Beautifully situated, quiet and cozy

It was okay, but nothing special. The location is nice, and the service wasn't unfriendly. The food was simple and came quickly. If you're passing by hungry or thirsty, you can certainly stop in. But I probably wouldn't drive or walk all the way there.

Food was amazing! We had the cordon bleu and it did not dissapoint… absolutely amazing view from the seats out the front… and very comfy chairs with woolen fleeces for comfort :) well worth checking this place out!

When you sit in the sun on the outdoor terrace with a view of the Faulenbach Valley, you briefly lose track of time.

The food was generally okay, although the salad unfortunately came without dressing or was very sparingly dressed. The drinks were okay. We felt the prices were a bit overpriced for the portion and quality of the food. The waitress (an older lady) was, however, extremely friendly and accommodating – we really enjoyed talking to her. Unfortunately, the billing process wasn't flawless: The young lady who brought the bill made a mistake on both bills (a total of €4.20). We let it stand, but there was no extra tip. Overall, a mixed impression: friendly service, but there could be improvement in terms of value for money and billing.

A place to slow down, right on the lake. Friendly owners. I ate delicious char. You have to get used to the cuckoo clocks.

The Waldwirtschaft restaurant is beautifully and quietly located on the Mittersee lake, and the staff is attentive and friendly. However, the cheap plastic furniture and the disposable plastic straws in the drinks are very outdated. The food selection is substandard, all convenience food. It's called a "café," but they don't serve ice cream (they only serve one type of ice cream from the freezer for kids). It's a real shame, the restaurant has potential!

A generous 2 stars, due to the location. It's very nice. Neither the Wiener Schnitzel with side salad nor the potato salad were tasty.

I only had the Topfenschmarrn (they also serve Kaiserschmarrn), which was very tasty, although it could have been a bit more expensive for the price. The menu is limited, but that's not a bad thing. The elderflower spritzer was more like a flavored sparkling water and not worth the price of €4 for a 0.4 liter. There's a lovely view of the tranquil lake from the terrace.

Super friendly and cheerful service, a beautiful and peaceful setting in nature, and the food was delicious. We had the cordon bleu and schnitzel, followed by a delicious cake. Very child-friendly. Prices are completely reasonable for the current situation. EC card payments are accepted, and there's parking with a parking machine around the corner.

Absolutely fantastic place, gorgeous surroundings, the food and cakes were delicious, and the service was very friendly. We'd love to come back. Best wishes from Mecklenburg.

A truly superb restaurant. The food was excellent and the prices were more than fair. I don't want to give it a full 5 stars because I don't think it's top-notch, but among (normal) restaurants, it's truly top-notch.

We used to go there often as children, and the food selection was much more extensive back then. The menu has shrunk considerably since then, and the waitresses are friendly Asian, although unfortunately they don't always understand everything you want. We enjoyed the food, and the place is very romantic and beautiful, even in nice weather; however, we won't be going there again in the future.

Simply unbelievably DELICIOUS!!! I've rarely eaten such delicious fries or schnitzel! The dessert was also just so incredibly delicious! The service is incredibly friendly, and you sit in a truly beautiful natural setting, surrounded by a forest and a small lake. Highly recommended!!!❤️

Great location. Unfortunately, we had to leave, thirsty and hungry. There was only one waitress, who also had to pour the drinks herself, which was a shame. We left after 25 minutes.

We stopped in after hiking and were allowed to take our two dogs with us. Our son was offered things to paint. Unfortunately they forgot the apple strudel for my husband.

Splendida location, adiacente un laghetto su cui si specchiano i meravigliosi colori della vegetazione di Fussen. Portate buone e abbondanti, con una nota di merito per lo strudel. Peccato per il servizio un po' stentato (solo intedesco) e il pagamento solo in contanti.

my husband and I happened to be there. The food (cheese spaetzle and char) was very tasty! Friendly service...the waitress was very nice and funny!

We, two people, came here from Alatsee because it looked very inviting. We ate schnitzel with fries and brawn with fried potatoes. The schnitzel was excellent, perfectly fried, so that the breading had bubbles 😋, exactly as it should be...! The brawn with potatoes couldn't be better. The service was very friendly and quick. In short, everything was very good all around. Nothing speaks against further visits, except that the vacation is over. But then next time.

We have been to this restaurant a few times. Very good food, nice interior, great staff. It is the best restaurant in Germany. We recommend it to everyone.

We had a Kaiserschmarren. It was probably from a prepackaged package. There were also complaints about the food at the next table. Toilets dirty. It used to be great here, but I can't recommend it anymore.

We came from swimming and first ate something hearty. The Cordon Bleu was excellent. It had a creamy cheese filling with leeks. Something different. Afterwards there was a tasty cappuccino and rhubarb meringue cake. The perfect ending.

We were looking for a simple location and came across forestry. We received a very friendly welcome and a table for 7 people was set up for us on the terrace. Getting the drinks and ordering the food went pretty quickly and we didn't have to wait long until everything was there. The menu is a bit small but there was still something for everyone. The food was really tasty. The price-performance ratio is also quite good. The service staff were very nice and accommodating, we can definitely recommend it.

