Bratwurst Röslein in Nürnberg

A warm welcome. We got a table immediately for a group of 7, without a reservation. And that was at lunchtime, on the first Sunday of Advent.

Excellent German restaurant! We ate there today as a couple and were really pleasantly surprised. I had a Wiener Schnitzel (veal) with warm, homemade potato salad, and a beef roulade with dumplings and salad. You can immediately tell that everything is fresh, and I have to say, I haven't had such a good schnitzel in a long time. The roulade was also incredibly tender and tasted fantastic. I personally can't understand some of the negative reviews. In times of rising food prices, you can't expect rock-bottom prices for high-quality, freshly cooked dishes. Here, the value for money is absolutely right. The dining room is clean and spacious, the staff is friendly, plentiful, and very efficient. Our dishes arrived fresh from the kitchen in no time. Authentic, truly excellent German food, the kind you rarely find these days. If we're ever in Nuremberg again, we'll definitely come back. Highly recommended!

A quaint inn with traditional dishes like pork knuckle and pork shoulder... with sauerkraut. The potato casserole was excellent. The name says it all. Among other things, they have 20 different Nuremberg sausages on the menu at once.

Our waiter, Dennis, was very informative and super personable. The portion sizes were MASSIVE even for us Americans. We highly recommend the strudel for dessert. :)

Great restaurant. Excellent service; they even prepared food after 9:30 pm even though the kitchen was officially closed.

We were able to get seated even though we didn't have reservations. But I would advise getting reservations. The food and service were excellent. Went there on back to back nights and wasn't disappointed!

At 9:30 p.m., only bratwurst was left. The plates are an outrage; you can't even cut a sausage in them because they don't stand up properly.

I stumbled upon this place by chance while strolling through Nuremberg in winter. It's a very charming establishment, decorated in a German style. You could even say it's beautiful. However, I wasn't particularly fond of the food, and the presentation wasn't great either. I ordered six Nuremberg sausages and half a portion of braised cabbage and potato salad. The dish was served on a terrible metal, almost aluminum, plate. It's a 4-star rating. The beer is good. I recommend visiting once. The service is very good. Everyone is very friendly.

I came across this place through the coffee voucher I received on the city tour! I saw the exorbitant prices and left. Luckily, there are other places with good quality at reasonable prices.

The sausages were delicious until a few years ago. Now they're ground very finely and scalded before frying. It's a shame; it's just not acceptable if you're from Nuremberg.

We came here because we did a train tour and they gave us a free coffee. The server here is the most rude person I’ve met in all of Germany. He was wearing a red an white plaid shirt either a tattoo on the back of his right hand. The young woman with blonde hair and a white wristband on her watch was very nice, she was amazing.

Hello everyone, we were there on a business trip with colleagues from Austria. The service was very good and they were also flexible regarding changes to the menu. The food arrived super fast and was really good for the size of the restaurant. It would be nice if, as a Franconian restaurant, they offered a better selection of local beers.

The service is quick, even though it's a large restaurant with many tables. You can go without a reservation; they usually seem to give you a table. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is good. Recommended.

A great restaurant to hit up if you're hungry and with a large group. if you're craving sausages, you can order different quantities based on your hunger. We were pretty hungry, so we went with the 20 option. we started with the oz broth and I highly recommend you get it.

Gr8 place to hangout and German style eating

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to write one. The service was awful. It was the last day of my trip to Germany, and I went in hoping for a typically German meal. When I went in and told the waiter I was alone, he said, "Wait a moment," and made me wait a few minutes. Then, four other customers entered, and the waiter let them through, leaving me behind. When I explained that I was there first, he was expressionless and rude, saying, "Wait a moment," and after a short wait, I was finally able to sit down. This time, I ordered from a different waiter, but he was expressionless and rude, and glared at me as I left, lol. The waitress repeatedly asked the four Western customers next to me, "How was the food?" with a smile, but was rude to me, and I ended up eating my meal in a terrible mood. Every other restaurant and cafe I went to in Germany had nice staff, and I felt a sense of respect for others. I value that same thing, so honestly, it was so unpleasant that it made me feel really uncomfortable. I wasn't looking for exceptional service, but this was the first time I'd experienced such insulting behavior, and it made me want to write a review. I ended up thinking all sorts of things, wondering if it was because I'm Asian, or if I did something strange, or maybe I didn't, and it's just a bad memory.

