The hotel room we had was as small as a chicken coop and way too hot, smell of the hotel kitchen, could not sleep because of the smell and heat, so small room, they have a fan and the buzzing sound was annoying, staff are not friendly, will never go to that hotel again, location within the city unfortunately bad

We wanted to eat something at the restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was cold and the meat was dry. I wanted to return it after one bite, but that was a problem. I had ordered it, so I had to pay for it, according to the manager. I paid and left.

A lovely restaurant to stop by. The soups are highly recommended! Attentive service!

Hotel Ludwig is centrally located, and you can walk directly into the city center from the hotel. Nevertheless, it's pleasantly quiet, and sleep is easy. The breakfast is very generous and plentiful. The only problem is the limited parking space, which is located in the inner courtyard. However, it also has its advantages, as you can reach your car very quickly and it's definitely safe. The interior is very detailed and interestingly designed, so you definitely feel at home and enjoy the wonderful ambiance. All in all, I can only say that we felt very comfortable and would visit this hotel again anytime.

Rented a parking space for €9.50 per day. Arrived at the hotel around 11 p.m. after an event. All spaces were taken, including the garage. Parking at the hotel's public parking spaces was very difficult. I'm curious if I'll get my fee back. The fee was refunded without any problems. On the second day, the parking space worked. Upon departure, the parking issue was addressed again, and they apologized again. You couldn't expect more. Breakfast is very good 😃 Wide selection and delicious bread/rolls.

Seldom do I leave such a bad review, but room nr 31 was simply terrible. On the 3rd floor without a lift and with a narrow staircase, hard to climb with a lot of luggage. You c'd hear footsteps and ceiling creaking from the room above. This room is really a small single size, but used as a double. There is a large, very uncomfortable bed taking the entire tiny space so it's literally impossible to move around the room and leaving absolutely no space for luggage and personal belongins to unpack. Wall chandeliers and the only chair are in the way and the TV hangs on the wrong side of the wall - you can't watch it. The worst was the heat, constant noise and poor quality mattresses. There was no aircon and with only 1 small window closed (facing the main boulevard, loud 24 hrs) the room was hot and stuffy, whereas with the window open it was way too loud and food-smelly from the restaurant downstairs, and there was a church ringing a few times per hour all day and night. The fan placed in the room was only an obstacle in the way so we had to put it inside the wardrobe. The mattress was way too soft - I weigh 60kg so the mattresses shouldn't sink under my body, but it did and it felt like sleeping in a hammock - I kept waking up trying to find  more even space in vain. The toilet brush and the radiator by the toilet were filthy disgusting. The only light switch in the bathroom activated a loud, automatic humidity extractor every time you switched the light on and the noise stayed for about 15 min each time. As for the positives - the restaurant serves decent meals and we were surprised to find our room tidied up by staff right after the 1st night of our stay.

A wonderful, cozy, and quietly located hotel in the old town of Füssen. Parking is available for a fee in the courtyard behind. The restaurant serves traditional German cuisine. Very nice rooms. A rich, beautifully presented breakfast is available for an extra charge—not included in the room rate. Tourist tax is collected on-site. We booked it for one night because we were watching a musical at the Festspielhaus. We'll definitely come back—highly recommended. The old town has a lovely pedestrian zone and some good restaurants.

Great accommodation, friendly staff and excellent service

In pieno centro storico si trova questo locale, dove ho cenato per due volte. Staff simpatico e molto cordiale. La prima sera ho provato la Kartoffelrahmsuppe, cioè una zuppa con salsiccia e pancetta. Feedback: discreta. Ottimi i ravioli biologici della seconda serata (con salsa di pomodoro): super consigliati. Consiglio di provare i dolci che hanno: Marillenknoedel e APFELKÜCHLE. Sono rimasto abbastanza soddisfatto e lo consiglio!

Cena discreta, piatti molto ricchi ma con preparati di diversa qualità, ad esempio lo stinco era molto saporito ma la polpetta di pane e quella di patate molto molto meno. Nel pollo la patata al cartoccio era accompagnata da una squisita salsa alla panna acida, ma la cottura era un po' indietro, molto buona la bistecca tipo bismarck. Cordiale e disponibile il cameriere che ci ha seguito che parlava anche un ottimo italiano. Buona come sempre la birra

Excellent communication with the hotel, helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent, probably everything you can think of. We recommend buying more! The room was a bit cramped for 4 people, but sufficient for sleeping and relaxing. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Not bad, but not quite the traditional Bavarian taste We had dinner at Ludwig’s Restaurant in Füssen — the location is great and service was polite, but the food didn’t fully live up to expectations if you're looking for authentic Bavarian cuisine. I ordered the schnitzel, which was okay in flavor but came in a rounded shape, not the traditional thin, pan-fried style you'd expect. It also didn’t come with a proper Kartoffelsalat (potato salad) — which felt like a missed touch. We also tried the Schweinebraten, which was tender but lacked the rich flavor and crispy crust you'd hope for. The dish felt a bit flat, like it had been made for tourists rather than locals. Not a bad spot if you're in the area, but if you’re after truly traditional southern German food, there are probably more authentic options nearby

