Good food, good beer and a beautiful courtyard.

Lichtenburg...ein Ausflug wert, wenn man den ganzen Weg gewandert ist kann man in der Gaststätte einkehren ( Dienstag Ruhetag). Für einen kleinen Obulus bekommt man den Turmschlüssel ausgehändigt und kann die ca.100 Holzstufen nach oben erklimmen und wird mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick belohnt.

Very friendly service and the food is also very tasty

I was for lunch. The beer and roast pork were excellent, the service was quick and the portions were large - just the right thing for me on the bike tour.

Perfect location and staff are so kind and attentive. It is perfect for my family with 2 little children. Try their restaurant downstairs for dinner. The food and service are fantastic.

Easter Monday, a public holiday and definitely stressful for the service. Despite everything, the service was very attentive. Only deducted because we didn't have much time to "study" the map. The selection of dishes is a little too “clear”, otherwise everything is good to very good.

This was my third time at Rheingold in Augsburg this year and it remains my favorite stop when traveling from Dortmund to Augsburg or Munich. The service is always outstanding, the staff is very friendly, attentive and makes you immediately feel at home and want to come back again and again. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a pleasant break. I particularly appreciate the fair prices, which are simply convincing in combination with the high quality of the food and drinks. I can only warmly recommend the Rheingold and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Cozy inn with a beautiful, green, shady guest garden. It's easy to find and get to. The selection of food is just right and there are lots of beers to try. I had a pancake soup that wasn't seasoned enough for my taste, the main course was roast pork with an extra side of sauerkraut, which was very good, and as a sweet finish I had the apple strudel with vanilla sauce, which I can recommend. If you are nearby, feel free to pay a visit.

Nice historical place. The food is OK. The service is quick and friendly. The beer was very tasty. However, the acoustics could be improved. Which is probably due to the old walls. The beer garden is very cozy. The children also get their money's worth with the beautiful play tower. I really enjoy going there with my family.

Das Lokal war nicht übermäßig stark besucht. Umso entäuschender war dann die Leistung der Küche: Pommes die noch eine Minute gebraucht hätten, Serviettenknödel die nicht richtig heiß waren und ist es hier normal dass das Gemüse auf dem Flammkuchen mit Lachs roh und damit kalt ist ? Das eine Servicemitarbeiterin nicht in der Lage war auf unsere Bitte hin das Fenster zu schließen war nur der passende Abschluss: kalte Zugluft zu kaltem Essen. Zwei Punkte gibt es weil das Serviettenknödel geschmacklich gut war und auch die Schnitzel echt ok waren

A beautifully and quietly located inn with views over forests, fields, and meadows to the Alps. The staff are friendly, warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the cakes are so delicious! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
