The Galeria canteen is modernly renovated, the food is okay, the view is very nice. Unfortunately, the restaurant manager is a difficult case. Today I carefully pointed out to him the often greasy plates, and I was promptly reprimanded. There is a limescale problem in Frankfurt, dishes all over the city are like this when they come out of dishwashers. And even though I've been a regular for a long time, he didn't miss the opportunity to expel me from the restaurant. With the request that I should look for another restaurant in the future if I didn't like it. Wow. All I really had in mind was a clean plate. But that was simply asking too much for the restaurant manager today.

I discovered the restaurant by chance with a friend when we were at Galeria Kaufhof. When we drove up I got a map but she didn't. (the principle of the restaurant is that you get a card at the entrance and when you get something to eat you scan your card and when you leave the restaurant you go to a cash register to pay for everything that was scanned on the card) Since we understood that we should simply use them together, we did so. When we had paid for the meal, my friend was asked where her card was. We then explained to her that the card we had just paid with had both of our breakfasts on it because we only received one card from her at the entrance. The woman reacted very unfriendly and accused us of wanting to deduct them, although she could clearly see that our two breakfasts were saved on the card, which we also paid for. After a long discussion, she still showed no understanding and continued to assume that my friend had received a card. The food itself was quite good and relatively inexpensive.

The menu at the stalls can be more diverse. Last time I wanted sushi, but it was closed. I visit it mostly for the panoramic view.

Pure disaster. We were there for breakfast, you can first take 6 "pieces", bill them and then if you take more the card has to be placed again. And when you finally want to get out, you pay at the counter. If the elevator doesn't come, you have to get the tickets again to get to the other exit. No wonder Galeria goes bankrupt when you employ people who do pointless tasks just to get something done^^

Self-service restaurant with an outside cup that has a great view. Cappuccino and cake were good. However, the cleanliness of the tables and the floor left something to be desired. Unfortunately.

Correctly priced food for the place where you are, do-it-yourself service, very good atmosphere

I am a novel author living in Reykjavík. We are on vacation in Frankfurt. I recommend the terrace of this restaurant bar with incredible views. Affordable prices and good service. Below there is a shopping center where you can buy everything. Ideal for a snack after a day of shopping.

I liked it there even though the prices are a bit higher. I was impressed by the view over Frankfurt and the food on offer was fine for me.

Really very good pasta, but the quantity was clearly too small given the price - it fills up seniors, but certainly not hungry men. Staff very friendly and helpful, nice atmosphere.

Water was delicious. The cashier called my wife nice and called me ugly. Otherwise, sweeter loading.

Very bad place, the manager or the person who was managing the place at the time was so rude and aggressive, he talked in a very rude manner to my child. My child was waiting next to the ice-cream and was putting his arms on the glass, then that person came which he said that his name was “Toney” came and said to my child “Remove your hand from the glass you are not sitting on a couch and behave because it’s my restaurant.” Tho, I was standing next to my child he didn’t talk to me, he talked to my child. When I confronted him he responded in a very cold manner and he said “no one Is forcing you to stay.” We left after that but it was a very bad experience and shows me to never come there again because people like him are the worst type to meet.

Rooftop terrace self service restaurant. The food is ok. The view is spectacular. Price is reasonable.

As in many large cities, I am particularly interested in the large department stores. a. because of their roof terraces. There is also a restaurant here with a magnificent view of the Hauptwache and the Mainhattan skyline! Self-service and finding a good seat take some time, but it's worth it. Quality of the food was very good, a small point deduction for the service because not everything was available or not prepared as ordered.

Pizza was great and the lady was very friendly. Restaurant management a disaster. There are lots of dead flies and wasps on the window. When I asked, there was only one answer: Yes, yes, and no apology or interest whatsoever.

A terrace which gives a view of the city Frankfurt and these beautiful buildings. The restaurant is not too expensive and the menu at €18 is really good. The shopping center is very good for shopping and keeping away from Frankfurt HBF station and especially very very strange people, alcoholics or drug addicts….

Beautiful Rooftop with a nice upscale canteen that offers a good selection of breakfast as well as meals for lunch and dinner, coffee and cake. Choose and pick but careful it adds up... You will get a card once you enter that you have to present at the counter as pay. The entire pay will be paid upon exiting.

