Really highly recommended, food and service top

We ate at this restaurant the evening before our flight. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. However, the atmosphere is cruel. It's like mass processing. Noise and hustle and bustle everywhere. So preparing for your vacation is something different.

The pasta was really a culinary delight. It was very pleasant to sit outside but you couldn't beat my company last night. Simply a 10/10!

I ordered straccetti di vitello al forno..veal strips on penne with champion ram sauce..20.90 no kalp to be found...I complained and a new one was brought after about 10 minutes..this had 5 super small pieces of meat. ..not good ripoff PS my server was very nice

We were in Frankfurt the evening before our flight so we didn't have to go to the airport at 4 a.m. While looking for a nice restaurant in the immediate vicinity of our hotel, we stumbled across "the Italian" on Google... beautiful location and good ambience. The menu is varied and the food tastes really good. However, the waiters were significantly understaffed and therefore logically stressed, which was noticeable in their friendliness and attentiveness. We, as well as other guests, had to repeatedly make ourselves known to receive another drink or to place their order. From the moment we told the waitress that we would like to pay to the moment we actually paid, it took more than 30 minutes and we had to let another waiter know that we would like to pay before our waitress finally came to cash. All in all, a really successful evening with good food. We will definitely come back if we stay in the same hotel again

Extremely tasty. Here is the tastiest tiramisu in the world, very fast service - the food was brought in 10 minutes, such speed is rarely expected anywhere. There are Ukrainian-speaking waiters. A very pleasant and atmospheric place, we always go there when we are in town

Visit on 7/23/24 morning. Quality of food and service depends heavily on the staff present. We have had breakfast here several times and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, on our last visit it was absolutely disastrous. I had the “BELLISSIMA” breakfast and asked for the vegetarian option. I received a carelessly arranged plate with 12 (!) slices of Gouda cheese for 1 roll. Instead of replacing the meat components with alternative cheese or jam/honey/Nutella or whatever, a useless amount of cheese was simply thrown on without asking. There were also several alternatives of rolls on the menu, but we weren't asked exactly which one we wanted. At €13.50 for breakfast I find that very cheeky. You might expect something like that from a bakery, but not from a restaurant. We also had to ask several times because things that were part of breakfast were simply forgotten. The gentleman who served us was very unmotivated and, to top it off, was annoyed because we had to speak to him several times because he (!) kept forgetting something. We always enjoyed going there, but the last visit was very daunting. You get the impression that it depends on the staff whether you get good food or not.

Tasted like they took decent risotto and dumped a 1/4 cup of salt on it, couldn't finish my dish.

There were 7 of us who ate. 5 meals were great, one was just OK and one was not good at all.. the noodles were far too soft and instead of pine nuts we were given sunflower seeds. The complaint was not responded to at all.. and we had to pay the full price Although we were promised that we would make up for the failed meal

a good and upscale Italian restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Overall, the food was very good, well seasoned, the salads were fresh, the meat was on point and the dessert was delicious. We had the Italian Burger, Risotto Gamberetti, Gnocchi with Pesto, Saltimbocca alla Romana and, to finish, Tiramisu. Value for money and service absolutely recommended!

Modern looking restaurant, with very friendly staff and reasonable prices, offering a great selection of Italian dishes, burgers, salads pasta and pizza. Their drinks menu is a must check with a variety of cocktails, beer and wines. They also have an outdoor sitting aerea during summer and pets are welcome.

Unfortunately, I advise against it. Tasteless pasta with salmon. The burger is weak. The only plus is good table wine. Only for great hunger.

Average is the best possible description of this restaurant. I ordered an aperitif and a glass of wine with the main and they brought everything together. The main (pasta with burrata and Cherry tomatoes) was bland, no seasoning. At the end, when paying you're asked how much you want to tip a very dissapointing service, we are not in America where we have to tip bad service but you're kinda obliged to... Only good thing is the interior of the restaurant, which is quite cosy.

I recently visited this restaurant and have mixed feelings about the experience. The ambience is great, and the design of the place is okay. However, the service was not up to par, though I understand it was busy at the time. The major disappointment was the food. We ordered an avocado salad, but it was awful. There was no avocado as expected; instead, it looked like guacamole and was drenched in dressing, making it soggy. It was so bad that we refused to pay for it. We also ordered a pizza, which was mostly bread. While it tasted fine, it didn't taste that good either. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you have other dining options available. The food quality needs significant improvement to match the otherwise pleasant setting.

