The food was very good, although a bit heavy. We enjoyed everything. The staff spoke fluent English.

In my opinion, this is a great restaurant (on Wexstraße) for a warm (reasonable) meal, even with (young) children. There's generally limited space, but the snack-like atmosphere meant that it was a regular change, so after enjoying a drink and art supplies (!) for our 2.5-year-old daughter outside, we were able to quickly move inside to eat. The service was friendly, and everything was quick, but not too quick to make you suspicious. The Maultaschen (swabian pasta) in broth, spaetzle with sauce, and salad were delicious. The price, in my opinion, is in line with the service. The restrooms are solid. Everything is clean, no complaints. A fold-out changing table and a toilet seat for children would be a plus. One can always dream. ;) In summary: a definite recommendation!

Small, cute little restaurant. We received a friendly welcome and prompt service. Unfortunately, it's very cramped inside—you have to like that. The tables for two aren't comfortable; you either have another guest at your back or the refrigerator, which you feel every time you open it, and you sit awkwardly next to the overhanging heater at an already too small table. The food arrived after about 6 minutes. I can't say if the spaetzle were homemade; they tasted no different than the ones you get from a package, meaning nothing. The sauce, unfortunately, didn't save it. It was a gravy with red wine. Either too much wine was used or the gravy wasn't cooked down properly—it tasted strongly of wine and quite bitter. The menu didn't offer any other options for vegetarians. So, vegetarians, beware: there are definitely roast leftovers in the gravy. Unfortunately, not like at home. But "you can eat it." The prices are reasonable for the portion size, but unfortunately, not for the taste.

Absolutely delicious! The Maultaschen and Spätzle were excellent! The service is also very attentive and friendly! Great atmosphere, I'd definitely go back! The restaurant is a bit small, but that's a good fit for the food, and the portions are very generous!

Amazingly good small restaurant. Very close to S and U Bahn stations. Many dishes featuring Spaetzle at good prices. Can get very busy in the evening. Recommend making a reservation or visit earlier in the day.

In a word: fantastic. It's a very small restaurant, so no highchairs are available, but they called back immediately after making a reservation. The food was delicious, generous portions at a very reasonable price, and the food is honest and good. Because Spätzle contains only a few ingredients, it's crucial to use the right ingredients and prepare them correctly—and they do that superbly here. The staff clearly know their stuff, are rightly proud of their product, and clearly enjoy their work. I've been spoiled with family in the Alps, so I'm very familiar with authentic Kässpatzen with mountain cheese, and outside of the Allgäu, I've never encountered such good Spätzle. Highly recommended; we'll definitely be back!

I'm from Swabia and have never eaten Maultaschen as good as these. The spaetzle are also fantastic.

The food is okay, just a bit too much oil or fat in the sauce. The service is perfectly fine and friendly. The atmosphere isn't so pleasant, and there are too many flies, which quickly spoils your appetite. I can't imagine how unhygienic the restroom is, with thousands of flies flying around and clinging to the wall. As a woman, I could imagine that you wouldn't dare sit on the toilet seat with flies buzzing everywhere. I know this is a fast food joint and cleanliness is rarely a concern, but I still don't want to come home with diarrhea afterward. Even a kebab shop near us is more hygienic.

I ordered cheese spaetzle, but they were barely creamy, very soft, and the cheese was very strong. It wasn't to my taste.

Best home-made Spätzle! Huge portions, freshly prepared. Tiny, cosy restaurant with friendly staff and great options for vegetarians and vegans! I had the parmesan spätzle with pesto and the tomato salad garnish, and my wife had the cheese spätzle with smoked tofu. Very tasty. 😊

A very small but no less cozy place. The food came quickly and was really delicious. I had cheese spaetzle with meatloaf and was stuffed, even though I'm someone who's always afraid of not being full. The dressing on the side salad was also really good. The service was extremely friendly.

I ate here on a workday and I really wanted to enjoy the food, but the woman working there was talking really badly about the different customers eating there. Just little mean comments about their clothes and so on. I didn't catch her talking about me, but I didn't feel good about my experience. Food was good but a bit pricey for the quality delivered.

Food looks good, service was very rude. Sad, was looking forward to it. Restaurant was rather empty, took a seat to look at the menu and then she passive aggressive started mumbling to herself about us :(

The food and service are first-class. I'm particularly pleased with the freshness of the salads on offer. You don't find that everywhere else. I especially recommend the Parmesan spaetzle with green pesto.

For me, as a true Swabian, it was a must to eat lentils with spaetzle there. And oh my god...it tasted like my grandma used to make 😍🥰🫶It was simply unbelievably delicious. I haven't left a restaurant this satisfied in a long time.

Tomé un chorrito de queso con tocino y cebolla. Vino con una pequeña ensalada también. Las porciones son bastante grandes - tengo un gran apetito y solo pude terminar la mitad de mi plato muy abundante. Muchas opciones de bebidas, tuve una limonada de hierbas llamada Almdudler que era delicioso y refrescante. El servicio era casual y amable. No hay menú en inglés disponible, pero los servidores lo hablaban muy bien. Muy recomendable para el almuerzo!

Small, quaint cafe primarily serving the Swabian classic spätzle - their version of pasta. Seating for about 30 and the place filled up by 2pm. I had a cheese spätzle with bacon and onions. It came with a small salad as well. Portions are quite big - I have a large appetite and could only finish half of my very hearty dish. Lots of drink options, I had an herbal lemonade called Almdudler that was delicious and refreshing. Service was casual and friendly. No English menu available but servers spoke it just fine. Highly recommended for lunch!

