Unbelievable! I placed an order through UBER Eats. 20 minutes before the delivery date, the order was canceled by the pub on the grounds that there were delivery problems. Great!

Visit to the beer garden: April 14, 2024 Going there specifically to eat would be a bit excessive, but taking it with you on a tour is always possible. Because of the nice weather, the beer garden was full, but the staff was understaffed, which led to a longer waiting time. The nice waitress was very confident and served us excellently despite the hustle and bustle. Good food, comfortable seating. Always worth a visit.

I was there for a group, so I didn't do any research beforehand. First let's talk about the few good things. The location is very good. The beer garden and the interior are very nice. Apparently there is a hospital nearby because an ambulance with a siren drove past us every few minutes. The toilets are the part where the beauty ends. I had roast pork, I wanted to cancel the coleslaw and asked if I could have a dumpling or something instead of the coleslaw. No, neither unsubscribe nor exchange. This was the first time in a restaurant that such a special request was not respected. As dumplings you get a potato and a bread dumpling. Both were not good. The bread dumpling was very dry, but the taste was good if you like too much parsley. The potato dumpling was even worse. It was also dry, but even worse, it was tasteless. I worked in catering, in kitchens, for many years and both dumplings didn't look homemade. Or the potato dumplings seemed to me as if they had been made from a cheap ready-made dumpling mix. I think the bread dumplings were bought pre-made. But that doesn't mean I would say they aren't completely homemade. I mean I don't know. I just believe that's how it is. The sauce is similar. Either they have done a really good job of filtering out all the caraway residues and stuff in a homemade sauce, or the sauce is simply a ready-made sauce. Same here. I don't know how it was prepared. It just seems that way to me. The meat. Way too tough. So, for a roast pork. There was a lot of it. There was some crust, but a very soggy one. Lots of fat on the meat. I'll keep it short, it was the worst roast pork I've ever had, and I'm including pork legs and Franconian Schäufele here. We didn't have a problem with slow service that day. But there wasn't that much going on either. My table neighbors were happy as soon as I noticed. I also ate some of the currywurst fries and they were good. So it may well be that you can find good food there. And as long as you don't go to the toilet, it's very nice to sit there and drink a few beers. You just have to deal with the fact that an ambulance with a siren drives by every few minutes. I hope that my group will choose another location next time. Which is a shame, because it would have been a short walk here relative to the other places we've always been.

The food was great and the garden was beautifully decorated

Very nice staff, good food, nice atmosphere, great large rooms for meetings. The only problem is the parking spaces. Here you have to search and be very lucky, or it's best to come directly by public transport.😁👍

Theoretically a nice beer garden, but unkempt. Unfortunately, the service is usually bad (today we had to wait about 15 minutes for draft beer, even though there was little going on). The food is okay, but the menu is manageable and the service is not good here either (today you had to take care of your own cutlery, mayonnaise and ketchup). Conclusion: Great location, poor service, quality okay

Our visit to this beer garden was very disappointing. Even though there were only five tables occupied, we had to wait 25 minutes for our beer. When we wanted to order fries, we were told that this was only allowed for children - really outrageous at a price of €7.90. Despite the almost empty beer garden, the table next door had to wait 40 minutes for their food and then had to get their own cutlery and napkins. The beer garden was unkempt and run down. Apparently they're just relying on the good location to the Gasteig HP8, but for an Augustiner restaurant that's really disappointing.

Not recommended, a simple plate of fries is not possible, no accomodation

After 10 minutes of waiting, the waitress showed us the table - no, the inn wasn't even remotely full. The waiting time for drinks to be ordered was another 10 minutes. The food could only be ordered as a main course; it was recommended to avoid starters. The food was worse than in the large canteen. The ready-made sauce for the roast pork was partly not completely dissolved and was much too thick. The meat was very mixed. The waitress made some inappropriate jokes at the end. Conclusion: once and never again. Very unfortunate.

For the second time we don't get a plate of fries. Even when we asked to move the currywurst fries to a separate plate, we were rudely refused. Profit is the top priority here, unfortunately the customers come last! We prefer to go to Ludwig’s in the Vis-a-Vis pub!

It seems that a simple plate of fries is too much to ask and exceeds the chef's abilities. Even after several requests as to whether the currywurst and fries could be divided onto different plates, they vehemently refused - for whatever reason?!