BE REALLY CAREFUL about your personal belongings if you choose this place!!! I left a shopping bag on my seat and returned after 15 mins max. Guess what? The waitress who took our bill (an old lady) and the person who cleaned our table said they didn’t see the bag at all!!! I’m lucky coz that’s an empty (but rather good looking) bag, but what if I had personal items inside? The staff are dishonest, they either throw away things or steal them and deny what they did…depending on how you want to interpret their behavior. Attaching the photo to prove I did visit here. Food is just average, salmon is too salty.

The carbonara didn't taste like anything and the waiter responded to the criticism of the bad food with: "... but you ate?" Definitely the first and last visit. Even my colleague’s pizza was “okay” at best.

Pretty much the only spot for dinner in the corner of Gateway Gardens on Saturday night, but we were pleasantly surprised. Good pizza dough, good toppings and the service was ok. Sure, the price-performance ratio isn't the best, but it's OK for the direct proximity to the airport. You can go here without hesitation...

I recently visited a restaurant and had an unpleasant encounter with a rude German doorman. He was dismissive and curt, barely acknowledging us as we entered. When we asked for directions to our reserved table, he acted annoyed and unhelpful. It was a poor first impression and really set a negative tone for the evening. A welcoming and polite doorman can make a big difference in starting the dining experience on the right foot.

I recently visited a restaurant where there was this incredibly rude and unsympathetic German guy working there. Every time a customer wanted to use the toilet, they had to ask for permission. It's absurd! This kind of behavior seems to happen only in Germany!

Our visit to the restaurant was a truly unforgettable experience for our entire family - from our youngest member at 6 months old to the eldest at over 50 years old. We arrived at exactly the right time and got a table quickly. The staff member who took us there immediately greeted the children with a happy high five, which got us off to a perfect start. The service was straightforward and very helpful, and just reading the menu made our mouths water. We tried everything from pizza to lasagne - everything was fresh, hot and of excellent quality. My wife even declared that it was the best lasagna she had ever eaten. The restaurant and washrooms were extremely clean, and we were pleasantly surprised at how many staff members looked after the guests. Nobody had to wait long, which speaks for excellent organization and customer service. The price of the restaurant is a little above average, but that is absolutely justified. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant - a first-class address for wonderful food and excellent service!

Very nice Italian restaurant near several airport hotels, a great alternative to the hotel restaurants. Very good price/performance ratio. Unfortunately you can only have breakfast from 10 a.m., which can be too tight for departures in the morning.

Food arrived super quickly, unfortunately not particularly seasoned, everything tasted very simple. Then it's so incredibly expensive! Clearly there isn't much choice in the area. In my opinion, really outrageous prices. You can't say anything against the service, very friendly and quick.

The mushroom cream sauce with chicken and vegetables is fantastic. Some may argue a little salty but it’s the perfect seasoning for us. The bolognese is very good. I asked for extra sauce because I like it wet and it was perfect. I added a little pepper and salt. Garlic cheese pizza bread is two good sized slices. Two people max share. Maybe three. Beer on tap is $3-6. Pilsner or paulaner Hefeweizen. We would recommend this place. Really liked our female waitress. Knew menu and confident in the menu.

We received a friendly welcome here and you can't say much against the service. Fast and attentive. The food, however, was rather average. Pasta completely overcooked. The bread/pizza around the pastrami sandwich was dry and anything but fresh, and only half filled. Which is a shame for an 18€ sandwich. The coleslaw was more mayo with cabbage than the other way around. The pretty interior doesn't make up for this.

Absolute recommendation. This is exactly how pizza should taste! Extremely friendly service staff too.

Great spot for dinner, with lots of options to choose from! The Tagliatelle noodles are amazing, and variety of sauces were nice to build your own dish. Dessert was delicious, ice cream sundaes were to die for. Drinks amazing ans tasty as well! Service was super quick and everyone so sweet!

The food is cafeteria style, quick and easy for the kitchen to throw together. The quality of ingredients is cheap for the price paid for the items. The types of food are lunch items served for dinner. The pizza crust is too thin. The host ignored me when I walked in first, waiting to be seated until my husband and brother stepped up beside me, then the host asked, "how many?" Men like that who thinks and treats women like they are less than and have no rights perpetuate the injustices of society.

