Now under new tenants... The Aubinger Retreat has improved somewhat. 1. The interior ambience has been slightly improved without changing the typical character. 2. The kitchen has become a little better (this is purely subjective based on the dishes ordered so far) ...however: The lack of friendliness of the waitress makes me refrain from having a family celebration here.

Today I was in the restaurant with my father for the first time since it reopened! Were there around lunchtime. We found the food really tasty and the portion couldn't have been bigger. Tables and general ambience very nicely and lovingly decorated. The service was very friendly and helpful. We noticed that she was completely alone and it got really crowded at lunchtime. Maybe use a little more staff, because the poor woman was just racing. We'll definitely be back!

Very unpleasant and rude blond lady waitress on Saturday August 10th. She pretended not to understand and waited on us very poorly. Would not return.

We were on the terrace. Nice and attentive waiter, nice to sit down and there is now even a vegan meal on the menu. Keep it up.

Self-service beer garden portions ok prices are normal for Munich great atmosphere

We were in the beer garden at lunchtime. Pleasantly not very busy, cozy atmosphere, no annoying car noise and shady trees. The Obazda was super fresh, the large pretzel was still warm and the sausage salad was freshly made. What more could you want? There was also parking. A number of cyclists were there too. The only thing we didn't see was a charging station for e-bikes.

Dèjà vu experience, restaurant/beer garden visit like 30 years ago: food excellent - service in a great atmosphere and the food/drinks worth the price. All other guests were also very satisfied. Hopefully it stays that way.

Things have only been going up since the landlord changed. Nicely decorated beer garden in the self-service area. Tablecloth in the service area and also beautifully decorated. Service friendly and attentive. Food great quality and perfectly prepared! Beer, Augustiner Bräu... What more could you want? We'll definitely be back!

I was surprised at how beautiful it was there. The food was great.

Our first impression since the change of tenant. Today we were eating, 3 adults and a child. I want to be polite and honest here. Unfortunately, the food was generally not very tasty. Beef with horseradish sauce. Was a reason for complaint. Potatoes not fresh. Vegetables tasted like flavor enhancers. The meat was tough because it was cut way too thick. The potato salad was out of the fridge. It was homemade but unfortunately it wasn't tasty due to the refrigeration from the day before. Unfortunately also too sour. However, the roast pork for the little one was very good. But you can't wait 20 minutes for extra dumplings. In response to the complaints from the kitchen, the service was confident. Therefore unfortunately only 2 stars. Work on my little criticism. That was just our first impression. Maybe the second one will be better.

Shortly after the reopening it was very good (good food and service) but now there are new staff on site and everything is different again! Food portions were manageable, just enough to fill you up and a chanterelle sauce was a mushroom sauce by mistake, which was then used for 3 dishes at the same time at our table. The first one had finished eating and the last one was just getting his plate. In between there was an information that 1 dish was no longer available > it started so well and is currently not recommended unfortunately...

Yesterday we were back in the restaurant for the first time since the change of tenant and were thrilled... the food was very tasty and the service was top. That's why I have a recommendation.

Große Verbesserung mit den neuen Besitzern. Das Essen ist viel besser als vorher. Angenehme Atmosphäre auf der Terrasse mit frischen Blumen und Pflanzen, und angenehm kühl durch die großen Bäume.

Still lower average. Something simple like fries are still raw and barely salted. Service is also limited, but the usual high prices.

We were happy about the change of tenant. We then returned to the beer garden. Unfortunately nothing seems to have changed and all previous errors have been retained. Fries weren't cooked through. (Too short in the deep fryer) Coleslaw salad only tasted like liquid, unseasoned yogurt. The sausage salad has been in the display case for so long that the sausage has turned gray. Looked a bit disgusting. Half the Händl came out of the combi steamer, where it was kept warm (in principle nothing against that) but unfortunately it was inedible. Didn't taste like chicken at all. I have no idea how long it's been there. The roast pork and the sauce alone were great. Hence the 2nd star. Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore. But everyone should make up their own minds about it. The reviews about the operating area are quite positive.