Very nice service, nice, rustic beer garden, currywurst was okay, although I prefer red sausage. Easily accessible via the Isar cycle path.

We've been sitting in the hall for an hour this evening and haven't been allowed to place our food order yet. The program is about to start and if we're lucky, we'll get two performances for one ticket today! Once “The Blind Angel” and then maybe “The main thing is paragraph” In any case, I have rarely seen such a disorganized store! If I actually want to look at something here again, I will follow the advice of our table neighbors and satisfy my hunger somewhere else first.

We actually wanted to go to another beer garden, but unfortunately it was closed because the weather was too uncertain. As a plan B, we went here. In short, we pretty much regretted this decision. Food wasn't particularly good. The cheese spaetzle were the worst. No idea what that was supposed to be. At first we thought it was a bad joke and we got mac and cheese or something similar. But it turned out that it was simply a plate of spaetzle and just a mushy mush of cream and cheese powder on top. This dish had nothing to do with cheese spaetzle. Normally you learn the original food in the first half of the vocational school... 🫠 in this form it should urgently be taken off the menu. If you order fries here you automatically get the larger and much more expensive ones, even though it was mentioned several times at the beginning that you weren't very hungry and the small portion was enough. Drinks are poorly poured.

We had dinner at the inn. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good and we've rarely eaten so badly. We had the spare ribs and a cheeseburger. Only 2-3 of the spare ribs were fresh. The rest was warmed up. Very dry and hard to get off the bone, if at all. They were also drowned in a strange tasting red sauce. The cheeseburger also had too much cocktail sauce. It also tasted partly burnt. And the bun was cold. The restaurant is not recommended for eating. Service was ok, but nothing more.

Very bad bar. Apparently they don't serve dark shandy and then I was just charged with a bottle without a bottle opener and without a glass for 5.50. Insane impudence. Take a closer look at the fat foreigner and how he deals with the leaders.

--Blind Angel-- Dinner in the dark at the Wirtshaus zum Isartal An exceptional dinner with some drawbacks. The two of us were guests at the Wirtshaus zum Isartal to have dinner in the dark. You are served a four-course meal, albeit in complete darkness. The waiters are blind or visually impaired people. The two waiters present that evening did an excellent job and also answered very personal questions about their history and everyday life. Unfortunately, the dining experience was anything but outstanding. One could have expected amazing creations and intensely flavored and interesting dishes - especially given that, for once, the eye is not eating. Instead there was standard food that my grandma could have cooked better. The dessert consisted of various pieces of fruit (including oranges with peel - very sensible in absolute darkness) and what was supposed to be strawberry sauce. We found out later that the ice had long since melted. In the middle of it all was a mini-mini piece of cake. Their espresso wasn't convincing either - it tasted sour and arrived at our table cold. In summary, it's a great experience - but if you're a culinary discerner, you shouldn't have high expectations of the menu on offer.

A real Munich tavern, but the food! We wanted to eat and drink something before a concert in HP8. And to put it bluntly: The inn is a very inviting place, inside and out. A theater hall is used for small performances and the garden is magnificent. A young woman was responsible for the service outside, and because there was nothing going on inside (only in the theater hall, another waiter) and the garden was only moderately full, we were served quickly and very friendly. Thanks. The drinks were fine, only the coffee had a strange taste and caused real stomach problems after a few minutes. Then came the schnitzel, unfortunately a disgrace for 17.90, because the two pieces didn't come with a fluffy breading (move the pan!), the meat wasn't tender, the fries, strangely sprayed or seasoned, hung weakly on the edge of the plate after three minutes, the potato salad had a really strange unpleasant taste. In our opinion the price is not justified. This is absolutely SUBJECTIVE and perhaps we are the only ones who think that this meal deserves the grade of unsatisfactory, others probably eat it with pleasure.

I wanted to eat here with my son at 8:45 p.m. today, April 8th, 2024. The waiter told me that there was only currywurst with fries, salad or soup as the grill was already closed. I then asked how it worked because I could order everything from their restaurant through Lieferando until 10 p.m. Answer: “ Lieferando is a local” “We forgot to turn Lieferando off” I then asked if they made the orders somewhere else? He then walked away without a word. The currywurst was ok.

