Overpriced. Self-service and that's still bad. Preparation at the order counter is done by temporary workers and students. There are further offers a little further along the lake. The best thing about the beach bar. Simple, rustic, with a lot of flair.
In terms of location, this would actually be the best beer garden in Augsburg. Unfortunately, there isn't much on offer in terms of quality. The so-called Aperol Spritz is mixed using an original Aperol bottle. But it tastes like a juice and champagne spritz. That's pretty bold. I hope for new tenants or a rethinking of the existing tenants.
Ordered: lentils with spaetzle spaetzle, cheese spaetzle.
Food cold.
Spaetzle from the supermarket, dry and tasteless.
Salad without dressing.
Lentils already ready from the can.
Can't recommend the southern Torwirtschaft with a beer garden. We waited forever to be served. When the drinks came, we had 0.3l of beer in front of us instead of 0.4. According to the map, that doesn't even exist. Something was also forgotten. Prices are not bad either. I can't recommend that.
Food was super disgusting, both had a currywurst with fries and sauce, a cheap paprika sauce didn't fit at all and the sausage was just dry.
Got 1 star because the beer and the waiter were good.
If you want to stay here, you will find nicely furnished rooms that are clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are a few years old, but they are clean. I slept very well, the mattress was great. It was also very quiet, perhaps because the road is currently closed. If, like me, you're passing through and don't want to dig too deep into your pockets, you'll find a good place to stay for the night here. Breakfast was not offered because the restaurant was closed on days. But you could make tea and coffee. The correspondence with the innkeepers was very friendly. They still responded to me around 10 p.m. In short: if I'm looking for somewhere to stay overnight again, I'd be happy to do so again.
Sunday brunch was great! Desserts could have been better, there were only pastries, no yogurt or pudding or anything like that! Service overwhelmed, no drinks were asked. We first had to look for a waiter for a bottle of water. All drinks included. Just no still water??? So what is that?
Location is absolutely a 5 Star! I really hope the owners get this place up and running again. What a great area to come to explore, hike around, play around with the kids. Bike trails activities etc. Just awesome! Now it's dying away.....
Of course many years ago:+((. Really hope it picks back up after a couple of renovations.
Nice beer garden. However, you can skip eating. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good, there's still a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately this time the food was not edible because everything was ready and the potato wedges were thawed but not cooked through.
