Ratskeller in Weiden i.d.OPf.

Ich war heute in Ihrem Restaurant und habe mein Essen einpacken lassen. Als ich nachgefragt habe, wo die Soße und die Pfifferlinge sind, wollte mir die Mitarbeiterin zeigen, dass sich die Pfifferlinge unter dem Schnitzel befinden. Obwohl das Essen bereits verpackt war und ich gesagt hatte, dass ich ihr glaube, hat sie mein Schnitzel mit den bloßen Fingern angefasst und hochgehoben. Besonders irritierend fand ich, dass dieselbe Mitarbeiterin kurz zuvor noch einen benutzten Aschenbecher abgeräumt hatte. Umso unverständlicher war es für mich, dass sie anschließend mein Essen mit bloßen Fingern berührt hat. Das empfand ich als äußerst unhygienisch und unprofessionell. Mir ist dadurch der Appetit vergangen, und ich habe mich als Gast überhaupt nicht ernst genommen gefühlt. So etwas sollte in einem Restaurant aus meiner Sicht nicht passieren. Ich hoffe, dass künftig mehr Wert auf Hygiene und einen professionellen Umgang mit Lebensmitteln gelegt wird.

Eine Flasche Wasser für 9 €. Der Service war sehr schlecht. 50 Minuten Wartezeit aufs Essen, obwohl das Restaurant leer war.

Uriges Lokal Sehr gute Küche Freundliches Personal

Zum Positiven: die Bedienung war freundlich Zum Negativen: Schleimige Substanz im Bier und folglich leider auch in meinem Mund. Von der Optik und Haptik wie ein sog. Lungaharing. Gläser / Zapfhahn nicht gewaschen oder hatte nur der Wirt einen schlechten Tag? Absolut Ekelhaft! Das Ersatzbier war nichtmal kostenlos. Die Bedienung konnte mir quasi dabei zusehen wie ich mir den Schleim aus dem Mund ziehe. Das Essen ist relativ teuer aber dafür bekommt man auch nicht so viel.

Wer das Bürgerliche sucht wird hier fündig, rustikales Ambiente. Die Saftschorle etwas zu dünn, dennoch das Essen war lecker.

Es ist ein sehr schöner Keller und die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und eine Atmosphäre meine Bewertung 5 von 5 Sternen bei allem.

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen leider nicht ganz teilen . Erst zu den guten Eigenschaften . Service war sehr nett und sehr schnell , Ambiente war in Ordnung . Das Essen allerdings , schwierig , alles fertig wahre ,das Schnitzel hauchdünn , die Spätzle fertige aus dem Supermarkt und die Soße aus einem Päckchen mit ganz viel Gewürzen übertüncht . Also gerade so essbar ,die Preise dafür gerade noch akzeptable .. Nochmal eher nicht .

Typischer Ratskeller mit Hausmannskost und sehr netter Bedienung

War gut. Nettes heimatliches Ambiente. Leider war das Handy von Service mit dem Netflix Filfm (oder was auch immer) recht gut zu höhren in dem leeren Lokal. Hausfrauensosse mit Karotten ist mir noch unbekannt gewesen. Das Essen kam direkt nach der Bestellung innerhalb von 5 Minuten. Das muss ein Steamer sein in der Küche für die Kartoffeln 😉 Portion für den Preis stimmte. Rundum war es insgesamt gut.

Ich habe dort noch nie schlecht gegessen, und vor allem das Hefeweizen ist immer gut. Das Personal war stets fantastisch. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, mindestens einmal dort hinzugehen.

Ein wirklich großartiges Lokal. Das Essen kam schnell und die Bedienung war sehr nett. Der Salat war nicht ganz nach meinem Geschmack, aber meine Freunde mochten ihn, also kann man das dem Restaurant nicht anlasten. Mein Champignonrahmschnitzel war köstlich. Wunderbare Soße hervorragend gewürzt und das Schnitzel war knusprig. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.

Seit Jahren mein Favorit in der Altstadt!