Sky Lounge restaurant on the roof of the Galleria store in Frankfurt's central market has a truly great location and ambiance. Exiting from inside the store. There is indoor and outdoor seating. In nice weather, you can definitely eat your meal, sip your coffee or drink in the open area with a wonderful view of Frankfurt. It provides self-service. You can first arrange the table you will sit at and then place your orders from the kiosks. They give an order loading card like a credit card for each person at the entrance. The meals and drinks you purchase are recorded on this card. You give this card to the cashier at check-out and pay your bill personally. If you are going to make a mass payment (not individually), you can also process all orders on a single card. A must visit place

We had breakfast there during the week (offer 6+1) and were thrilled. Everything was very fresh and the buffet was extremely lovingly prepared. Everything tasted very good and the breakfast offering was also good value for money. We will definitely come back.

I have never experienced such a bad galeria restaurant in my life. And I have never experienced a breakfast buffet like this. When it comes to price, we prefer to remain silent. Baked rolls and that in a restaurant. Then the service person was visibly annoyed that she had to carry the tray to the table because I have mobility problems. 1 star for the great view 1 star for the other service person who was very nice

Great for strolling and shopping

Only tried the passion fruit cake and cappucchino. Cake super delicious.

It's not a place where the food is delicious. Among the desserts, the pudding variety was good. The burger patty was a bit dry and smelled like meat, and the salad was too sour. Chicken... hmm… .. But it’s a place I visit often. First of all, it is spacious and clean, and when the weather is good, the view of Ppu from the outdoor terrace is beautiful. Toilet costs 0.50 euros Coffee was about 3.7 euros for a cappuccino. Pudding is 4.7 euros. Apple pie 5.5 euros The meal menu seems to range from about 14-20 euros. This is a system where you give an electronic card when entering, present the card you received upon entering when paying at each food corner, and make a lump sum payment when leaving. (A bit like a Korean sauna system ^^)

Nice view overlooking the city, with decent food and drinks.

We were here in the evening and had burgers with fries. The fries were very tasty (salty and crispy). The burgers were also super tasty! The burger bun looked rather soft at first, but turned out to be really tasty and was just right (soft, but still crispy). Hard to describe, but highly recommended! The service staff were all very friendly. But it is a self-service restaurant. At the beginning you are given a payment card on which the dishes are booked and when you leave the restaurant the card is returned to the checkout and paid for. The view of the skyline from the terrace is very beautiful.

Great ambience, in the middle of Frankfurt on the roof terrace of the Galeria Kaufhof. We were there on a Saturday when the weather was great and it was very busy. The service staff seemed very stressed and annoyed. You won't find a smile or a kind word here. But it's probably not expected due to the audience. We still really enjoyed our Aperol and Lillet Wildberry on the terrace with a view of the skyline. The location is always worth a visit and I'm definitely not there for the last time.

Unfriendly response to my questions: “read what it says above”. Thanks for that! Salt the schnitzel and the sauce, only have fries as a side dish and that for around €16.00. The salads are ok. Annoying hack music in the background. The prices are overpriced. I don't come here anymore. It used to be a good restaurant.

Excellent food court, with command service, with many food and drink options, as well as desserts. wonderful view of the city with an open terrace, as it is on the 7th floor! Normal prices for the city, I recommend the pizzas, baked to order!

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this restaurant. There is a complete lack of organization and service, it is often dirty and the food is at best fast food. There is no longer any relationship between price and performance. It's a shame, it was really nice here after the reopening.

The third time and getting worse. Various vegetables and potato gratin. The mushrooms were inedible. The vegetables tasteless and sour. The meat is tough from standing for so long. That's not worth a euro.

Very customer-unfriendly processes. It takes forever to get everything together and the price-performance ratio is NOT right for self-service. Nice view, but inside an atmosphere like an expensive canteen. Not recommendable.

The roof terrace is a highlight in Frankfurt! Great view. Some of the planes can be seen one after the other before landing at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), like a string of pearls. Food from affordable to expensive, something for everyone. You get a credit card at the entrance and pay at the very end when you leave.