Good food and drinks because Augustiner beer. But horrible service. We've been there several times and the conditions, at least in the beer garden, were always very slow and listless.

Oh well. Have eaten better Bavarian cuisine. The cheese spaetzle is a disgrace. The roast pork is okay. If you can't find space in the location opposite, you can do it here. But beer is great.

Inside in winter: Nice and fast service, excellent bread dumplings with mushrooms (best I've ever eaten), cozy-okay atmosphere. But beware of the Kässpatzn! Absolute disaster! A few crumbs of rubber in a slightly sour cheese soup. I recommended taking them off the map.

My wife, who is vegan, and my son want fries because there is nothing else vegan on the menu apart from lettuce. Short version: either you eat a schnitzel or you don't eat anything! There are only no fries! This store is absolutely not recommended

Service outrageous! We had a reservation on March 17th. in the afternoon for two people, as we had concert tickets for the Isarphilharmonie at 4 p.m. The restaurant was very well attended. The beer came very quickly, the waiter said it might take a while to order. No problem, we thought. After we asked several times, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, when we might be able to order slowly, the service man said it would still take a while, we could see he was busy. A family with two children in the middle of the room (who came 10 minutes after us) were served by a different waiter right from the start, all four of them had already had their food and had almost finished it. Why can't our service man do that?? After 45 minutes, the people at the table next to us also wanted to order food, waited forever like us, drank their beer and left without eating, they are now going next door, that is taking too long for them--- very understandable! We asked again at the counter when we could finally order. Now the service man became really rude: he told us it could take a while, despite reservation. In a tone that made everything disappear for us, we paid for our beer and left hungry and very disappointed. Wirtshaus zum Isartal never again, we were there often, for beer, for meatballs, for burgers, but not now after this most unpleasant afternoon - worst service far and away broad !

Good food, nice, fast service Top

Unfortunately the quality of the food was rather low. My veggie burger was drenched in a cheap sauce, with a fat slice of cucumber and a huge piece of onion randomly slapped on top. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. Everything was mixed up with the bill too.

There were four of us plus the dog. The service was friendly and in a good mood (joking from/on both sides). Thank you for your hospitality, see you again soon. Maybe to one of the numerous events?! PS @google: we were only in the restaurant. In my review I am supposed to answer “hotel questions”.

Landed here by chance and am very happy with the food!! The roast pork was very tasty and came to the table quickly. I would love to come here again. Recommended without reservation!!

The waiter's statement that a portion of fries as an additional side dish to a main course is not possible because it is a children's meal and I, as an adult, am not allowed to order one, deserves this rating.

The place inside looks ok, not too big but enough tables. We visited during a weekend night and perhaps the service people were tired or upset, not sure. But we waited more than 15 minutes and although some of them walked around our table no one dared to ask if we needed anything and not even removed the glasses left but the previous customers. After a hopeless wait we needed to leave. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have free time to spend. What surprises me is that a previous reviewer said something similar and the business instead of trying to improve threatened the reviewer with reporting her/him to Google for some reason. Not a good sign. Sorry, again, maybe the personal was tired but that does not mean the customer is guilty.

Ich habe durchaus Verständnis für Stress in der Gastronomie. Aber wenn ich 3 Wochen im Vorfeld einen Tisch für 10 Personen persönlich, online + mail bestelle, hätte ich Diesen auch gerne. Wenn man sich dann beschwert weil es schon zum zweiten Mal nicht geklappt hat, wird man zur Strafe schwerlich bedient. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin. Sicher aber egal, da die Wirtschaft auf Grund der Lage gegenüber dem HP8 Gasteig ein Eigenläufer ist.

La comida de Munich tiene en éste Restaurante uno de los sitios que mejor la representa. La comida deliciosa y con raciones abundantes, el lugar acogedor, muy buen servicio y un precio accesible hubicado en contra esquina de la Filarmonica Isar es el lugar ideal para comer o cenar después de un concierto.

Eigentlich wäre es ein uriges,nettes Lokal..,aber zu wenig Personal. Mein Essen war eine Katastrophe. Das Theater war anfangs nervig, allerdings der 3.Akt hat mich mit allem versöhnt .

Wie waren schnell für ein Bier & Obatzta dort. Prompte Bedienung, leckeres Essen. Alles gut.