I can only recommend. Very nice service, no matter how much stress. The food is very good. The prices, yes, everything has become more expensive, but it's worth it. Been there several times and will be back 👍👍👍

Yesterday I was there with my family to attend my nephew's confirmation. Rustic restaurant inside, the beer garden was not accessible (due to the rainy weather). The service was great and not intrusive and very child-friendly. The food was very tasty. The only drawback was the size of the portions. Had the schnitzel Viennese style with fries, the quantity was like the children's schnitzel (portion) like my nephews. It's just not enough for the price. Likewise, the portion of the cheese spaetzle was too small. My brother's onion roast was absolutely top for the price-performance ratio. Small improvements are still possible. Overall it was a pleasant visit.

We spent a very nice evening here with a group of 8 people. The waiter Tritus in particular knows how to create the atmosphere in a friendly and pleasant way for personal, friendly hospitality. The very nice waitress with the hand bandage also contributed to an atmosphere with her charm and friendliness that made all guests feel welcome. Many thanks also to the kitchen for the very tasty food.

I have to say I was very positively surprised. This month I was in the beer garden and in the serving area. The quality of the food and the price-performance ratio were great! The stopover salad with grilled goat cheese is a culinary delight and the best salad I've had in a restaurant for a long time. The waitresses are also super friendly, I can only recommend everyone to stop by, apparently the tenant has changed and it shows. In the beer garden there are beer benches with backrests but also normal ones and in general a lot of thought has been given to how we can make them more beautiful than before and it has been successful. Absolute recommendation! It's nice to see that there are finally good restaurants in Aubing and the surrounding area.

As long-time regulars at the Aubinger Einkehr, we were really excited to see what it would be like after the change of tenant. However, the experience is mixed... it's nice that the Munich beer garden culture and the bringing of your own snacks lives on. Large pretzels, which are not fully baked, and shandy, which consists of three quarters of soda, spoil the result... so let's hope that the new team can eliminate the shortcomings... we will come back and the whole thing give it a chance 😊

What should you capitalize if nothing fits... First came the drinks... Then the food... After further waiting the cutlery!!! The pork roast slices very thin and salty..... ready-made dumplings.... After paying we were asked if we wanted to take the salad with us which had been forgotten... No thanks, that's still missing here...

The cooks are very bad and very rude and I don't even need to talk about the boss... I advise everyone to eat there or drink beer. You don't know if it's fresh or what you put in it...

A very pleasant restaurant with an extremely friendly staff who are also happy to take special requests into account. We got a seat without any problems without a reservation and were served well and quickly. Very child friendly. The food came quickly and can best be described as a little more upscale Bavarian cuisine. Prices are absolutely average for Munich. Large beer garden outside, also with self-service area. So the Aubinger Retreat is equally suitable for a quick drink in between or a romantic evening for two or for a regular's table. 🍻

After the reopening we were in the beer garden and it was very nice. The tables were lovingly decorated with various herb pots and the overall appearance was very beautiful. Food was very good and the staff was very friendly. Also great with children, as there is also a playground. We'd love to come back.

We went yesterday for the first time since reopening. I was positively surprised. I ate a baked potato in the beer garden. It was very good. The salad with it was also great. The children had schnitzel with fries. That was good too. Price wise also okay. When the food was handed out, not everything was in place. A few people seemed very professional there, others were a bit lost there. This will develop.

Now 👍 TOP ***** Everything has been renovated, the tables are beautifully set, completely new furniture in the beer garden. The staff is very friendly. The food is delicious, fresh and on the table quickly. Nice restaurant inside, also suitable for celebrations. Outside terrace with service and self-service beer garden. I can't say anything about the food in the beer garden yet. Highly recommended for me.

We were there at the opening after a bike ride. What can I say, I can't say anything about the food because after waiting 30 minutes we weren't even asked for drinks and after several times saying "I'll come to you in a moment" we wanted to switch to self-service so we stood at the food counter for 20 minutes and had Then I gave up when I saw that I had to stand at the checkout for another 20 minutes. So everything is the same, we will stop by again in a few years, but there is no hope that the retreat will return to its former glory

Yesterday we were finally back in this traditional, wonderful, beautiful beer garden, under new management. For years we've been surprised that this beer garden wasn't really well managed and now it just looks more professional. The tables are set with small blankets and plants, the food is good, the chicken was fried a little too long, but tasted very good, the Obatzde tastes too strong for me personally, but these are nuances and are a matter of taste. We are very happy to have a great beer garden in Aubing again and if the beer gets 2 degrees colder, we will definitely drink a little more. Thanks to all employees for the successful start.