Really pretty and elegantly furnished for being a self-service restaurant. I also love the view from the terrace. The food on offer is varied, delicious and you can see straight away how it is prepared for you. I also enjoy the coffee there. When guests visit me in Frankfurt, this is always a must-have.

Quite nice on the terrace in summer. The rest of the event is 100% canteen. The noisy atmosphere, the quality of the very expensive food and the non-existent service. Better to avoid it or only plan it for business lunch.

One of the few options to eat inexpensively in downtown Frankfurt. I wrote the above sentence five years ago. That no longer applies. The Kaufhof Restaurant has now become very expensive. As a reminder, you eat in a department store and self-service is the order of the day. The payment system when leaving opens the door to fraud.

It is a very nice and decent place. I will definitely stop by when I go to Frankfurt. It is a must-visit place. The prices are not exaggerated, the view is wonderful. I think it is one of the symbols of Frankfurt and deserves praise. I hope we continue to accumulate good memories...

Top ambience, service & food :)

The Galeria Restaurant is right next to the Hauptwache. On the top floor of Galeria Kaufhof. There are many stations with buffets, live kitchen, etc. A highlight among them is Handrollbar GO by Steffen Henssler. We've been there many times. The other day we had potato gratin with truffles and mushrooms. The dish was nicely harmonious. There is also often (monthly) variety in the menu. The Galeria Restaurant offers a unique panoramic view of the Frankfurt skyline.

I was at the Galeria Restaurant 3 days ago and had the incredibly delicious potato truffle gratin. It's a great option for vegetarians. It's a shame that the campaign is over and I hope it comes back soon 😍

Outside view was great. Taste of the dishes were not bad. Can buy Binding beer.

A little too big to be comfortable

Modern interior design and a legendary view of the Hauptwache. We had lunch here on a Saturday and didn't regret it. The dishes were very delicious 🤤 although the size was rather too small for my appetite. At peak times, it's difficult to get a coveted window seat with a good view. But you can always take a few photos of the Zeil on the balcony.

After the renovation it is very cozy here. In summer you can also sit on the terrace and enjoy the view over the skyline. At the entrance you get a card on which all food and drinks are scanned. There is a large selection of food. There is a breakfast buffet, and at lunch there are changing offers and freshly prepared dishes or a buffet that you can help yourself to. The buffet plate is then weighed and added to the card. It is very large and spacious, in the back there is a quieter part where you can go with children. The adjacent toilet has a changing room. High chairs for small children are also available. For the little ones there is a children's menu with toys. My only complaint is that only one of two elevators has been working for months. If you want to go up with a stroller, it takes an incredibly long time because the elevator also goes through all floors of the Galeria and stops. It would be nice if this could be fixed promptly!

Watch out, trap! When you enter the restaurant you are given a card that you have to "check out" even if you don't consume anything. Since the food didn't seem inviting, I and many others wanted to give the menu back. However, this is forbidden. You have to stand in a long line to "check out". One lady was quick enough to escape the system. I wanted to do the same and was prevented from leaving the restaurant with brute force by the staff. A report would cost me even more time. Don't go!!!!

Just great. We were here for a coffee ☕ but the food looked very good. You sit beautifully on a terrace and have a fantastic view🤩 of Frankfurt, it's worth coming here for that alone. There is a card system for paying. You get a card at the entrance, if you get drinks☕🍾 or something to eat🍜🍰, the food and drinks are registered on it. At the end you pay💶 at one of the 2 cash registers. It's self-service.

Schnitzel was served half raw and, upon complaint, served again with the wrong sauce. However, the quality here was by no means worth the €18 paid. Actually a very nice restaurant with a great ambience and a viewing terrace, please. The quality of the food and the staff should be appropriate…

Very unfriendly and impolite employee at the pasta counter, the portion was ridiculously small, I felt like I was being defrauded of paying €15 for it when the cost of goods sold was a maximum of €1, the cashier was also very arrogant: “hadi, faster, faster!” When I asked to give me a receipt, she ignored me and said “next” while showing me her hand to leave! I was very shocked and disappointed with such treatment. Never again restaurant in Galeria Kaufhof in Frankfurt.