The waiter was so rude. The servlce was very bad. Never go again

Excellent service - Half/Half Rostbratwurst, the last one...

We went to this place during the Christmas market on November weekend to warm up a bit. Not only was the food—advertised as local—completely tasteless and extremely expensive, but the staff were also rude. A friend of mine kindly asked if there was a gluten-free option, and the waiter laughed in her face. I understand that the condition may not be very common in Germany, but laughing in someone’s face is really too much. A terrible experience, both in terms of taste and customer service.

Mass processing with cheap goods in a train station atmosphere

I wanted to eat Franconian food, Schäufele (pork shoulder), served 7 minutes after ordering, crackling barely there, soggy fat underneath, meat dry and stringy... the bratwurst were very good. Disappointing.

If you're ever in Nuremberg, you naturally want to try the famous Rostbratwurst (grilled sausages), preferably in a traditional restaurant. What can I say? - Service was fast - The ambiance was reminiscent of a train station pub - Food: the first six sausages with sauerkraut arrived pale and lukewarm (even though we specifically ordered dark and hot ones). With the comment "the chef is new," they were taken back, and two minutes later we received new ones. These arrived a bit darker and warmer, but were bland and rather tasteless. The sauerkraut, however, was sweetish and almost inedible. This isn't meant to sound harsh, but that's our opinion.

I visited Bratwurst Röslein in Nuremberg and was absolutely thrilled! The restaurant has a wonderful Franconian atmosphere – cozy, warm, and very inviting. The famous Nuremberg bratwurst were perfectly seasoned and fresh off the grill, and the side dishes were also delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, even though it was busy. A particularly nice touch: the staff always had a smile on their faces and made sure you felt welcome. The value for money is excellent, and the portion sizes are generous. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Bratwurst Röslein to anyone who wants to enjoy typical Franconian cuisine of the highest quality!

The food was great The restaurant is very big so it can be pretty loud but it is ok. They forgot my dessert and added on the bill but after we told them that we did not received it and we do not want it everything was ok.

We were at your restaurant yesterday and it was an unexpectedly wonderful experience. The drinks arrived quickly, the food was delicious and served promptly, and the waiter was fun and joked with every table. We felt very welcome, even though it was very busy and noisy. Keep up the good work!

A very nice atmosphere. A true original. Definitely worth a visit. The food was good and plentiful. The two of us had the platter with all kinds of meat for just under €30 per person.

Beef roulade was not delicious at all, potatoe ball was the worst ball I have tried in that region so far. I stop going to bavarian restaurants after this experience.

One of the places you can’t miss if you find yourself in Nürnberg. Truly a great experience with very transitional atmosphere. Furthermore people are very friendly and food is excellent.

We expected more from this restaurant. It claims to be the world's largest sausage restaurant, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best. We ordered the Schäufele (pork shoulder) and were quite disappointed because the meat was too dry...a shame...

Excellent Red beer don’t miss!!! Horse radish the best & cabbage excellent with the the right sweetness & acidity !!! For the pork leg delicious & crispy although felt like yesterday’s cooking ( not oven hot & served in 5’) Overall a great experience for tourists & hungry travelers!!! Enjoy

It was our first time at Bratwurst Röslein, and we were very excited because we'd heard so much about it. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The food and drinks arrived very quickly. The food was delicious, especially the sauerkraut, which I really enjoyed. Overall, I would have preferred the food to be a bit hotter. All in all, we were very satisfied and would gladly come back anytime 😀

I had the shovel. It was really plentiful and good. But together with sauerkraut it came to €26, which is quite a lot.

