The view is fantastic, the food is delicious, but the service is unfortunately only mediocre - a schnitzel was forgotten, which can happen, and then it took forever to be brought.
We were there today on Mother's Day and waited a whole 1 1/2 hours for food... 1 hour just for the starter. The drinks only came after 45 minutes. There were 2 birthday parties that day... The kitchen? No comment. Extremely overwhelmed and overloaded. The bosses? Doesn't seem to care. The main thing is that the money flows.
The last time we ate there was 6 years ago and even with a larger group we had to wait a long time for the food. Now there were 6 of us and we wanted to give it another chance... Too early to get excited!
The soups came after 1 hour. But here only 1 soup out of 6 was brought. After our friend finished the soup, the rest came after 10 minutes! Then the food came. Savoy cabbage vegetables were also ordered. After asking again it was said that this was not possible and a salad could be offered as an alternative. This notice was not previously communicated to us. I myself had ordered shovels, which were no longer there, instead they brought me a knuckle, WITHOUT ASKING FIRST IF I WOULD EVEN WANT IT. Information shortly after ordering would be the minimum and the guest would be asked whether it was OK at all. Goes....
We don't blame the waiter as he was very calm and nice. But here there is clearly a failure on the part of the management in the planning, which also shows zero consideration for the kitchen and the staff. The main thing is that the store is full and the money is flowing.
We were very disappointed and won't be coming back again because, unfortunately, the problem hasn't changed and there doesn't seem to be any change in sight.
On May 1st, we had dinner at the Schwenksaal. They've recently started serving oven-baked pizza. The pizza and toppings were good, the atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant, and the prices were reasonable.
It's a great idea to set up a "pizza to go" station right next to the bike path and across from Röhrensee, where you can pay in cash or with PayPal. Something new!
One suggestion I would like to see is for smokers to be separated from non-smoking guests.
Especially when smokers don't take small children into consideration!
Otherwise, everything's great!
We found the food delicious. Above all, you can still get real schnitzels here. I had vegetarian food which was very tasty. Salad also fresh and tasty. We'll be back.
Nice, rustic, old-style pub. Cards are still tapped there and there are two daily specials that are freshly prepared. Beer also delicious. All at affordable prices.
A warm and authentic restaurant with super friendly, personable service that's never short of a joke! And the small menu offers incredibly delicious food!
In terms of location, this would actually be the best beer garden in Augsburg. Unfortunately, there isn't much on offer in terms of quality. The so-called Aperol Spritz is mixed using an original Aperol bottle. But it tastes like a juice and champagne spritz. That's pretty bold. I hope for new tenants or a rethinking of the existing tenants.
Food was unimpressive. Overcooked chicken dishes, felt like chewing rubber pad. The bald guy at the service was strange and rude. We ordered kinder spätzle and the kids food came at the very end of the service, when asked, the guy replied "I have only two hands". It goes without saying, in a service industry these kind of replies are unexpected. Over all Dont Go there.
Some time ago I reserved a table for 12 people to eat goose last night. So when we arrived yesterday everything was dark and the restaurant was closed 😲 When we called we were told that it was closed for renovations. It would probably have been a mistake to let me know. Hello????? That doesn't work at all. Luckily, the Simon winery next door still had space for us.
👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Food is only edible if the super nice lady with the Franconian dialect is there. If the lady with the strange dog tattoo on her arm is there, the food is inedible. The fries are still raw inside, the meatball on the meatball roll is cold. Hamburgers and cheeseburgers taste like fries, fat, and the sausages are already a third brown on the inside and sticks hard