Trotz SB leider sehr lange Wartezeiten. Ich stelle mich nie gerne an und warte, weshalb mir der Hunger verging. Man muss aber bekennen, dass zB die Pasta und Pizza frisch zubereitet wird. Alles in allem aber auch recht teuer und sehr voll. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf die Skyline ist natürlich einmalig.

Wir waren dort zum Frühstücken und haben das Buffet genommen. Sehr lecker und viel Auswahl. Einzige Schwachstelle war, dass nur ein Heißgetränk im Preis inbegriffen ist. Das Ambiente mit dem Blick auf die Frankfurter Skyline ist unschlagbar.

In früheren Zeiten konnte man in den Galeria Restaurants noch einigermaßen günstig essen. Jetzt hat man ein stylisches Ambiente geschaffen und gleichzeitig das Preisniveau nach oben verschoben. Sehr negativ fällt das Bezahlsystem auf, bei dem man Getränke und Speisen auf eine Karte bucht. Wenn dabei Fehlbuchungen geschehen oder etwas, was gar nicht bestellt worden ist, auf der Karte vermerkt wurde, fällt das erst beim Verlassen des Restaurants auf. Dann den Kassierern klar zu machen, dass ein Fehler passiert ist, wird schwierig, denn es fehlt ja das Corpus delicti. Wir werden künftig für den Snack nach dem Einkauf andere Lokalitäten aufsuchen. Zu loben ist die schöne Aussicht.

2 Sterne insgesamt nur aufgrund der Aussicht! Essen war Katinenessen in teuer! Personal am Buffett war mehr mit sich selber beschäftigt, als mit Kunden! Essen war nicht beschriftet. Weiterhin hablroh und eher kalt als warm... War früher besser organisiert! Fazit: Enttäuschung ☹️

Das Highlight des Restaurants ist die Terrasse mit Blick über Frankfurt. Auch innen ist das Ambiente gediegen und modern ausgestattet. Das Essen kann man sich selber am Buffet zusammenstellen. Abgerechnet wird nach Gewicht (der Speisen ;-) ). Da kommen leicht 20 Euro für eine mittlere Portion zusammen. Für uns ist ein Ausflug hierhin immer eine Besonderheit, insbesondere am Samstag.

Schönes Self-Service-Restaurant in der Obersten Etage der Galeria Kaufhof auf der Zeil. Die Dachterrasse einen schönen Ausblick auf die Skyline von Frankfurt. An wärmeren Tagen oder im Sommer sollte man auf jeden Fall draußen sitzen, sehr schön gestaltete Dachterrasse mit schönen Ambiente. Sehr nettes Personal an den Theken und der Bar.

Spontan abends die Idee gehabt mal auf die Dachterrasse zu fahren und es war noch schöner als erwartet. Phänomenale Aussicht auf die Skyline und dazu eine riesige Auswahl an Essen&Getränken, auch noch um 19h. Der Lillet Wildberry war sehr gut und preislich für solch eine Lage mehr als angemessen! Die Außenbepflanzung könnte etwas gepflegter sein (Bambus vertrocknet und Müll in den Pflanzkübeln) und wieso ich mit der Galeria-Karte keine Punkte sammeln kann, ist mir ein Rätsel... Eine Idee noch: am schönsten Punkt mit der besten Sicht auf die Skyline sollte man vielleicht auf den Tisch verzichten und den Fotografen/Posern den Platz lassen. Wenn man nämlich genau dort sitzt, kommt sowieso jeder an und macht Fotos - ohne Rücksicht auf die am Tisch. Also, Tisch weg und gleich den Weg frei machen, ist für alle einfacher! ;-)

If you buy something from Galeria, you will receive a coupon that can deduct 10% in the restaurant. You take the escalator up to the restaurant, and you receive a card that is used to accumulate your orders (the food is weighted on the scale). There is a restroom inside the restaurant. The view from the top is amazing. When you are done, you bring your card to the counter, and pay the meal expense there.

Bestes Ambiente an der Hauptwache. Guter Kaffee und Kuchen (Der Kuchen, ist halt Standard Auftauware). Das Essen, ist besseres Kantieneessen (Mittagsmenü ab 8,95€). Die Aussicht, sofern man sich an die Fenster setzt, grandios (Abends besonders). ⚠️ Die Tische wackeln fast alle und irgendwie, ist es zu Laut. Das Bezahlen (Kartensystem) ist richtig schlecht. Hier sollte man unbedingt darauf achten, was auf die Karte gebucht worden ist (wird wohl öfters Falsch gebucht).