Ein wunderschöner Biergarten mit schöner Restaurantterasse. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Küche ist allerdings unterirdisch. Ich hatte ein völlig ungenießbares Böfflamott. Das Fleisch war hart, trocken und zäh und hat nach altem Leder geschmeckt. Die Sauce war ekelhaft. Dito die Serviettenknödel- die waren trocken und mit einem chemischen Geschmack (Ammoniak?) hinterlegt. Es war mit Abstand das schlechteste und ekelerregendste Essen an das ich mich erinnern kann. Entweder war das ein fünfmal aufgewärmtes Convinience food, das schon angegammelt war oder der Koch sabotiert seinen Wirt. Leider war mir dann zwei Stunden übel und konnte mich dann Gottseidank übergeben. Grundsätzlich kann jeder mal einen schlechten Tag haben. Aber so etwas an einen Gast herauszugeben, lässt darauf schließen, dass dem Koch Wohlbefinden und Gesundheit seiner Gäst völlig egal sind. Der Pächterwechsel ist gründlich misslungen!

Every summer we go to the Aubinger Retreat. Yesterday we were there for the opening. The Currywurst beer garden is a disgrace and extortion. I paid €9.50 for fries that were half cooked and a lukewarm sausage with an indefinable sauce with curry powder! They're still heavy on my stomach!

It's nice that the Aubinger Refreshment is open again, but eating at the bar in the beer garden absolutely suffered. The Obazter tasteless, unsalted fries, curry sauce tastes more like tomato sauce with a hint of curry... Sorry, that was miles better. In the future, just bring your own snack (when we come back).

The many positive comments and ratings are true. We liked it, the food was good, the atmosphere was very nice.

I would currently give it 4.5 stars :) there is still room for improvement when it comes to food, around 5 stars. But we were very satisfied, very nice staff!

We had the pleasure of visiting Zur Aubinger Einkehr and absolutely loved our experience. Reopened under new management after a year break, this place has done everything right. From the exceptional cooking to the exquisite taste of the food, from the stylish decor to the welcoming ambience - everything was impeccable. Particularly noteworthy is the outstanding service, which we haven't experienced for a long time. A beautiful old inn in Aubing, which has been attractively furnished with lots of wood. The food (cordon bleu) was also good. But it's not possible to advertise many payment options on the homepage, but then only want cash on site. This leads to a point deduction.

Ein sehr schönes und uriges Restaurant. Der Besitzer sehr freundlich und schnelle Bedienung. Essen war perfekt, lecker und Preis Leistung top! Nicht überlaufen, einzig Parkplätze zu finden ist nicht einfach. Sehr leckere Auswahl und große Portionen und auch vegetarisch gab es. Günstiger als im Zentrum München

Eigentlich schön, aber insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Das Essen, wir hatten Schweinebraten, war nicht gut, der "Braten" war eher gekocht ohne Kruste und schmeckte aufgewärmt. Der Obazte war on aber kleine Portion. Das Ambiente ist schön etwas zu weitläufig.

War gestern nach Jahren Mal wieder in der Aubinger Einkehr. Hab echt Bauklötze gestaunt was 1 Portion Pommes kosten. 1 Hand voll 4.10€ Alle Achtung ! Stolzer Preis, da hab ich es mir echt verkniffen welche zu essen. Biergarten aber ist immer noch schön

Wir gehen gern dort hin, wenn auch nicht all zu oft. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist nicht so groß, aber idR ausreichend und jeder findet etwas und man kann auch die Bestandteile der Gerichte mischen :) die Flexibilität ist sehr schön. Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung, vor allem da es frisch zubereitet wird. Es ist nicht so riesig im Biergarten und auch innen und etwas versteckt gelegen, wodurch es sehr idyllisch ist. Ein kleiner Spielplatz für Kinder ist dabei und ausreichend Bäume, die Schatten bieten.

