We are a captive audience - not a lot of restaurants near our hotel at Frankfurt airport. We chose the Italian because it was busy with a lively vibe. We were pleasantly surprised with the service and food after reading reviews. This place is a solid 4. Service could not have been better w all the teamwork. We enjoyed our fresh lettuce salads and balsalmic dressing. Pizzas were crisp- chewy crust with fresh ingredients. I had a custom vegetarian (onion, mushroom, arugula) and husband had vegan. Italian wine was decent. I’d recommend if you’re staying at Gateway Gardens.

Great! we were here with 29 people. The drinks all came at the same time and so did the food! Overall it tastes great. It's just a little louder here, but that's the only thing I have to complain about.

One of my friends invited to here but my food was so salty can't eat but I ate because they invited to me for food . Horrible food . If little less salt no problem because salt sugar can add that's why every restaurant keep salt and paper

This is my second time here. The service is always friendly and helpful with suggesting their favorites. The first time I got the spaghetti and this time I got the Alfredo pasta which I loved much more. I also for a glass of Sauvignon blanc who was very yummy. Good for the area around the airport.

It’s an Italian restaurant with a nice buzz. We visited during dinnerhad the bruschetta, tagliatelle with salmon and the risotto and were quite satisfied.The service was friendly and efficient.

The noodles with vegetables were completely overcooked, far too soft, and there were few vegetables. Food came so quickly that it could hardly have been freshly prepared. Bread costs extra - unthinkable in a real Italian restaurant. Service was quick, but not really friendly.

The rescue in the hotel and office district at the airport. Big restaurant. Friendly service. Carbonara great. I had a rosotto with prawns. FIRST OF ALL, the Gambad were amazing! Greatly seasoned and prepared. The lime risotto itself was a little bland. But the overall impression saves the level again. A note to the kitchen was received positively. An extra point for the restaurant. Not a given, many people like to argue with the guests. The response here was professional. Super. I'll come back and report.

I was here on 9/26/24. Despite being full on Thursday evening, I got a table for two all to myself. I ordered a margarita pizza and a bottle of water. For under 15 euros in total these are great prices! The service was brisk and mutually supportive. A good working atmosphere is something you rarely find in the catering industry. I'd love to come back!

Das Restaurant liegt in Fußweite zu den Flughafenhotels und ist deshalb gut besucht. Der Service im Restaurant ist gut und damit wäre die Geschichte auch schon erzählt. Die Latte beim Geschmackslimbo der Speisen liegt ziemlich tief. Ich hatte eine Lasagne, die aus Tomatensauce und Käse bestand. Nudelplatten und Hackfleisch Fehlanzeige. Wer kann, macht einen Bogen um dieses Restaurant, die Sandwiches aus dem Automaten in den Hotels oder am Flughafen sind definitv besser.

We were hungry the evening before our flight. Our accommodation was only 5 minutes away and so we chose the Italian. We can only say thank you for this lovely, cozy evening. Ambiance is modern and very, very comfortable. This has been furnished with love and understanding. The view into the kitchen is a really great thing. Our service was very friendly, helpful, attentive and quick. The food and drinks were freshly made and very tasty for our taste. Waiting time for drinks and food was pleasant. The prices are still ok so far. There's nothing to complain about here. Keep it up!

Visually great, service good, unfortunately I lacked a bit of taste in the lasagna, which was quite simple and not too large in quantity. The soft ice cream as a bedside table was tasty, but not a “revelation”.

Everything tasted, smelled and looked good until a big slimy live worm appeared in the burger. On complaining about the worm, they took it away and tried to make us leave the restaurant as fast as possible to hide the incident. They did apologize and did not charge for the food, but the worm was very large, hard for a kitchen to miss…

If staying at any one many hotels located on Amelia-Mary-Earhart-Straße, and looking for food, I highly recommend here. Lovely and quick service. Special thank you to An/Anna for the friendly service as well as helping me decide on the Penne Aglio E Olio with prawns. Couldn't be happier which the choice. Thank you to all involved, definitely will be back. 🍻

This restaurant has an Italian menu. My experience is the spaghetti carbonara tasted bland like noodles and water. The risotto that my wife had was bland without seasoning. Just rice with sauce. We only could take a couple of bites. The waitress was notified about the issue with the food. And still charged us full price. Stay away from the Risotto and Carbonara. Other than that the salad was great.

