Bratwurst Röslein in Nürnberg

Tipica birreria tedesca attigua a piazza mercato, ambiente enorme con tavoli disseminati ovunque. Tavoli da 10/12 coperti e tavolini per 2 persone. Bene, su tutti quest'ultimi era presente un biglietto con scritto "riservato sino alle ore 15 00". Considerando che questi tavoli erano numerosi, ma tutti vuoti e che erano ormai le 13.50, ho provato a chiedere più volte a dei camerieri se fosse stato possibile accomodarsi ad uno dei tavoli da due coperti, essendo tutti gli altri tavoli occupati. All'inizio non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta, continuando i camerieri a servire o portare il conto ai numerosi clienti, se non quella di attendere. Ma attendere cosa, visto che eravamo gli unici due avventori in attesa di prendere posto? Dopo circa venti minuti trascorsi in questo modo, nel tentativo inutile di avere una risposta sul da farsi da parte di qualcuno dei camerieri che nel frattempo ci lanciavano occhiatacce, abbiamo pensato bene di cambiare locale! Rispetto del cliente ed educazione uguali a zero!

Der Laden war mal eine gute Location. Zwar immer sehr touristisch, was bei der Lage klar ist, aber recht authentisch. Nun ja, das hat sich leider stark geändert - und nicht positiv. Das Personal eine Katastrophe. Langsam und unfreundlich patzig - keine Ahnung, warum man solche Leute einstellt. Das Essen ist auch schlechter geworden - inzwischn Touristenfrass. Hier fühlt man sich nicht willkommen und man will wohl auch nicht, dass man wiederkommt. Nun ja, Ziel erreicht. es war nicht giftig, aber definitiv verlorene Zeit. Schade.

We’re there on 27th of October for friends&family dinner. Meals were OK but not the best traditional German food dish I have ever eaten. But the problem is the stuff and especially the restaurant manager. We have seen a mouse while we re eating and just tried to let the stuff know but the approach was terrible. Firstly one of senior waiters has come the table and said “ok we know dankeee” and after that the manager came to the table and hit the table like a mafia boss. Sorry for the approach.

Das Schäuferle war trocken, Knödel innen mehlig, Sauce wässrig zu einem Preis von 21,00 Euro !!! Die guten Zeiten von Röslein sind vorbei, so war ich dort zum letzten Mal.

One of the few places who had availability for dinner w/o a res. Our server was kind & patient. I enjoyed my schweinehaxe & radler very much. Interior was very typical German taverne (to me at least, a foreigner). The place was lively and packed with patrons so that’s always a good sign.

Food miserable, fried to death and inedible. Service is not up to par and is not open to criticism and is even outrageous

Outstanding food and service. Best in Nurnberg. The sausages and sauerkraut is amazing but the boiled Nurnberg sausages in the onion sauce is Tops! Thanks, always a pe text meal.

A fairly large and lively restaurant with friendly service. My dog ​​made himself comfortable in the assigned spot under the bench and took a nap after a walk around the city, even though it wasn't exactly quiet. Unfortunately, I found the meat lacking in taste when it came to Schäufele. But it was juicy and tender and the rind was crispy. Dumpling, sauce and red cabbage were very tasty.

The Bratwurst-Röslein is a classic in Nuremberg and I always enjoy going there. However, I would like to point out that with the prices not exactly moderate, good service is simply part of it. Unfortunately, this was not the case last Sunday. The waiter was quite friendly, but didn't bring me any cutlery. He didn't notice it either. So I had to bring it to his attention. He then handed me a knife and a fork (without a napkin). He recommended ketchup for the bratwursts. Unfortunately the table wasn't very clean either. Hopefully that was just an isolated case ;)) And we noticed something else as a group of four. Unfortunately the beers were not well poured.

Roast pork was soft as if it had been pureed, dumplings were indefinable and the sauce was just brown, tasteless water. Food arrived 3 minutes later after ordering, we wondered where it had been sitting there. Everything was gone for us. Simply not recommended or leftovers, we don't know.

The food was carelessly slapped onto the plate. Looked like it was a used plate. The red cabbage came much later. Basically, the whole thing is significantly overpriced, and it is actually absurd to show standard side dishes overpriced on the menu. In addition, the dining room was filled with smoke from the kitchen, even though all the windows were open due to the nice weather. Sitting outside was also not possible because it was occupied by smokers. The amount of tourists now makes everything possible in Nuremberg.

The waitress literally ignores you.

Nice staff who have the challenge of hungry crowds fully under control. Some of them haven't even been sitting for 5 minutes and are already complaining that they haven't placed an order. Craziness! The seats were assigned to us because we want to accommodate as many guests as possible. Understandable! The order was received quickly. The food was hot and delicious! The inn was packed and the waiters were busy. I take my hat off to them because they do a very good job with the crowds there! A few months later I am a guest again and my rating remains. As always, I left here satisfied and full. Always worth a visit!

