Island Restaurant Valzner Weiher in Zerzabelshofer Forst

Super! Aside from the beautifully idyllic location, the food is also very good, great salad dressing and the pizza is nice and crispy. Particularly noteworthy was Ozim's truly exceptional attentiveness: my husband and I like to order extra garlic with the pizza. In 99% of cases, however, this is forgotten immediately after ordering or simply not carried out. Ozim, on the other hand, noticed while serving (!) that the order had not been implemented and took the plates with him again. This has actually never happened to us, we usually had to complain. Price-performance is completely fine, I can't understand the reviews of some guests here. It's also really cozy inside, and there's plenty of parking outside. We'd be happy to come back any time we're in Nuremberg!

Cozy place in the middle of a lake in a suggestive environment. Very surprised, the food is purely Italian. Overall, for what we ate, decent. Clean and functional toilet, but I don't think I'll return. I'll publish the new menu.

The restaurant offers Italian dishes, whether pasta or pizza, that unfortunately don't justify the price in terms of taste and craftsmanship. The service is very friendly and helpful. Many years ago, this restaurant served good, upscale German cuisine.

Very tasty food, but no cake in the afternoon. Service wasn't good, you weren't noticed, you had to take care of it and report it yourself and even then you had to wait a long time. Capacity utilization is not an argument.

After the change of tenant, you can enjoy delicious Italian cuisine here. The service is very friendly with reasonable prices that completely match the rest of the restaurant. A real feel-good place where you'll be happy to come back again.

Excellent cuisine, very good service

This was our first time here with friends. Overall the food was good, but my calzone didn't contain much ham, which was a shame. What we also noticed was that the waiter only came to the table when asked. It's a shame, a little more service would have been great. Despite everything, we will come back again.

It said open until 10 p.m. online and on the door. At 8:50 p.m. we were no longer allowed in without explanation. We would have accepted a justification, but it wasn't okay that way.

The food was delivered very quickly, and tasted very fresh. Our pizzas had a very thin and fluffy bottom. They gave me the wrong drink by accident but gave the right one for free. Very good and friendly service. Highly recommend.

really nice location with very nice and courteous service. Pizza and pasta dishes (Italian cuisine) were very good and plentiful. Also absolutely within the price range. And the location right on the Valznerweiher is almost like a picture book. There are also some parking spaces available. However, for understandable reasons (proximity to the Max Morlock Stadium), these are subject to a fee. However, you can easily have the parking ticket validated in the restaurant, so you don't have to pay the parking fee when you visit the restaurant.

Today we were at the Insel Restaurant again for a long time. Unfortunately, we don't find the ambience to match the culinary offerings. More than 45 minutes passed between serving and the next contact with the waiter. At this point the maximum capacity was 20%.

Been there again after at least 20 years. Finally open regularly again. Picturesque location of the restaurant. Casual, chic atmosphere, partially renovated. The waiter was super on point with relaxed sayings and very accommodating. Starters, pizza and pasta absolutely great and prepared with passion. Conclusion: successful evening, price performance 100% okay. I found a new regular Italian restaurant and I now come to eat regularly.

Insanely good pizza bread, antipasti that was super tasty, and the real, real carbonara was awesome. The staff is extremely trained and friendly without being intrusive. The atmosphere is very nice and super cozy. I would call the style rustic modern. Everything just fits together. You really feel at home here. If we didn't have to drive 500 km we would come regularly. But if we're in the area again we'll 100% come back

I have lived here since I was a child and am here regularly. There have been different tenants here since then, but the food has always been excellent. It's best at the moment. There has never been a greater selection. There are even cakes and coffee again in the afternoon. There are also according to the seasons e.g. Asparagus. My friend's Schäufele was excellent. Everything is still very well maintained, the service is friendly and it is always very relaxing here with the small lake in the foreground. It is the most visited restaurant by my entire family and my children also go here regularly with their families. We don't want to miss this beautiful restaurant. The nearby forest and playground in front of it are also great.

I recently visited an incredible Italian restaurant and had one of the best dining experiences ever. The cozy New Year decorations created a warm, magical atmosphere, and the staff's friendliness made us feel instantly welcome. The food was flawless! The pizza rucola e parma was perfection, with a soft, airy crust and authentic toppings, while the schweinelende was bursting with flavor, clearly made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. If you're looking for a cozy spot with amazing food and excellent service, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended!

Great food and friendly service, beautiful decor and great location! Update: Today we had lunch in the island restaurant Valznerweiher for the first time since it reopened. The first thing we tried was the pizza. All we can say is: it's great! The dough is on point, the toppings are tasty and plentiful. We had Pizza Salmone, prepared with fresh dill and lemon - very tasty! We've rarely eaten such a delicious pizza. Also the Italian desserts are great! The new Italian ambience is extremely tasteful and pretty! When you look at the spacious outdoor terrace, partly built over the water, you are already looking forward to the summer season.

The now Italian restaurant impresses with its unusual menu. The dishes are beautifully prepared and we enjoyed them excellently. The price is also right for such good, high-quality food. Personally, the table design with paper tablecloths bothered me. Fabric tablecloths always appear to be of higher quality. Unfortunately, the service staff often put the cutlery into the drawers with a loud clatter. We found that disturbing.

