Wir waren im Rahmen des Hamburger Schlemmersommers im La Fee, wurden aber sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war gut, der Service war deutlich überfordert. Besonders verwundert hat uns das Verhalten des Chefs, der uns nach ihm vorgebrachter Kritik am Service de facto des Lokals verwies. Schade um das gemütlich eingerichtete und gutes Essen präsentierende Restaurant.

Very tasty food that also flatters the eye combined with good service

The food was outstanding, all ingredients cooked to perfection and artfully arranged on the plate. The drinks were perfect. The service would have earned 5 stars if it had been more attentive; my companion would have liked one or two more glasses. Furthermore, the food was only "explained" upon request; the waitress was somewhat absent. The chef introduced himself that evening; his skill and friendliness alone deserve several stars. I imagine the ambiance would be difficult if every table was occupied; the room is tiny.

As always, it's a pleasure to eat here. Each course is a work of art in its own right!

Wonderful restaurant that we discovered by accident. Modern high cuisine yet still German influenced, perfect service, friendly hosts. The Hamer und Kaninchen appetizer was as tasty and interesting as the beet- horseradish appetizer. Also great Aperol spritz and white wines from France and Germany. We spoke German, French, English with the hostess. We were too full to order dessert unfortunately. Thank you for a perfect dinner. La Fee is a gem to be discovered.

My boyfriend and I booked a table for a Wednesday evening through "the hidden table" and opted for the 6-course menu. We were thoroughly impressed by all of the dishes. We really liked the fact that you could choose between two main courses. The service was also very good. Unfortunately, we were the only ones there that evening, so it was a bit empty and not as cozy as we had hoped. However, I have to say that the staff tried their best to make the most of it! At the end of the evening, we were very full and happy to have chosen this restaurant. We would definitely recommend it if you want a fine dining experience that offers good value for money. I would only recommend going on a Friday or Saturday.

A completely perfect evening at La Fee! My partner and I had the "Klewi's Menu" – each course was a culinary masterpiece, creatively prepared and perfectly prepared. Particularly impressive was the fact that owner and head chef Klewinghaus repeatedly visited our table personally. He was warm, witty, and incredibly personable. This personal touch made the already fantastic experience even more special. Highly recommended!

It is a great pleasure and an experience to enjoy hospitality at its finest. In the family business, the landlord personally conjures up spectacular quality dishes in his kitchen, although convenience foods are banned. Only fresh products are used and each dish as well as the small greetings from the kitchen between the individual courses are delicate compositions for the palate and the eye. The woman's wife does with one. extra strength in the service, where she exudes absolute calm at the table even in the most stressful times and seems to have all the time in the world. Beautiful but clear wine list with knowledge and joy of wine. The Cremant rosé is a stunner! We will definitely be back here on our next visit to Hamburg!

Insanely good food, really well prepared and, above all, super tasty. The service was also really good. We had the 6-course menu and absolutely loved it. The wine list is small, but convinces with a good selection and more than fair prices. Overall, an absolute recommendation. We had a really good evening here!

Wir sind mehr mehr oder minder durch Zufall in das La Fee gegangen. Wie die Winde des Schicksals manchmal wehen. Das Essen (6 Gänge Menu) war ausgezeichnet. Alle Gänge hatten ihren Charme, der Hauptgang (Rinderbacke) und das Dessert (Erdbeergedöns, siehe Bild) stachen allerdings heraus. Die Weinbegleitung war exzellent und passte zu den jeweiligen Gängen. Obendrauf der ausgezeichnete Service, von der freundlichen Dame des Hauses über einen Mitarbeiter, der Brad Pitt verdächtig ähnlich sah, bis zum Koch selber, mit dem wir über Desserts und das bergische Land redeten. Es war ein rundherum gelungener Abend. Nach 3.5 Stunden verließen wir satt und ein wenig beschwipst das Restaurant mit der festen Absicht, noch einmal wieder zu kommen.

We went to La Fee more or less by chance. How the winds of fate sometimes blow. The food (6 course menu) was excellent. All courses had their charm, but the main course (beef cheek) and the dessert (strawberry donuts) stood out. The wine pairing was excellent and went well with the respective courses. On top of that, the excellent service, from the friendly lady of the house to an employee who looked suspiciously like Brad Pitt to the chef himself, with whom we talked about desserts and the Bergisches Land. It was a successful evening all around. After 3.5 hours we left the restaurant full and a little tipsy with the firm intention of coming back again.

