No TABLE SERVICE! Receive. Not a single plate was cleared away from us, not even after we had already paid... The employees seem very disinterested and don't want the job at all.

It's a shame, it was always my favorite location at lunchtime, especially when the sun was shining outside! Unfortunately not anymore! Frankfurt am Main (City) 'Bull & Bear' from RoSh & OrCa GmbH & Co. KG Schillerstrasse 11 60313 Frankfurt am Main Operating facility (general): The entire kitchen facility was found to be heavily soiled, and mouse droppings were found in places. The operating rooms and in particular the kitchen and the scullery were so dirty that a thorough cleaning of all equipment and surfaces was necessary and the kitchen and the scullery were closed..,... You can read it on the Hesse food inspection website, violation: March 6, 2025, online as of April 28, 2025. A shame, great on the outside and poor on the inside, given the prices!

Location good, service nice, but slow and inattentive. Cocktails not recommended. The Cosmopolitan was not served in the typical glass and unrefrigerated. The Gin Basil Smash for €11 was absolutely undrinkable and is the worst cocktail I have been served in a bar for a long time.

The bull and bear salad used to be really tasty. Now I had a rotten, smelly egg in my salad :( My complaint to the waitress was not responded to at all. But the waitress was also more busy wiping the tables than I was taking care of the guests. They didn't even ask how and whether the food tasted, whether you were satisfied. Nothing at all... It's a shame.

You don't go here for the food, but for the location. It's great and you always get a spot. However, not a culinary highlight of the city now.

Too bad, too bad. We used to enjoy eating here. There is apparently a new managing director who has changed the entire menu. The price/performance ratio is no longer right at all, the menu is 80% smaller and there is nothing that we really like to eat. This afternoon it was a disaster. Chicken bowl with rice and oriental vegetables. The only spice was Maggi! And too much of it. Just terrible. We used to eat there once a week. But with the miserable food we won't be coming back. What was the new managing director thinking?

Einfach nur schrecklich. Früher waren wir oft mittags hier. Das Restaurant hatte eine sehr gute umfangreiche Speisekarte. Seit ein paar Monaten gibt es wohl einen neuen Geschäftsführer. Die Speisekarte ist ca. 80% kleiner als früher und unsere Lieblingsgerichte sind verschwunden. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist unterirdisch schlecht und das Essen geschmacklich unterste Niveau. Mein Hähnchen auf orientalischen Gemüse schmeckte nur nach Maggi und war bestenfalls Ratatouille, also nicht orientalisch. Dafür viel zu teuer. Wir kommen jedenfalls nicht wieder. Früher war mittags immer gut was los, jetzt relativ ruhig, und das beim schönen Wetter. Wir haben auch beachtet, wie 4 Damen das Restaurant nach einem Blick in die Speisekarte das Restaurant kopfschüttelnd wieder verlassen haben. Schade, dass ein neuer Geschäftsführer ein gut gehendes Lokal so runter wirtschaften kann. Sogar die Servicekräfte erkennen das Problem, nur der Chef wohl nicht. Schade, schade.

Cozy sports bar right on the stock exchange. The service was very quick and friendly. There is something on the menu for every taste. The veggi burger is highly recommended. The prices were reasonable. We would come back at any time.

We have been regular guests for years and have always appreciated the restaurant. Unfortunately, our impression has changed recently. The portions have become noticeably smaller compared to before, while the prices continue to rise. The service now also leaves a lot to be desired - the service used to be much more attentive and friendly. It's a shame, because the restaurant once had a much better standard.

We waited a long time for a menu and then the food was delivered incorrectly. Then we had to wait another half hour for the right one. Then the waitress didn't have any change to give us our change back. So not recommended!

We were visiting Frankfurt and wanted to go out for something to eat then this restaurant caught our eye. We ordered a chili cheeseburger. Everything was normal until we bit into the burger. The burger was totally raw so we were a bit disgusted. We then gave the burger back and then we paid and left

Sports bar serving basic food. I had a beer and there signatur hand burger with fries (Hamburger Bull+Bear). The meat was unfortunately very though/hard, so not very tasty. The fries was ok at best. Good location of the bar / restaurant.

The restrooms are in a state of unacceptable hygiene. Not a good sign for a bar in this price range (this has been going on for about a year). The owner needs to take urgent action.

Horrible service. They were trying to charge a 30% surcharge for paying by card, and after having to go and get money, the waitress still gave me a dirty look for not leaving a tip after all that.