Family oriented business with limited English speakers. Upon arrival a gentleman seated us with just drinks menu and it was 1240 in afternoon. The unfortunate part is the better restaurants close early and refer customers to this restaurant.

Large restaurant (very loud) with lots of seats, friendly (but unfortunately very hectic) service, food came quickly but the price/performance wasn't that good. There was little salad and some of it was different than what was ordered.

Super delicious food and great service! 👍 The only thing that was a bit tiring in the long run was the noise in the restaurant at the station hall level.

We were only in Frankfurt for one night and arrived quite late in the evening. The restaurant was spontaneously recommended to us. We were welcomed very nicely. Great service staff with a smile on their faces. The food came super quickly. We once had the Risotto Funghi and the Pastrami Sandwich New York Style. Both were really delicious and highly recommended. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back. And we would also be happy to recommend it to others. P.S. Unfortunately no photos because I was too hungry and everything looked so tasty.

Unfortunately not recommended. After three quarters of an hour I asked where the food was. A young lady then said we had already received it. I've never experienced anything so outrageous. There was no apology either. I think they didn't feel like doing any work after 10 p.m. In Dubai you are treated better at the fast food snack bar.

Chefs should go to Italy to taste what pasta or the popular Aperol should taste like. Staff working for punishment. Additionally, on the website they indicate that delivery is possible, but in fact you can't even pick it up yourself.

I was with 3 work colleagues on Friday evening to have a beer after work. According to Google, the restaurant should close at 12:00 a.m. and we were there at 11:00 p.m. Although 2.3 tables were still occupied, the waitress advised us not to come in because they wanted to close earlier. Despite the pressure, we sat at the table and ordered a beer: a work colleague wanted to drink tea but the coffee machine had already been cleaned at 11.20! The other colleague had to drink his beer quickly because another employee came to collect and again "we're closing soon (11.45pm). Very bad customer service. Next time please just write 11.30 p.m. we want to close.

Below average. I ordered the fried veal schnitzel with rosemary potatoes, which was probably the most expensive on the menu, but unfortunately the quality was sobering. The schnitzel was extremely dry and hard, the rosemary potatoes were cold potatoes that had been pre-cooked in unsalted water and then fried in the pan for less than a minute.....literally tasted like potatoes from the day before that had been taken out of the fridge and warmed up in a hurry. I mentioned all of this to customer service. I was replied that "the schnitzel *must* be dry, that's how it should be." End of quote. The rest wasn't even discussed. If you would like to go out for dinner in the evening and the schnitzel is not the place to be near here, but the ambience here would be very pleasant for a drink. (Otherwise,... as a tip: There is a very nice rooftop restaurant nearby)

The pasta was really a culinary delight. It was very pleasant to sit outside but you couldn't beat my company last night. Simply a 10/10!

We ate at this restaurant the evening before our flight. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. However, the atmosphere is cruel. It's like mass processing. Noise and hustle and bustle everywhere. So preparing for your vacation is something different.

I ordered straccetti di vitello al forno..veal strips on penne with champion ram sauce..20.90 no kalp to be found...I complained and a new one was brought after about 10 minutes..this had 5 super small pieces of meat. ..not good ripoff PS my server was very nice

We were in Frankfurt the evening before our flight so we didn't have to go to the airport at 4 a.m. While looking for a nice restaurant in the immediate vicinity of our hotel, we stumbled across "the Italian" on Google... beautiful location and good ambience. The menu is varied and the food tastes really good. However, the waiters were significantly understaffed and therefore logically stressed, which was noticeable in their friendliness and attentiveness. We, as well as other guests, had to repeatedly make ourselves known to receive another drink or to place their order. From the moment we told the waitress that we would like to pay to the moment we actually paid, it took more than 30 minutes and we had to let another waiter know that we would like to pay before our waitress finally came to cash. All in all, a really successful evening with good food. We will definitely come back if we stay in the same hotel again

Extremely tasty. Here is the tastiest tiramisu in the world, very fast service - the food was brought in 10 minutes, such speed is rarely expected anywhere. There are Ukrainian-speaking waiters. A very pleasant and atmospheric place, we always go there when we are in town