The food and service is a disgrace. Waiters listless, Schäuferla with a soggy crust, roast pork with ready-made sauce and warmed dumplings. Atmosphere like a train station canteen and totally inflated prices. Each side dish costs extra. No more Bratwurst Röslein.

You will be asked to pay on Saturday evenings at 10! When asked, they say it still needs to be cleaned up. At 10:30 last round...eat nothing special...inn without hospitality

Were there on September 14th around 3:15 p.m. A young man serving us drove us away from the table with the claim that there was someone sitting there who was just on the toilet. We were also driven away from the second table with the remark that there were clean tables further up .We were probably too lazy to clean our table too. We probably told the staff about the sale too early and no longer needed it. No longer recommended!

We really enjoyed the food and the place. The waiter who served us was Italian, I didn't ask his name, but he served us 10 points, he made us feel very comfortable. Unfriendly service Some people pull their plates away after eating. So I've never experienced anything like that. Food was quite ok!

Quite decent food and nice to sit outside while having a refreshing beer . It's pricier than other places. Seems like a big tourist place, but we were hungry at that moment passing by. Overall everything was ok, nice service.

A big disappointment, the food had a very strong smell. Inedible. The most wasted 50E since I traveled 3 years ago.

Bratwürste waren leider hart.....Sauerkraut OK ! Schäufele war gut ! Bedienung war ein wenig Chaos obwohl genug da waren..... neue Gäste neben mir sind 4 wieder gegangen weil nicht bedient worden nach 10-15 Min....da sollt Röslein mal nachsteuern! Denn das man sich erst mal Anmelden muss das man bedient wird ist in DE eigentlich nicht üblich.

Food ok, nothing special, lots of snacks

For a tourist restaurant, surprisingly good food, which was already available after five! minutes was served.

There's no other way than (again) 5 stars. Reason: We were here on Monday lunchtime, not much going on. After a thunderstorm. Still muggy inside. Since I had to go to the toilet, I accepted the heat and the smell of grease. For this reason, we took three small drinks at the small table of three in front of the bar. What was striking was the empathetic (albeit heavily tattooed) waiter. He offered us bratwursts several times to satisfy our breakfast cravings, which we always refused because we were full. After a short tour of the picturesque town hall square, we finally returned here to the outdoor squares (in the shade from 2 p.m.). Our waiter was happy and served us excellently (the restaurant was only a third full). Attentive, reliable, helpful, also towards his colleague Gregorio. Although this is supposed to be the best Obatzen (of course, it would be rated differently by the three of us), one thing was certain for us: the best Schäufale we've had so far! Very glad that we had to stop at this time-honored place and not - as planned - at the crony shop next door.

Visited on a fri night at 8ish (not busy and they were only seating people outside) and had the classic red beer and 8 grilled sausages with saukeraut and potato salad. The beer wasn't cold enough but had a great taste. The sausages were a bit overdone n tough. The mustard is from a packet. Tried the competitor and I have to say they are better.

Bratwurst Röslein was the perfect stop during our day trip to Nuremberg from Munich. It's conveniently located near the main square, with plenty of shade for a hot day. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. A great place to relax and enjoy a beer.

Quite acceptable for large restaurants that are designed for mass processing. The expression on your face when you politely ask about a table reservation for the evening on the terrace because there are 12. You can't describe it, you have to have experienced it or survived it.... ! Our waiter was very friendly and personable and quick, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. On the other hand, I found the way of complimenting someone out of the restaurant at 9 p.m. really crazy!!

I recently visited this restaurant with my family, hoping to introduce them to the local cuisine. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by extremely poor service. As tourists, we ordered a liter of beer with the intention of sharing it among us. When we asked for a few extra glasses, the waiter responded rudely, saying, "This is not America!! the glass can't be taken as a jar! I will give you the glasses but you can't make any mess on the table." Instead of offering a helpful suggestion, the waiter chose to scold us, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Bratwurst is of course a must in Nuremberg, everything was very good, the service, very nice staff and it tasted good too 😋

BAD SERVICE!!! The waiter shouts at his guests in a disgusting tone and orders them around. We last experienced something like this during the GDR era. The man has no place in public. Unbearable! Other guests also looked quite puzzled when they were denied the simplest services. NOT RECOMMENDED. A few meters further there are friendly inns.

Nice location, typically Bavarian. The sausages, however, were below average, lukewarm and tough. Not recommended for just under 15 euros. And also carelessly done.

The ambience outside is quite nice and the waitresses were friendly and quite prompt. Unfortunately, my Wiener Schnitzel was the worst I've ever eaten. If you then consider the price of 25€…

The worst service I’ve ever had. And I live in Berlin, which says a lot. Already the first beer took 20 min. Then for the new beers we waited more than 30 min, they never came. We asked for the bill, 20 min and the bill never came. I had to go pay inside in order to even be able to leave the place. Horrible service. For a mediocre food. Update: reading the other reviews, it could be that we were unlucky. The thin and tall waiter (who was ours) didn’t seem to want to work at all, or was having a really bad day. The others that we attempted to talk as an alternative, seemed to care more.