Nice restaurant with a unique, beautiful island location. Italian cooking has recently started. The new lighting and furniture make the interior look more modern but still very comfortable. The coffee specialties are priced rather higher compared to the local competition. This is also why the restaurant will have to assert itself (Puglia&Paparazzo restaurants nearby). We are looking forward to the pizza that will be available to order soon so that we can compare it with the other two restaurants.

Unfortunately, prices have now risen astronomically. In this respect, the price/performance ratio is no longer acceptable, at least for me. However, you can only find out the prices on site anyway. There is a menu on the website, but no price information. Maybe the prices are rising every day, so you can't keep up with the publication.

Very good restaurant in a great area with water lilies and large dragonflies. You can go for a walk there and there is a nice playground for the little ones. The restaurant itself is expensive, but the portions justify it. The menu is sufficient (not so much), everyone should find something to their taste. You can park on site and it's free for 3 hours if you register in the restaurant with your license plate (it's best to read the parking regulations). Me and my husband thought it was great.

Was at the old school event on September 7th, 2024, which was great as always when Dj Zimbo and colleagues play. The ambience is very nice. What I was annoyed about was the 3 in Weckla, the bratwursts were so small and for €4.90!!!! That wasn't good at all! Therefore only 4 stars

Wir waren im Juni diesen Jahres, am Nachmittag, zum Einnehmen einer Mahlzeit am Valznerweiher und parkten dort auf dem zum Restaurant gehörigen Parkplatz. Meine Freunde verspäteten sich leider etwas. Als wir dann gemeinsam das Restaurant besuchen wollten, hatte dieses geschlossen. Im Sommer mit Terrasse sowieso ein Unding. Jetzt bekam ich eine Zahlungsaufforderung für die Zeit, in der ich den Parkplatz genutzt habe in Höhe von 48€. Eine absolute Unverschämtheit! Das Lokal sieht mich, und viele aus meinem Umfeld, nie wieder!

Wild Tiger Gambas provencale, ca. 33 €, typischer deutscher Einheitssalat mit weißer Sauce, der zu allen Gerichten serviert wird. Was daran à la provencale sein soll, ist mir schleierhaft, wahrscheinlich sollte das kleine Glas mit Aioli-Dip das Provencialische ausmachen.

Tolles Ambiente direkt am See. Wir haben mit 15 Personen außen gesessen und konnten Essen, See mit Geflügel und einer schönen Atmosphäre genießen. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft. Jeder war begeistert. Ob Jakobsmuschel, Schäufelchen oder Geschnetzeltes. Leider war der Zander etwas trocken. Die Bedienung war nett und sehr aufmerksam. Der Parkplatz ist trotz Gebührenewarnung kostenlos, da man das Ticket beim Wirt abstempeln lassen kann.

Tasty and beautiful. Thirst and hunger were wonderfully quenched on the terrace after an intensive 2-day bike ride.

Yesterday we had dinner with three people. The service was good, the food too. Only the prices were exceptional. I found €22.90 for a Schäufele with dumpling to be more than steep. A portion of asparagus with potatoes and roast beef for €34.70 is ok, but then an extra €1.90 for melted butter is outrageous. And blaming this on the increase in VAT is too simplistic. I have eaten there for many years and although I can afford the prices, I will no longer eat there given this price trend.

We've been coming here for a few years now but the food is getting worse and worse. But the prices are getting more and more expensive and the selection is smaller. Roast pork costs almost 20 euros without salad. But it is lukewarm and you can tell that everything was finished a long time ago. There is an extra salad for 4.90 euros. A few leaves and some garnish. You look for the sauce. Service was a bit sloppy at the beginning. We went in at 12 o'clock sharp and were shouted at that we had to turn on the lights first. For us it was definitely the last visit. A pity.

Today we visited the island restaurant Valzner Weiher with 12 people, based on a recommendation. We were all thrilled, including the children. Very friendly staff, prices a bit high, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The food was really very tasty. Very nice seating outside, playground for the kids. After dinner we took a walk around the pond. We will come back and definitely recommend it! Thank you

The service was attentive and the ambience was dignified However, the food came so quickly that our suspicion was aroused. My husband wasn't thrilled with the mushroom sauce and my pasta was dried out. The main items (pork fillet and scallops) were good though. It was also a shame that there was no roast pork or Schäufele on Good Friday. Happy Easter....

Sehr schöne Lage am Weiher. Für Familien mit Kindern ein Traum zum erholen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Kommen gerne wieder. Essen auch sehr lecker.

A nice restaurant just outside of the city. There aren't that many restaurants in the area around the stadium. The restaurant is located in the middle of a small pond, the atmosphere is like a tavern, rustic. Staff open-minded and friendly. Food is good, but not surprising, but considering the price, it is. You can get the same dishes in the city center for less money with more on your plate. Here you pay for the location. Overall, it's good and a good restaurant for the location without many alternatives.

We were here after the 2023 Norisring race. Very nice service and atmosphere👍 There were 6 of us and we all ate the pickled herring. To this day, every single person raves about it - the best matjes we have ever eaten🙌 We'll be back in 2024 (assuming there's the Matjes again😊).