UNFASSBAR ! PÄCHTERWECHSEL !! Nachdem ich 2 Getränke geholt und bezahlt hatte wollte ich noch eine Kleinigkeit zum Essen! Während der Bestellung hat eine Frau die die Bestellung entgegennahm ( ich dachte erst das es die Küchenhilfe ist ) total genervt mit bösartigen Blicken mir die Pommes „hingeschmissen“ .. gut .. ich hatte da noch zu gute Laune und habe das übergangen .. dann fragte ich ob ich Mayonnaise haben kann .. wieder mit wirklich bösartigen Kommentar und Gesten bekommen … dann muss man ja beim Biergarten gleich bezahlen !! JETZT KOMMT ES : Dann hat diese Frau mich mit extrem schlechten Deutsch regelrecht angekeift das ich jetzt nicht zahlen kann .. WIE BITTE ? Gehts noch ??? ( den Rest ihres unverschämten Textes habe ich nicht verstanden) wie wäre es mit : Die Kasse ist gerade nicht besetzt , bitte zahlen sie später !! gewesen ??? DANN WAR MEINE GUTE LAUNE WEG .. ich bin dann diese aggressive, unsympathische Frau auch angegangen das sie ihren Ton senken sollte .. wobei es dann zu einer verbalen Auseinandersetzung kam ! UNGLAUBLICH!!! Nachdem der Mann der anscheinend für die Getränke zuständig war .. sprach ich ihn an wer denn diese Frau ist .. DAS WAR SEINE MUTTER !!! Dann meinte ( ganz der Sohn seiner Mutter) noch das ich im falschen Lokal bin ! Neee .. .. Fehler !! ihr seid in der falschen Branche !! Das sind die neuen Pächter ?!!! Ein echter Abstieg für dieses Lokal .. VOLLKOMMENE FEHLBESETZUNG.. Macht was anderes ! Gastronomie ist definitiv nichts für solche unhöfliche Personen den so ziemlich alles abgeht was man als Gastronom braucht.. Danach erst habe ich von einem Bekannten gehört … mit dem ich mich über diese Sache unterhalten habe …. das ich nicht die Ausnahme bin .. seine Familie lebt seit Jahrzehnten in der Nähe.. und meiden seit dem Wechsel diesen unhöflichen Ort .. PS : was ja auch nicht uninteressant ist Das Essen das in der Vitrine war findet man in jedem Supermarkt liebevoller angerichtet !! Da bieten diese Leute einen Emmentaler Teller für 6 Euro an ! Der Käse ist in Würfel auf dem Teller gehäuft .. sonst NIX .... ah ja .. ne Plastikfolie ist drüber ! Never ..

Im Restaurant war das Essen soweit immer in ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Im Biergarten fanden wir die warmen Gerichte nicht gut. Schweinebraten war zeh, kein guter Geschmack und die Knödel wie Gummi :(

Typischer Münchner Biergarten. Kleiner Spielplatz für Kinder und wirklich nie überlaufen. Sehr idyllisch mit den Kastanienbäumen. Und nicht so teuer wie manch andere Biergärten in München.

Spareribs waren nichts besonderes leider und viel zu salzig aber das Ambiente und das Personal sowie der Biergarten an sich waren toll. Wir kommen gerne wieder alleine für den leckeren obatzda 😋

Leider im Biergarten immer noch nicht Bargeldloses Zahlen möglich. Ja es gibt hier verschiedene Ansichten aber gehört zum absoluten Standart und sollte angeboten werden. Also immer genügend Bares dabei haben. Das eine Weinschorle in Helles Gläsern eingeschenkt wird naja sage ich Mal jetzt nichts dazu. Obatzter könnte besser gewürzt sein. Aber alles im allen gehe ich gerne hin weil es gemütlich ist

This is becoming one of our places to go with family and friends when they visit. Food is always tasty and enough, and service is always friendly. Never had a problem with space although we usually come after hours.

Super gemütlicher Biergarten mit typischen für Biergarten üblichen Speisen und Getränken (Selbstbedienung) in sehr guter Qualität. Schattenspendende Bäume und angrenzendes Gewässer sorgen für angenehmes Klima.

Essen gut, aber nichts besonderes. Biergarten sehr groß und mit Kinder gut geeignet.

Der Schweinebraten mit Knödel, Blaukraut und Sauce war hervorragend. Die Nachspeise, Palatschinken mit Vanille, Eis Schokolade und Schlagobers hat ebenfalls sehr gut gemundet. Einfache Gerichte, aber hervorragend zubereitet, ein Hochgenuss! Der Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und kompetent. Der Saal im Nebenraum war brechend voll, und trotzdem wurde sich für mich alleine ausreichend Zeit für einen guten Gesamtablauf genommen. Ich war sehr zufrieden und komme gerne wieder. Dankeschön 🤩