Super Ausblick, einer meiner Lieblingsplätze!

Habe nicht gegessen daher nur 4 Sterne, ich kann ja nichts beurteilen was ich nicht gemacht habe.

Tolle Aussicht auf die Skyline. Ein Manko gab es trotzdem, 1 Aufzug von 2 funktionierte nur, dadurch lange Wartezeit. Für Rollstuhlfahrer gibts ja keine andere Möglichkeit ins Restaurant zu kommen.

Die Aussicht übertrifft alles 🙂 Essen ist ok aber schon etwas teurer. Es wäre besser wenn man bedient werden würde da es bei hoher Auslastung schwierig wird an seinen Tisch zu kommen weil alle mit ihrem Tablett durch wollen.

Das Restaurant ist in der 7. Etage der GALERIA Frankfurt an der Hauptwache. Von der Skylounge-Panorama-Terasse – mit gestyltem Barbereich – hat man einen sehr schönen Blick auf die zum Greifen nahe Frankfurter Skyline. Das Restaurant ist bis 20 Uhr geöffnet. Man bekommt am Eingang zur Rolltreppe nach oben eine Chipkarte, auf die alles Verzehrtes geladen wird und am Ende am Ausgang abgegibt und bezahlt. Wir hatten eine Latte Machiato und einen Aperol Spritzz für 7,99 €, was ich für ein Restaurant ohne Bedienung ziemlich teuer finde. Man steht in einer Schlange für Getränke an und bekommt dann seinen Wunsche, den man dann selbständig auf die Terrasse trägt. Wir saßen draußen an der Bar der Terrasse, da leider alle Tische am Freitagnachmittag gegen 17 Uhr belegt waren.

Wir waren gegen 14 Uhr in diesen Restaurant zum Kaffee trinken. Zuerst muss man sich je Person eine digitale Bezahlkarte mitnehmen, auf diese werden dann die Speisen und Getränke abgerechnet. Dies funktioniert recht gut. Am Schluss geht man zu einem Ausgang und bezahlt dort dann seine Rechnung, dabei ist es egal ob alles (bei mehreren Personen) auf einer Karte ist, oder jeder seine eigene Karte nutzt. Die Bezahlung geht recht schnell, jedenfalls schneller als ein Aufzug da ist. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, und die Aussicht von oben über Frankfurt, selbst bei schlechten Wetter richtig toll. Die einzelnen Essstationen an denen Getränke und Speisen angeboten werden, sind übersichtlich und recht sauber. Wir haben u.a. einen Kaffee, Mineralwasser und 2 süße Nachmittagsspeisen erwählt. Einen Frankfurter Kranz im Glas und einen Erdbeertörtchen. Die Preise der Getränke sind etwas höher als normal, aber ertragbar. Der absolute Knüller ist aber das Erdbeertörtchen, dieses kostet tatsächlich € 5,90, klar man weiß es vorher, das war und ist auch nicht das Problem, sondern die Unverschämtheit solch einen überzuckerten Mist für diesen Preis dem Kunden anzubieten. In diesem Erdbeertörtchen ist nicht mal eine einzige Erdbeere enthalten, nicht mal eine Scheibe davon. Nein, es wird nur süßer Sirup mit Erdbeergeschmack auf dem Teller verteilt und in dem Törtchen massig verwendet, dadurch ist dieses Törtchen tatsächlich furchtbar süß und schmeckt nicht wirklich, da überzuckert. Dazu kommt das auf dem dekorierten Teller 2 Blätter Minze liegen, die aber leider bereits um 14 Uhr auf dem Teller vollkommen vertrocknet da liegen. Sieht dies denn niemand? Oder interessiert es einfach niemanden, Hauptsache verkauft. Wie gesagt das für € 5,90. Besser kann man seinen Kunden nicht das Geld aus der Tasche ziehen. Ich für meinen Teil werde, die Restaurants von Galeria meiden, denn es war enttäuschend.
