Gaststätte Postkeller in Weiden i.d.OPf.

We celebrated our wedding at the Postkeller and couldn't have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, the team was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was simply fantastic: we had roast pork, beef fillet, salmon, soup, rice, potato croquettes, vegetable gratin, and more... everything was excellent and deliciously prepared. The beef fillet was freshly prepared at the buffet, and the chef was extremely professional and friendly. Our guests were thrilled with the food and service. We were especially grateful that they provided us with takeaway boxes so our guests could bring leftovers home. This helped us enormously because we didn't have to worry about transporting the food. We celebrated indoors in the beautiful, traditional Bavarian parlor, and it was a real highlight, especially for our guests from other states, who were able to experience a piece of Bavarian culture. The service team was very friendly, attentive, and prompt. As the bride, I felt especially well looked after. The wait staff lovingly ensured I had something to drink throughout the afternoon, even when I wasn't at my table. Our guests were also able to step out into the beautiful beer garden at any time to get some fresh air, and the playground was perfect for children and their parents. Parking was more than sufficient, which was also a huge plus for us. The Postkeller had a solution for every one of our questions and requests; nothing was a problem. Unfortunately, in all the excitement, we completely forgot to take photos. But if you want to celebrate your wedding with delicious food, great service, a Bavarian atmosphere, and at a very fair price, we can absolutely recommend the Postkeller. We were there last weekend with a wedding party. The hall was fantastic and offered plenty of space. It's also great that there's a small playground for the kids right outside. You don't have to worry about parking either. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Always ready and helpful. The chef served such a fantastic buffet. We couldn't stop eating. He really put attention to detail and created a masterpiece 🤗

I was invited to a wedding at the Postkeller as a guest. There was a delicious buffet. The roast pork and beef were perfectly tender, as were the dumplings and gravy. I would go back in a heartbeat and can highly recommend the restaurant. Oh, and the beer was also delicious and always perfectly tapped.

A very nice beer garden and delicious snacks. Plenty of shade after a bike ride.

When the weather is nice, there is a beer garden with a great view of Weiden 🤗 and good home-style cuisine 😃

Had a pleasent lunch here. Lady boss is friendly & understanding. She prepared extra cutlery & plate for us knowing we are sharing the food. Nice atmosphere.

We met there for a beer at 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday since we were relatively close by. We also got something to eat. The landlady was very nice and attentive. It wasn't the last time we were there.

The food was very good. Service wasn't so good. Frequent guests were treated more politely and asked more often if everything was okay. As a stranger, you were disrespected.

We spontaneously went for lunch today, and I found the price-performance ratio to be unsatisfactory. The sauces were definitely from a packet, the dumplings were okay, and the meat quality was excellent. The sauerbraten (€18.90) and roast pork (€14.90) were not justified for the quality.

The food was really very good. However, the service was unfortunately extremely unfriendly, and the cleanliness also left something to be desired (cobwebs, dead flies, and other dirt in the corners/under the benches in the adjoining room).

Quick stop, Sunday afternoon on the way back to Czech. The staff was very polite and food was good.

Very unfriendly. Decoration and furnishings are very old. No vegetarian option, just sausage and meat.

The waitress goes down to the cellar to laugh I get mumps from the waitress when she's in a bad mood, she should look for another job, technically out of place

The veal liver was a dream... and my toast was also very tasty... very nice service and a nice, quiet inn... beautifully located!!

Family-run restaurant for over 100 years. Home cooking with shaved spaetzle and homemade cakes. Large portions, something tasty even for those on a budget. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We would be happy to come back, even with arrival times.

Schnitzel was quite thick and seemed like ready-made breading. Plus dry. Fries very hard. Herring in cream sauce, could be refined, unfortunately it was also a ready-made sauce.

Sehr schön im grünen gelegenes Lokal mit schattigem Biergarten und großem Saal. Die Bedienung ist stets freundlich und das gutbürgerliche Essen lecker.

Zulz legendär, muss mer probieren, dazu die leckersten Bratkartoffeln mit geschmelzte zwiebel, mmhh.

Ambiente hell und freundlich. Das Essen eine Katastrophe, Fleisch hart und ohne Geschmack, Spätzle waren frisch mit Sauce aber kaum gewürzt. Preislich sehr teuer und der Hammer: Salat extra berechnet mit 3.20€. Nochmal hingehen? Nee.

Found the place by accident but glad I did! The food was great! The history of the place is amazing in its own right, 150 years old! Amazing venue for very large gatherings or small and comfortable settings. I'm sure the beer garden will be nice in spring! The photo attached is of the big hall, the other two seating areas are smaller and more Quant if that's that your after.