Very tasty food, extremely attentive and friendly service. You rarely look for something like that. It's definitely wonderful on the terrace in summer. But the interior is also very comfortable. Great concept, regional and seasonal products

We were looking for a restaurant near the Flic Flac tent and so we ate here. The staff was friendly and attentive at all times. Extra requests such as lots of lemon were not laughed at but taken seriously and a high chair for the baby was brought straight away (without asking). It's nice that this thought was taken into account here. :) The food was also very tasty and the portions are large. It wasn't the last time we were there.

I was here for the 2nd time for a Christmas party. The service was very careful and quick. Always friendly. The food was again very good. Depending on the size of the group, we were able to choose from several dishes. All variants were served around me and my colleagues were also very satisfied.

Das Essen war total lecker -- wir waren eine Gruppe von ca. 15 Personen. Alle waren voll zufrieden!!!

Ich finde das Inselrestaurant einen wirklich schönen Ort um einzukehren. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und auch unsere Hunde sind stets gerne gesehen. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder, wenn wir am Valnzerweiher spazieren gehen.

Heute mal wieder da. Besonders der tolle Service durch den mega aufmerksamen Kellner Amir (Amin) machte den Nachmittag zu einem hervorragendem Erlebnis. Das Essen war perfekt und der Nachtisch einfach der richtige Abschluss. Das Roastbeef war wie gewünscht gebraten und meine Freundinnen waren zufrieden mit ihrem Karpfen. Da ich per Email unsere Plätze bestellt hatte, bekam ich einen Anruf, quasi zur Bestätigung. Fand Ich toll. Die ganzen negativen Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Egal wie oft wir dort waren, immer alles ok.

..wir waren zum Kaffee spontan eingekehrt, dabei wirds aber auch bleiben. Die „hausgemachten Apfelküchle“ sollte der Koch aber dringend nochmal im Kochbuch nachschauen ;) Für den Preis leider einfach nur ein schlechter Witz. Wir wären gerne am Wasser gesessen, aber keine freie Platzwahl. Kaffee und Eis waren ok, Service freundlich und auch zügig.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der super Service hier. Immer freundlich und schnell. Auch das Essen ist super lecker und frisch. Parkolatz ist kostenfrei direkt davor und für Kinder gibt es einen tollen Spieplatz. Empfehlung von uns.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, leider ist die Küche mittelmäßig und passt daher für diese Location nicht richtig. Man sollte sich hier dringend etwas einfallen lassen. Der Karpfen viel zu trocken, das fischfilet totgebraten.

Super Essen und super Service gerne wieder

Die Lage und das Ambiente sind toll! Deshalb haben wir uns für ein Abendessen (zu fünft) hier entschieden. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, die Wartezeit absolut akzeptabel, doch das Essen hat uns enttäuscht :( Optisch ansprechend, geschmacklich mit einem durchschnittlichen Imbiss-Essen oder Biergartenessen vergleichbar. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht: Fertigdressing im Salat, kleine Fleischgerichte neben einem Berg Pommes oder Spätzle. Bei 20€-26€ pro Gericht habe ich eine andere Erwartungshaltung.

Eine sehr schöne Location. Mit Blick auf den See, ausgewählte Speisen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Beim nächsten Besuch in Nürnberg schauen wir sicherlich gerne wieder vorbei.

Ankunft gegen16.30 Uhr.......2 Erwachsene......einmal Wiener Schnitzel plus extra Beilagensalat (nur grüne Blätter für 4,90 €) bestellt, die zweite Person fragte höflich, ob man anstatt 3 fränk. Bratwürste auch nur 2 haben könnte, dies wurde vom Kellner ohne Begründung einfach abgelehnt......Das Schnitzel war gut, der Kellner unfreundlich, vor allem als man ihn bei der Bezahlung der Rechnung sagte, dass man eigentlich schon noch ein zweites Getränk hätte haben wollen, nur man trotz fast leerem Lokal nie gefragt wurde!

Wir waren dort mit mehreren Erwachsenen und Kindern an einem Freitagabend essen. Man sitzt dort sehr schön außen am Wasser mit Blick ins Grüne. Nebenan ist ein schöner Kinderspielplatz, Parken ist kostenfrei für Gäste. Der Service im Restaurant war ok, die Mitarbeiter waren gut beschäftigt und zeitlich war gerade noch alles so im Rahmen. Es gibt eine umfangreiche Kinderkarte. Leider hat uns das Essen geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Speziell Kartoffelsalat, Klöße und Schäufele waren für uns enttäuschend.

Toller Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Mit Blick auf Wasser und Wald. Toller Service und sehr gutes Essen.

Sehr unfreundliche Atmosphäre, Besucher werden gleich hinauskomplimentierr, wenn sie z.B. nur Kaffee trinken wollen, in unangemessener Weise.

Ein wahres Idyll, diese besondere Insel-Location mitten im Weiher, umgegeben von Natur, und trotzdem noch direkt in der Großstadt... Hervorragendes fränkisches Essen, auch auf der Terrasse bestens bedient.