Our first visit to the italian today clearly receives a 5-star rating. From the pastrami and club sandwich to the salmon bagel and the “Sunshine Bowl” - the quality of the food was clearly convincing. The pancakes with maple syrup for dessert were also first class. When it came to drinks - from peppermint tea with fresh mint to latte macchiato to freshly squeezed orange juice - everything was perfect. The service was very attentive, the atmosphere was very nice (bright and very nice decor). This is how Sunday can start. We will be back; keep it up!

I originally planned to go shopping in the supermarket. I saw the nice atmosphere of this restaurant and went in. The pizza was surprisingly delicious. There was a lot of cheese and the crust was crispy. All the male waiters were handsome. I will definitely go there again.

Hello, the two of us were really pampered today. Tomato soup and a small salad first, the request for Caesar dressing was no problem, the main courses were avocado salad and for me a pastrami sandwich with coleslaw salad. It was really good because, for example, the bread was homemade and the meat tasted great with the dressing. Two small beers in advance, 1 bottle of water and a bottle of good Primotivo, €78, and that's only a 10-minute walk from the airport. There's no better way to start your vacation. A thank you to the team!

Really solid Italian restaurant near the airport with good value for money. The pizzas are highly recommended but everyone at the table who chose other dishes was also happy. Special requests are (usually) taken into account... but in the end there was quite a lot of olive oil on my pizza, which I had specifically ordered without. Thanks to reservations we had space; but you had to fight for the waiters' attention to order drinks because it was so busy. Hence a star deduction.

One of the worst attitude received from the employee named Sandro.. This was our first time in Frankfurt. This restaurant was recommended by the hotel since we arrived late from the Airport. Even though we got there at 10pm. He said there is nothing available but the pizza since its already 10. Which is ok. Sandro then rudly asked "are you ordering or no". While about to sit to look for the menu we asked for the WiFi. He again rudly refused. " Unless you place the order I can't give you the password. .... We told him the way you spoke is very rude. He didn't care. ..... Whereas another waiter Anam was very courteous and pleasant.

We had a nice dinner at this restaurant. Ordered pizza and pasta with salmon, both were good. My friend ordered aperol spritz and said that it’s the best aperol she has tried :) Lemonade was also good. Service was fast and friendly though the restaurant was quite crowded. It’s possible to pay by cash or card.

The only restaurant here at Gateway Gardens that was open at Easter. Ambiance is great. Unfortunately the service is just average. The pizza also looked better visually than how it actually tasted. The base was very badly burnt and the spices were missing from the topping.

Very expensive and not good food. Penne tasted like nothing and I could have made it much better at home. There were also four tomatoes and a few slices of eggplant. My girlfriend's pizza was also below average. Drinks were way too expensive and the food wasn't worth it either.

It was very relaxed at the weekend for lunch including children. Nice staff and friendly atmosphere. Noodles are served quickly. There was also ice cream for the children.

Tuna fisch sandwich was good although served with lays which i find weird. Pancakes were so small and so less it really doesn’t make sense to order them/ pay 10 euro for 3 pieces.

A very nice, large restaurant located near Frankfurt Airport. The menu is large, but still authentically Italian. When we ate there, I was a little put off by the atmosphere at first: in the middle of an industrial area and the furnishings were a bit like a Vapion. However, the food was a lot better, the staff was very friendly and the price-performance ratio was reasonable. There are also both vegetarian and vegan options. Toilets and tables were clean and there was a pleasant atmosphere. If you plan to eat there between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., you should make a reservation. Happy to come back!

My tasteless pasta with fresh tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and light cream sauce and FINEST olive oil unfortunately only consisted of pasta with cream sauce, 3 cocktail tomatoes and small chewing gum-like cubes of mozzarella. No taste and no olive oil, but a hefty price of €16.90. Unfortunately, my request for salt and pepper was not heard or questioned by the service.

We were very disappointed with our meal. How can you go wrong with Pizza Margarita? The cheese was chewy like rubber! Worst pizza in a long time. Plus a bad-tempered waitress.

The food is fantastic. I have been here several times so far on my holiday and ordered different food each time, it was always really amazing. Loads of flavour, presented well and a good size portion. The staff are friendly, quick to act. I accidentally left my belongings here one night and the next morning I realised. I went back and found they had collected, and kept safe my belongings. Well worth the visit.
