Delicious food from German cuisine. The catering industry is often busy, which occasionally means that drink orders are forgotten and you have to ask. Other than that, the portions are just right and the food overall was very tasty.

Nun, die Bewertung des Lokalbesuches würde die Schulnote "ungenügend" bekommen. Trotz Reservierung war es ein Tisch im Zugang zur Küche und Toilette. Geschmacklich gesehen ein Wohlgeruch. Das Essen können wir leider nicht bewerten, da es trotz EDV Technik vergessen wurde. Die blöde Nachfrage "haben sie etwas bestellt" setzte dem Ganzen die Krone auf. Fazit, in der Stadtkarte von Fulda ist an der Adresse von diesem Lokal kein Schwarzer Hahn mehr sondern nur ein schwarzes Loch.

We like to go out to eat, often spontaneously, which is often a problem at the Schwarzer Hahn inn because there is no free space, but that clearly speaks for the inn. People speak at Friedrichstr. from the flight path of tourists, there is always something going on and the restaurants on this street benefit from it. We can't recommend one or the other restaurant on the street because they assume that if one person isn't happy, there are plenty of others who want to go out to eat. It's completely different at Wirtshaus Schwarzer Hahn - first I would like to highlight and praise the staff, they are always super friendly, courteous and attentive. The kitchen offers a fine selection of German, regional dishes. We have tried many dishes and have never been disappointed, everything is always fresh, tasty and you get decent portions. The price-performance ratio is great, whether for the food or the drinks. You won't get ripped off here like in so many other places. People like to sit here and drink a beer or two. What else can I write other than please keep it up, we'll always be happy to come back.

We had chanterelles once with salad and once with baguette. Unfortunately it was carelessly made and basically tasteless. Price/performance not appropriate. Sitting outside is nice, but you can also do that next door.

Food was okay. Service not very friendly. Stood eating fries with her fingers between servings. Luckily we didn't get sick, but we found it very unsanitary.

Food very tasty and plentiful. The staff is super friendly, there is only a little problem when it comes to breaking down when it comes to the bill.

The portions vary. There was no extra beetroot. Tafelspitz was good...beer too. It was full to the brim here even though it was very expensive...

Despite ordering with vinegar and oil, I received a salad with cream sauce. Schnitzel with fried potatoes was ok, price was fair. The menu could do with a few more typical German dishes from home cooking and regional cuisine if that's what you advertise...

Absolute recommendation. We sat indoors with a larger group and were looked after by very nice and friendly staff. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was relatively relaxed despite the many guests outside. I had the garlic bag and can only recommend it. If you want to eat well you will definitely find something here.

The food deserves only the worst possible rating. We ordered different schnitzel dishes. Two very thin little schnitzels each, probably industrially breaded and then briefly warmed up in the deep fryer. This has nothing to do with juicy schnitzels like it says on the menu. Also the fried potato without any taste. I almost think that these were also ready-made fried potatoes from the freezer and deep fryer. A pity.

Has been waning for a few months. It was my favorite restaurant in Fulda so far, but since the service has changed, with one exception, I only feel moderately comfortable there. The food was always first class. Now you have to make compromises, plus staff who have no idea how to operate. A pity. I'll look for alternatives.

We spontaneously got a place for 3 outside, which we were very happy about. Unfortunately, I only received the season ticket after I asked. The chanterelle cream soup for €7.50 was highly recommended, but the bread dumplings with cream chanterelles were a bit bland and a fairly small portion for €18.50. The schnitzel was okay for €16.50, but we wouldn't order it again. The two main courses were also already quite cool when we received them, even though we didn't wait long.

The food was good. The male waiter was very friendly, the lady was a bit grumpy. Price performance was okay. Very full of decoration.

A restaurant to my taste. Rustic with good food and attentive and friendly service. The Schäufele and is already a portion for people who are very hungry. The savoy cabbage adds a poem. The boiled beef is also of very good quality. Opinions differ when it comes to green sauce. It tastes good, but you know it differently.

At the time of our visit there was only the small menu. The selection was still varied and the food was tasty. A pleasant atmosphere and friendly service rounded off the visit.

If you feel comfortable in old furniture and nostalgic ambience with the zeitgeist of Fulda and love old German cuisine, this is the right place for you. Food and drinks as well as furnishings like grandma's times.

