We stumbled upon one of the oldest pizzerias in Frankfurt. The ingredients and craftsmanship are all authentically Italian. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We highly recommend following the staff's recommendation. We ordered the Pizza Carlos and the "thick and stupid" pizza.

I've been waiting for 2 hours for 2 pizzas (via Uber Eats) This is unacceptable!

We've been going to this pizzeria since 2003. Such a rude and childish cashier doesn't fit in with your team. He acts like he's constantly annoyed and speaks to people loudly and with excessive gestures. The other employees are customer-oriented and friendly. Lately, we have to check if he's there before we go in, otherwise the atmosphere in your restaurant is ruined. It's a shame for a traditional pizzeria! The food is okay. The prices have increased disproportionately. Seating is limited and the tables are too big.

We arrived in a small group. The restaurant had been recommended to us from outside. You have to order and pay at the counter before you even get your food. The food was prepared in advance and even had to be picked up by the customer. Less than 10 minutes later, another group came into the restaurant and had their food brought to their table... something's definitely wrong there... the food itself was tasty, but nothing particularly special.

Linguine allo Scoglio - very delicious! Lunch menu €16 including salad and panna cotta - top quality 😋 Tip: They have espresso for €0.50 from a professional machine!!! (I love these kinds of test projects 😀)

I went back today after more than ten years, and it's still world-class. The pizza dough was crispy, and the toppings were delicious. I had the Carlos pizza. Plus, there's this super cute seating area. Great atmosphere in the place!

An espresso for 50 cents! Traditional dishes of the highest quality and a sensational lunch menu have made this restaurant a highlight in Frankfurt for 50 years. Besides the classic pizza, the incredibly delicious pasta dishes are a must-try. They even serve authentic carbonara upon request 😊👍

The pizza was simply fantastic: crispy, perfectly cooked base, super-fresh ingredients, and generous toppings. A real treat! You can immediately tell that quality is important here. The pasta was also top-notch: al dente, the sauce perfectly seasoned and creamy – a true Italian delight. The portions were generous and filling. Bottom line: If you're looking for the best pizza and pasta in the area, Laurel & Hardy is the place to go. We'll definitely eat there again!

We've been going to this pizzeria for years! I grew up with the spaghetti bolognese. The food and service are always great. The ambiance isn't exactly cozy, but the food is so delicious that we love coming here, eating, and moving on. Since the move, the seating inside has decreased a bit, but the new restaurant is nice.

Ordered the cordon bleu via Uber. For €25 plus a tip, you can at least expect the fried potatoes to come straight from a bag. Truly terrible stuff. The meat and salad were actually good. Wonderfully tender meat and a great filling. The salad came with a delicious vinaigrette. Seriously, why such crappy frozen fried potatoes?

The "service" is unfortunately abysmal. Anyone who doesn't know it's self-service is simply left sitting without even receiving any information from the staff. Especially the guy taking the orders seems to have absolutely no interest in his job, judging by his looks; I've rarely seen someone so unfriendly in the restaurant industry! He definitely never learned how to treat customers. When I asked if they could turn off the air conditioning because it was getting very drafty, I was yelled at that it was already off and I should just close the window (I didn't even know it was open). Nevertheless, I ended up tipping out of politeness. No thanks, no look in my face, just disgusting behavior. The only good thing about the place was the pizza, but I can easily do without it after my experience.

I really enjoy eating at this pizzeria and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, my last order was noticeably smaller than usual. The menu said it should have been about 28cm in diameter, but it turned out to be less than 25cm—more than 20% smaller. It's a real shame this happens, especially since I've seen other reviews mentioning it's not the first time. I really hope this changes in the future, because I really enjoy eating here once the pizza is back to its usual size and quality.

