🍔☀️ Update Juni 2026: Gelungene Pause im Tierpark – jetzt mit erfrischendem Neuzugang im Sortiment! 🍺🌾 Das Marché Marktplatz-Restaurant bleibt für mich eine verlässliche Anlaufstelle für eine Pause beim Flanieren durch den Tierpark. Das Ambiente nach der Sanierung ist wirklich gelungen – viel Holz, hell und modern-rustikal. Besonders schön sitzt man im Außenbereich (Biergarten), während die Kinder auf dem angrenzenden Abenteuerspielplatz toben können. Das Speisenangebot ist vielfältig und frisch: Von der klassischen bayerischen Küche über Pasta bis hin zu einer tollen Auswahl an Salaten, Säften und hausgemachten Kuchen ist alles dabei. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis geht für einen so prominenten Ort in München absolut in Ordnung. Sommer-Update Juni 2026: Ein großes Lob für das aktualisierte Getränkesortiment! Schön, dass das neue, absolut hippe alkoholfreie Helle der Augustinerbräu München mit ins Programm aufgenommen wurde. 🍺✨ Bei den aktuell tropischen Temperaturen ist dieses eiskalte, alkoholfreie Bier der ideale und erfrischende Durstlöscher im Biergarten! ☀️💧 Einziges Manko weiterhin: Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist stark tagesformabhängig und scheint oft vom aktuellen Besucheransturm beeinflusst zu werden. An stressigen Tagen merkt man die Hektik deutlich. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, man bekommt alles was man will.

Überteuert und kein Service das Essen schmeckt wie normale fertig Gerichte und ist dafür sehr Überteuert zudem wird kein freundlicher servic geboten schade das der zoo da nichts gegen unternimmt verdient wahrscheinlich gut mit

Leider enttäuschend. Die Pommes wirkten auf mich nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern eher so, als wären sie bereits einige Zeit vorher frittiert und vor dem Servieren nur noch einmal kurz in der Fritteuse aufgefrischt worden. Auch die Currywurst machte auf mich den Eindruck, schon länger warmgehalten worden zu sein. Für die aufgerufenen Preise hätte ich eine frischere Zubereitung und insgesamt bessere Qualität erwartet. Wirklich überzeugen konnten am Ende nur die verschlossenen Getränke aus der Kühlung.

Wir waren da und haben Kaffee und Kuchen gegessen. Beides war sehr lecker.

Besser eigenes Essen in den Zoo mitbringen. Wir hatten Currywurst mit Pommes, eine separate Portion Pommes sowie Rösti mit Frischkäse bzw. Sauerrahm. Alle Gerichte waren nur kalt oder lauwarm und kaum genießbar. Die Currywurst war offensichtlich vorgegart, abgekühlt und anschließend wieder aufgewärmt, sodass die Haut mit dem Messer nur schwer zu schneiden war. Hinzu kommen ein überteuertes Kantinen-Flair und lieblos ausgegebene Speisen. Und an der Kasse wird noch über das Kartenterminal um Trinkgeld gebeten – trotz Selbstbedienung!

Das ist momentan der einzige geöffnete Laden im Zoo. Das Essen ist absolut furchtbar.

Essen und Preise waren in Ordnung, die Gerichte haben geschmeckt und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt. Allerdings finde ich die Trinkgeldabfrage an der Kasse unangemessen. Vor dem Bezahlen stand bereits eine Auswahlmöglichkeit, zusätzlich aktiv nach Trinkgeld gefragt zu werden, wirkt aufdringlich und hinterlässt einen negativen Eindruck. Trinkgeld sollte freiwillig bleiben.

A very diverse selection at reasonable prices. There's essentially a children's area with a play tower, etc., and a quieter area for older guests.

Depending on the day and the weather, it is either super relaxed and empty or full, but there is usually always something to eat, the indoor play area is practical

Potatoes not cooked, semi raw, sauce is bland, but the meat was alright made. I wouldn’t eat for the food here, more for convenience and the necessity to have to eat.

This spot has the most desserts in the entire zoo. Lots of food options, plenty to drink and you can eat within view of the play ground. Also plenty of shade if you are looking to cool down.

We were here in the afternoon on a spring weekday (lots of spots available). It is a very nice beer garden with plenty of seating including a large children's playground (also for older children). There is a wide range of vegetarian and normal dishes. The rösti with grilled vegetables and the salad plate were great. Mushrooms and goulash also looked very good at the next table. Everything is reasonably priced and, above all, not the usual fast food selection. I especially have to praise the very friendly staff at the food counter and at the checkout - really great!

Probably the best place in the zoo to eat properly and rest. Price wise completely okay; In contrast to €15 pizzas, €8-10 cold schnitzels, currywurst with fries or €6 cake slices, the prices here are really reasonable and cheaper than those mentioned above.

