My first and last visit ,the coldest most unfriendly staff I've ever seen

Ein guter Ort, wenn man mitten in Frankfurt ist, und schnell, ohne Reservierungsaufwand, etwas leckeres Essen möchte.

The location is good and the seating is quite comfortable. However, we were on the terrace and the staff there was overwhelmed. Our service was very unfriendly. After we were served the wrong (cheaper) drink and complained about it, we were only told that it was the right drink. That wasn't a bad thing in itself because it was still tasty. However, we ended up having to pay for the other drink, which was significantly more expensive. We then commented that we only pay for what we drank. The waitress then dealt with us in a really inappropriate tone and showed no understanding at all. "If you don't have money, you can stay at home"

Without praise without infamy, quite touristy menu, some typical dishes but mostly oriental cuisine, but also some burgers... it's not clear what orientation I have. We thought it was a completely different place but we were fooled by the smell of meat which evidently came from somewhere else. However clean, fast service, splendid waitress to whom I willingly left the tip that I was asked if I wanted to give. Got two weinerschnitzel with fries, nothing special. Accompanied by an entrée of salad dressed with a burger-type sauce.

There was nothing wrong with the currywurst today. It's a shame to serve eteas like that.

Service zero, but If you have a great company, then you can spend an evening there. Different menu for different customers available. We were told what is not available but the other guests got it afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend this place

A little loud, a little crowded. Everything perfect. Great location, sports bar with a nice atmosphere. Mavije is the best.

Probably the worst service in town. We had 3-4 rounds of drinks and each time we waited at least 30 minutes for someone to come (you aren't allowed to order at the bar), and then usually 20-30 minutes for the drinks (beer) to arrive. An impudence

The blonde waitress Mavije is super nice. She knows exactly which customers want what exactly. 10/10 in taste and service. Such a waitress actually promotes! The prettiest in the whole store

Absolutely NO GO!!! Service lackluster! Toilets underground! The men had six urinals, 3 broken, the rest dirty. Food: Convenience food + arrived cold! The waitress's excuse...it's better not to sit in the basement for warm food. - We had no choice, the three of us were sent straight down. Sports bar, ok...but screens with pixel images, incredibly loud + loud music (RAP) playing at the same time. Prices are way too high for what you get (the three of you paid over 40 EUR with two convenience food dishes and three drinks!) I absolutely cannot recommend this establishment.

Here you cash in when the waiter ends his shift. That's annoying when you get cashed in twice by two people. Not a great solution. We don't go here anymore. The main thing is to tip twice.

In itself a great bar that is usually very loud. The waitresses aren't that friendly but it's okay. Also completely acceptable for eating, you will be full 😂

Waiter the catastrophe, no joy at work! Ruin a customer's mood with their bad mood. I ask for a change in the waiters, you are losing customers!!!!

The customer service is horrible, most of the servers are impolite and incompetent.

Good food, sporty atmosphere and friendly service

It's just a sports bar. For men it's an absolute dream, for women it's less so. The food was more like fast food with a few schnitzel variations. Mostly chicken. But relatively tasty.

The waitress who served us was rude, just because we asked in English if the soup was coconut, she replied to us in an insulting tone that she didn't explain the dishes in English. It's a shame about the very good food With a bitter taste I will never go back to my girlfriend. She made me feel unwelcome in her country. I hope the boss knows what to do.

The food is decent and the prices in comparisson to other places in town reasonable. It was the only place I could find open while arriving late to a nearby hotel on Sunday night at 10:30 pm. Also a plus that there is an outside heated patio. I had no issue with the service both the pasta and a burger we ordered with a friend were absolutely fine!

We wanted to go out for a relaxed meal on a Friday evening in the usual setting, but after this visit it will probably be the last time... Service was underground! My friend had the baked potato and the quark was clearly sour! But instead of taking it back and offering us something else, the quark was supposedly tried by everyone in the kitchen and our plate was then literally shoved under the noses of other guests... Then we were told that we just didn't like it, which wasn't the case. The tone of the service was presumptuous and not service-oriented! You couldn't cancel the meal, for whatever reason. We couldn't be named someone responsible... Ultimately the meal could be canceled and we got up and left straight away. If you feel like spoiled food and unfriendly service, this is the place for you!

I like this alot. A regular getaway place for us. Chicken curry with coconut milk is my favourite.. Drinks asusual... Service I love them. Friendly staff. Not nosy people. Huge outdoor... Indoor seating is limited I guess. Reasonable prices. Location is awesome. Just few feet from Hauptwache s bahn. Veg options also good. Can't expect more in Germany for vegetarians may be.