From the outside, it wasn't the coziest restaurant in terms of furnishings, but the Topfen-Kaiserschmarrn was great in terms of price and performance! We particularly liked the fresh fruit with it. The service was very friendly and joking. Overall we were very satisfied.

Very beautifully located forestry. Unfortunately, on our last visit the menu was reduced to a minimum. The selection used to be better. We made do with little things so I don't want to go into detail about the quality of the food. Only the outside terrace was open and therefore no information about the location. A visit is always worth it just because of the location.

Our coffee, the Radler and the Kaiserschmarren were really good. It seemed as if only the boss and the waitress were there...which meant there was a bit of a wait when ordering...but it doesn't matter, we had time...😁 Coffee and everything else was there quickly after ordering. 😇 and delicious. There was a sign at the entrance: Terrace only today. Without exception! This “without exception” can be given as a gift when there is a table full of people sitting inside. I did not quite understand. I also didn't understand whether it was service or self-service. I innocently lined up behind everyone else at the counter. When it was my turn, the chef came?! Boss?! whatever out of the kitchen. The tone towards paying guests might be a little nicer if you don't want people ordering at your counter. When I apologized that I thought it was self-service, then to be so harsh again was rather uncool. A PITY!!!! Especially since I worked there for the Müller family 12 years ago.

We had the Kaiserschmarrn twice and given the price you can't complain. In other restaurants you now pay twice as much. The waitress seems a bit overwhelmed, probably because she is alone. Unfortunately, I waited too long for everything.

Nettes Ehepaar serviert leckere Mahlzeiten und super Kuchen. Tolle Aussicht auf den See mit Seerosen.

Direkt am Mittersee gelegen. Sehr liebevoll mit Blumen und hübschen Sachen auf der Terrasse dekoriert. Seitlich ein Hasengehäge. Wir haben nach einer Wanderung von dort zum Alatsee und zurück nur Getränke zu uns genommen.

Wunderschön. Und so nah bei Füssen. War mit dem Bike dort und hab nur ein alkofree getrunken. Ruhe, Natur ... 500m weiter ist Füssen, da geht der Bär ab.

Gutes Essen, schöne Aussicht. Freundliches Personal. Nur zu empfehlen. Normale Preise.

Ruhiges Plätzchen, netter Service

Sind auf unserer Radtour zufällig vorbei gekommen. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich eine kurze Trinkpause eingelegt haben.

Wir waren nur kurz für zwei Getränke hier. Freundliches und flottes Personal. Der Kuchen am Nachbartisch sah sehr lecker aus. Wunderschön gelegen direkt am See.

Sehr idyllisch, im Wald an einem kleinen Ententeich gelegen . Essen ist lecker und Kids können rumtollen und kleine Hässchen füttern.

Das Restaurant sieht nett aus! Ansonsten kann ich es nicht empfehlen. Wir hatten Kässpatzen und einen Beilagensalat. Die Portion (Spätzle und Salat) war so klein, dass wir (ich und meine 4 jährige Tochter) zu Hause noch etwas essen mussten. Der Salat wurde in einem Miniglasschälchen serviert und das Dressing schmeckte nach einem Fertigdressing aus der Flasche. Der Preis war dafür sehr unverhältnismäßig hoch und ich gehe oft und gerne essen und kenne mich mit den Preisen aus. Da hätte man besser in der Innenstadt in ein schönes Restaurant gehen können! Ein Parkplatz ist nicht vorhanden. Man muss am Parkplatz beim Minigolf Platz parken und dann hinlaufen (ca 5 Min) ! Ich schreibe selten Rezensionen aber hier konnte ich nicht anders. Sorry aber das war nix -.-

Das Essen war ok. Wir hatten ein Schnitzel mit Pommes und einen Schweinebraten. Das Schnitzel war zwar groß, geschmacklich aber verbesserungsfähig. Die Pommes waren sehr lasch. Der Braten war ok. Immerhin waren die Klöße dazu lecker. Der Service könnte etwas besser sein. Preisleistungsverhältnis hat dafür aber gestimmt.

Wir waren 10 Minuten vor Schließung da gewesen, die letzten Gäste waren am aufbrechen und wir haben dennoch noch etwas zu trinken bekommen und konnten in Ruhe austrinken, vielen Dank für den Service

Wir saßen an einem regnerischen Tag draußen, wurden gleich gesehen und sehr aufmerksam bedient. Der Kuchen war sehr gut. Nettes Plätzchen nach einem Spaziergang in schöner Umgebung.

Leider waren bei 20° und strahlendem Sonnenschein noch keine Schirme vorhanden, was das Sitzen in der Sonne mit Säugling unmöglich macht. Außerdem werden dort Hasen gehalten, zum wohlgefallen der Kinder. Allerdings zweifle ich an der artgerechten Haltung... Im Grunde allerdings eine super Idee und für die Kinder so oder so ein Highlight! Dennoch ein schönes Ambiente, guter Service und leckeres Essen!

Das Essen war qualitativ OK, aber sehr teuer!!