The “Hamburg Culinary Spring Menu” offered a creative selection of seasonal dishes. Highlights were the fresh fish ragout, the pulpo baguette and the lobster minestrone. The main meat course was impressive in terms of quality and preparation. The dessert rounded off the menu successfully. Overall, a recommendable culinary experience with a fair price-performance ratio.

Food was good, service was unfriendly and we waited so long on our food. Also the wine pairing is just 3 little glasses of wine and we got them after the food sometimes arrived. The restaurant was full, so I get that things can take time, but then give me at least the wine!

A culinary journey with exceptional hosts We regularly visit Hamburg and are staying in Uhlenhorst. During a short, spontaneous stroll after arriving today, we discovered La Fée quite by chance and were later able to spontaneously reserve a table for the evening – an absolute stroke of luck! We dined à la carte and were thoroughly spoiled with both the selected dishes and drinks, as well as the sophisticated and delicious specialties from the kitchen after each course. The two friendly hosts are passionate about their impressive gem and demonstrate this in their exceptional attention to detail, not only in every single dish but also in their selection of the highest quality ingredients. This culinary journey was a pure delight for the palate and a fantastic taste experience, leaving nothing to be desired. We would love to come back!

I'm in Hamburg for work, nice looking restaurant, normal service, for me the food a little overrated for the price, I spent 50 euros for one course and 1 water, it seems excessive for the quality of the food... I recommend raising the quality of the food otherwise lower the prices... it's a shame because the restaurant is nice and warm.

Wir hatten das Menü über "Hamburg kulinarisch" gewählt - Essen geschmacklich sehr gut und sehr schön präsentiert. Für vier Personen gibt es schöne große Tische - zu zweit würde man eher dicht beieinander sitzen und dicht zum Nachbartisch sein. Ansonsten schöne Atmosphäre - ruhige Musik und sehr gut, um sich zu unterhalten. Kleine Abzüge für die Chefin des Hauses - leider nicht besonders emphatisch und zugewandt.

It was really a fantastic experience. I had the vegetarian six-course menu and my girlfriend had the seven-course menu with fish. We spent a total of over 5 hours in this store and didn't notice how quickly the time went by. The ambience, the clientele, the food and the staff are all so consistent and make it a lovely experience. The food was A1. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Anyone who likes fine dining is in good hands here. We'll definitely be back!

On New Year's Eve, I had one of the best moments of 2024: the New Year's Eve menu at La Fee. Outstanding service, sensational food (including caviar in a Faberge egg), and an absolutely pleasant ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high-quality, enjoyable evening. An absolute must for those with culinary ambitions.

I was there with my wife for New Year's Eve. We not only had an exceptionally delicious, top-notch menu, but also a wonderful evening that will remain in our memories forever.

Absolute disappointment! First, the positive: The young, very friendly, and attentive waiter. We had reserved the New Year's Eve menu. One was the regular one for 165 euros and the other was the vegetarian one for 130 euros. The owner didn't greet us at first, left us standing at the door, and then greeted us a few minutes later with the words: "You're going a long way from the restaurant with those rockets (we were carrying two wish rockets that we wanted to launch onto the Alster for our deceased family members)." The meal began with the owner's question: "Are you really a vegetarian, or just because it sounds so nice?" A complete no-go! The first two courses of the menu took almost two hours to arrive. That took away any appetite for the others. Then I was given a completely raw rabbit loin fillet. I complained about this. A replacement was supposed to be provided immediately. It didn't arrive, but the next courses did. The finished dishes were collected and placed on a free table, some of which weren't brought to the guests until 15 minutes later. Although only two menus were offered that evening, the staff didn't know what they were serving. One course was presented simply by reading from the menu. My friend was served a course that was supposed to be vegetarian. Five minutes after the course was served, the owner asked, "Was there meat in that? I have no idea what he's cooking today, but I'm holding your vegetarian dish." The evening dragged on for almost four hours. Unfortunately, the food was only okay. For a menu in this price range, I expect a different standard. I can only advise against this restaurant! We wanted a nice end to the year and were immensely disappointed. Edit: I already mentioned my complaints to the owner on site. I find it more than outrageous and dishonest that she responded to the review by saying she had a completely different experience of the evening, and I see it as reason to deduct another star. When I pointed out at the time of payment that I had never received a replacement for the rabbit loin fillet, the owner simply replied with: "What can I say? The chef just thought it was the right thing to do." I never received my dish back, nor the replacement promised by the service.

