous.

Sat outside. The food was very good and sufficient for both people. However, the side salad was only served after the waiter noticed that I was checking the menu again during the meal. There was a strong smell in the ladies' room. According to the waiter, I had to wait a long time to pay by card during the payment process. The last two points are unacceptable in my opinion and lead to my downvoting. Very unfortunate.
