I loved the place!!! The food was delicious and Prit gave us great service, very attentive and helpful, and he also speaks several languages!! So the experience was even better 😉😉😉😉 I would definitely go back and always choose this place because of the service.

So, there were nine of us eating there, and I got a table, all good. The service was very unfriendly; they practically threw the menu at us, and the (female) waitress kept giving us annoyed looks. Which I find outrageous, because they clearly don't understand the concept of "customer is king" here. We all ordered drinks and everything. Then we ordered our food. Two of my colleagues and I ordered a medium-rare rump steak with fries. What did we get? A rump steak that was incredibly tough, cold, and overcooked. Absolutely terrible. The kicker is that I paid €33 for a rump steak that neither met my expectations nor tasted good. The music was far too loud; you couldn't have a conversation with your partner. Then there was the constant opening and closing of the door in -1°C weather. Very inconvenient. After 20 minutes, I finally sat down at my table, wearing my jacket. I had ordered a cheesecake that tasted strongly of cream cheese. In Bavaria, a place like that would have been shut down long ago. I'm from Bavaria, and will I come here next time I'm in Frankfurt? My answer: No 👎🏼 I wouldn't recommend it. I'm just curious if they'll respond to all the negative reviews.

Saturday, December 20, 2025: We waited 20 minutes, then we left....

Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing. The staff was very rude and seemed annoyed. As a guest, I didn't feel welcome. This had a very negative impact on my overall impression.

Went during the Chris markets and booked in 15 people! Prit (our server) was very warm and welcoming, he was very accommodating and went above and beyond. He was a great server and we had an amazing time there! Food was lovely and the craic was 90!

We had a large group of 15 here, the food was excellent but I would suggest reducing the size of the salads as there is far too much and it’s wasteful. I had the Frankfurt snitzel and it was really delicious! The cocktails were fab and our waiter Prit was so kind, and helpful, we’d definitely recommend!

We went to the bar today and ordered homemade lemonade, which unfortunately tasted very spoiled. After we sent the drink back, the owner himself treated us very rudely. His gestures were inappropriate, and he demonstratively poured the drink down the sink in front of us. He then shouted something to the waiter in his own language. When we returned to our table to order something else, the waiter informed us that, on the owner's orders, he was not allowed to take any further orders from us. As we were leaving, we also overheard two other guests complaining about the strange taste of the same drinks. Since the recent change of ownership, it seems that the bar places little value on quality and customer service. We've decided: We will not be returning to this establishment.

No greeting, arrogant stares, the menu was practically thrown at us, and after 15 minutes, our order still hadn't been taken! Incredibly disrespectful behavior! We gave it a second chance, but there was no improvement! Absolutely unacceptable!! Never again.

I walked into this street corner by pure chance, stumbling across Frankfurt's Stolpersteine ​​(stumbling stones). I only chose this restaurant because, by eye, there seemed to be enough free tables. The food was okay, even though the waitress who brought it was totally disinterested and visibly annoyed. Honestly, what people and I absolutely don't want is to be "served" by such a grumpy waitress. My review here is way too nice and friendly. If you're fed up with the job, then please: get out. Nobody will miss you. I considered several times just getting up and leaving. There was no hello, no thank you, no please, no goodbye, no bon appétit. I asked the woman in question if she could please bring the dish (a burger plate with fries) that I had seen RIGHT HERE in the restaurant photos, and she replied, "I have no idea what that is. What is it?" -> Are you serious? 😆 Bro, go your own way and please leave the other guests of this restaurant in peace. She didn't even tell me the amount due, didn't give me a receipt, no slip of paper, but she definitely took a hefty tip FOR NOTHING. Not even if I enjoyed the food. So much went wrong and badly. And it's totally shabby. There was a lovely lady who greeted everyone, but the toilets were full of chocolate (you get it) and there was liquid all over the floor? Only one sink worked; the other simply had no water. It's a really weird restaurant, the music was too loud. The atmosphere and the building itself are just awful. The food was okay, you could go there ONCE, but anyone from Frankfurt knows you can eat much better. Please save yourselves the trouble.