They had never experienced such a well-coordinated menu. We have known each other for many decades now. We had the New Year's Eve menu and were unfortunately very disappointed. The evening began with a cool reception. The staff seemed overwhelmed and absent-minded, and the first two courses took a full two hours to arrive. Especially with a set menu, and especially when there's only one available that day, I expect the staff to know what they're serving and to be able to comment on it. Unfortunately, we didn't like it, but that's a matter of taste, of course. For €165, you'd expect a better overall package and particularly friendly staff. As a small note for the future, caviar is not vegetarian and therefore has no place on a vegetarian menu.

Wir hatten mit vier Personen das 7-Gang Menü und zwar zweimal mit Hirschrücken als Hauptgericht, einmal mit Ente und einmal mit Seesaibling. Sämtliche Gänge wurden erklärt, waren super dekorativ angerichtet und wirklich lecker, die Servicekräfte locker, nett und flink. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Davon abgesehen war mit Hunderten von Weihnachtskugeln sehr hübsch dekoriert.

Went there for my wife's birthday dinner. Ordered the 6-course menu with saddle of venison as the main course. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The chef was really likeable and always had a joke or a saying on his lips. 5 stars for that alone! In addition, the food came to the table quickly and we didn't have to wait long. The atmosphere is very cozy and very lovingly decorated (currently in the Christmas theme). We were happy to pay around €170 for an evening for two. Small criticisms would be that, although we stated it when making the reservation, the birthday itself was forgotten and that the waitress seemed a bit cold for our taste. All in all, it is highly recommended! Thank you for the lovely evening!

5 stars are not enough to rate the evening at La Fee. Great food with very good wines. Special requests were implemented excellently or explained if the request could not be fulfilled. The boss, who is also the chef, took the time to have a funny chat at the tables every now and then. We will definitely come back, even if it means a 230 km journey from us.

Inconspicuous from the outside and simply gorgeous from the inside. With so much attention to detail. The service is simply perfect. The food... I'm at a loss for words. EVERYTHING was a taste explosion. A pleasure for the senses. For the eye and for the palate. Being able to eat there was a little vacation from everyday life. I'll be back.

I went to La Fee with my parents for the traditional St. Martin's Day goose dinner. The ambiance was lovely and conjured up a real Christmas feeling. A delicious hors d'oeuvre was served before the main course. The main course, the goose, was perfect. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy, perfectly complemented by red cabbage and dumplings. I really liked the extra sauce. For dessert, we had a crème brûlée, which rounded off the evening perfectly.

We stayed at La Fee for my mother's 75th birthday and I honestly have to say it was the worst service I have ever experienced! The food was OK. Not a culinary revival, but solid. However, the lady of the house was simply impossible. It seemed like her mere presence was an imposition on her as a guest. I've never seen anyone express their bad mood so clearly. The second waiter was nice, but seemed afraid of her. The chef came three times and each time made a vaguely funny joke. After the 2 starters were processed in the first 20 minutes, we had to wait 1.5 hours for the main course with only one intermediate course the size of a praline. Wine was not served for 1.5 hours. When my mother (the birthday girl!) asked if we could have a glass of wine every now and then, the response was completely unnerving. Apart from that, apart from one other guest, no one from the service congratulated my mother, even though we were clearly recognizable as a birthday party with gifts and huge balloons. Everything is just completely wrong!!! I would never visit La Fee again and would never recommend it to anyone!!!

I celebrated my 75th birthday there. We liked the menu and the ambience. We didn't like the rude service. The waiting time for the main course was also considerably too long at more than an hour.

Die Darbietung der Speisen ist durchaus interessant und ansprechend; geschmacklich und qualitativ gut. Der Gastgeber: Aufmerksam und freundlich, man merkt dem eloquenten Herrn an, dass er Spaß an seiner Tätigkeit hat. Unsere weibliche Bedienung hat spürbar leider nicht so viel Freude daran, das schmälerte unseren Spaß an diesem "Speise-Event". Im Rahmen des "Rindchen Menüs" war der Preis o.k.

The food can easily compete with other star restaurants and is relatively inexpensive. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We only discovered the restaurant by chance, but we would love to come back.

It was our first visit to La Fee. Our attention was drawn to a beef menu that sounded very interesting to us. We really liked the funny greeting from the two “Klewis”. But then. The menu. My God. Just the way each individual course was prepared. So loving, so in love with detail. We almost felt guilty about destroying these works of art (yes, they really are art!). But it doesn't help. We had to go through that. And we were surprised by the most wonderful taste explosions on our tongues. We couldn't stop raving about it. This continued throughout all courses at a very high level. A dream. In the end, I briefly considered not having an espresso. But the boss quickly talked us out of it. Fortunately. Because even the espresso is exceptionally good. And, of course, it is again very specially prepared (with a little extra delicacy included). We felt very comfortable with the Klewis because of their friendly and relaxed manner and in the cozy ambience of their restaurant and every single bite of the well-coordinated menu was a real treat. Also worth mentioning is the wine accompaniment, which was perfectly matched to each course. One thing is certain for us: we will definitely come here again and can highly recommend it.

