We were guests on December 31st, 2024, the restaurant was fully booked and very full, but the service was still great and the food was tasty and at the table very quickly. Thank you 🙏

We dined there with our in-laws and were thrilled with the food, service and ambience from start to finish. All in all it was a successful week. We received excellent service from Justin. He was attentive and courteous and literally read your wishes from your lips. The food - wow - a big shout out to the kitchen! It was so delicious I took the pumpkin noodles and was in culinary heaven. Thank you, thank you for this enchanting evening - to the whole team - we'll be back! Hamburg, Sunday December 22nd, 2024, 6 p.m We were really looking forward to our visit to the “Heimat” restaurant after I came across it on the internet. We had reserved a table for seven people before Wichen. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but pleasant. • Choosing a seat: After we arrived and the restaurant manager “Nadine” saw that of the seven people there were three children present, she assigned us a table with “couch chairs”. This was more than impractical for dinner. • Service: After a conversation with the restaurant manager, Nadine, there was no satisfactory solution to our concerns, although at the same time there were enough other places available for exchange, usual tables with chairs, as can be seen on the internet on the homepage and on Google. This resulted in us leaving the restaurant disappointed. Nadine, had no decency to say “bye” or “goodbye”. Questions for other readers: 1. Have you had similar experiences at this or other restaurants? 2. How important is a table and chairs to you when making a reservation? 3. What solutions do you expect from the restaurant management in such situations? 4. Is it possible that children are not welcome in this restaurant? 5. Do children make less sales than adults on a Sunday? 6. Does this mean you get a table of inferior quality? 7. How do you sit in a restaurant? 8. How do you sit at the dining table? I hope my experiences help others and perhaps encourage the restaurant to check and refrain from this behavior.

I was there a few days ago with my girlfriend, we were celebrating passing an exam. When making the reservation, I expressed my wish for a romantic table in the corner, which was then granted. It was simply wonderful. In the pictures here you can only see the restaurant during the day, but with the lighting at night everything looks ten times more comfortable. We felt very comfortable. The food was spectacularly good, we had the 3-course “Heimat” menu, which at just under €50 was absolutely within the league’s price range. There was also a drinks package for €18 per person, which included unlimited water, a bottle of wine and coffee. I would particularly like to highlight our waiters Niklas and especially Agata. I have rarely experienced such professionalism in restaurants. Both were very attentive, extremely friendly and not even remotely pushy. For me THE reason to come back. You just feel very well treated. Top employees. I wish the entire team the very best and am already looking forward to the next time. <3

We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at home. And what can I say? It was a celebration! From a culinary point of view, a great little menu in the upper price segment. The service was very attentive and we were duly compensated for the somewhat long wait with a glass of champagne and a birthday surprise. An absolute recommendation for a special evening. The desserts and starters were very tasty, such as: the sausage salad. The bread served will blow your mind too!

The food was simply amazing, very tasteful and well presented. The wine was also tasty, I would have expected more options thought. What could dramatically improved was service, the staff were not friendly and attentive. They seemed just running from here and there and it was pretty hard to have their attention. I’d go back there again and I hope the service will be improved.

Nice atmosphere, courteous service, but the price of the food is disproportionate to the taste. 37€ for an onion roast that was fried for too long and was quite flaxy, the sauce that was poorly seasoned with too much tomato paste and cold spaetzle, are definitely too much. I've had better and cheaper ones before.

The light was too dark. You hardly recognized what you had on your plate. Everything tasted very good. The service was top and very attentive. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Slechte bediening. Moesten overal zelf om vragen voelden ons absoluut niet welkom. Het voorgerecht was prima. Hoofdgerecht was de vis te ver waardoor hij droog was. Het dessert hebben we overgeslagen omdat na ons hoofdgerecht de borden werden weggehaald en niemand kwam vragen of we nog iets wilde. Daarna na een kwartier met een lege tafel en lege glazen om de rekening gevraagd

You need a moment to think about it. little light to get used to. Then! but quite comfortable. Very nice service. Choice between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. quite limited b.d. But it's okay to eat for once. Eaters could very much be served much warmer. Restaurant is part of the 25h hotel...you should know. Are there ever groups with a buffet there? All in all, I would like to try the dinner menu again...but I'm not sure why I would need to come back. Although it wasn't "bad". Prices are OK.

Gran experiencia. La combinación entre paisaje, precio, calidad y valor es muy buena. Pagamos 150 (75 € por persona) por agua ilimitada, muy buena botella de vino y un gran menú de 3 platos que era absolutamente sabroso y más que suficiente ! AÑADIR el equipo amable (no de manera contundente pero sí genuinamente amable) y servicial , y tienes garantía para una gran velada. También el hecho de que están abiertos el domingo por la noche fue para, nosotros los belgas un gran descubrimiento. El restaurante en sí está conceptualizado de una manera muy sabrosa con un toque muy acogedor. Un escenario perfecto para una cena romántica o una cena de amigos. .