The tall blond waiter was unfriendly and disrespectful towards us. We were 10+ people and were told we can’t pay separately. We later asked other workers about this, as she lied to us and told us this was a policy. Other than that everything was amazing and all the other waiters were extremely helpful.

The cocktail was good, but they charged for one that shouldn't have been. When asked if it had been deleted, the answer was yes. Paying €19 for a cocktail (€8) and a Schweppes Wildberry (€3-4) was definitely too much. Therefore, unfortunately, only one star for service.

We were there again after a long time. A lot has changed, unfortunately for the worse. The food is tasteless, but McDonald's is even tastier 😅 The service was okay... A lot has to change, or they'll go back to the old way. We definitely won't be coming back.

We came with a large group, 20+ people for Happy Hour. They got great deals for Happy Hour, but most of the cocktails on the menu are very sweet and not very strong. I would stick to basic mixed drinks. The staff was very skilled and welcoming towards our group and clearly knew to handle large crowds.

Dear Bull & Bear Team, We've enjoyed our visits often in the past – so we're not writing this out of frustration, but in the hope that you'll be more accommodating to guests in the future. On our last visit, we explicitly stated several times that we didn't want our dishes spicy. We pointed to the menu and asked again – the answer was: "No, it's not spicy." What came next? 👉 Two plates with visible pepperoni, a sauce that was noticeably spicy – exactly what we didn't want. And yes – you can clearly see it in the photos: a plump, red pepper was sitting right on the plate. And honestly, just looking at it, it was giving us a spicy look. 😅 I certainly didn't mean any harm – but it just clearly looked like "Caution, it's spicy!" Added to that, unfortunately, was a dismissive attitude when ordering – instead of help or an explanation, they just pointed to the English menu. No interest, no smile, no "we'll take care of it." This is all the more disappointing because we've always felt comfortable and eat with you regularly as regular customers. The dish tasted okay – but the way we treated the guest just wasn't right this time. Perhaps you'll take this as feedback. Especially when you come often, you expect reliability and a bit of appreciation. 2. This is the fourth time I've eaten here in a three-month cycle, and the food has always been perfect. Simply delicious. The food has dropped to 4 stars in terms of taste.

Beware, it's a rip-off! We ate here and were completely ripped off by the waiter. He sold us a "Rose," which, according to the menu, should have cost €6.90 per glass. Instead, he brought us a bottle (which doesn't even exist on the menu!) and charged us €45 for it. On the bill, he simply hid the item as "various drinks." This is absolutely outrageous and borders on fraud. It's unacceptable that guests are cheated like this. Unfortunately, we only realized after paying that we had overpaid €20. We will definitely never return to a restaurant that tolerates such practices. We strongly recommend checking the bill very carefully—or, better yet, going somewhere else.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. On July 6, 2025, at around 1:00 a.m., we ordered a bottle of rosé. According to the menu, a glass (0.2 l) would cost €6.90, and only one variety was listed. In the end, we received an unclear bill with the item "various" for €45. No explanation, no transparency—it doesn't seem reputable. Something like that ruins the whole evening. A real shame.