Visit on 7/23/24 morning. Quality of food and service depends heavily on the staff present. We have had breakfast here several times and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, on our last visit it was absolutely disastrous. I had the “BELLISSIMA” breakfast and asked for the vegetarian option. I received a carelessly arranged plate with 12 (!) slices of Gouda cheese for 1 roll. Instead of replacing the meat components with alternative cheese or jam/honey/Nutella or whatever, a useless amount of cheese was simply thrown on without asking. There were also several alternatives of rolls on the menu, but we weren't asked exactly which one we wanted. At €13.50 for breakfast I find that very cheeky. You might expect something like that from a bakery, but not from a restaurant. We also had to ask several times because things that were part of breakfast were simply forgotten. The gentleman who served us was very unmotivated and, to top it off, was annoyed because we had to speak to him several times because he (!) kept forgetting something. We always enjoyed going there, but the last visit was very daunting. You get the impression that it depends on the staff whether you get good food or not.

There were 7 of us who ate. 5 meals were great, one was just OK and one was not good at all.. the noodles were far too soft and instead of pine nuts we were given sunflower seeds. The complaint was not responded to at all.. and we had to pay the full price Although we were promised that we would make up for the failed meal

Nice uncomplicated Italian food service was speedy and efficient all staff friendly and happy to help. The restaurant is large and his seating outside as well. Food turned up quickly and was lovely would definitely go again.

a good and upscale Italian restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Overall, the food was very good, well seasoned, the salads were fresh, the meat was on point and the dessert was delicious. We had the Italian Burger, Risotto Gamberetti, Gnocchi with Pesto, Saltimbocca alla Romana and, to finish, Tiramisu. Value for money and service absolutely recommended!

Modern looking restaurant, with very friendly staff and reasonable prices, offering a great selection of Italian dishes, burgers, salads pasta and pizza. Their drinks menu is a must check with a variety of cocktails, beer and wines. They also have an outdoor sitting aerea during summer and pets are welcome.

Unfortunately, I advise against it. Tasteless pasta with salmon. The burger is weak. The only plus is good table wine. Only for great hunger.

Average is the best possible description of this restaurant. I ordered an aperitif and a glass of wine with the main and they brought everything together. The main (pasta with burrata and Cherry tomatoes) was bland, no seasoning. At the end, when paying you're asked how much you want to tip a very dissapointing service, we are not in America where we have to tip bad service but you're kinda obliged to... Only good thing is the interior of the restaurant, which is quite cosy.

I recently visited this restaurant and have mixed feelings about the experience. The ambience is great, and the design of the place is okay. However, the service was not up to par, though I understand it was busy at the time. The major disappointment was the food. We ordered an avocado salad, but it was awful. There was no avocado as expected; instead, it looked like guacamole and was drenched in dressing, making it soggy. It was so bad that we refused to pay for it. We also ordered a pizza, which was mostly bread. While it tasted fine, it didn't taste that good either. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you have other dining options available. The food quality needs significant improvement to match the otherwise pleasant setting.

Es ging schnell - aber jeglicher Pfiff hat gefehlt. Schon der Schonken zur Vorspeise erinnerte uns eher an Schwarzwälder als an Parma. Risotto mit normalem Reis. Portionsgrössen absolut ok. Aber sonst wirklich mäßig.

BE REALLY CAREFUL about your personal belongings if you choose this place!!! I left a shopping bag on my seat and returned after 15 mins max. Guess what? The waitress who took our bill (an old lady) and the person who cleaned our table said they didn’t see the bag at all!!! I’m lucky coz that’s an empty (but rather good looking) bag, but what if I had personal items inside? The staff are dishonest, they either throw away things or steal them and deny what they did…depending on how you want to interpret their behavior. Attaching the photo to prove I did visit here. Food is just average, salmon is too salty.

Food and service were ok but be careful paying in cash. I was given a small ticket for the bill with just the final total (no list) and it seemed much too high. It also seemed odd that I didn't get an itemized list of what I ordered. What I got could have been from any table or from earlier in the day. When I insisted on an itemized bill, I finally got the right amount. In my goodness, I thought it was an honest mistake and like an idiot I even gave a tip. After thinking about it, I am sure it was a scam. Restaurants always give an itemized bill and they try this on unwitting tourists . Beware!