Nothing famous, but if you're hungry or thirsty, it's quite acceptable as a zoo restaurant with “Munich price levels”

Updated kids menu is quite poor. The most popular dish with kids being schnitzel is no longer on the menu. This is quite unpleasant and sad. Encourages us to bring food from home instead of buying from the restaurant.

I find this restaurant to be anything but pleasant and family-friendly. It's crowded, loud, and hectic. It's almost impossible to eat in peace with children. I also find the prices outrageously high; see photo and receipt. At least during my visit on January 4, 2025, there were no vegetarian main courses available; we were offered fries.

Relaxing with children isn't easy. The trays are small, the hustle and bustle is intense, space is limited, and prices are high. The play area seems to provide some relief, but it distracted the children from their food. The schnitzel was not tasty, the cream mushrooms were OK, and the bread dumpling was very dense.

For a zoo restaurant, the food and cakes are surprisingly good, and the atmosphere is also pleasant. A huge step forward compared to the past. A big plus: the fantastic playground, which you can see from the terrace. Fantastic!

We had 1 normal schnitzel, where 1 schnitzel was not cooked through and the other had no taste. Potato salad was OK. Children's schnitzel was a bit better. Price 16 euros too much for such quality. The kids menu was also too expensive at 8 euros. Coffee was very good and also the panacotta. Salad buffet looked very good. But I can't say what the quality is or how it tastes. The bill included a kids menu, coffee with milk, panacotta and 1x 0.5 adelholzener for 23 euros. Quite expensive.

Were there for brunch in the morning. Very large selection of hot and cold cuisine. Very friendly staff and everything tasted wonderful. Will come back.

Bottle of Augustiner in self-service €5.20😂 That beats the most expensive restaurants in Munich. You have to do it👍🏾 The well-known Marché Mövenpick price/performance disparity sends its regards.

We're annual pass holders. We actually come here every time we visit. The location is great, especially because of the playground. The food is usually good. The kids' menu could be improved! The same price for a kids' schnitzel with fries as for a portion of pasta with tomato sauce. Depending on what the kids want to eat, €7.90 for pasta (a small portion!) is quite expensive! Including a small apple spritzer. The cost of goods here is maybe 0.50. We asked for a small refill of pasta. Was refused with the comment "everything is expensive"! Thank you very much! Very friendly! A little leniency would be nice here! Very good coffee! Note! The same price for the fully automatic coffee machine as for the portafilter, where the quality is far better.

The pork crust roast for €15.90 is quite ok, a large portion with 2 bread dumplings. But the dumplings are the worst I've ever eaten, tasteless and very solid (probably a finished product). Inedible! The schnitzel with fries was much better.

If you're looking for something to eat quickly and without much effort at the zoo, you'll find it here. However, the meals are much more visually appealing than their quality: in my opinion, the taste is at the level of an inferior canteen. As a result, the price-performance ratio is clearly at an imbalance. Portion sizes have also shrunk in recent years. A few years ago there was significantly more on the plate, especially when it came to children's portions. The lowest point for me was an extremely unfriendly employee at the veggie buffet who, with a dark look and sharp words, made sure that not one too many slices of radish ended up on the plate. However, the staff at other service stations in the restaurant were friendly and courteous. The biggest advantage of the restaurant is without a doubt the cozy beer garden in front of it, which is also right next to the adventure playground. Conclusion: There are pros and cons, but for me personally the other restaurants in the zoo are the better alternatives.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but we had the goulash and the children's pasta with tomato sauce and the food was very good. The play area for the little ones alone is perfect so that you can eat in peace and enjoy world-class coffee =)

Unfortunately one of the worst meals (currywurst and schnitzel, several in the group, everyone had the same opinion) that we have ever eaten. Very nice staff.

Essen sieht super aus,schmeckt leider nach nix. Das schlechteste Schnitzel das ich je hatte. Veggie Pasta war unterirdisch, Babynahrung ist deutlich besser gewürzt. Gulasch und Semmeknedl.... Keine Ahnung was man noch såg'n sóll. Für den ,nicht günstigen, Preis, bin ich sicher, wir werden nie wieder zum Essen einkehren. Fazit: nicht empfehlenswert !

Gutes schönes Restaurant im Tierpark Hellabrunn in München. Das Essen ist gut aber mehr im Bereich Bistro als von der Qualität von einem Restaurant. Plätze sind oft Mangelware im Restaurant. Die Lautstärke ist oft sehr hoch da hier viele Eltern mit ihren Kindern sind.

They have vegetarian options, but nothing seemed interesting so in the end I did not eat anything. They at least had a vegetarian kids menu. Cakes also did not look good at all. It doesn't happen too often that I'm not interested in desert.
