Wir haben unsere standesamtliche Hochzeit in der Magarethe gefeiert (ca. 30 Leute).Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit Kommunikation im Vorfeld und auch am Tag der Hochzeit war alles sehr gut organisiert und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war hervorragend.

Wenn ihr ein qualitativ hochwertiges und leckeres Mittagessen sucht, dann ist das der perfekte Ort. Sehr gutes Essen, freundlicher Service und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Ich kann dieses Restaurant definitiv weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder!

Sensationelle Ambiente mit grandioser Bewirtung, moderne Ambiente und super Stimmung. Personal war sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam. Man könnte trotz volle Restaurant sich gut mit seine Begleitung unterhalten. Das Essen ein Traum, sehr ausgefallen und lecker. Wunderschön angerichtet und schnell serviert. Ein absolutes muss wenn man nach Frankfurt kommt. Ich werde es auf jeden Fall öffter besuchen. Danke und ich freue mich, dass es noch solche gute Gastronomen in Frankfurt gibt.

Gutes Essen. Ich bin ja eigentlich wegen der Muscheln hingegangen, die gab’s allerdings nicht. Und ich war enttäuscht. Allerdings haben die anderen Gerichte entschädigt. Sowohl die Kartoffelsuppe als auch das Steak und das Dessert waren sehr gut. Interessante Weinkarte und schönes Ambiente. Ein Punkt Abzug wegen der fehlenden Muscheln.

Die Margarete ist ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Küchenteam lässt sich immer wieder besondere Speisen einfallen. Es ist ein echter Geheimtipp in der Frankfurter Innenstadt und auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert!

Wir waren schon zwei Mal dort und es war jedes Mal ganz fantastisch eine sehr nette gut abgestimmte Crew und ganz vorzügliches Essen.

Im Margarete wird mit ganz viel Liebe gekocht und bewirtet. Bodenständig und kreativ - eines unserer Lieblingslokale.

Wir hatten das 10-Gänge-Menü, es war perfekt.

Nett, unkompliziert, angenehm, sehr leckeres Essen und aufmerksames Personal, geschult und serviceorientiert, mit Freude an der Arbeit.

Das Event war große Klasse und hat sowohl kulinarisch, wie auch durch die Unterhaltung sehr überzeugt.

Ausgefallenes Menü mit Noten aus der Küche verschiedener Nationen. War geschmacklich sehr gut. Einen kleinen Abzug gibt es beim Service, manchmal kamen die Getränke erst auf erneute Anfrage. Alles in Allem war ich dennoch sehr zufrieden und komme sehr gerne wieder!

Ich habe selten so schlecht gegessen wie hier. Die Preise sind deutlich überteuert, für das, was man bekommt. Die Bedienung ist teilweise genervt, wenn man etwas anmerkt, was für diese Preisklasse gar nicht geht. Der Ceasars Salat ist ein aufgeschnittenes Salatherze, mit Sauce drüber geschüttet und ein paar Scheibchen Parmesan. Der Spitzkohl war komplett verbrannt, also schwarz. Brot bekommt man am Anfang nur gegen Aufpreis. Man sitzt auch nicht sonderlich schön, auf Holzstühlen, es ist sehr laut, obwohl das Lokal nicht voll war. Wir werden dort auf keinen Fall mehr essen gehen und können nur sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in keinerlei Relation steht!

Einfach alles daran ist großartig. Hervorragende Weine, fantastisches Essen – man merkt, dass der Küchenchef sich bei der Auswahl der richtigen Aromen wirklich Mühe gegeben hat. Super gemacht, Jungs, weiter so!

Der Service war ein Traum, das Essen war auch gut. Sehr gute grüne Sauce! Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Der Besuch im Margarete in Frankfurt am Main war ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Die Küche überzeugt mit einer kreativen, modernen Interpretation regionaler und saisonaler Gerichte auf hohem geschmacklichen Niveau. Der Service präsentiert sich aufmerksam, professionell und angenehm unaufdringlich, inklusive kompetenter Weinberatung. Das stilvolle, moderne Ambiente mit entspannter Atmosphäre – besonders schön im Innenhof – rundet das Erlebnis ab. Trotz gehobener Preise ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis angesichts der Qualität absolut stimmig.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin an Valentinstag da. Ambiente fand ich sehr gut, coole Tische schön seperat durch Vorhänge und gutes Licht. Unsere Bedienung Lukas war sehr gut. Tolle Lautstärke, Stimmlage und guter Verkäufer. Haben den Abend sehr genossen mit ihm. Essen war auch 10/10, Schnitzel on point, Vorspeisen und Beilagen perfekt. Freuen uns auf Besuch Nr. 2, wieder bei Lukas. Besuch lohnt sich also :D