The food and beer were delicious, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable, so this was fine. However, the service was the worst, as shown below. There were about 4 people serving, and although they seemed to be regular employees, they didn't seem to be particularly problematic. However, a woman who was a bit older and a bit shorter seemed to be in a position similar to a manager or president, and she seemed to be in a position to command and supervise other employees, and her service was very poor. 1. Intentional ignorance. Unlike Korea, it seems that the customer does not call the employee, but rather, if the customer makes eye contact with the employee who is looking around the area, the employee will come to take the order or other requests. However, the employee in question ignored me even though I made eye contact with him twice. By the way, he served the Western customer who spoke English normally across from me, so I wondered if he was being racist, for some reason. 2. Bucket I ordered Römer pils and Schöfferhofer hefeweizen beer in 0.3-liter bottles, and the person in question also said a small one, clearly confirming that it was a small size. However, the beer that was actually served was a large 0.5-liter bottle. Forced tip? I didn't intend to order more because the service was already bad, and when I asked for the bill, it came to 38.5 euros. However, the employee who brought the bill seemed to be a beginner, and when I offered 40 euros, he offered 1.5 euros in change. I actually thought I could give that much, but I felt very bad when I was treated like this. For reference, the food I ordered here was Frankfrut schnitzel and tarte flambée, Bulls&Bear, and two beers mentioned above. And the food was delicious. We were in Frankfurt over the long weekend and decided to have lunch with the family at the Bull and Bear. Great anticipation, even greater disappointment! It started with such aloof and unmotivated service that we didn't feel welcome at all... You probably have to bring your own menus to your table here. It continued with rickety chairs and tables that, even after 20 beer mats have been placed under them, were still uneven and therefore wobbly. You have to be extra quick when taking your order, as the waitress has no time for her guests but is on her phone the whole time and would rather be doing that than looking after them. This is definitely not friendly guest service! The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but the salad wasn't the freshest, while the dressing was very tasty. All of our burgers tasted very good; we had the bacon beef burger and two barbecue cheeseburgers. My wife's carbonara was also very tasty. When we asked for napkins, we were simply ignored. Unfortunately, when paying, you have to wait another 20 minutes before you're noticed, and apparently, the table isn't cleared here either. All in all, a very bad experience. Maybe it gives one star because the food was tasty, but otherwise it's not even worth a star. For a restaurant in downtown Frankfurt, this is truly outrageous. We've never left such a review after our restaurant visits before; unfortunately, we had no other choice here. People need to be warned. Never again!!

This place may have "sports bar" in its name, but during a EuroLeague game involving Eintracht Frankfurt, the sound wasn't turned on despite repeated requests. The cocktail menu dates back to the 90s. The ingredients are subpar. It has "restaurant" in its name, but the burgers and paninis were just convenience food. The bottom line: once and never again – there are much better restaurants in a central location.

Absolutely disappointing – never again! The two of us were looking forward to a relaxed meal, but unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. The Coke in both glasses was completely deflated – stale and tasteless. They really shouldn't serve that kind of thing anymore. We each had a portion of chicken schnitzel with it – and what can I say: Both portions were absolutely tasteless. The meat was dry, tough, and more like cardboard than a proper schnitzel. Not the slightest bit of seasoning, no crispiness, just carelessly prepared. For two people, this was a culinary disappointment. It's a real shame – something like that shouldn't happen.

We were in Frankfurt for a soccer game and had had good experiences with sports bars here in Hamburg. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointment. Given the weather, we sat outside, but changed tables three times until we found one that wasn't shaking much. The service was friendly, but not very active. During dinner, we came across a vegetarian falafel bowl and a Wiener schnitzel and ordered them right away. While the bowl was okay, albeit oddly cut, the Wiener schnitzel was very interesting. It was a frozen product from the deep fryer. Unfortunately, it wasn't used properly, so some of the breading inside was still raw. The taste was typical of frozen food, and the fries were also relatively tasteless. The lemon, on the other hand, was too harsh, partly green in many places where it shouldn't be. Both meals plus two beers cost around €50. In the end, it was good for the beer, but the food was questionable.

one of the worst services i have ever seen in my life. the girl who served us was not at all kind, she was rude and had no desire whatsoever to provide good customer service. we were four people, two dishes were steaks and it was delicious, but only came with the steak without any side dishes, and the other two were hamburgers and those who ate hated them. good place, food ok, but service not good at all.

We were visiting Frankfurt and we couldn't get a table anywhere else, if it weren't for that I probably wouldn't have gone in (at least me out of the 5 of us who went), it looks like a nightclub bar that transforms into a restaurant during the day, but it keeps the neon lights and the big screens with F1, like a university bar. I am Spanish, and I was very surprised by the prices (in the entire city really), a breaded chicken pachuga with potatoes €20..... I understand that it is another country, but I still am not used to it. Even so, I can say that it was delicious, very well cooked and tasty. The service was also great, the waitress was very friendly and patient with us, who didn't speak German, she explained the menu to us and what we didn't understand, she also recommended beer. It's not a bad place to eat something quick, but I don't know if I would repeat it if I return to the city, I would probably go to a restaurant with typical food, since there the variety was wide in terms of dishes, but not traditional German ones.