The waitress was solely responsible for the entire terrace on Saturday evening, so everything took a long time and the friendliness was limited. Unfortunately, the nachos with cheese gratinated tasted so stale and soggy that I had to return them. The location is nice and central and the prices are reasonable for the location.

El servicio es pésimo. Tardan entre 30min-1h para atenderte en mesa Pides una bebida pequeña y te sirven el tamaño grande (seguramente para cobrar más). Te atienden muy mal, etc.

I used to enjoy coming here often, but it has slowed down a lot. Lukewarm tarte flambée, inattentive and inflexible service (a glass of 0.1 instead of 0.2 wine not possible, she wouldn't know the price🙈) despite the empty restaurant, and all that at ridiculous prices! Here you definitely only pay for the location, not the quality or service :-( I'd rather leave my tip somewhere else, at least there wasn't one here.

Fast, very friendly service, brilliant burgers/fries, fair prices and a nice, clean atmosphere. Highly recommended to anyone who visits the stock exchange next door or is nearby!!

Salads taste good. Staff is friendly.

The service wasn't really friendly and wasn't really motivated either. We waited 30 minutes for drinks. The food came fairly quickly, but several meals (citizens) were ice cold. Wasn't a good visit.

Terrible service. They took a long time to take our order, the order was incorrect and the waitress who served us had little courtesy and showed little, if not any, sympathy.

The bistro has a top location and is surprisingly affordable with good food. The menu has a bit of everything, which put us off at first, but the dishes we ordered from different categories were really good. The portions were large, the selection of vegetarian dishes was adequate to good and the drinks menu was to die for! On warm days you can sit outside in front of the stock exchange within sight of the bear and the bull. What's particularly nice is that there are also vegetarian options among the Frankfurt specialties, for example the green sauce with boiled egg and potatoes. Overall, less of a restaurant and more of a bistro, but that's not a disadvantage. The staff is friendly, quick and conscientious, but sometimes you have to draw attention to yourself. An absolute recommendation for tourists. Local specialties, great location, good prices, large portions.

Opening time 8 a.m., it was still closed at 9:30

The staff is so grumpy, they look tired of life, they are never polite, the food wasn't good either, we weren't satisfied at all, the waiters are supposed to be friendly, they never laugh, I never felt comfortable as a customer. Very unfortunate.

Spaghetti with red sauce is unacceptable, in fact you ask for extra cheese and they tell you in style a 1.50 charge! The pizza has the same red pasta sauce lousy and tasteless Cherry tomatoes were added to the pesto (unrelated) Prices like everything there in Frankfurt Service not so kind

I recently had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant. One employee, a blonde girl in short jeans, ignored us the whole time. When she finally served us, she brought us a cold cappuccino. When we asked to replace it, she refused.

I visited bull and bear yesterday with my group of 13 girls and I ordered a dish of cous cous from the evening menu but it was so overcooked that it wasn’t edible. I gave the feedback to the server and she was not even kind enough to offer a replacement. I quickly got the feeling that they don’t seem to value their repeated customers. The quality is going down drastically and I wouldn’t return this place unless they actually correct their ways of dealing with customer service and improve their food quality. How can they expect the customer to pay for the dish, I couldn’t even eat. Totally unreasonable service and food. I also noticed that the server was not detail oriented and bought extra drinks and told us it’s our fault- can’t someone know that 13 people wouldn’t order 15 drinks ? We still were kind to say ok we will pay for 15 drinks but there was no response. People were working like they are forced to work there.

Very rude staff, i was there 10 minutes after the opening (i checked on google and at the location)and they told me they are closed and they will open after one hour. Definitely not worth trying! We went to another place where we ate so well and we tipped the waiter 20€ for being nice( a thing that in this place is definitely not possible). I feel bad for people going here hoping for a nice experience or with children because of how grumpy the waitress was. I think she is not paid enough maybe?

The salad tasted very good and is recommended. The ambience is somewhat interchangeable and compatible with the masses. But thumbs up.

The restaurant offers a solid selection of dishes that are well prepared but don't stand out exceptionally. The service is friendly, but the waiting times could be shorter. The ambience is pleasant but lacks a bit of atmosphere. Overall, a good place for a simple dinner, but not necessarily for special occasions.

The service was absolutely catastrophic, we waited forever and asked a few times and we are waiters ourselves and know what it's like, but it wasn't crowded at all and she then just went to smoke a cigarette even though she told us that she would be there soon. I'll never go there again I would advise everyone against it. We were there on August 22, 2024 at around 2 p.m. The waitress had black hair tied into a braid or pinned up with a clip

We ate there on August 17th. A burger menu and pasta dish. It was the worst burger I had ever eaten 👎🏼 Guests at the neighboring table even got moldy hamburger buns. Service was totally unfriendly!!! Sanitary facilities are also very shabby. Conclusion -I don't recommend eating there.!!!