Top atmosphere, super delicious food and super friendly staff – absolute recommendation

Hello, I don't normally feel the need to write "negative" reviews. However, today was so disappointing that I'm making an exception. Today we ordered around €150 worth of pizzas and didn't even get drinks, despite repeated requests and confirmation. Choking down pizzas with 16 colleagues isn't exactly a pleasure. As for the question "would it change anything about the order?" Definitely ordering the last company lunch there. As a company, you can invest your money better elsewhere. I hope the other colleagues can give a "better" review than I could. Well done, thank you. At the venue, I told the delivery person that we were having a company lunch NOW and needed the drinks for it, not next time. Thank you 👍 I kept my word that after a successful "trial order," I would order the company lunch from you. I was honest enough to tell you how important the food AND drinks were to me. You could have earned respect.👌👌

Such great people there, great staff, so welcoming. The food is 10/10. The quality is top-notch. Simply Italian. Espresso on the house from the staff, and it was our first time there and we didn't even mention it!!!!! As I already mentioned... so nice, just like that. Positive people. Positive vibes. However, I'm not the only resident who can no longer stand the way the staff spend every free minute between 11:00 a.m. and midnight talking loudly on the phone or consuming other media. If this isn't stopped, documented incidents will be forwarded to the relevant authorities in the coming days! Furnishing the new premises (Berger Straße 130) — I can't comment on the quality of the food. But as for the decor: "You eat with your eyes!" – and mine is losing my appetite here. The aesthetics are so abysmal that I can't eat a bite in person. Maybe I'll order something to go. Hopefully, there'll be no arguing about the taste of the delicious food ;). We ate big 4formaggio pizza, big enough to share with 3 if you are not that hungry.The food came quickly, quality good, good service and good interior.

Pizzas are really well made, delicious and authentic. I would say easily in top 5 for Frankfurt. Small size is perfect for 1 person. The salad was also surprisingly well prepared, fresh and very tasty. Perfect side for pizza. Service is also very friendly. Overall, it is clear that the guys are doing everything meticulously and with love.

Eating on the promenade, quick and uncomplicated, that's what I love when I'm out and about in Bornheim. The new location has a refreshing, brighter design. The staff is, as always, super friendly and caters to each guest individually. Of course, only as long as it's reasonable. I'd love to come back and try something new. The Italian coffee also has a truly delicate flavor that you can't get everywhere else.

I am not sure how this restaurant is so highly rated. The pizza is dry and tasteless. There are so many good Pizza places on the Berger which taste so much better. Also their prices are quite high for their low quality ingredients

Since the pizzeria moved to Bornheim, it's unfortunately too far away, and prices have risen significantly. Hence a point deduction. However, the pizza is still one of the best in town.

A delicious pizza. The toppings and dough are thin. The crust is crispy. The ingredients were fresh. The staff were nice and friendly. The tables and chairs aren't ideally positioned. Perhaps that's because there's not much space inside.

Better go to Mancini on Berger! Orders with cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella aren't possible here for organizational reasons, and they're not available in the app. Live order tracking isn't available either. Maybe UberEats is a bit too big for you ;) Toppings can't be arranged over the phone either. What a shame! The prices are reasonable, but the pizzas are very small.

We ate two different pizzas. The ingredients and dough were disappointing and of poor quality. The dough was sloppy. A frozen pizza definitely tastes better. The prices are good, but the taste leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, there won't be a second visit.

Top We loved going up to Altbornheim when we were in Frankfurt. The food was excellent, and the staff were all friendly. The kitchen was open for the curious. You can sit inside or outside.

-I, pizza good. No complaint. -My wife, menu bad because: Salad 3 slices of tomato with 4 slices of mozzarella. Good. 2kl schnitzel with meat thickness of 2-3mm, dry in the meat, like a board, probably from the deep fryer, firm breading. Bad. Lemon sauce, yeah. Few pieces of asparagus, unpeeled!! and very hard! . Bad. No white bread, The junior boss? had listened to the complaint, reaction: shrugging the shoulders, it is what it is, grin. ½ panna cotta + fruit sauce. Good. The price is 20.50€. Too much for that. Conclusion: that wasn't quality, sorry no. Walked out upset. Not again, is our decision. Back in 1972 we were almost weekly customers with friends, excellent pizzas and pasta, the pizza team back then was in a really good mood. If something went wrong, there was a replacement, an espresso as a consolation. .Today, there is a lack of quality almost everywhere.

Wir waren in der Filiale an der Schweizer-Strasse. Die Pizza war lecker wie immer das Personal freundlich. Sogar der Wein war fein. Finde den Laden gut und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auch. Gehe wieder dorthin.

Everything was great, but it was a bit strange that you had to order your own food when you came in and collect your food from the counter, even though there were enough staff on site. This was a bit difficult as many of the tables are tightly packed together and it's difficult to get through. But pizzas are excellent.