Waren heute dort zum Essen da wir in der Nähe eine Baustelle hatten. Bestellten 3 mal Pfefferrahmschnitzel das als Menü 3 angeboten wurde. Alle drei Gerichte waren ungenießbar und schmeckten irgendwie extrem nach Salbei. Auf Nachfrage bei der Kellnerin hieß es sie nimmt es mit und fragt mal den Küchenchef. Als sie kam hieß es „ ok ja der Chef hat es probiert und es wird ihn wohl Zuviel ausgekommen sein“ Als Entschädigung bittete man uns ein Espresso oder Kaffee aufs Haus an. Normal erwartet man dass, das Essen storniert wird oder etwas anderes angeboten wird. War eigentlich immer zufrieden wenn wir sonntags da waren aber das fand ich heute echt eine Frechheit.

Bei unseren heutigen Besuch in Weiden, sind wir in dieses urige Restaurant eingekehrt. Wir haben einmal einen Schweinebraten bestellt, sowie das Putenschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Die Wartezeit auf die Speisen war angemessen, dafür bekommt man dann auch ein frisch zubereiteten Essen. Die Portionen waren sehr ordentlich und uns hat es gut geschmeckt. Schön das es noch Gaststätten mit guter deutscher Küche gibt.

Ich habe seit Jahren kein gutes Schnitzel mehr gegessen. Hierher zu kommen und die gemütliche Atmosphäre, den wunderbaren Service und das köstliche Essen zu genießen, war ein perfekter Abschluss meiner Deutschlandreise. 💜

Auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten, was den Besuch zusätzlich angenehm gemacht hat. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut fair. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

The Ratskeller restaurant has a charming, old-world feel. Pleasantly decorated for the season. The service was incredibly fast and friendly. The lunch menu was plentiful (including calf's liver), although some of the fried potatoes were a bit burnt. Overall, I enjoyed it very much!

Great traditional Bavarian food! Loved all that we got. Shnitzel was a great choice for the kids! Spaetzel with mushroom sauce was phenomenal!

I recently had the calf's liver. So delicious... It's a shame it's not open on Sunday evenings.

We unfortunately find €15.80 for two small pieces of cake and two cups of coffee at a self-service counter to be expensive!

We arrived at the restaurant last night just as the kitchen was closing, but the incredibly friendly waiter quickly let us choose two dishes from the extensive menu. The food arrived promptly and tasted fantastic and, despite the late hour, fresh. As a small dessert, we were even offered a complimentary schnapps. Many thanks for your hospitality, and we look forward to trying the many other appealing dishes.

Swindlers, swindlers, and tourist traps! Frozen and canned goods, and overpriced (1 adult meal and 2 children's meals for almost 80 euros). Absolutely not recommended!

Horrible! For a vegetarian dish, my wife chose vegetable strudel with potatoes and hollandaise sauce for a whopping €17.80. It consisted of three mushy, sulfured potato halves, hollandaise sauce from a tetra pack, and a similarly mushy, tasteless mess with some carrots and broccoli coated in rubbery batter. When we complained, we were told it came from the wholesaler and they just put it on our plates. She would complain about the frozen product to the supplier. The blackcurrant spritzer had a maximum of 5% juice, the rest was water! A real bargain for €5.80! My herring, on the other hand, was better and acceptable. Overall, a disappointment on our trip.

A very cozy, rustic Ratskeller restaurant with a typical Bavarian flair. The portions are generous and the food truly delicious. We both had liver dumpling soup as a starter – you could immediately tell the dumplings were freshly prepared and not frozen. Our main courses were schnitzel with mushrooms and spaetzle, and liver with onions and fried potatoes. Both dishes were served with a small salad. The price, including the starter, was around €22 per person – absolutely fair for the quality and quantity. Highly recommended, we'd be happy to come back!

This was our second visit, and once again it was simply a dream. The service was very friendly and relaxed. The food was once again delicious, and the portions were very, very generous. Not for those with a small appetite. The prices are perfectly reasonable, in my opinion. I'd love to come back soon.

A clear warning for allergy sufferers (gluten). I had chanterelle mushrooms with "Dotsch" (a kind of mushroom). The "Dotsch" (a kind of mushroom) was really good, but the fried chanterelle mushrooms were very fatty. Unfortunately, the mushrooms weren't gluten-free, as promised by the waitress. I had a severe reaction and vomited several times. They were probably washed with flour water. I can only speculate, but such a mistake shouldn't happen. You have to be able to trust what they say. Apart from that, I can only say that the waitress was very nice and polite.