Don't go here, you're just disturbing people!!! We were here on a Wednesday afternoon to try out another restaurant. Due to its prime location in the heart of Frankfurt and the large outdoor area, it initially made a good impression. However, after we sat down, the problems started. Although there were hardly any guests and there were plenty of staff everywhere inside, not a single person thought to serve us, no matter how many times we waved and asked for service. Somehow they all had better things to do than worry about guests/paying customers. So we waited hungry for 15 minutes and then left without having accomplished anything to satisfy our hunger somewhere else, where guests might not be treated so ignorantly and indifferently, but rather with appreciation. It's a real shame with such an impressive menu that no one will be able to enjoy under these circumstances... I would have expected more from such a well-known address in Frankfurt. Better go somewhere else!!!

A day under 34° and they refuse to serve tap water under the pretext that "we can't make a margin on it". Plus, there was as much bacon on the flammkush as there was a smile on the waitress's face. Enough to have a good day.

Horrible servicio y pago mínimo con tarjeta del que no nos hablaron, así que tuvimos que tomar otra copa cuando no queríamos. Nos alojamos aquí por un fin de semana largo y no recomendamos incluso venir aquí. Un trato horrible. Lento.

It's very nice to sit here, especially in summer outside on Bärsenplatz. But both the service and the food used to be better. This is just convenience standard. It will fill you up, but it's not a great thing.

We were there for lunch with a larger group. The selection actually offers something for every taste (Pinsa, burgers, Asian and also regional things like green sauce). Considering there were 12 of us, the waiting times were okay. In principle, most of the food tasted good. But on the one hand it was somehow very carelessly slapped together, at least the burger, and on the other hand it was way too overloaded with onions. Anyone who thinks something like that is great will enjoy it, I definitely found it too much.

I come here every now and then to eat. The daily meal is always very good and has a good selection. The prices are ok.

We were a group of eight. Were ignored for 20 minutes by two waitresses present and had to push the tables together ourselves so that we all had space. When we asked whether we could finally order drinks, we were directed to our colleague somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We got up after half an hour and went somewhere else. Apparently they don't depend on us.

The drinks were okay, but everything else left much to be desired. The service was slow and inattentive, and the food was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

The highlight of the disappointment was the Tiramisu. It was advertised as being served with "exotic fruits," but to my dismay, it came with apples. This substitution was not only unexpected but completely inappropriate for a dish like Tiramisu. The dessert was supposed to be homemade, but it tasted anything but. The piece was dry, flavorless, and bore no resemblance to a traditional Tiramisu, never again.

When I ate there the food was very very spicy, the food tasted very disgusting and the drinks were weird. I ordered a lychee spritzer but it tasted like strawberries. The lychees were also very bitter, like they came from a can. The service was otherwise okay, but everything else was horrible. I wouldn't recommend

Blah. Waitress had zero vibe was pushy and then short-changed me on the bill. Blah. No need to go here if you have soul.

The two of us ate here. When we asked about the card, we were only answered with “I don’t know”. We then said we needed some more time and just ordered drinks. These were then brought to us and from now on we were ignored, even though there were hardly any guests there other than us. When we spoke to a waitress, we were told to ask someone else. We briefly considered just leaving, but we already had our drinks. The food was okay. The homemade lemonade was delicious. However, I wouldn't order a salad as it was obviously no longer fresh and had some brown, mushy spots. Paying €13 for that really hurts. The only smile we saw from the waitress was when she complained to me about the guests at the next table. We were here to test new restaurants in ffm, mission failed. We'll stick with the old ones.

Nice place! Especially if you don't know exactly what to eat, there is a lot to choose from - from salads, burgers, glazed cakes to Asian dishes.

Most of the waitresses are very rude and the service is really bad.

It was my first time here in the evening to watch football and have dinner. The location is very good. Centrally lit nice area outside. The food was ok and inexpensive. The drinks were a bit expensive. The service was quite overwhelming. Also with billing. The toilet is a disgrace. Only one urinal was functional. And that was super dirty. The sinks were all broken. What is the cleaning lady doing at the door? Unfortunately not recommended.

Never experienced such bad service here!! Wrong drink bar guilty, food not as described kitchen guilty!!! We had to accept no excuse, no solution. Shortly spoken, not listening properly and annoyed to the point of not being able to do it anymore. Especially now that the catering industry has to fight, this is a no-go!!!