After a long time, I experienced a truly disappointing visit to a restaurant. We were a group of four friends exploring the city on a Friday night when we came across this place and decided to stop for drinks. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a regrettable choice. Each of us ordered a drink—two beers, one lemon tea, one juice and some pommes (fries) to snack on. The beer was subpar, the lemon tea overly sweet and the pommes were cold and lacked flavor. Even after smothering them with ketchup and sauce, we couldn’t finish them. To make things worse, the sauce bottle on the table was unopened. It’s such a basic part of service to open it before placing it on the table, yet even that was overlooked. To top it off, we had also ordered water, but it never arrived. The place wasn’t even busy, yet the service was slow and careless. If they couldn’t get such a simple order right, I can’t imagine what a full meal experience would be like. Overall, a disappointing way to spend a Friday night. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it!

Very good restaurant with a great menu

It's been a long time since we went to this bar today after being disappointed last time. Unfortunately, the two female waitresses seemed very overwhelmed (two orders were delivered incorrectly by the tall blonde waitress) and very unfriendly behavior when we wanted to pay (by the short waitress with dark curly hair). The only bright spot was what I would call the supervisor, who dealt with our complaint very professionally and apologized to us for the behavior of his colleagues. For us it was definitely the last visit to this bar.

The overall impression was disappointing. The schnitzel is not recommended, the potatoes were not fresh and inedible, the pizza base was burnt. Therefore, a recommendation is unfortunately not possible. The staff also has to work on themselves.

Overall, the burger was solid – not outstanding, but not bad either. Unfortunately, the service was somewhat affected by the loud music, which resulted in my order being misunderstood. Everything was fine, but the service could have been significantly improved with a quieter atmosphere. Okay for the price, but next time I'm hoping for a more relaxing atmosphere to fully enjoy the visit.

Unfriendly and arrogant waitresses who, for whatever reason, think they are better than others. The waitress with the short black hair apparently had more important things to do on her cell phone than asking us what we would like to order after repeated inquiries. The tables were dirty and covered in candle wax and no one thought it necessary to clean anything. Unfortunately there was more ice than drink in the cocktails, which is not what you would expect for this price. Really a shame and not worth a visit

We told the waitress with the short black hair that we wanted to place an order and we were ignored. I went to her personally and said again after half an hour that we wanted to order and were then ignored again and will never come back. Everyone was super rude and aloof!

Saturday evening, lots of guests who enjoyed drinking (I include our group of friends) and a tough wait staff who had the whole thing under control. Nadja (I mean?) didn't let herself be disturbed and gave us time to finish our drinks even after the official closing time. We didn't eat anything, but we'll definitely be back as long as Nadja is on duty on weekends!

We thought a happy hour was until 23h and ordered a cocktail a couple of minutes before (having asked the waitress), but apparently it was starting at 23h. We got to know it with the bill, and thanks to the explanation of the rude waitress that didn't warn us at all.

Sitting at the table for 28 minutes now, no service to be seen or found.

We were here for a birthday dinner and were warmly served. Thank you Maram for the great service and for your fast service! The drinks were especially great!!! We'll be back :)

We received extremely professional and friendly service. The young waitress Maram looked after us well and always made sure that we got our food warm and quickly. A visit is highly recommended.

Hamburger patty was half the diameter of the bun, felt like a maximum of 80-90g. That was meat. Everything else was medium, not worth going.

My husband was here 6 years ago. After ordered a beer and waited for 20 minutes. It’s still not come. And no waiter checked on the empty table during the wait. He left this review just stating the fact without any further comment. Today he got message from Google that the restaurant report him as disinformation. Come on. When leaving this review I read the other 2 most recent reviews, all one star on service. No wonder. The fact speaks for itself. You didn’t even had the dignity to reply something like an excuse that the staff were busy.

My second time visiting Bull&bear a very nice place to chill drinking beer and watch football haf a cheeseburger 🍔 with some fries 🍟 it was huge and tasty 😋 the waitress were nice and friendly especially lourine they work really hard .. absolutely recommended... I was there yesterday and I loved the food.

We had a great time here, Esma and Marianna were both outstanding and helped us pick out some great food despite us not speaking any German. I had the Frankfurter Green Sauce (heard it was a staple for Frankfurt), and enjoyed it - very fresh.

Only in town for a couple days, if you’re looking for a spot for lunch… this will hit the spot!