We had the 3 course menu. The taste was great, but you should know that a lot of fat is used here, which is why we both had stomach aches afterwards. The service is friendly but I think the genuine warmth was missing. The atmosphere by candlelight is very romantic. Worth a visit.

What a fantastic place to be while visiting in Hamburg. Wonderful taste of unique dishes, cozy and quiet atmosohere and great service, topped with fine wine selection. Marinated halibut and poultry consomme were our absoulte best choices, but all other dishes were great as well. If you want to choose one restaurant for a dinner in Hamburg, choose this one!

It was quite tasty food with a nice interior that created a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, but I found that the Maultaschen tasted a bit strongly of ham or pork, otherwise everything was very good.

The light is so orange and dim that we can't see what we're eating. Besides, the tastes are mixed, lots of sweet and sour. We were served turbot to share, but with the skin and bones and especially with a spoon and fork to cut fish, it's really not ideal. (The photo is in the exact color of what we saw at the restaurant)

Wonderful restaurant with excellent wine & food. The house wine in particular was really excellent! I'm not usually a soup fan, but this was really good! The potato and pumpkin noodles were also very tasty. Higher prices but worth it! The ambience was awesome! Beautiful, the music wasn't too loud so you could still have a good conversation and it was very homely. We'd love to come back!

Sehr interessantes Ambiente mit gelb/Bernstein schimmerndem Licht. Mittagstisch mit frisch gekochtem, selbst hergestellten Gerichten wie Pannfisch mit Bratkartoffeln und Currywurst vom Durac Schwein mit Pommes und Salat. Beides äußerst lecker. Dessert gab es Apfelstrudel Kompott mit Vanilleeis und Sahne. Auch super lecker. Der Service hatte Zeit für uns für ein Gespräch und wir wurden auch sehr nett bedient.

Great place to have a dinner with a beautiful walk through the port area of a mesmerizing Hamburg city. Space - beautiful ambient with a high level of attention to details. Minimalistic yet sophisticated, loved it. Service - waiters and waitresses, so are the stuff of restaurant and hotel in general, maintain a good sense of attention to a guest, at the same time, without creating an atmosphere of overwhelming care, very pleasant experience. Food - it was a dinner for 2, had the good fortune to be accompanied by a person of great importance to me. As main course we ordered: -Wheels cheeks in red wine sause with rhubarb for me and -rabbit wrapped in bacon with white sauce and asparagus for the lady Wheels cheeks were just amazing by themselves, and that even without mentioning the level of flavor complexity added by the sause and especially rhubarb. Rabbit, from our standpoint, was a little dry and not to our liking. We ended up tasting the rabbit and sharing the wheels cheeks. Drinks - as the wine list is comprehensive and does not lack in wines variety we decided to ask a waitress for recommendations towards pairing for our courses of choice, so a sommelier joined us. Interaction was pleasant and joyful, after which the choices were done and wine arrived. No need to say - choice was excellent and matched the food perfectly. Wines are represented by producers exclusively from DACH region, which is a nice touch and a great addition to the general concept of the restaurant. Great job and afford from the sommelier team. Price - from my perspective, price correlates perfectly with the service, food, ambient and amount of though put into the place. Conclusion - I highly recommend the “Das Heimat” restaurant for a nice, cozy evening, filled with great experiences from food, personal and the establishment as a whole.

I went there alone and had the opportunity to sit with a view into the kitchen, which was interesting and entertaining at the same time. Service was great, attentive and gave good recommendations. The food was presented very nicely and tasted exceptionally, except for the desert, which was OK. In total I was very positively surprised.

Ecellent high cuisine. Wonerful fish: a Hamburg treat. A bit too expensive compared to German usual standards. Somewhat distant service. Soso interir design.

Unfortunately we were there 5 minutes before the kitchen break, but we were still served very friendly and even got warm dishes. The food (panfish, dumplings) was delicious and the service was very friendly. Next time we'll of course check the opening times beforehand!

I don't want to highlight the location and service either positively or negatively. That was fitting. I was surprised by the relatively good Obatzda. Very strange things are often served there. The white bean soup was very well balanced. The main course was also okay, although I always find fried chicken a bit borderline. Mushrooms and sauce were convincing. The desert wasn't my thing at all. Alcohol tasted very strong and the ice cream didn't offer much either. When I visited, Heimat offered a solid picture without being overly convincing.

Location und Service möchte ich weder positiv, noch negativ hervorheben. Das passte so. Überrascht war ich vom relativen guten Obatzda. Da bekommt ja doch oft sehr merkwürdiges serviert. Dir weiße Bohnensuppe war sehr gut abgestimmt. Auch die Hauptspeise war okay, wobei ich frittierte hendl immer etwas grenzwertig finde. Pilze und Soße wussten zu überzeugen. Das Desert war gar nicht meins. Sehr stark vorschmeckender Alkohol und auch das Eis bot wenig. Das Heimat bot bei meinem Besuch ein solides Bild, ohne übermäßig zu überzeugen.