The food was delicious and the portions were larger than expected. They even spontaneously reserved the next available table and kept my outside drink cold until we were finished. Totally nice people. Really nice evening! :)

The new location is very nice, but the pizza is a little smaller and sparser. At least it tastes good. So: a glass of mediocre wine from a 2.5 liter bottle with your small pizza, and you've already spent €18.50. I've been going to Dick and Doof for over 40 years. I'll probably look for an alternative.

Die neue Location ist sehr schön, dafür ist die Pizza etwas kleiner und auch spärlicher belegt. Zumindest schmeckt sie. Also: Zur kleinen Pizza ein Glas mittelmäßigen Wein aus der 2,5 l Flasche, schon hat man 18,50 € ausgegeben. Gehe seit über 40 Jahren zu Dick und Doof. Werde mir wohl eine Alternative suchen.

Pizzeria Dick & Doof is an absolute classic on Berger Straße, and I'm so glad they stayed loyal to this wonderful street despite their move! Now at Berger Straße 130 in Bornheim, absolutely nothing has changed in terms of charm and quality. The pizzas are still fantastic – crispy, thin crust and always freshly made. The pasta dishes and salads are also worth a visit. The cozy interior and friendly service make every meal a real pleasure. If you're on Berger Straße and want really good pizza, you should definitely stop by here. Dick & Doof remains an institution at its new location! By the way: The wonderful terrace will also be opening very soon, where you can enjoy the delicious food on this wonderful street in Frankfurt.

Not bad, but not that good either. Today we ate two pizzas. It's strange that there are two pizza sizes: 28cm is too small while 40cm is too big. It is still possible to return from time to time.

Outrageous price increases. Pizza rolls now cost €9. Unfortunately no longer acceptable!

The music is way too loud that you actually leave with a headache. The prices are too overpriced and the interior design is also very tight. The staff is very nice, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

First of all: there is nothing wrong with the taste! The only thing that disappointed us was the size. We took the pizza to-go with us and at home we were a bit surprised at how small the pizza was - and in typical German fashion, we measured it at home just for fun: instead of the approx. 28cm according to the map, the diameter was a maximum of 24cm. I find that a bit of a shame. For the price and the true size, it's pretty steep. I would still come back because I think they taste great ☺️

Overpriced and small portions unfortunately

The pizzas taste good, all the pastas are super tasty, we also recommend the lunch menus. Unfortunately, due to the move to Untere Berger, it is no longer as comfortable and quiet, and there is also no nice outdoor area for eating. Apparently the owner is having customers pay for the renovation. Since then the dishes have become €2 more expensive.

Solid pizza, but according to my taste and also in terms of size/price ratio, it could do with a little more toppings (see picture - pepperoni sausage is available quite sporadically). In the restaurant itself, the seats are arranged somewhat differently. I think this could have been solved better.

I deleted my old review and am writing a new one. You can have a bad day and then you don't get anything done as a chef. I'm a chef myself and am on vacation in Frankfurt and have ordered food from Dick & Doof a few times and I'm absolutely thrilled. No matter whether pizza, pasta or, like today, No.85 with pizza bread. The vegetables had a bite and weren't overcooked, even the baked eggplant still had a bite, everything was nicely seasoned and the pizza bread was wonderfully fresh out of the oven. It couldn't have been done any better. It's a very small pizzeria, so I only rate the food. But I'm also a fan of the films and find your collection of these comedian legends unique. ❤️ Thanks for that 👍!

The pizza is good and everything works when you pick it up - but the delivery service is unacceptable. When ordering it was advised 50-60 minutes, after two inquiries the pizza arrived almost 2 hours after ordering. Sorry, but this needs to be planned or communicated better.

My top recommendations: Riggatoni/Tortellini Kitti al Forno (10/10) Pizza Tonno (10/10) Pizza with salmon and spinach 10/10) Kind regards to the entire team and special greetings to the delivery person who regularly asks how my leg is doing. In general, just love to the entire team and I'm looking forward to the next time

I ordered there today after I had already had a busy day and all I got was a driver from the restaurant himself who made a complete fool of me because I supposedly didn't answer the bell after he himself didn't answer the phone has.