Most traditional bratwurst place in Norberg there is no place like other where you can enjoy traditional food coming from the region like here it’s a huge restaurant with a great offer. I recommend everybody who comes to visit to have at least eight bratwurst and potato salad

The ambiance is actually very nice, but it's very loud. We found it expensive because, for dishes that are typically served with dumplings and red cabbage, you have to order and pay for the red cabbage separately.

If you’re tempted by that “free coffee” coupon after your little tourist city train ride, fine go ahead. But do yourself a favor and avoid the daily special. It’s basically their way of taking out the trash.

Very nice place to enjoy the typical Franconian cuisine with Bratwurst and Kraut. More touristic than eg the Auerbachs Keller in Leipzig yet a must see when in Nuremberg. Prices reasonable, service friendly and multi-lingual 😉 Schäufele was on the table 3 mins. after ordering - record so far.

Fantastic restaurant! We had the schnitzel with fries and salad, and the roulade. The schnitzel is definitely worth the money. It's huge, and the fries are just as generous. A massive portion and incredibly delicious! The roulade was equally excellent! The waiter was also very friendly and attentive! We'll definitely be back!

Two local friends from Nuremberg had highly recommended this restaurant to us, and we weren't disappointed! The food was really delicious. It was quite busy, but we still managed to get a table without a reservation – although we had to share it with other guests. Not for people who just want to have drinks.

Sad... We were fine until we discovered a mouse under the table. After we pointed it out to the two waitresses, they said everything was normal. This response—that it was common to have mice running around underfoot in a restaurant—shocked me. NEVER

Only a tenth of the restaurant was occupied, but we waited half an hour for our order. The waiters simply ignored us.

We were a large group. We can recommend the Schäufele (pork shoulder), the bratwurst, the salads, and the beer. The Wiener Schnitzel could be improved. The potato salad was too mushy for my taste. The Röslein is definitely worth a visit.

It was fine, I've just had much better food in the area. And maybe this is typical restaurant style for the area but it's just a bit loud and busy for me. Also servers will ignore you even if you clearly need something. Also kind of pricey for a casual lunch.

A large but cozy restaurant in the heart of Nuremberg. The food came VERY quickly, a little too quickly for my taste. We had the Nuremberg sausages and Schäufele (pork shoulder) and loved them. Both were truly delicious! The waiter was prompt, but not overly friendly. It was very busy, but things seemed to run smoothly and smoothly. The value for money is impressive.

Good Franconian cuisine in a large dining room. Very crowded, so it's not a small, family-run restaurant. But it's impressive how well the service works together.

Offers a wide selection of traditional Franconian food and is very atmospheric inside, so is great for tourists visiting. However, the service was extremely slow. We were seated for over 30 minutes and still not served and wasn’t too busy. I went up to ask at the front and was told to just wait for the waiter, so eventually had to wave to a waitress to try and grab her attention. Food came quickly enough after we ordered but then again took a long time before we were asked about paying. Just a little more attentiveness or proactivity from the waiters would make a big difference

Simply perfect for Nuremberg and a "must be"

Simply fantastic, the service was very friendly and super fast. The food was also very good. We had the duck and it tasted delicious. We were veeeery satisfied.

The salads were very large. We found it a bit of a shame that almost every side dish was charged extra. While this offered a wide selection, it also made the food seem cheaper than it actually was.

We were there as party of two. Enjoyed the traditional bratwurst with potato salad and Sauerkraut. Really liked their flexibility of having half and half for the sides. Thumbs up 👍

I've been getting my bratwurst rolls here for years, and I think they're the best in all of Nuremberg. The rolls are always fresh, too. I also think the food in the restaurant itself is really good. The service is always friendly and relatively quick. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food.

We went there for lunch and had a very crispy shoulder of pork, just as you'd expect, with a dumpling. The Nuremberg sausage (amazing flavor) with half sauerkraut, half potato salad, and a dumpling with gravy for the kid. We had a really great meal. We finished off with the apple fritters, a more than perfect ending. A look into the open kitchen – everything shines, top notch. The restrooms are perfectly clean! We'd love to come back ❣️ The staff was also very friendly, not to be forgotten 👍❣️