I give 2 stars for food .. Not that it wasn't good... But the price for the mini portion is NOT worth it AT ALL. Main course beef goulash 18 euros... 5 pieces of goulash, 2 spoons of mashed potatoes... Now be honest... That doesn't fit! Cool, but the drinking water flat rate for 4 euros. And the best thing there... What a brilliant wet room. Never seen anything like it! It's worth going there for that 😊 Staff: nice and friendly!

A special highlight are the two 3-course menus to choose from including drinks. You end up with around €70 per person for a great evening.

We came in on a Sunday. After a friendly welcome we were shown to the table. We really liked the atmosphere. Stylish without appearing too overloaded. In terms of food, we opt for the veal rack and the pork chop, very tasty. Gladly again.

Just wow! I'm a business traveler and often travel around cities and since I was in the hotel here I thought I'd go and eat here. Now I'm here for the third time. I've had breakfast, evening and lunch here and am absolutely thrilled every time! I'm a bit special because I don't eat garlic or onions, which makes it complicated to cook for me. But here neither service was annoyed by the wishes, nor did the kitchen simply do anything but rather cooked incredibly well! Every time! Big thanks and a big recommendation for this great house!

Mein Besuch im Restaurant Heimat war ein rundum tolles Erlebnis. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf deutscher, österreichischer und schweizer Küche in moderner Zubereitung. Wir haben das Menü „herzstück“ für 2 Personen gewählt... jeder Gang war perfekt zubereitet und unglaublich lecker. Die Weinauswahl und -empfehlung passte hervorragend zu den Speisen. Besonders beeindruckt war ich von der freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Bedienung, die stets aufmerksam war und eine herzliche Atmosphäre schuf. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist stilvoll, eher dunkel, aber geschmackvoll und einladend. Alles in allem war es ein perfekter Abend und ich kann das Restaurant Heimat nur wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für dieses unvergessliche Erlebnis!

Toller Service, sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und locker. Das Essen war köstlich und die Atmosphäre ungezwungen, sodass man hier auch super nach einem Hamburg-Tag einkehren kann. Gern wieder!

Nice mittagessen menu. Before 18:00 theres a smaller menu, but very nice, fullfilling dishes. My pork chop was nice, and nicer the salad. I love the bread and the orange spread they offer. Nice spritz and very comfortable setting.

Just came in to enjoy the pollen free air-conditioning (top marks). The food was amazing! Didn't even go too much over budget (although I did stick to one drink). Totally worth it!

Service is great but the vibe is a bit too clubby and slick for what I had imagined "Heimat" would be like. Let's start with what was delicious - their bread is amazing as is the dessert I ordered (a chocolate mousse with marinated strawberries). Plus their wine by the glass program is terrific. I was underwhelmed by their wurst salad and their spinach ravioli. Unfortunately, they also have very limited and unappealing outside seating options - opposite the huge Hafen City construction site🫤

Nice, somewhat unusual restaurant. All guests are on first name terms. The food tastes great, but is expensive and the portions are unfortunately very small, at least when it comes to fish, which is why we won't be coming back. We had fish as a main course plus dessert and left hungry. Something urgently needs to be changed in the concept!

A very nice evening that I spent here. Service impeccable - friendly, attentive and personable. Very good, tasty food and a varied selection of drinks. I liked it very much. I will definitely come here again on my next visit to Hamburg. Price - performance top. Nice ambience. With a conveniently short walk to and from the Elbphilharmonie, it's also in a great location.

A great restaurant with a small but exquisite menu, very good wines, a great service team (very attentive, patient, all questions answered thoroughly). Moderate, cat table for individuals, slow service and small portion of fish. That's how it went. You pay for the location near the Landungsbrücken and Elbphilharmonie without really getting anything out of it here on the street.

Heimat is a great restaurant. Relaxed menu with few but good options. Special attention is paid here to seasonal dishes. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

Very pleasant hosts, because the aim here is to pamper the guests. The service is absolutely perfect, the ambience gives a positive atmosphere and even the washrooms are well thought out. The food is a real treat and the selection of drinks rounds off a successful evening. The acoustics are optimal and allow for good conversations. Wir waren sehr begeistert von der Spontanität, Freundlichkeit und dem guten Service und das leckere Essen, so dass wir direkt für den nächsten Abend auch reserviert haben, um die Speisekarte besser kennenzulernen. Wir sind auf jeden Fall ein Fan geworden und freuen uns auf das nächste mal Heimat.

Dinner at Heimat was the best meal I had during my week-long trip. From start to finish, the food was incredible. I started off with a flavorful pickled vegetable dish in asparagus cream sauce. I ordered pan fried fish which was well prepared and was accompanied by a huge portion of potatoes. I was already full but could not resist trying the elderberry and mint granita which was refreshing and a nice way to end the meal. The meal came with delicious fresh bread and herb butter. Service was outstanding—a combination of warmth and professionalism. Overall, a meal at Heimat is highly recommended.

That's exactly how I imagine gastronomy. Craziness! The staff: perfect. The food: a dream! The ambience: incredibly harmonious. The asparagus soup was an absolute dream, the bread was still warm and probably the best thing I've ever eaten. If I could give more stars, I would.