Obgleich ausgebucht, mussten wir nur kurz und beim besten WildBerry-Negroni der Stadt auf den Tisch warten.

Absolut überteuert für viel zu kleine Portionen. Geschmacklich gut, bis auf den Nachtisch.

... Anspruch und Wirklichkeit haben hier leider keinen Match. Es gibt wirklich gute Restaurants in Frankfurt, die gemütlich und mit äußerst freundlichem Personal ausgestattet sind. Margarete will in erster Linie Hipp sein (vermute ich), ist aber an vielen Tischen zu laut und das Personal dem Anspruch nicht gewachsen. Zugewandt freundlich zu sein bedeutet nicht, einfach nur nicht unfreundlich zu sein. Ich möchte als Gast spüren, dass man sich freut, mich zu sehen. Das misslingt dem bemühten Personal nicht nur (sowohl beim Empfang als auch am Tisch), es geht doch auch sehr viel schief...vom längeren Warten auf die Karten, über die späte Bestellung (10+6 Minuten) bis zur Weinempfehlung, die der Kellner nicht leisten konnte (Frage nach einer Empfehlung..."nein, das kann ich nicht, ich bringe ihnen die Karte" . Wohlgemerkt, es ging um ein paar wenige offene Weine) Es wunderte zudem, dass standardmäßig ein Messer für ein Brot mit Frischkäse (oder was auch immer) bereit lag...es aber nichts gereicht wurde, mithin nutzlos herum lag. Es wurde auch nicht abgeräumt. Das Essen (Wiener Schnitzel) kam prompt, war immerhin in Butter gebacken und wirklich lecker. Auch der Kartoffelsalat. Die Menge wäre für einen Teenager enttäuschend gewesen. Für das Glas Wein wurde die Flasche sogar am Tisch geöffnet (Absicht oder aus Versehen?)... ein absolut runder, leckerer Wein. 0,2 für über 20€. Kann man machen...dann muss aber eben alles stimmen. Tut es leider nicht... überhaupt nicht. Auf weitere Gänge gerne verzichtet...der Preis war tatsächlich p. P. nur für eine Hauptspeise, Wasser und EIN Glas Wein...

Einrichtung und Ambiente sind sehr ansprechend. Leider konnten weder Küche noch Service überzeugen. Wir bestellten ein Entrecote; sowohl die Fleischqualität als auch die Zubereitung waren enttäuschend. Die Pommes waren geschmacklos. Der Service ließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig: Es wurde kein einziges Mal nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Die Pommes kamen erst auf Nachfrage und deutlich nach dem Hauptgericht. Auf den Hinweis reagierte die Bedienung unverständlich mit der Bemerkung: „Sie wollten es doch nicht als Vorspeise?“ Obwohl nur wenige Tische besetzt waren, entsprach der Service keinesfalls dem insgesamt sehr hohen Preisniveau.

Modernes, urbanes Restaurant im entspannten Bistro-Stil mit einer überschaubaren Speisekarte. Dafür findet man hier einige kreative und ungewöhnlichere Kombinationen, die angenehm aus dem Gewohnten herausfallen und zeigen, dass man sich Gedanken gemacht hat. Geschmacklich war alles sehr solide und handwerklich gut umgesetzt. Das Preisniveau ist allerdings schon eher im gehobenen Bereich. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich und das Ambiente insgesamt stimmig.

wir waren Anfang Dezember 2025 anlässlich einer standesamtlichen Trauung zum ersten Mal in diesem Lokal. Das Essen war fad (ein gedünsteter Schmorbraten ohne Geschmack). Der Service ließ auch zu wünschen übrig. Dem Wunsch der Braut für einen Gast a la carte zu bestellen wurde nicht nachgekommen., obwohl normaler Restaurantbetrieb herrschte. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend. Ein großer Teil der Gäste, ich zähle mich dazu, wird dieses Restaurant nicht mehr aufsuchen.