Dont think this is a sport bar where u can watch games, as background music is a priority for them during a football world cup and instead of fighting with previous reviews focus on better service or at least nicer people at the bar (my previous was deleted by google as restaurant raised a complain claiming its Defamation)

My first and last visit ,the coldest most unfriendly staff I've ever seen

Without praise without infamy, quite touristy menu, some typical dishes but mostly oriental cuisine, but also some burgers... it's not clear what orientation I have. We thought it was a completely different place but we were fooled by the smell of meat which evidently came from somewhere else. However clean, fast service, splendid waitress to whom I willingly left the tip that I was asked if I wanted to give. Got two weinerschnitzel with fries, nothing special. Accompanied by an entrée of salad dressed with a burger-type sauce.

The location is good and the seating is quite comfortable. However, we were on the terrace and the staff there was overwhelmed. Our service was very unfriendly. After we were served the wrong (cheaper) drink and complained about it, we were only told that it was the right drink. That wasn't a bad thing in itself because it was still tasty. However, we ended up having to pay for the other drink, which was significantly more expensive. We then commented that we only pay for what we drank. The waitress then dealt with us in a really inappropriate tone and showed no understanding at all. "If you don't have money, you can stay at home"

There was nothing wrong with the currywurst today. It's a shame to serve eteas like that.

Probably the worst service in town. We had 3-4 rounds of drinks and each time we waited at least 30 minutes for someone to come (you aren't allowed to order at the bar), and then usually 20-30 minutes for the drinks (beer) to arrive. An impudence

Absolutely NO GO!!! Service lackluster! Toilets underground! The men had six urinals, 3 broken, the rest dirty. Food: Convenience food + arrived cold! The waitress's excuse...it's better not to sit in the basement for warm food. - We had no choice, the three of us were sent straight down. Sports bar, ok...but screens with pixel images, incredibly loud + loud music (RAP) playing at the same time. Prices are way too high for what you get (the three of you paid over 40 EUR with two convenience food dishes and three drinks!) I absolutely cannot recommend this establishment.

Here you cash in when the waiter ends his shift. That's annoying when you get cashed in twice by two people. Not a great solution. We don't go here anymore. The main thing is to tip twice.

Good food, sporty atmosphere and friendly service

It's just a sports bar. For men it's an absolute dream, for women it's less so. The food was more like fast food with a few schnitzel variations. Mostly chicken. But relatively tasty.

The waitress who served us was rude, just because we asked in English if the soup was coconut, she replied to us in an insulting tone that she didn't explain the dishes in English. It's a shame about the very good food With a bitter taste I will never go back to my girlfriend. She made me feel unwelcome in her country. I hope the boss knows what to do.

The food is decent and the prices in comparisson to other places in town reasonable. It was the only place I could find open while arriving late to a nearby hotel on Sunday night at 10:30 pm. Also a plus that there is an outside heated patio. I had no issue with the service both the pasta and a burger we ordered with a friend were absolutely fine!

We wanted to go out for a relaxed meal on a Friday evening in the usual setting, but after this visit it will probably be the last time... Service was underground! My friend had the baked potato and the quark was clearly sour! But instead of taking it back and offering us something else, the quark was supposedly tried by everyone in the kitchen and our plate was then literally shoved under the noses of other guests... Then we were told that we just didn't like it, which wasn't the case. The tone of the service was presumptuous and not service-oriented! You couldn't cancel the meal, for whatever reason. We couldn't be named someone responsible... Ultimately the meal could be canceled and we got up and left straight away. If you feel like spoiled food and unfriendly service, this is the place for you!

I like this alot. A regular getaway place for us. Chicken curry with coconut milk is my favourite.. Drinks asusual... Service I love them. Friendly staff. Not nosy people. Huge outdoor... Indoor seating is limited I guess. Reasonable prices. Location is awesome. Just few feet from Hauptwache s bahn. Veg options also good. Can't expect more in Germany for vegetarians may be.

The waitress was solely responsible for the entire terrace on Saturday evening, so everything took a long time and the friendliness was limited. Unfortunately, the nachos with cheese gratinated tasted so stale and soggy that I had to return them. The location is nice and central and the prices are reasonable for the location.

I used to enjoy coming here often, but it has slowed down a lot. Lukewarm tarte flambée, inattentive and inflexible service (a glass of 0.1 instead of 0.2 wine not possible, she wouldn't know the price🙈) despite the empty restaurant, and all that at ridiculous prices! Here you definitely only pay for the location, not the quality or service :-( I'd rather leave my tip somewhere else, at least there wasn't one here.