We are a family of four and stopped by here in the Nordstadt district the week before Easter. A good "contrast" if you want to go without fish for a change. You can enjoy very interesting spaetzle specialties here. The service is good and it's also reasonably priced. A definite recommendation!

My favorite spot in Hamburg, been coming here for nearly 10 years bringing colleagues and business guests. Great swabian food, quick and good service, good prices. It's been getting more popular and space is tight but usually they make it work.

It is very small. The food was really good and quick. I don't like the atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious food. Kind of a cute little shop. But very, very tight. When you get up, you sometimes have to move all the tables, otherwise you can't get out. Service relatively friendly. What I would like to point out, however, is that I don't find it nice at all that the "cook" constantly smokes right in front of the shop. This makes a very unprofessional and unpleasant impression.

Very tasty Swabian restaurant with a good vegan and vegetarian selection. It is a small snack bar with only a few tables, but you can sit comfortably and are also served at the table. However, due to the limited number of places, a reservation is recommended. The menu includes typical Swabian specialties such as spaetzle in various variations (cheese spaetzle, lentil spaetzle, cabbage spaetzle) as well as Maultaschen and other dishes. Many of the spaetzle variations are vegan, and there is at least one vegetarian version of the Maultaschen. I also think it's great that you can order the spaetzle as a "salad version" where you get 2/3 spaetzle and a large salad. The food is super delicious, and I can also highly recommend the vegan dishes. The price of the food is super fair, you get good quality and large portions for little money. Overall, I can really recommend “Zum Spätzle”.

Zum Spätzle hat zwei Standorte in Hamburg: ich war in der Ottenser Hauptstr. 53 drin. Recht gute Auswahl, schneller und freundlicher Service. Sehr viele schwäbische Gerichte - hat mir sehr gut gefallen.

Easy insider tip. Small restaurant with nothing but spaetzle in all variations. We were lucky and were able to get the last two seats at the counter with a view of the restaurant. What do you see? People. A group of young women, exuberant, laughing, chatting, right at the table for two, perhaps mother and daughter engrossed in their food, content, enjoying, like us. Spaetzle with pesto and parmesan, rocket for the kick, the Trollinger was rather too acidic in the first finish, but the taste followed. It's a great location with a cozy atmosphere and great food. Really good spaetzle and small but comfortable to sit in.

I would give 5 stars just for the plates. Since the cheese spaetzle is also worth 5 stars, it's even easier. What's great is that the amount can vary if you just ask nicely. The ambience is good, just very little space.

We made a reservation a long time ago. We came for dinner. They made me sit on the table in front of the toilet, one goal per minute. However, the four tables in the front were empty. There's always someone passing by. Discomfort is at its peak. Anyway, we ordered, ordered spatzle, it was good. Portions are abnormally large. I don't know if there is a half portion option, but half a portion will be enough for a normal hungry person. Because it gets boring after a while. We left immediately because our seat was bad. It would be better if we sat a little longer, we could think about dessert or something. We would have some fun. Maybe this was not intended. As far as I can see, the same kind of treatment was given to other commentators. I think a restaurant is good and In order to be considered in the recommendable category, you need to be able to say "I would go again". Personally, I didn't think so. After all, there is a risk of being seated at those tables.

Good Swabian cuisine is rarely found in Hamburg, so we wanted to give the snack bar a chance. The shop is very small and cozy, the food (Spätzle) was very tasty and exactly as I imagined it. But the price was very high - we paid just under 45 euros for two people with drinks. Then they're just spaetzle. The tone of the service was rough. You could say "typical Hamburger Schnack" but you didn't necessarily feel welcome.

I was there with my husband on a Saturday morning. We went in and wanted to sit down. Didn't realize we should have reserved ahead of time. The waitress came to us with an inappropriate tone and said: You can't just walk through and sit down, you have to wait at the door. That wasn't friendly at all. We were then given two places to choose from because we didn't reserve. When we wanted to order we asked if it was possible for me to get a children's portion as I can't eat that much due to my stomach. In a cutesy tone we got the answer that this wasn't possible and that's why you have the other alternatives. The alternatives are: spaetzle and then a salad. However, that's a big portion and I can't eat it. The delicious food came very quickly. The waiting time was surprisingly short. The portion size is really huge and tastes great! The caramelized onions were particularly good! Unfortunately, from our seat we could see the waitress preparing the small salads, which come in one portion, by hand. The salad was simply taken out of small silver containers by hand and portioned into a small bowl. Which in itself isn't a problem if you wash your hands beforehand. But if you accept payments beforehand and enter orders on the PC and then do that with the message, that's not so good... The ambience is fine. Small shop but somehow very cute.. Btw: we sat there for around 25 minutes and ate. Apparently none of the reservations came during our stay and the store was just as full when we left as when we entered.

A local German restaurant. They make fresh homemade pasta. When choosing meat, be careful as they use a mixture of pork and cow. Pasta was very delicious. The portion is very large, two different flavors should be chosen and eaten. I chose red German wine as local, it had a taste close to vinegar. The blue girl serving looked very tired. I don't know if it was because of that, but he was very rude. There were three empty tables for two people. He made us sit at the last table in front of the toilet. It was like we had dinner in the ward. The environment looked very nice when we entered, but of course we couldn't see it from where we were sitting. A place to stop by and eat during the day. But don't waste your night for dinner.

Wir sind eher zufällig über das kleine Restaurant gestolpert. Wunderschön heimelig eingerichtet, sehr nettes aufmerksames Personal und sehr leckeres Essen. Die Portionen sind absolut ausreichend und die Preise mehr als nur fair. Wer es planen kann, sollte jedoch einen Tisch reservieren. Wir hatten Glück, da wir am Nachmittag dort eingekehrt sind.
