Mama mia, a true Italian gem! 🇮🇹 Super fast service, warm and smiling waiter who really takes care of you. The dishes were incredibly fresh, generous, and bursting with flavor. Unbeatable value for money — you can tell everything is homemade. No waiting at all, everything flowed perfectly. A real pleasant surprise — everything was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I’ll come back with my eyes closed!

A good, inexpensive restaurant. Unfortunately, the air conditioning doesn't work, making it unbearable! It's a shame, otherwise it would definitely have been 5 stars.

Parking in Frankfurt is generally difficult, especially in this area. We were staying at a nearby hotel and went to this bistro because they didn't serve breakfast after 10:30 a.m. We liked the concept: You can eat there anytime – with no time limit, which is nice. It's really nice and cozy inside, and okay outside. The chairs outside didn't seem particularly sturdy to me, but they served their purpose. I had a beef burger – it tasted okay, but rather small for the price. A positive was that I could get vegetables instead of fries. My wife's meal was much better – delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the service was poor: hardly any eye contact, no one asked if we wanted anything else – overall, it seemed as if the waitresses weren't particularly interested. This significantly tarnishes the overall impression. Conclusion: Three stars. The food and ambiance were okay, but nothing special. The service was disappointing. Overall okay, but not convincing enough to come back or recommend it.

Great restaurant with gluten free options. I was staying at a near by hotel for the weekend and was exploring gluten free options. I am a coeliac and noticed that this Italian had GF pasta on their menu. Dish was great, lovely location too

Food is mediocre at best and the service is almost non-existent.

Disappointing visit from an unfriendly, almost aggressive waiter. After a long day at work, my colleague and I wanted to relax and enjoy a pizza at "The Italian." Although the restaurant was at most one-third full, a waiter (with long brown hair in a braid) asked us to leave our chosen table for four by the window and sit at a smaller table for two – citing a "rule." When we asked why other guests were allowed to sit at four-person tables, the answer became contradictory: Outside, it supposedly doesn't matter where you sit. This made the rule arbitrary and difficult to understand. The way we were spoken to became increasingly brusque, the tone unfriendly, almost aggressive. After ordering, we felt so uncomfortable that we left the restaurant. Other employees seemed irritated; apparently, our impression wasn't entirely unfounded. If rules are more important than treating guests with respect, especially in a nearly empty restaurant, something is fundamentally wrong. Friendliness costs nothing, but it scares away fewer people than unnecessary strictness or rules. What a shame!

American-style Italian restaurant.

The Italian is located near the hotels in the Gateway Gardens area and was a great place for lunch during an overnight stay in Frankfurt. Despite the concert-related crowds that day, we easily got a table for two. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. The service was excellent: Despite the busyness, the staff were relaxed, friendly, and happy to have a quick chat. The food arrived quickly, was attractively presented, and very tasty. The Italian will be on our list for our next visit.

A great restaurant! The service was excellent and the food here is always delicious. This time I had a pastrami sandwich – amazing! My colleagues loved it too. Unfortunately, it tends to get a bit noisy here, so it loses a point for the atmosphere.

Delicious, good service, it may seem expensive, but it's worth it. Its proximity to the airport hotels makes it the perfect choice if you want to have a good meal in the evening before your flight the next day.

Our dishes were way, way, way too salty, and the others weren't salty at all. Unfortunately, it was inedible, but the waiter was very nice.

I was here two years ago and the whole neighborhood got more developed and this place on a Thursday eve was pretty packed. I went for a quick bite, very nice crispy pizza and a healthy lemonade, service was friendly and food arrived fast. Great place! Lots of dishes and drinks on the menu. You won't be disappointed 💪🏼🍕🥂

Friendly restaurant that serves good (but not exceptional) Italian dishes. I went there around 17:50 alone and the place and there were plenty of tables. I would recommend here since there aren't many good restaurants nearby. The young staff were all friendly and I visited around 5:50 PM and there were many empty seats so I didn't have to wait. There aren't many good restaurants nearby so I'm willing to recommend it, but it's not an 'exceptionally' delicious restaurant.

Levo and Ravos made the experience exeptional along with the amaxing food! Ive been in around in Europe tue past few months and having these two guys welcome me the way they did made me feel at home! In my in Europa, this has been the best service i have received.. I would highly recommend the italian Frankfurt as a memory captured in the time i was here!

Delicious food with good value for money.

We had to wait an hour for our food. The kitchen had printed the receipt but hadn't processed it. Unfortunately, our server didn't notice, even though the food was being served to our left and right, even though the guests had arrived after us. Spoons for the noodles were only brought after we asked for them. We didn't ask if we wanted anything else, nor did we ask if we enjoyed our meal. Instead, the server chatted to the next table for minutes. The restaurant manager acknowledged our complaint without a word!

Located at the Frankfurt airport hotel area, can tell how popular this place by the area of its. Ordered their chicken with fried vegetables, the mushroom sauce is rich but smooth, only if chicken can be a little bit more tender.

We were here for the first time on May 22, 2025, to meet up with our cousin, who was flying to Canada. We do this often. But this time, everything worked out perfectly. We got a table spontaneously, great food, and fantastic service! Mr. Yavuz Kaan Kurt treated us to excellent food and drinks. He constantly asked if everything was okay. He was super nice and enjoyed his work. Thank you. So, I can recommend it!