There is a limited menu in the late afternoon

The weather was beautiful. That's why we wanted to sit outside and have something to eat. The recessions were promising. The right drink was quickly found in the Black Rooster, you can drink Black Rooster. The menu was clear, the special menu was only available upon request. Delicious home cooking ordered with the note “no carrots please, I’m allergic”. Surprise in the side salad were lots of small carrot pieces. Bad very bad. The test was okay, but not exceptional. Only the service was basically non-existent. No inquiry about our well-being, no possibility of ordering drinks. No, we were very disappointed. Never again.

I was visiting Fulda and wanted to have a good home-style meal with a few people a few days ago. I ordered the garlic bag with fried potatoes. The disappointment was great, the garlic bag still worked but I have never had such bad fried potatoes. They went back, that didn't work at all. Partly burnt, bone dry, no seasoning, no onions or great bacon on it and everything was very carelessly prepared. The only decoration was a small sprig of parsley. Very disappointing. I was given a waiver for my drink but I wasn't full. I would never go there again.

I ordered the Schäufelchen and it was very tasty. Unfortunately the food wasn't really good for the others. The fried potatoes weren't great and the presentation wasn't done well either. In addition, everything was quite dry and black in places. Therefore not edible. The service took a little too long and felt a bit uncoordinated.

We wanted to eat there with 6 adults and 3 children. It was very crowded, far too warm and it was made clear to us that we were not wanted there. After a few minutes to think about it, we decided to leave.

A rustic, appealing ambience, good cuisine and the best service, very well-kept drinks and everything at a very acceptable price. Customer requests are taken into account. All of this motivates us, Visit this good restaurant often. Here, women/men can dine with high quality and lots of taste, even without stars. And you will also get full at a reasonable price. Don't forget the well-kept wine list

I ate a large salad plate with boiled beef ==> great. It's a quaint restaurant with a great atmosphere. Stylishly furnished. The waiters are very nice and attentive. Prices are normal these days. Anyone who complains here is probably eating the kit from the windows at home.

Spent a week in Fulda, and loved this place. Owner was wonderful, food was good, we'll definitely be back during out next visit.

Unfortunately, after a friendly "Hello" from us, we were greeted with a "Attention", the waiter pushed us aside to serve other guests and when we wanted to sit down at one of the free tables, we were told that "that's how it is here "just can't be done"... to our astonishment we weren't given a seat, but rather given the cold shoulder. We were warmly welcomed in the Italian Ristorante next door.

Very unfriendly service.. At around 3:30 p.m. I wanted to quickly eat something alone and sat down at a table in the front, bright area. The restaurant was almost empty. Since I was alone, the unfriendly lady wanted to sit me in the dark back area at a smaller table where only men and I were sitting I didn't feel comfortable as a woman traveling alone. I asked her that I just wanted to eat something quickly, but she preferred to forego the income rather than let me sit at the front. It wasn't dinner time at 3:30 p.m. and only two tables were occupied a couple also at a larger table. I would understand if it had been around lunchtime or in the evening, no matter how unfriendly. That's just not how you treat customers. It's a shame. I also come from the catering industry and that's absolutely a no go.

The ambience is rather clocklike. The online menu doesn't apply and you get a succinct page in a transparent sleeve. It's a real shame if you decide on a dish beforehand but it's not available. You will only get a drinks menu if you ask. The food was good, you can't say anything about it. But comfortable is different

The food was very good and I would order it again immediately (seared veal). But the cherry smoked beer wasn't really my thing, and luckily it could be saved with a decent pilsner beer. This is how I imagine a typical pub.

Finished products! Fat fryer! Microwave! 1. Food: There is no fresh cooking here. Frozen products thawed in the fat fryer. Finished products warmed up moderately in the microwave. I had a frozen schnitzel that had been thawed in the fat fryer and was dripping with fat. More breading than meat. Ready-made fried potatoes - consistency like mashed potatoes or jacket potatoes - served almost cold. Lukewarm ready-made sauce from the bucket. This has nothing to do with home-style cooking. 2. Prices: Given this, the price-performance ratio is not right at all. 3. Location: The rear seating between the loud kitchen, separated only by a curtain, and the open exit to the toilet is anything but romantic. 4. Personnel: no specialist staff

1. Speisen: Frisch gekocht wird hier nicht. Fertigprodukte in der Mikrowelle mäßig aufgewärmt. Ich hatte ein TK-Schnitzel, welches vor Fett triefte. Mehr Panade als Fleisch. Fertig-Bratkartoffeln fast kalt serviert. Lauwarme Fertigsoße aus dem Eimer. Das hat mit gutbürgerlicher Küche nichts zu tun. 2. Preise: Daran gemessen stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. 3. Lokation: Die hinteren Sitzgelegenheiten zwischen der -lautstarken, nur mit einem Vorhang getrennten Küche- und dem -offenen- Abgang zur Toilette sind alles andere als romantisch. 4. Personal: kein Fachpersonal