Besuch Silvester 2025: Zu Silvester waren wir nach längerer Zeit mal wieder vor Ort. Wir hatten das Silvester Menu mit 4 Personen gebucht. Es wurde pünktlich um 19h begonnen und der Nachtisch ebenfalls wie angekündigt um 23h serviert, so dass man noch genug Zeit hatte bis Mitternacht sein Plätzchen für den Jahreswechsel aufzusuchen. Das war schon mal vorbildlich organisiert. Es gab einen Laurent Perrier Champagner zum Start und das 5 Gang Menu aus Dreierlei Tatar, Röstenten Dashi, Gebeiztem Zitruslachs, Geräuchertem Elchschinken mit Rote Beete Carpachio, Surf&Turf zum Hauptgang und einem leider etwas enttäuschenden Nachtisch, war insg. sehr ordentlich, gut abgeschmeckt und schön angerichtet und tatsächlich auch üppig. Der freundliche Service war trotz vollem Haus nie überfordert und immer schnell zur Hand. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend in dem schönen Ambiente. ------ Besuch 2020: Auf einen Drink eingekehrt. Freundliche Bedienung hat gleich einen einzelnen Gast umgesetzt, damit wir einen 4er Tisch nehmen konnten.

Kurz zusammengefasst: FANTASTISCH! Eine kulinarische Reise.

Das Margarete in Frankfurt präsentiert sich als modern gestaltetes Restaurant mit klarer, urbaner Linie und einem insgesamt angenehmen Ambiente. Die von uns gewählten Speisen waren qualitativ gut und solide zubereitet, allerdings empfand ich das Preis‑Leistungs‑Verhältnis als deutlich ambitioniert. Bei einem Wiener Schnitzel für 36 Euro erwarte ich ein perfekt souffliertes Kalbsschnitzel – dieser Anspruch wurde hier nicht vollständig erfüllt. Der zunächst servierte Espresso wies einen deutlichen Parfümgeschmack auf. Die zuständige Servicekraft reagierte jedoch sehr freundlich, bestätigte den Eindruck und servierte umgehend einen neuen Espresso, was positiv hervorzuheben ist. Insgesamt war der Besuch eine durchschnittliche Erfahrung: ein ansprechendes Umfeld, freundlicher Service, ordentliche Küche – jedoch preislich auf einem Niveau, das höhere Perfektion erwarten lässt.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich und professionell bedient

Endlich wieder der Brunch! Sehr leckeres Essen, die kleine Etagère auf dem Tisch ist eine schöne Idee. Für jeder ist etwas dabei, da die Auswahl der Speisen sehr groß ist. Waffeln sind lecker und die passende Größe, wenn man sie probieren möchte. Sowohl der Quark und die Waffel sind nicht so süss, was wir als sehr angenehm empfanden. Die Speisen sehr alle sehr frisch, gut gewürzt und lecker. Der Service ist perfekt, wie immer.

Ein wirklich schönes Lokal. Sehr beliebt. Das Essen war lecker und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Wir waren eine große Gruppe und uns allen haben die Gerichte sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Restaurant bietet viele Sitzplätze. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Leider wird mehr aufs Ambiente Wert gelegt als auf die Qualität der Speisen: Teller lieblos angerichtet , Beilagen teilweise eiskalt , Gänsebraten trocken Service freundlich und okay Für das gebotene zu teuer !

Bei einem Event im Oktober vom Leuchtenhersteller Serien, deren Leuchten hier verbaut sind, durften wir ein tolles Menü genießen in einem schönem Ambiente.

Essensauswahl sehr beschränkt, Vorspeisenportion teuer und klein. Salat bestand aus lieblos halbiertem und in Sauce getränkten Salatkopf mit ein paar Käsehobeln.

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal! Essen sehr lecker und "on point". Getränke ebenfalls, nun gut, etwas mehr Wein im Glas für das Geld wäre auch gut (Einzelfall) Saubere Hygieneräume. Gerne wieder und sehr empfehlenswert!direkt gegenüber der neuen Altstadt :)))

I'd agree with the average reviews. I ordered the entrecôte with an additional side dish. In my opinion, the food lacked flavor, including salt or a basic seasoning of the meat. The same goes for the pak choi, which was intended as a side dish. Service was good, as was the ambiance.