Location good, service nice, but slow and inattentive. Cocktails not recommended. The Cosmopolitan was not served in the typical glass and unrefrigerated. The Gin Basil Smash for €11 was absolutely undrinkable and is the worst cocktail I have been served in a bar for a long time.

The bull and bear salad used to be really tasty. Now I had a rotten, smelly egg in my salad :( My complaint to the waitress was not responded to at all. But the waitress was also more busy wiping the tables than I was taking care of the guests. They didn't even ask how and whether the food tasted, whether you were satisfied. Nothing at all... Einfach nur schrecklich. Früher waren wir oft mittags hier. Das Restaurant hatte eine sehr gute umfangreiche Speisekarte. Seit ein paar Monaten gibt es wohl einen neuen Geschäftsführer. Die Speisekarte ist ca. 80% kleiner als früher und unsere Lieblingsgerichte sind verschwunden. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist unterirdisch schlecht und das Essen geschmacklich unterste Niveau. Mein Hähnchen auf orientalischen Gemüse schmeckte nur nach Maggi und war bestenfalls Ratatouille, also nicht orientalisch. Dafür viel zu teuer. Wir kommen jedenfalls nicht wieder. Früher war mittags immer gut was los, jetzt relativ ruhig, und das beim schönen Wetter. Wir haben auch beachtet, wie 4 Damen das Restaurant nach einem Blick in die Speisekarte das Restaurant kopfschüttelnd wieder verlassen haben. Schade, dass ein neuer Geschäftsführer ein gut gehendes Lokal so runter wirtschaften kann. Sogar die Servicekräfte erkennen das Problem, nur der Chef wohl nicht. Schade, schade.

The price/performance ratio is no longer right at all, the menu is 80% smaller and there is nothing that we really like to eat. This afternoon it was a disaster. Chicken bowl with rice and oriental vegetables. The only spice was Maggi! And too much of it. Just terrible. We used to eat there once a week. But with the miserable food we won't be coming back. What was the new managing director thinking?

Sports bar serving basic food. I had a beer and there signatur hand burger with fries (Hamburger Bull+Bear). The meat was unfortunately very though/hard, so not very tasty. The fries was ok at best. Good location of the bar / restaurant.

Horrible service. They were trying to charge a 30% surcharge for paying by card, and after having to go and get money, the waitress still gave me a dirty look for not leaving a tip after all that.

First beer with lemon in a warmed terrace in the middle of the city centre

After a long time, I experienced a truly disappointing visit to a restaurant. We were a group of four friends exploring the city on a Friday night when we came across this place and decided to stop for drinks. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a regrettable choice. Each of us ordered a drink—two beers, one lemon tea, one juice and some pommes (fries) to snack on. The beer was subpar, the lemon tea overly sweet and the pommes were cold and lacked flavor. Even after smothering them with ketchup and sauce, we couldn’t finish them. To make things worse, the sauce bottle on the table was unopened. It’s such a basic part of service to open it before placing it on the table, yet even that was overlooked. To top it off, we had also ordered water, but it never arrived. The place wasn’t even busy, yet the service was slow and careless. If they couldn’t get such a simple order right, I can’t imagine what a full meal experience would be like. Overall, a disappointing way to spend a Friday night. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it!

A lovely place with a lovely staff! Friendly & kind while they are serving some delicious cocktails! Great menu & with a variety of options as well!

Very good restaurant with a great menu

The overall impression was disappointing. The schnitzel is not recommended, the potatoes were not fresh and inedible, the pizza base was burnt. Therefore, a recommendation is unfortunately not possible. The staff also has to work on themselves.

It's been a long time since we went to this bar today after being disappointed last time. Unfortunately, the two female waitresses seemed very overwhelmed (two orders were delivered incorrectly by the tall blonde waitress) and very unfriendly behavior when we wanted to pay (by the short waitress with dark curly hair). The only bright spot was what I would call the supervisor, who dealt with our complaint very professionally and apologized to us for the behavior of his colleagues. For us it was definitely the last visit to this bar.
