Yesterday the two of us spontaneously went to the village at 9 p.m. Didn't reserve. However, we were treated extremely hospitably and were given the best seat in the store within 10 minutes. Where should I start? The employees who sing Musical Like, the great, open-minded guests or the fabulous food? For me a clear 12/10!

Incredible meal, great hospitality, all in a very homely, authentic cosy environment. Had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce and it was the best I’ve had. Sauerkraut was really nice too. If you arrive and it is busy, maybe hang around for 10 minutes until another table is cleared so that you can be seated.

Very lovingly prepared. Every detail is a highlight. Super recommended. Had a voucher for a wine barrel overnight stay with candle light dinner and breakfast.

Pssst... don't tell anyone: this is one of the best, if not the best bistro for German cuisine with a French twist. The service is excellent, the ambience is such that the guest feels at home and the cuisine, well, it couldn't be better. Luckily the prices are still moderate, our absolute highlight is the lunch menu for under 20 euros.

1. One of the best Wiener Schnitzel I've ever eaten. Maybe a little too salty together with the fried potatoes, but that may also be due to my personal taste. When I cook for myself, I tend to add little salt - of course the restaurant can't know that. Four stars. 2. On the third visit (yesterday) I had two soups that were clearly too salty not only for me but also for my friend. As Biolek already said: You can always add more salt (significantly, there are only salt shakers on every table, but no pepper shakers) - you just can't add salt. 3. When we were clearing up we were asked if everything was okay. Apparently that wasn't really a serious question, because when I said that it was too salty for me, I was reprimanded quite severely as to why I hadn't said so earlier. Why am I being asked this question when only uncritical answers are apparently allowed anyway? 4. I find the service staff's advice to say it immediately if you don't like it legitimate and helpful and I take it to heart, thank you! Since it was soup, I thought it came from a large pot and wasn't made especially for me. Next time I'll get back to you sooner, I promise! ✌️ 5. However, I did not find the way this was communicated to be hospitable. When the table next door made a similar comment while paying, I felt that the two women were literally folded together by the waitress; It was incomprehensible to her why people only complained at the end. In terms of content, I completely agree. But: As guests, we felt lectured and reprimanded in an unfriendly tone when we left - apart from the fact that there was not even an excuse for the hour-long wait for the food. As I said: everything is understandable in terms of content - but the sound makes the music, St. Pauli coolness or not. I was a paying guest and not an employee and would like to be treated as such. I definitely understand everything, but not for such a harsh tone, which certainly reflected the stress or perhaps frustration over the evening in a full restaurant with some dissatisfied guests. But things can be a little more professional.

I was here a few days ago and I don't normally write Google reviews, but this experience stuck in my mind. The food itself was good and was brought to us by a nice waitress who, when asked for a recommendation, answered honestly with “unfortunately it's my first day”, but still gave us recommendations. During the course of the evening we noticed how the cook unpleasantly put down the waitress for every question. Unfortunately this really affected our experience, please consider changing staff (cook).