Went there with a group and ate mostly pizza. It was very tasty, large, and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful, although we were still trying to find someone to take a charge for a pizza and drinks. The interior was still pleasant, and the outside area was equally appealing.

The price is a bit high, but there are no better options near the airport. The food tastes ok. The staff are friendly and can communicate in English.

I ordered bruschetta with three spreads. The spreads were tasty, but the five small bruschettas were gone after two minutes. Far too few for the spread. I ordered more bruschettas because I can't eat tuna paste without it, but in the end I was happy with cold slices of white bread. Five slices arrived, about 4x10 cm. They really charged me! Over two euros for these five little ones, which they should have already included with the spread! I already suspected it! Exactly! Great business model! No, no! I'd rather go back where I get enough bread for the price that I can also use up the spread. I would therefore order enough bread BEFORE ordering. Remember: small gifts keep friendships alive. Too small ones destroy them.

We've been to this fantastic restaurant several times. It's located in Frankfurt Gateway Garden, and we always use it before our trips from Frankfurt Airport. Staying overnight at a hotel near the airport and then having dinner at "the Italian" = perfect. Everything is just right here, and the outstanding service is particularly noteworthy. The staff are so friendly, so well-groomed, and modern. We felt very comfortable. The food is amazing, the pizza so delicious and made with good ingredients. The drinks are excellent, and the ambiance is unbeatable. Thank you very much.

Very bad store. Wanted to go out for something to eat alone. Although at least 4 of the large tables were free and not reserved, the waiter couldn't give me a table because 6 people could come and they wouldn't have space. I told him that he would be happy to include people, but he immediately refused.

The restaurant is nice food is okay as someone from Mediterranean its ok since there is no other option around. Now the shock, they Bill the TAP water and it's crazy expensive if u imagine that it costs less than 10 cent literally over 4 to 500% on top, softdrinks are expensive too more than alcoholic actually xD food prices are OK. Italian restaurant at Gateway Garden. Directly opposite the Park Inn Hotel. Great service, very friendly staff. Orders were taken quickly and drinks and food were served very quickly. Very large selection. My Bruschetta Mixta was OK, the Pizza Tonno was good.

We ordered vegetarian food and all of it was great. Some of the items we ordered were Pizza sticks, pizza Pecurino, Pesto Gnocchi, Viennese Coffee and Tiramisu. The staff were polite and the hospitality was amazing. We visited the place while on a vacation but would definitely want to visit them again.

One star because the staff there is very arrogant from the moment you enter until you pay. The restaurant was almost empty at 12 o'clock, but it gives you the feeling that you came extra and can't wait to leave. My wife and I ordered pizza and because we spent 5-10 minutes on the phone to buy bus tickets online, the waiter who served us came and took our plates from in front of us and after putting his fingers in the plate he asks us if we want to finish or maybe collect. Our lunch was over and more than half of the pizza was thrown away :( I was left with a lump in my throat. I have not returned to this restaurant and I do not recommend to those who had the patience to read to the end.

Nice place for a drink and pizza. The cocktails are really good. The Negrino, Aperol Spritz, and gin cocktail are all good. The pizzas were good, but the pasta dishes (spaghetti carbonara and tortellini with cream sauce) were anything but seasoned! That's why it gets 3 stars.

I can't say anything about the food, unfortunately we didn't get to eat. The restaurant was almost empty and we were still not allowed to sit where it would have been best for me because of my back problems, even though we explained this. So we left again. Since most of the tables were free and not reserved, we found this behavior to be very unprofessional and would therefore not go here again.

Ambience is okay but food has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. Everything was very hectic, food came very quickly even though the restaurant was full. One can only conclude that the food is not freshly prepared. Pizza is ok but nothing special. We also had the Wiener Schnitzel, the schnitzel was fried in the deep fryer and tasted sweet and was full of oil. Schnitzel tasted like it came from a deep fryer at the fair, apparently you don't use different oil for different dishes...

At least ours were stained and greasy. Food is “so-so”. The Toscana salad was delicious, the children's pizza was OK, unfortunately Pasta Ali-Olio was only spicy - nothing else. Unfortunately our order was forgotten and the service is not very attentive (small table, empty plates left for a long time). Conclusion - you can go, but you don't have to. Too bad. At just under 60 euros, too expensive for the taste offered.

First of all, a great Italian restaurant. We arrived today and it was very busy but were immediately welcomed at the front. We got a table straight away without a reservation. Then we ordered 3 dishes and 3 drinks. We were served our food and drinks very quickly. Simply well organized and really friendly waiters, despite the full shop. The meal was excellent. Can highly recommend the American Pizza 🍕 and the Organic Homemade Lemonade.

I wanted to share a pizza with a child and therefore asked for chopped tomatoes on the pizza instead of the halved cherry tomatoes that were too large for the child. Bruschetta tomatoes to be exact. These are also offered on the menu as a topping for the bruschetta. The waiter argued with us for minutes and then refused the order. He couldn't fulfill our wish, neither for an extra charge nor if we simply ordered a bruschetta and then put the tomatoes on the pizza. We then left. The restaurant manager couldn't answer why we weren't allowed to order and shouted afterwards that we should please stay. Absolutely unbelievable what goes on in this restaurant.

Modern ambience. Nice and fast staff. Good selection. The food tasted very good. One star deducted for the exorbitant prices. €9 for three bruschettas or €8.90 for a tomato soup simply cannot be justified.