We went their today about 7pm we sit outside and order 2 potato creamy soups and potato pocket , they brought us lentil soup instead & when we ask the short waiter he reply very rudely if you don’t like you can go !!! also they brought us the potato pocket without serving forks & knifes so we went inside & get it . After we pay & walk away the same rude waiter was cleaning our table & he curses loudly with bad words!!! Very racist & rude attitude

We drank a beer on the terrace. What a disappointment. The beer was lukewarm. And pay special attention to the bill. In our case, the bill was more than we had drunk. I had to argue quite a bit to avoid paying too much. Lukewarm beer at twice the price is not what you expect on a terrace.

If you visit the beautiful village of Fussen in the Bavarian Alps and want to try authentic Bavarian cuisine, you must visit this very beautiful restaurant. The food is excellent and served in large, hearty portions. The desserts they serve are also excellent. Finally, the service is fast and efficient and the prices are very reasonable.

A rude and arrogant young man was at the reception on our arrival day. It was a completely exceptional experience in otherwise friendly Bavaria. Although the location is good and the breakfast excellent, one time at this hotel was enough.

Excellent value for money, especially for a hotel located right in the heart of Füssen’s Old Town. The reception staff were warm and very helpful throughout our stay. Keep in mind that there’s no elevator, so if you’re traveling with elderly family members or have mobility issues, it’s a good idea to request a room on a lower floor when booking. Parking at the hotel is reasonably priced, but spots are limited—be sure to reserve in advance if you’re arriving by car. Rooms don’t come with a kettle, but you can ask for one at reception. If none are available, the friendly staff at the restaurant next to the lobby are happy to provide hot water on request. All in all, a comfortable and convenient stay.

Tonight was our second visit in a row to this wonderful restaurant. The service was fantastic on both occasions and the staff were so great in answering any questions we had about the menu. The food was exceptional, quite large portions, but beautifully presented. We would recommend Ludwig’s to anyone who is visiting Fussen

Beautiful hotel in the central Reichenstraße of Füssen. I arrived after 7:00 pm and the person who received me in the hotel was very kind and helped me with parking the motorbike. We also ate in the excellent restaurant and were very satisfied. Highly recommended

We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were thrilled by the friendly service in the restaurant at lunch, which was very, very good! And also from the reception to the cleaning staff, completely satisfied and happy. The only downside was that our room was really small. But very clean! We were very satisfied and would like to come back for a two-night stay.

Sehr enttäuscht. Hatten die Schmankerlplatte. Das Fleisch [Hänchen,Haxe,Sparerips und Spanferkel] war total trocken und hat aufgewärmt geschmeckt. Ich habe das Essen zurückgegeben. Leider war der Chef nicht kritikfähig und meinte es sei alles okay gewesen. Schade das man einen Fehler nicht eingestehen kann. Werden das Lokal nicht wieder besuchen und nicht weiterempfehlen.

Perfect location and staff are so kind and attentive. It is perfect for my family with 2 little children. Try their restaurant downstairs for dinner. The food and service are fantastic.

A friendly welcome, a clean and nicely furnished room. The location in the pedestrian zone is fine for one night, and the smell of the kitchen wafting up to the room in the evening is bearable. However, I wouldn't spend a longer stay here. The shower has a somewhat unusual temperature control, which switches to a healthy alternating bath, with the water suddenly changing from pleasantly warm to very cold. On the other hand, the breakfast was very good and, at €12.50 (normally €16.50), pleasantly affordable for hotel guests. A real plus point for this hotel.

Right in the old town, very convenient for eating or shopping. Close to Marienbridge or Neuschwanstein Castle. It is a quiet and beautiful small town. The parking lot is behind the hotel, which is a plus for those who drive.

Only about the restaurant: the service is great, however, the food is frozen fries, frozen nuggets, frozen breaded fish, and powdered sauce. It's a shame.

I spent one night there in January. The room was fine, with two beds, even though I was alone. It was quiet and decorated in a classic style. The bathroom was clean and also in good condition. However, the table was too small, making it difficult to work with a laptop. The room was good value for money. Parking is available but not included in the price and costs €9.50 per night. The breakfast was good and plentiful, with bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, pastries and fruit. However, it will be charged additionally. There is also a restaurant in the hotel for dinner, but I personally wasn't impressed with the value for money.