You can say whatever you want about Bratwurst Röslein, but they definitely know their stuff here. And the quality of the food is always at a consistently high level. And that's really been the case for years. People always talk about tourist traps and the like in the city center. But that's definitely not the Röslein. Anyone who gets to know Franconian cuisine here will definitely like it.

I highly recommend this place to spend a nice time with a coffee. You can eat well and drink beer. The food was very tasty, well seasoned. A large selection of dishes for both dinner and dessert. The service was very nice and helpful. Nice place.

If you like industrial this is the place to come, but worst of all the staff is absolutely execrable.. They had to review their copies and treat customers, with a minimum of respect. This is often the case with well-placed boui-boui, they trap naive tourists.

Where to eat for group meals in Taiwan tour groups. The pretzel bread is chewy and delicious, and the white salt grains on it can be removed to make it less salty. German sausage with sauerkraut contains potatoes 🥔. Although it is delicious, it tastes very strong. The sausage is super salty and the sauerkraut is super sour. Even the mashed potatoes are a bit sour. The sausage is eaten together, which can neutralize it. Dessert: sunflower-shaped ice cream, garnished with peach puree + fruit arrangement. The group sat in the indoor area to dine. There was no air conditioning or wind, so it was very hot. Generally, the majority of guests visit the outdoor area. Although there is sunshine outside, it is relatively windy and cooler. You can order a beer at your own expense🍻 to go with a salty meal and cool down.

It is a very touristy place but very good

There are plenty of restaurants and eateries to try the 'real' Nuremberg sausages and Röslein is one of them. The location is the biggest reason to eat here. Located on a beautiful square close to the castle. We opted for the bowl with different sausages and other extra food. The food was good, typical German. It took a while before our order was taken, but the food came quickly and the service did their best.

We wanted to eat there and were harshly expelled from the restaurant with the information that dining was only possible outside. When we wanted to sit down outside, the same waitress said, in a no less friendly tone, that no new guests would be served anyway because the kitchen was overloaded. A large sign promises hot food throughout. By the way, it was 8 p.m.

Ristorante in zona centrale con buona birra ma le cose positive finiscono qua. Abbiamo mangiato del tacchino ai ferri non memorabile mentre mio marito ha preso lo stinco che, essendo cotto con la cotenna, è bello da vedere ma all’interno è praticamente crudo. I camerieri sono naif nel senso che non è che siano molto attenti ai clienti e inoltre a volte si dimenticano le cose. Il vero dramma di questo biergarten è la presenza massiccia di mosche e api che rendono l’esperienza di mangiare molto impegnativa nel senso che ti devi impegnare tanto per tenere lontano gli insetti con scarsi risultati. Da evitare, a Norimberga ci sono altri ristoranti decisamente migliori.

Wir kamen dort an und wollten essen innen jede Menge Plätze frei. Wir haben keinen Platz frei war die Antwort. Dann kam eine andere Dame. Draußen wenn nur. Dann sind wir raus und die Dame ignorierte uns sagte dann zu allen die da standen in ner halben std gibt’s evtl Plätze. Wir waren entsetzt und besprachen uns dann kam ein Kellner und sagte wie viele wir sagte 6 kommen sie mit. Gut essen bestellt kleine Änderungswünsche gehabt wurden nicht beachtet. Dann was gesagt bekamen Dan Blaukraut umsonst. Schön und gut. Beim servieren kippte die besagte Dame unseren Schwiegersohn die Bratensoße über die Kleidung. Kein es tut ihr leid nichts. Leider fällt uns diese Dame dort leider immer wieder negativ auf. Wäre das Essen dort nicht gut würden wir nicht mehr hingehen. Aber man sollte sich mal über sein Personal Gedanken machen. Was Freundlichkeit usw angeht auch im größten Stress muss man das beherrschen.

Tourist shop Franconian tour with duck, knuckle, sausages etc... everything dry and chewy. It's a shame about the slaughtered animals. The light is so warm that you almost burn your mouth. Plus flies on flies. Portion very large, but all in all nothing special. There are better Franconian restaurants.

We took the mixed grill, the pork was too fatty and nauseating, the duck was dry, rubbery potato gnocchi, the vegetables full of water, unpleasant and arrogant waiters, you dine in the middle of a swarm of huge green flies, the only thing the beer is good, but in Germany it's normal, and the sausages, otherwise don't go there..!!

Abbiamo preso la grigliata mista, non siamo riusciti a finirla perché era pessima: L’anatra troppo secca, il maiale nauseava per quanto era grasso, la verdura era piena di acqua, le patate erano gommose. I camerieri scortesi ed impazienti, per non parlare che mangi in mezzo ad uno sciame di mosche grandi e verdi che non ti mollano..!! L’unica cosa buona le salsiccette e la birra. Sconsigliatissimo per cenare, non capisco le tante recensioni positive.