La Fee wants to stand out from the norm with sophisticated and playful cuisine. You have to ask yourself whether you want it that way and whether you like it that way. At times it seems a bit exaggerated. The individual gears consist of many different and high-quality components. Sufficient time should be allowed for, as with many courses and greetings from the kitchen it can take more than two hours. So plan enough time before going to the theater. The service is friendly but seems a bit annoyed at times. In my opinion, the seating on the terrace was uncomfortable for a longer stay. The interior looks cozy but a bit plush.

Simply a 10/10. The two of us were there for the gourmet summer menu. All dishes were prepared elaborately and with a lot of love. The individual ingredients were perfectly coordinated with each other. Great ambience and very attentive service. Even the cook came to the table every now and then and chatted with us. We felt completely comfortable and spent a wonderful summer evening on the terrace.

The gourmet summer was great, the courses were so imaginatively prepared that it was almost a shame to eat them. Every course was absolutely delicious and special. The restaurant was cozy, there was quiet music in the background, we had a really nice evening.

We only come here once a year because we live too far away, but it's always a highlight! Great creative cuisine, served as works of art on the plate, great service and the boss is nice too 😉

Schon seit vielen Jahren nutzen wir die Möglichkeiten des Hamburger Schlemmersommers. Dies war mit Abstand das beste Schlemmersommer-Menue. das wir je genossen haben.

Four of us had dinner there on Saturday evening. The lady of the house was very unfriendly and should let other people work in the service at the age when you no longer enjoy working. The veal tartare we ordered should better be called potato tartare, because there was little to see or taste of the veal tartare, as the potatoes dominated the taste. Since I wanted the fried potatoes to be crispy with the Wienerschnitzel, they were unfortunately made crispy in the deep fryer instead of in the pan. Unfortunately, the bacon was also missing from the fried potatoes. The service couldn't handle the criticism at all, let alone respond to it adequately. The price for 2 starters and 2 main courses as well as 2x 0.2 l glass of wine, 1 bottle of still water and a Martini Bianco was just under € 170.00. So we paid a hefty price for poor service, adequate food and a seat right next to the counter. All 4 of us were not satisfied and cannot recommend the restaurant and the food to other interested parties at this price-performance ratio. You don't have to have it!

Went there with 6 people and treated ourselves to the menu. A culinary perfect evening. Great food and great, attentive hosts. Eating out here is not just about eating food but rather a culinary event. However, it's not exactly cheap either. Thank you.

A wonderful evening with a great menu. Completely inconspicuous from the outside, La Fee was a culinary surprise for us. The five-course summer menu was so lovingly, so well coordinated. The price-performance ratio for five courses and 44.50 per person is extremely hospitable considering the effort and the elaborate way of preparing the food. And when the boss comes by twice and you really feel noticed as a guest, that's just a great deal. And something I never do, I even took a photo of the dessert. Dear La Fee team, we would love to come back.

The food was decorated and decorated with a lot of effort. Unfortunately, the cookies and many other decorations were soggy. Seemed like it had been prepared and stood around for a long time. Bones in the fish, topped by a fish scale in the food. Cobwebs on the ceiling. 2 stars because at least you got enough for just under 80€pp. We will not visit La Fee again

We had the anniversary menu with the Rindchen wine accompaniment. It was awesome! It was our first time at La Fée but definitely not the last time. We recommend.

Was refused to be in. Very rude attitude lady servant, wasn’t explaining any reason why we were not allowed to be in, despite only two tables were occupied. 10 minutes later we found a couple of local people got in after reading the menu for 2 mins in front of the door. I don’t believe they have reserved a table but they were treated differently.

Absolutely remarkable restaurant with fantastic food and first class service. We became aware of this lovingly furnished restaurant over the gourmet summer and “arrived” with very high expectations, which were fully met. The food was fantastically prepared, very varied and we enjoyed it fantastically. The wine pairing was on point. Highly recommended.

An einem Samstag Abend genossen wir das Schlemmersommer Menü im ‚LaFee‘. Von der Begrüssung bis zum unaufdringlichen aber aufmerksamen Service war dieser Abend ein Hochgenuss. Das geschmacklich gut abgestimmte Menü machte diesen Abend perfekt.

That was a great gourmet summer evening with a treat for the eyes and the palate.

Amazing. We visited Hamburg for a few nights. I wish we'd found this restaurant sooner.