The service wasn't really friendly and wasn't really motivated either. We waited 30 minutes for drinks. The food came fairly quickly, but several meals (citizens) were ice cold. Wasn't a good visit.

The bistro has a top location and is surprisingly affordable with good food. The menu has a bit of everything, which put us off at first, but the dishes we ordered from different categories were really good. The portions were large, the selection of vegetarian dishes was adequate to good and the drinks menu was to die for! On warm days you can sit outside in front of the stock exchange within sight of the bear and the bull. What's particularly nice is that there are also vegetarian options among the Frankfurt specialties, for example the green sauce with boiled egg and potatoes. Overall, less of a restaurant and more of a bistro, but that's not a disadvantage. The staff is friendly, quick and conscientious, but sometimes you have to draw attention to yourself. An absolute recommendation for tourists. Local specialties, great location, good prices, large portions.

The staff is so grumpy, they look tired of life, they are never polite, the food wasn't good either, we weren't satisfied at all, the waiters are supposed to be friendly, they never laugh, I never felt comfortable as a customer. Very unfortunate.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant. One employee, a blonde girl in short jeans, ignored us the whole time. When she finally served us, she brought us a cold cappuccino. When we asked to replace it, she refused.

I visited bull and bear yesterday with my group of 13 girls and I ordered a dish of cous cous from the evening menu but it was so overcooked that it wasn’t edible. I gave the feedback to the server and she was not even kind enough to offer a replacement. I quickly got the feeling that they don’t seem to value their repeated customers. The quality is going down drastically and I wouldn’t return this place unless they actually correct their ways of dealing with customer service and improve their food quality. How can they expect the customer to pay for the dish, I couldn’t even eat. Totally unreasonable service and food. I also noticed that the server was not detail oriented and bought extra drinks and told us it’s our fault- can’t someone know that 13 people wouldn’t order 15 drinks ? We still were kind to say ok we will pay for 15 drinks but there was no response. People were working like they are forced to work there.

Very rude staff, i was there 10 minutes after the opening (i checked on google and at the location)and they told me they are closed and they will open after one hour. Definitely not worth trying! We went to another place where we ate so well and we tipped the waiter 20€ for being nice( a thing that in this place is definitely not possible). I feel bad for people going here hoping for a nice experience or with children because of how grumpy the waitress was. I think she is not paid enough maybe?

The service was absolutely catastrophic, we waited forever and asked a few times and we are waiters ourselves and know what it's like, but it wasn't crowded at all and she then just went to smoke a cigarette even though she told us that she would be there soon. We ate there on August 17th. A burger menu and pasta dish. It was the worst burger I had ever eaten 👎🏼 Guests at the neighboring table even got moldy hamburger buns. Service was totally unfriendly!!! Sanitary facilities are also very shabby. Conclusion -I don't recommend eating there.!!!

Don't go here, you're just disturbing people!!! We were here on a Wednesday afternoon to try out another restaurant. Due to its prime location in the heart of Frankfurt and the large outdoor area, it initially made a good impression. However, after we sat down, the problems started. Although there were hardly any guests and there were plenty of staff everywhere inside, not a single person thought to serve us, no matter how many times we waved and asked for service. Somehow they all had better things to do than worry about guests/paying customers. So we waited hungry for 15 minutes and then left without having accomplished anything to satisfy our hunger somewhere else, where guests might not be treated so ignorantly and indifferently, but rather with appreciation. It's a real shame with such an impressive menu that no one will be able to enjoy under these circumstances... I would have expected more from such a well-known address in Frankfurt. Better go somewhere else!!!

A day under 34° and they refuse to serve tap water under the pretext that "we can't make a margin on it". Plus, there was as much bacon on the flammkush as there was a smile on the waitress's face. Enough to have a good day.

It's very nice to sit here, especially in summer outside on Bärsenplatz. But both the service and the food used to be better. This is just convenience standard. It will fill you up, but it's not a great thing.

We were there for lunch with a larger group. The selection actually offers something for every taste (Pinsa, burgers, Asian and also regional things like green sauce). Considering there were 12 of us, the waiting times were okay. In principle, most of the food tasted good. But on the one hand it was somehow very carelessly slapped together, at least the burger, and on the other hand it was way too overloaded with onions. Anyone who thinks something like that is great will enjoy it, I definitely found it too much.

I come here every now and then to eat. The daily meal is always very good and has a good selection. The prices are ok.
