The highlight, of course, is the phenomenal view of Würzburg. We sat on the self-service terrace. As long as there isn't a large group waiting to order ahead of you at the self-service counter, everything goes relatively quickly. Since we only had French fries and beer, we can't really judge the food, but everything was fine for us.
We went here today for Mother's Day, like many others 😊, with my mother-in-law.
We were seated after they somehow managed to find our reservation.
We were given the menus and then sat there for ages, waiting for about 20 minutes, before we were finally allowed to order.
My starter came before the drinks 🤔. There was bruschetta, which was okay. However, for me, it's customary for Italian cuisine that oil and vinegar are always at the table, and when I asked, they were there. Drinks weren't chilled, the beer was, but my rhubarb spritzer was warm.
Ordering more drinks turned out to be a challenge. The staff wandered through the aisles, completely inattentive, overwhelmed, and completely inefficient. The service was a solid 6.
The food was so-so; the pizza arrived much too cold, some of the mozzarella wasn't melted properly, the base was very thick, and the taste was okay.
We skipped dessert, and weren't asked if we wanted an espresso or coffee after our meal. As I said, the staff were hopelessly overwhelmed and disorganized.
We also waited forever for the bill.
At the neighboring table, a chair was simply removed to block a door, without asking the guests at that table if anyone else might be joining them. Importantly, there were unoccupied tables with chairs, but they took one from an occupied table 🙄🙈
The staff also didn't even notice that guests had sat down and left without placing an order because it took too long.
Simply awful.
The location itself by the pond is really great; they probably rely on it and have a full house for that reason alone, but the service and food aren't worth going there.
Too bad.
After I saw this restaurant on my local, your local, I really wanted to visit it. We were on business and wanted to enjoy our Christmas vultures here.
Unfortunately, this was a complete disaster. Neither on the Internet nor when making the reservation was it mentioned that the entire menu would NOT be available. Unfortunately, the dishes on the shortened menu weren't really a hit. And for us vegans, unfortunately there was only one salad on the menu. After we asked if they could make us something vegan, we received the dish shown in the picture. Unfortunately it wasn't really tasty and for 17 euros it's just a rip-off. Unfortunately, my colleagues weren't thrilled with the food either + everyone received a completely different portion size for the same dishes??? Service? Out of place! Completely unfriendly as soon as you entered the restaurant. Drinks were only consumed after half an hour, but unfortunately they arrived without carbonation. The service was very rude and often complained to us. Every now and then she was friendly when she realized that she was behaving completely wrong. Thank you so much for ruining a Christmas party! Never again brother heart - food doesn't taste good + no service available + exorbitant prices!!! How can you survive in today's situation?
Met a colleague again after a long time at Dali in Nabburg. We only had something to drink, so I can't say anything about the food (yet). Nice ambience, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and volume on this day. Would love to come back.
Absolutely outstanding!
We were very lucky to get a seat in this fantastic restaurant even without a reservation - and that in itself is not a given. A huge thank you to the chef, who not only works at the highest culinary level, but also made this evening possible for us with his flexibility and hospitality.
Every dish was a masterpiece - prepared with love, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. You immediately feel that someone with real passion and skill is at work here.
Thank you very much for this special evening – we will definitely be back (this time with a reservation!).
We were here in the afternoon on a spring weekday (lots of spots available). It is a very nice beer garden with plenty of seating including a large children's playground (also for older children). There is a wide range of vegetarian and normal dishes. The rösti with grilled vegetables and the salad plate were great. Mushrooms and goulash also looked very good at the next table. Everything is reasonably priced and, above all, not the usual fast food selection. I especially have to praise the very friendly staff at the food counter and at the checkout - really great!