Prime location, 2 minutes away from the Hauptwache train station, good food and matches shown on big screens. What else do we need 😎 nice atmosphere.

I can't understand the recent negative reviews. As soon as we were seated, the waitress came and took our order and the drinks and food came really quickly too! The lemonade, beer, salad and pasta are recommended! The waitress was friendly too. Maybe there's something true about the saying about the forest...? We have been coming here whenever we are in Frankfurt for several years and the Bull & Bear has never disappointed us. Nothing has actually changed, the menu and the preparation are still the same. :) You could show FashionTV on TV again, the runway shows were very entertaining! ;-) Thank you for your persistence and hopefully for many more years to come! We're always happy to come back!

Guys, I encourage you to just walk past. We waited 20 minutes until we showed our own initiative and told a waitress that we were vegging out on her chairs. We were then told that she knew what was going on and that we shouldn't be annoying. After a few minutes of waiting and excitement, we just went to Nazar, which is next door, for kebab, which was okay. So if you want to pay for disrespect, waiting and aggression: The perfect place!

Went there for a birthday and had made reservations for 13 people downstairs in the lounge, but when we arrived no one greeted us for 30 minutes. After asking several times, we were only told to wait. Ultimately we had to convert the heavy tables ourselves because nothing was prepared/reserved for us. At least the food arrived quickly. The atmosphere in the lounge was also unsatisfactory because the music downstairs wasn't even playing properly and stopped the whole time. We were there until after 2 a.m. and after a certain time all the TVs in the lounge that were showing music videos the whole time started showing inappropriate sexual content. The waitress and waiter did their best, but the general organization was just disappointing

Quick stop off to try the Handkäse mit musik. It was tasty enough but would've preferred a bit more cheese.

I visited during Euro2024. It's great to watch soccer teams. There were monitors installed throughout the outdoor seating, so it was a nice atmosphere for group viewing while having a meal or a beer. It was a great atmosphere to cheer and shout together and enjoy it comfortably. What about food... .. It's neither bad nor good. The beer was delicious, perhaps because of the good turnover or because of the atmosphere. However, please do not order nachos… … It may be so salty that your tongue no longer functions properly.

So, if you wanted to sit somewhere without ordering - then this is the right place for you, because there is very little chance that the waiter will speak to you. It's best to come with your own drinks. I was there a few times last year, once service didn't come until we asked at the bar a few times, the next time when no one came after 40 minutes - we left and last time we had it after 50 minutes, but, when we wanted second round and asked a few waitresses about it in person, we were told to wait as they didn't have time. Suggestion for owners: or hire more staff or pay better wages so that they are motivated, otherwise there will be no sales.

We wanted to go to the bar and were very impressed by the prices etc. Unfortunately, we never received an answer to our reservation request! Impudence!

If i could leave -10 stars I would. The servers are not competent, impolite, unable to take orders or to make you pay without having to wait 40 minutes. The food was not good and the drinks too. It’s not the first time that this happens and the bar was not even full!

Visited during a Germany game at the Euros and was not very well set up to be able to tend to anyone, but could just be because of how busy it was. Large outdoor space otherwise

We have been here often for the last 6 years. Unfortunately the service has been extremely poor. Inattention and inability go hand in hand. The food itself remains within reason so far. The downfall, however, is the hygiene facilities. Half of F and M are out of function. And as I could read, it's probably been around for a long time. Therefore 1 star deducted and new rating, which is correspondingly worse

The three of us went to the game yesterday Croatia: Italy in the restaurant & sports bar. We sat outside, it was busy. A service person wasn't very accommodating when it came to choosing a seat. Then we were able to sit at a table of our choice. The service person who served us was very friendly, quick, courteous and informed us very well. Despite the busyness, we got our drinks promptly and the food ordering was also quite quick. The food was very good, well prepared and tasty. Burger with avocado, salad with goat cheese and an Asian meal. The Asian food was particularly good. Great sauce with fresh vegetables and coriander. The price-performance ratio is ok. We would like to thank the service person with the long blonde hair. She was very nice and friendly, despite the stressful situations in the restaurant.

I visited the Bull and Bear on a very busy day during a public viewing and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. Although I understand that the rush can be significant on such days, the behavior of the staff was unacceptable. The waitresses were rude and seemed annoyed, which detracted from the entire experience. It took a very long time for our orders to be taken and when the food finally came it was only lukewarm. Any questions were answered briefly and unfriendly. A smile or a kind word would certainly have improved the situation, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The atmosphere in the restaurant itself was pleasant and the taste of the food was okay, but the poor service overshadowed our visit. I hope management takes note of this and makes improvements, especially on such busy days. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend the restaurant at the moment.

waiter unfriendly. not a single smile. ignore customers all the time. drinks overpriced. wanted to watch the football game, the sound doesn't work and the picture is also delayed. You find out everything 20 seconds later (I don't have to mention that the bar next to it has NO sound problems and the picture isn't delayed) so it's really a disaster. This terrible bar didn't send anyone to regulate the tone... so that was really the worst experience. Let me tell you something: don't go there, don't give them any money. I've never experienced anything so bad.