Been here last week. Conclusion: Cozy location in a rustic style. The food and service were very good and extremely friendly. The beer is also tasty and a “short” French drink after your meal is recommended 👌

Wir waren mit mit 11 Personen im Lokal. Es wurde Hauptsächlich Schnitzel mit Sauce gegessen. Ich hatte ein Steak mit Zwiebel Senf Kruste. Es wurde hauptsächlich Bratkartoffeln als Beilage serviert. Die Schnitzel vom Schwein wurden mit Sauce übergossen, die Bratkartoffel haben nichts mit guten Bratkartoffeln zu tuen, mein Steak sah aus wie eine Wurst, wurde Medium well serviert ( ohne zu fragen) der Beilagensalat war ok. Insgesamt eine 5- für das Steak für 30,50 €. IMein Rotwein war lecker. Das Bier schmeckte meinen Kollegen nicht so gut. Fazit: Das Lokal ist nicht zu empfehlen. Für mich gibt es keinen Grund dort essen zu gehen.

Rustic hall, unfortunately we had a small table in the aisle and therefore felt very watched. That wasn't so comfortable. The food was more filling than super tasty. The roast was very tender but the dumplings were rather mushy. The sauce was a bit uninspired. The schnitzel was good, but the fatty taste of the fried potatoes was unfortunately a bit rancid. Unfortunately the seasoning wasn't my thing either. But what was very good was the coleslaw. But you really can't say anything about the price. The staff was efficient but impersonal and stressed. Oh well. So it wasn't really an experience for us... It can be done but we won't necessarily plan on repeating it.

Everything perfect! Large portions and fair price. The service is friendly and always on hand.

Leckere fränkische Küche mit Braten und Klößen, aber auch Schnitzel. Bodenständig lecker...

Es geht zu Ende mit der guten Gastronomie. Wir kamen an unseren Tisch und haben ein zerknittertes Blatt Papier in einer alten Folie bekommen und das sollte die Speisekarte sein 😵‍💫Im Internet und am Eingang war die normale Karte. Wir wollten dann aus der kleinen Karte etwas Essen und da waren auch noch Gerichte aus und es wurde gesagt, dass morgen erst Lieferung kommt. So etwas kann man sich doch in dieser Zeit nicht erlauben. Wir sind dann gegangen.Nie wieder!

Der Service war durchgängig zweckmäßig ohne viele Worte zu verlieren. ;-) Die Speisen waren ohne Klimbim angerichtet und geschmacklich ok.

Eigentlich ganz uriges Gasthaus. Allerdings sind die Preise etwas zu hoch. Der Kellner hat den ruppigen Charme eines Herbergsvaters. Das Schäufele war mittelmäßig. Die Kruste kaum zu verzehren, der Wirsing völlig überwürzt. Das Bier lecker, aber auch etwas zu teuer.

Eine gute Auswahl an Speisen. Gute Hausmannskost. Das Essen schmeckt gut. Allerdings wäre ein bisschen Salat zum Schwäbischen Schnitzel was für's Auge. 😉 Service ist ein wenig konfus. Teils leere Wege. Bei 2 Personen und dann der Laden voll... das ist nicht einfach.

Der Wirt ein echter knaller , lustig und sehr freundlich! Definitif ein besuch wert!

Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet, daher muss man etwas warten. Aber wer es eilig hat, der sollte an die Imbissbude gehen. Wir haben Forelle mit Salzkartoffeln und Salat gegessen. Das es geschmeckt hat, sieht man wohl.War sehr gut. Bedienung nett und freundlich.

Wir waren letzte Woche abends dort essen mit meinen Kolleginnen. Es war sehr schön gewesen, das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr lecker gewesen. Ich hatte Gänsebrust, Klöße,Rotkraut mit Sauce. Die Portionen waren genau richtig. Ich werde mit Sicherheit öfters dort essen gehen. 😄

Generell sehr lecker, aber nichts besonders und auch nicht garniert. Der Kellner war flott und nett aber ein weißes T-shirt als Arbeitskleidung, nun ja. Das gleich gilt für die Tischdeko, etwas lieblos...Maronen im Im Teelichtständer. Preisleistung paßt.

Uriges Restaurant, deutsche Küche. Der Kümmelbraten super lecker, das Rahm Schnitzel auch sehr gut. Gulaschsuppe war wirklich viel Fleisch drin.