We had a delicious lunch here and were quite full. The extremely friendly staff served us quickly and very kindly. Our search for a place to have lunch in Weiden was over. We'll be back at the Ratskeller on our next visit.👍👍

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier. Die Lage, direkt am Markt, ist wunderschön. Aussenbestuhlung ist auf dem Marktplatz. Innen ein schönes Kellergewölbe. Alte, ziemlich abgesessene Stühle, recht düstere Atmosphäre. Wir wurden von einem jungen Mann sehr freundlich und kompetent bedient. Getränke kamen schnell und schmeckten frisch und lecker. Wir bestellten Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Kartoffelsalat. Zuvor gab's einen kleinen Salat. Der Salat bestand aus (vermutlich fertig gekauftem) Bohnensalat, Möhren aus der Dose oder aus dem Glas, Krautsalat und 3 Blättern grünem Salat, alles nicht sonderlich schmackhaft nach unserem Geschmack. Wir erwarteten daher schon nix Gutes... aber dann kam das Schnitzel! Und das war wirklich perfekt! Wir haben lange kein dermaßen köstliches paniertes Schnitzel gegessen! So waren wir am Ende dann mehr als zufrieden, als wir das Restaurant verließen. 😉 Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her fanden wir es okay. Dafür hätten wir in anderen Restaurants in Weiden mehr gezahlt.

Not a place for dinner, which was made clear to us. Lunch menus are recommended; the food is often good and reasonably priced. On our last visit, the decent roast pork came with a small dumpling. We asked for a second dumpling, which was charged at €4 (elsewhere I paid two, or €2.50 with sauce). Be sure to ask for the price!!

The food was very plentiful and tasted good, but one thing I have to say is that the strong caraway taste was unfortunately not good. The cook should avoid the excessive caraway, but otherwise everything was very good

We ate here yesterday as part of a special train trip. The food was simply unbelievably good! No matter what dish we had, it was simply strong and delicious and at incredibly good prices! You could clearly feel that the entire town, not just the restaurants, was completely overwhelmed by the rush of the special train.

Disappointing experience. We made reservations for 23 people and were assigned three tables in the vaulted cellar. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked if we were still being served. The reply was rather rude that it was about to start. After another wait without any change in the situation, we left the restaurant. Specific criticism of the service person responsible when leaving was met with incomprehension.

It's a shame that you can't give 0 stars. We waited forever for service. The response to our inquiry was very rude. After waiting some more we left.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. The side salad consisted mostly (about 80%) of ingredients from a can or bucket, and the prices were quite high overall. Unfortunately, the potato salad with the pollack fillet was spoiled. After I pointed this out to the waiter, he asked my companion to try their salad too. Since she didn't want this, he only took my plate with him. After a short while he brought back my already eaten fish along with a new portion of optically identical potato salad - probably a finished product. The new salad also tasted very sour. Unfortunately, there was no apology, a small gesture or a price reduction. My friend's knuckle also looked like it had thawed, and we found a piece of plastic in the sauerkraut. Since the waiter was friendly, we didn't want to burden the evening with further complaints. However, we won't eat there again.

Fast service, very tasty food and good portions

Unfortunately not recommended. We had Bohemian trout and the vegetable strudel. The side salad was a bit sad, nothing fresh, just canned goods (green beans, cabbage…). The fish was drowned in cheap oil, the vegetable strudel came from the microwave and was soggy and bland. More like paste in the mouth. The (finished) Hollandaise sauce already had a skin and the potatoes had already been warmed up. It wasn't very surprising since our food was ready after just under 10 minutes. Really very disappointing in terms of taste. The service was fine, as was the Zoigl. Still we won't be coming back.

A wonderfully old, venerable restaurant - clean and well-kept with really good cuisine (roast pork, Jägerschnitzel, fish). Very good in terms of quantity and taste. The presentation on the plate was very appealing. We were very pos. surprised because there wasn't much going on.

Went to this restaurant for the first time today. What can I say, it was delicious. We had walleye and carp. You also get a decent portion for your money. Super nice service and food was brought super quickly. Exactly my taste.

We drove to Weiden specifically to try Frank Rosin's famous Blue Star Kitchen. Luckily, the restaurant was already closed, so we ended up at the Ratskeller. Excellent service, excellent food, and a big compliment to the service team—every guest will be satisfied here!