Die Tischreservierung hat online gut geklappt. Die Lage ist für Konzertbesucher der Isarphilharmonie perfekt und auch das Essen, wir hatten Camembert, Gulasch und Gänsebraten, war sehr lecker. Allein die Kellnerin war etwas verschlafen und wirkte leicht überfordert. Trotzdem alles in allem ein gemütlicher Abend nach einem wunderschönen Konzert.

Wurden sehr gut bedient. Essen war wieder sehr gut.( War früher nicht so gut). Kellner sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Sitzgelegenheit besser als früher. Macht so weiter.

Wir waren gestern Abend dort essen obwohl es an einem Freitag voll war, ist der Kellner super nett Gewesen Top essen, super Ambiente, Vor allem top Kellner, wir kommen definitiv wieder. 😊

Die Knödel zur Ente waren schrecklich, und lagen wahrscheinlich schon ewig im Wasser. Bei 20,90 erwarte ich eigentlich, dass die Knödel frisch sind. Blaukraut kann man aufwärmen, Fleisch nochmal in den Grill, da kann man ja nicht ne Stunde warten. Aber so ein Knödel ist in 15 Minuten fertig, oder ich mach 2 kleinere. Burger war gut und reichlich bei 15,90€. Mit 19% MwSt sind das dann 23,50 und knapp 18 Euro...

Absoluter Geheimtipp! Gemütlicher Biergarten, sehr sehr leckeres Essen, schneller, total freundlicher, herzlicher Service (Heiko hatte uns bedient). Hier fühlt man sich einfach rundum wohl! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder

Mal wieder einen gemütlichen und leckeren Spätsommernachmittag im wunderschönen Biergarten verbracht, den Heiko mit seinem charmanten Service perfekt gemacht hat.

Ambiente draußen sehr schön, das ist aber auch alles.

Absoluter Tipp. Im Biergarten taucht man ab. Schön bepflanzt, gemütlich und man merkt nicht, dass man direkt am Ring ist. Essen lecker und preise absolut in Ordnung. Super nette Bedienung

Netter Biergarten und nicht so überfüllt. Trotz Nähe zur Kreuzung ist es im Inneren relativ ruhig.

Vier Sterne wegen dem Biergarten und Personal, Essen ist Durchschnitt, ok aber ausbaufähig. Ich war zum Abendessen im Biergarten, nicht im Hotel

Es war früher ein toller Biergarten mit gutem Service, aber es wird immer schlechter. Kaum Personal und wenn dann die Gäste kommen, z.b. vom Gasteig gegenüber, dann funktioniert gar nichts mehr. Essen ist auch nicht gerade der Brüller.

Wir waren jetzt zweimal dort und beide Male sehr enttäuscht von der Qualität des Essens. 1. Käsespätzle: Das waren Spätzle mit Sahnesoße lieblos auf einem Teller verteilt. Gerade, dass die Soße nicht über den Tellerrand hinaus gelaufen ist. Mit Käsespätzle hatte es jedenfalls nichts zu tun. 2. Schweinshaxe: Das Fleisch hat einfach nicht gut/frisch geschmeckt. Das Essen ist nicht empfehlenswert.

Leider war das Essen. In meinem Fall spareribs richtig schlecht. Service war auch überfordert.

Schöner Biergarten. Die Bedienung war trotz viel Stress freundlich. Dass die Bestellung mal länger dauert schieb ich mal auf den akkuten Personalmangel. Das Essen war durchschnittlich.

War diesen "Sommer" nach Neugestaltung des Biergartens (auch Innenräume Restaurant, Versammlungen, Veranstaltungen) das erste Mal mit meinem Arzt (Freund!) dort. Und auch: ordentliche Toiletten, in letzter Zeit nicht "normal"... Service sehr gut, Essen preiswerter als in "Gastrobetrieben" die sich auf HP8- Besuchern gefreut hatten und den entsprechenden Preisen... Und selbst ein SB-Biergarten in der Nähe (Grossbetrieb) ist teurer....!

Sehr empfehlenswert! Ganz toller Neustart mit super Essen und super Service! Schönes traditionsreiches Gasthaus mit tollem Biergarten in München. Schön dass es sowas gibt! Danke an den Wirt! Mach weiter so! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder und freuen uns aufs gute Essen.
