I spontaneously went to eat there because the restaurant is in the sun at lunchtime. It was super tasty and very reasonably priced! Fast and nice service I'll come back here :)

We celebrated our son's confirmation at the Gasthaus zur Post – and it was a complete success. The pre-arranged menu was not only excellently prepared, but the appetizers were even spontaneously adjusted on the day of the celebration – so everyone could try everything. The food was consistently delicious, top-quality, and lovingly prepared. The service? Absolutely attentive, friendly, and professional – yet always warm and welcoming. You immediately feel at home at the Gasthaus zur Post. The entire team exudes genuine hospitality – exactly what you want for a family celebration. Thank you so much for this special day – we'd love to come back!

Reached the location and started searching for the entry as it wasnt visable. Apparently the placebisnin the lower level of the street meaning you go down from a small stairway and then enter. Atmosphere is very romantic, Lantil soup, interesting and surprising seasoning . Waited to get sweet tastes and received spicy yet miled. Red Bass, 3 pieces on potatoes and steamed spinach with white gravy surrounding it. Very delicate and very nice representation. Portion size was sufficient. Value for money, over priced. Viel schnitzel , tender meat well prepared. Small bowl of potato salad and one cucumber salad. Portion size sufficient. We were here on April 12th, 2024 to celebrate our wedding, we celebrated with about 60 people. It was beautiful and we were very happy with everything. The owner Arne Meyer spoke to us several times and always had an open ear. We were also able to adjust the schedule on site at short notice to suit the celebration. We had the best day of our lives here and hope that many more celebrations will take place here. P.S. The food was very good and there was something for everyone. We booked a buffet. Wir hatten das Menü über "Hamburg kulinarisch" gewählt - Essen geschmacklich sehr gut und sehr schön präsentiert. Für vier Personen gibt es schöne große Tische - zu zweit würde man eher dicht beieinander sitzen und dicht zum Nachbartisch sein. Ansonsten schöne Atmosphäre - ruhige Musik und sehr gut, um sich zu unterhalten. Kleine Abzüge für die Chefin des Hauses - leider nicht besonders emphatisch und zugewandt.

The decor is shocking and doesn't match the delicious food. You can do wonders with a pot of paint. The benches and tables urgently need to be disposed of. We now understand why there are no authentic photos. For us, the ambience is part of the enjoyment.

We really liked the summer menu, big compliments to the chef in the kitchen!

Excelente comida y servicio. Ok es £ 80 por cabeza con vino, pero la calidad era de primera categoría. Pollo Veloute era fantástico para el sabor al igual que Veal Entrecôte y Cordon Bleu de cerdo. Pudín era manzana verde en jugo de flor de saúco con helado de manzana. delicioso. En general muy agradable. Puede recomendar.

Laufauf is a famous german recipe commonly known as casserole in english or one pot baked food. Mainly the base is potato and then spinach,meat etc is added. The restaurant is located in central Hamburg and easy to get places. They have seasonal recipes like Spargel season. We enjoyed the food.

Absolutely delicious food. A cute little shop, but it's very, very cramped. When you get up, you sometimes have to move all the tables around, otherwise you can't get out. Service is relatively friendly. What I would like to point out, however, is that I absolutely don't like the fact that the "chef" is constantly smoking right in front of the shop. It makes a very unprofessional and unpleasant impression.