The world's worst cheeseburger... A completely burnt patty with burnt cheese on a way too big, floppy bun. Service is nice

Really disappointing. Rude waitress, didn't smile once or act with any friendliness and food was not nice and overpriced. When we went to pay at the end, we 'accidently' got undercharged 1 euro each, even though we told the correct amount. It ended in an uncomfortable confrontation where we were told off for underpaying. I offered to pay the difference she said it was 10 minimum. In the end I paid it because we were keen to get out and before leaving we had to hear one more snippy 'sometimes it's nice to to tip people' after a very unfriendly service. I believe the undercharge was purposeful to force us into a tip, which is very bad practice and not something we were happy with. It gets as high as 2 stars because the sports in the background were a nice touch. It's a shame about the unfriendly service and poor quality of food dragging the rating down so much.

Solo vinimos a tomar cerveza y a ver el partido de Alemania en la Eurocopa 2024 , los clientes hicieron que fuera un ambiente agradable y el lugar estaba lleno, con los servidores haciendo todo lo posible para satisfacer todas nuestras sedes. El pils es una cerveza agradable pero caro en comparación con el área local. Tienen un montón de televisión por lo que es un buen lugar para los días de partido. No comimos comida, pero parecían porciones generosas cuando salieron. Recibir la factura fue un problema y un proceso lento. En general, estaba bien.

The food tasted normal, the prices and portions were adequate, the environment was normal. In total, it is 3.5.

We sat down and ordered a beer and asked for a menu. They brought us our beers and our waitress said she would be nav with our menu. The restaurant was not busy, yet there were4 waitress some standing around and a few bringing food out. Our waitress returned and went to lean a table… yet no menu! We waited until we finished our beers, which the total time waiting was 50 minutes so we saw her walking around and trued to flag her down, she acknowledged and instead of coming over sent another waitress over. We paid our bill and left after telling the other waitress how things went! Never to return and to let all of our friends to ever bother coming here!

Just bad, price performance is not right at all, loveless food, toilets to run away from, leaves a dirty impression, never again!

You have to wait and beg for a long time until you are allowed to pay. And you'll be rudely insulted. It's not possible with the service. Next time I'll just go

Unmotivated, unfriendly, incompetent waitresses who walk around in a bad mood. They still enjoy doing their job. And the previous table is not cleaned briefly, only plates and glasses are put away.

We were here for a company party and it started with our reservation apparently not being accepted properly, even though we called twice. A few tables were pushed together for us, but we still couldn't all sit at one table together. It was also packed, which is to be expected on a Saturday evening. We had to wait a long time for the food because it wasn't even really good. The burger was very dry and when I looked closely I discovered a caterpillar in the lettuce (which I don't think is a bad thing per se because for me it's a sign of freshness). Unfortunately, it made me sick and I asked if they could take my food off the bill, which I was promised but in the end they didn't do it. The selection of dishes is at least relatively high. But that was all the positive aspects for this store. There is a lot of potential here, but no prospect of improvement.

Even taking the order, which only consisted of 7 drinks, was bumpy. I ordered a non-alcoholic wheat and was served a drink that was obviously not wheat. I pointed this out to the waiter. He asked at the bar and confirmed that it was a non-alcoholic wheat. I took two sips and then walked to the bar myself. It was a crystal wheat with alcohol. The employee is new and doesn't know his way around. It is absolutely unacceptable to serve alcohol to someone who specifically states that they want a non-alcoholic drink. Conclusion: The store has always had poor service quality. The reviews speak for themselves.

Good value for money, attentive and friendly service, delicious food, gladly again

Went there spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised. Our wishes were taken into account and the food came within 15 minutes.

If you want to wait until tomorrow for your food, you've come to the right place.

Food okay but the service an absolute disaster.

Unfortunately the lasagna came to the table cold. The first complaint was professionally “handled” and the lasagne was heated in the microwave (?) in the kitchen. I then cut the lasagna in half and tried it, with the result that it was still cold in the middle. The condition said that this couldn't be the case... apparently I have too good an imagination but I can't recommend the "restaurant" to anyone.

Food was ok (flambée like TK); Service underground!!! Very loud! Difficult to have entertainment.