We stayed here for a short trip over the weekend and loved it! We had booked the deluxe shared room. Impeccable service, comfortable and clean hotel room, modern furniture and a delicious, rich breakfast buffet! 😊 There were even small, high-quality care products available for us in the bathroom. We stayed at the hotel and also we got dinner at their restaurant. Hotel: the room was quite spacious, clean and soundproof. All the main amenities were there with the exception of a fridge and an electric kettle. The bed was made out of two single beds next to each other. The private parking was good and easy to reach from the backstreet following the hotel’s instructions. The breakfast, at the cost of € 12,50 per person was served with a wide range and was of good quality. Restaurant: the food was excellent and abundant, service was quite good as all the staff was polite. The only downside is the water that is pretty expensive. We would like to come back here again.

The rooms correspond to this price range and are fully equipped. Unfortunately there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow. But there are security issues: I checked in on January 6th. When I was showering at seven in the evening, the smoke alarm in the room suddenly went off and I was shocked. I went outside and found that the entire building had alarms going off for twenty minutes. An employee brought a boiling kettle from the kitchen and firefighters arrived. But no one explained to me what happened until I checked out the next day. I asked the lady at the front desk and she didn't know anything about it and claimed that it happens a lot here. Additionally, I asked the front desk if the lake was dry as stated online and she assured us that it was full. But we wasted a morning and still only saw the dry lake.

There are many delicious restaurants nearby. The rooms are very large. Even if there are four of you, for example, you usually get a five-person room.

Rooms are nice for a smaller town and in a nice walkable area. Front desk hours are limited so be sure to arrive within the stated timeframe. Staff spoke some english so that really helped!

What was particularly impressive was that on such a busy evening as New Year's Eve, everything ran smoothly despite the large number of guests. The dishes came to the table quickly and in the best quality, without even a hint of rush. Everything was beautifully balanced and every bite was a delight. No wishes were left unfulfilled – simply a fantastic experience. We ate here and the cuisine was excellent. Even though the waiters were a bit lazy, we really enjoyed our time there. By the way, dogs are allowed here.

Ottimo ristorante, siamo rimasti tutti soddisfatti. 0 coda all'ingresso, servizio velocissimo e piatti davvero buoni e abbondanti, nessuno ha sentito l'esigenza di prendere un secondo piatto o il dolce. Buonissima la "lumberjack's steak", il più buono tra i piatti che abbiamo preso.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better—right in the city center, just a quick 3-5 minute walk, which made exploring so easy and convenient. The room was beautifully decorated, exactly as shown in the photos on the booking website, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond by giving me excellent recommendations for sightseeing and helped me make the most of my stay. They also introduced me to the Füssen Card, which allowed me to use public transport for free—a great bonus for getting around the city! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its perfect location, stylish rooms, and exceptional service. I would definitely stay here again!

Ein großes Plus ist die durchgehend geöffnete Küche mit regionalen Speisen. Es ist zwar keine Sterneküche, aber wir waren zufrieden und die reichlich bemessenen Portionen haben uns geschmeckt. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich.

I've been there for the second time now. Very clean room, super nice staff and a delicious breakfast with lots of choice. The restaurant is also recommended, it was one of the best Viennese style schnitzels I have ever eaten.

A few days ago we stayed in this accommodation for one night. We were accommodated in house 1 and I can only judge this. Positive: - very good location right on the town square - rich breakfast Negative: - very, very small room - some unfriendly staff - Hair in the bed! - Hair in the shower! - dirty room and bathroom - loud music in the stairwell - Hot breakfast items were cold The bed was then remade and the music could not be heard in the room. All in all, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

I dont understand why they just didnt give room number and other information how come later 🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyway, situation is good, just middle of Fussen. No fridge in rooms, which is big minus. Hotel in the center, room not fantastic but normal. Owner unsympathetic and incorrect in accepting people's opinions regarding the structure and services. The lack of an elevator is absurd, the mere possibility of having breakfast at the price of €12.00 each is absurd. Internal parking at the price of €9.50. The quality and price of the dishes in the kitchen are positive. Professional and polite staff. Small room and uncomfortable single bed. For a 4 star hotel and at that price......I won't stay here again!

We were there for dinner in a larger group. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. You could feel and hear tension among the staff. Pretty unprofessional when you as a guest notice everything.

Restaurant Ludwigs is a popular restaurant in Fussen downtown that operates into late night (10pm), while many other restaurant closes earlier. The night we visited, the restaurant is full with all tables at the street filled. However, we felt that the food quality is only so-so, and the food is rather on the expensive side.

Have to agree with last review - microwaved food. Ok, we came late and our favourite places in Füssen were already closed, but still - this was a bit too much. Fish was microwaved, local potato salad was the worst I had in Bayern during many years of visiting - it tasted like straight from the supermarket. One beer, one water and the bill - 50 euros (and we both ordered dishes below 20 euros. Unbelievable!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rich breakfast buffet was great with very good value for money. The location is unbeatable. Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable, the mattress was always slipping and you were lying in bed on a slope. The access to the three rooms in House 3 is not attractive; There is a very unpleasant smell in the hallway, there is an ashtray hanging in front of the entrance, which always made us walk through a cloud of smoke. Value for money hotel poor.