Amazing! High expectations, and far exceeded. Cooking here is art and love. Just like the ambiance. The service was unobtrusive yet always present. It was a wonderful evening that couldn't have been more perfect. We felt at home, even though this was unfortunately our first experience. One thing is certain: we'll have to repeat it soon. Thanks to the entire team!

We had a really lovely evening! The food has always been excellent.

Saturday evening, only the bistro menu, and the announcement that the restaurant no longer exists? What a shame, the food was very good. When drinks take 25 minutes to arrive, the head waitress simply lectures you with the words: "True craftsmanship takes time." Wow. Truly poor communication, arrogant, and unreflective. The owner should immediately question whether this is acceptable. At least with a bill of €800.

Very expensive – disappointing experience I paid €23 for two non-alcoholic mojitos – it's completely overpriced. I also didn't receive a receipt. I'm very dissatisfied with the service and won't be coming back.

Our friends invited us to dinner and wanted to do something nice for us. We were all disappointed with the service (forgot what we ordered, mixed it up). We spontaneously ate outside - chairs were so hard - there were no cushions). The steak and fries were delicious (although they had been prepared in a nicer way). The eggplant starter was delicious. Unfortunately the chicken burger wasn't good - the meat wasn't of good quality. When you remember earlier times, you are very disappointed and the pictures on the website promise otherwise. It's asparagus season and green sauce time... nothing of it on the menu

The good times are over. The Margarete was our favorite restaurant. But gradually things got worse. The map is diffuse. The service is hard to buy and we were not offered any dessert or coffee. For me, the fries and the burger don't belong on the menu where the main courses cost over €30. Too bad. But that's how it is with gastronomy in Frankfurt.

Nice atmosphere, friendly, prompt, English-speaking service. The "library" is very suitable for a business dinner. Clear map and increased downtown prices. The food was actually served a la carte to 17 people at the same time - great. The portions were good enough to fill you up. The food was delicious and extremely elaborately prepared. Asparagus eaters consistently had to complain; The asparagus was very al dente and tasted very dominantly sour, like lemon - a shame.

Asparagus season: Asparagus too hard, hollandaise more like mayonnaise, too hard and no butter taste, just fat. We had a reservation for the bistro terrace. When we arrived we were told it was a system error. They don't accept reservations outside. We could sit inside and the next free table outside would be for us. We never got a table outside. You could also tell that the staff generally had a very tense mood. The food came really quickly and was very tasty. However, our drinks didn't arrive until after 45 minutes, when we were almost finished eating.

The food was very tasty. The components are very well thought out and coordinated with each other. Unfortunately, my starter (fish) and my main course (gnocci/vegetarian) were a bit bland. My husband had better luck with his dishes, in which case both were a 10 out of 10. The price greatly exceeds the performance. Pricing a vegetarian dish at almost €40 is a bit high (even if they are homemade dumplings). The service was busy with a wedding that day, but unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food (starters arrived after over an hour) and sat in front of our empty plates for a long time. Which was a shame because it was also our anniversary and we felt like second-class guests. Guests around us who came later also had their food before us.

I am a regular customer at the bistro and a big fan of the lunch menu. The quality of the cuisine is TOP, I wasn't disappointed once. The dishes at the Stammtisch always contain an excellent creative touch from Margarete, even if they are originally “classic” dishes. (and there is always a vegan option). The portions are generous and the lunch menu (15 EUR) is great value for money. The service is always very good and friendly.

The Margarete is a good choice for business lunches in Frankfurt. I have been there several times and have always experienced solid quality and professional service. The ambience is stylish, if sometimes a bit busy depending on the time of day. The food is well prepared, with a modern and regionally inspired twist. While there are no big surprises, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation are consistently appealing. The service is friendly and attentive, although occasionally it can take a little longer when the house is full. In terms of price, the restaurant is within the expected range for Frankfurt standards - not cheap, but appropriate given the quality. If you're looking for a reliable restaurant for business events, you can't go wrong here.