Absolute disaster! We visited this restaurant today and were unfortunately very disappointed. I was looking forward to a cream roast with bread dumplings, but the food didn't come close to meeting my expectations. The salad was still okay, but the sauce was more reminiscent of the sauce from Königsberger Klopsen, both visually and in terms of taste - absolutely not what I imagine a suitable cream sauce to be. The meat was also extremely questionable: it had two different colors, smelled unpleasantly of old meat and therefore tasted bad. It was clear to us that the meat was not fresh. When I asked the waiter about it, he took the plate away to “see what we could do”. After a while he came back and said that nothing could be done because “the other meat looks like that too”. I had the impression that my criticism was neither received constructively nor understood what I was really talking about. To make matters worse, two other dishes were also inedible because, in our opinion, the meat there was also spoiled or of very poor quality. All in all, today's visit was very disappointing, especially since we were there as a family and wanted to have a good time. For a meal that costs well over 20 euros, you should at least expect the meat to be fresh and of good quality. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant and hope that they urgently work on the quality of the food and how they deal with customer complaints.

The food was good, the service was attentive and courteous, the decor was tasteful, but the person at the next table was a bit too loud for our liking; he liked to hear himself talk. But there are people like that everywhere.

I ordered the Cordon Bleu. Unfortunately, I had to send the portion back. It was inedible. The side dish (French fries) wasn't great either... I won't be coming back. The price is also absolutely exorbitant for this level of quality.

Das Essen war gut, aber vom Sauerbraten den ich bestellt hatte merkte man nicht viel eher ein Rinderrahmbraten! Das ärgerliche waren die Getränke!! Man bekomm nur eine Speisekarte u.keine Karte für Getränke (die wussten schon warum) 0,33 L Cola 3,90 € u der Abschuss war ein kleines Glas Latte Macchiatto!!! 5,80 € ohne Worte ich dachte ich vom Stuhl!! Einfach nur unverschämt !

Very tasty food and good, traditional Bavarian cuisine – generous portions on the plate. You definitely won't leave hungry. The restroom was clean. The interior has a rustic feel, as the name suggests.

8 euros for a double espresso is outrageous!!! For 2 espressos you get a cream roast there, but the ratio is no longer correct. There was also no drinks menu on the table. For 2 bottles of 0.75 mineral water you get one Schäuferl. For 4 lunches 140 €, you don't have to be surprised if the guests stay away

Steak was a total loss, 40% fat and hard to chew. I ordered it with fried potatoes, the potatoes came on the same dish and were swimming in fat sauce and tasted like lemons due to the lemons on the potatoes as decoration. The waiter was a smart ass when I mentioned it to him. I wish I would have taken a picture to post. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Schäuferle very dry. Sauerkraut comes from a can and is less edible. Dumplings are also not good to eat if they are overcooked. There is less of it that is beautifully prepared. Not worth a second visit.

As always, a great meal in our case a Schäufele with crust and tasty fried dumplings and sauerkraut. Very nice service in a cozy atmosphere with a medieval flair.

Simply very tasty food. We ate a Cordon Bleu today, the best Cordon Bleu I've ever eaten!! I can't understand a few bad reviews here at all. We were always very satisfied, the waitresses were also very friendly and the restaurant was beautifully decorated inside. We would be happy to come back and definitely recommend it!

We were here for a celebration and had reserved. The atmosphere in the vaulted cellar is quite nice. The food is rather average, you can tell that a lot of it has been cooked beforehand, which is probably no different when it comes to the selection of dishes. The sauce for my Scheuferle was transparent?! And the same strange sauce was also served with the dumplings with sauce for the child... When serving, the waiter poured the same sauce into my neighbor's salad and over my husband's jacket. After serving, the waiter was no longer seen. Some people would have liked to drink something more and we would also have liked to order a round of schnapps, but in vain. We then paid at the counter and left. At least a few euros were reduced for the jacket without us saying anything. It was our first time there and it will probably stay that way.

We came here after a wedding, I really liked the ambience in this restaurant, there are also seats outside in front of the restaurant. The food was good and plentiful. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Quaint inn, food could be presented more beautifully. Definitely worth a visit to the beautiful Upper Palatinate. Very large selection of dishes, especially Bavarian cuisine.
