Beer garden - It's perfect for sitting comfortably and drinking beer. However, we made the mistake of eating something here. There was currywurst with fries, bratwurst with fries and nuggets with fries for the children. What can I say, I've rarely been in such a bad mood after fast food. The currywurst was a limp bockwurst that also tasted like it. The fries were okay, but nothing special, but the nuggets were awesome. I've rarely had the chance to taste something so subterranean. The mustard also tasted old. Really a waste of money. Well, next time just one beer. You don't need to come here to eat.

Just a few years ago this was a popular point of contact for us when staying/visiting the Great Garden. A lot has happened since then - at least in terms of offerings and service quality - and unfortunately not for the better. The garden is cozy under trees and designed to accommodate many guests. Culinary delights have shrunk to pretzels, bratwurst, fries and meatballs... We decided on bratwurst and a small port. Fries Bratwurst was pale and cold - ask yourself: "...they're all like that..." The fries were cold and not cooked through (some were even raw) They were portioned into the deep fryer with your bare hand - also because there was a demand to see whether this complied with hygiene standards. "...we always do it like this..." It's a shame - but I really can't recommend it anymore. Price performance no longer fits.

We asked if we could get a new coffee because we found it to be a bit sour. There was then a new coffee and a soda on the house. Super nice waitress. Thank you Laura for your kind support!

We were there on Saturday (8 people) for coffee and cake and the desired canapès. The service was really very nice and attentive. Cake was homemade and very tasty. The menu sounded delicious and we will definitely be back. Thanks to the team

We were there on Friday and wanted to watch football via broadcast. We thought there would definitely be something good going on there. It was a derby. When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place because there was hardly anyone there. We then quickly knew why. We ordered a beer and a currywurst with fries in the beer garden at the self-service stall. The young man at the tap was fine. Quickly poured the beer, was friendly, everything was good. The gentleman at dinner was the opposite. First we had to wait because he was doing something else. What exactly was unclear. Then we were yelled at because we were standing at the wrong window. Not obvious to us and actually completely irrelevant. But ok. Payment at the ticket booth was ok. The meal was a complete disaster. I've never eaten such a bad currywurst. Even calling these watery, soggy pieces of roast currywurst is an absolute joke. No wonder no one goes there. Never again!

All auxiliary specialists, food is only accepted and prepared per person, which creates a queue of at least 10 minutes, all ready-made food that is only heated up, the taste leaves something to be desired. It's no different when it comes to serving drinks, the guy is simply overwhelmed. Few customers will probably also be due to the service.

We were in the beer garden on a cozy Friday evening. There were only three tables occupied. Maybe it was the town festival. We ate Obatzter with, unfortunately, a stale cold pretzel and a beer steak with potato salad. The steak was stuffed and warmed for the fifth time. Without any side dishes. Very bad. I won't go to the beer garden anymore.

For the price of a case of beer, after waiting at the bar for 10 minutes, you drink two beers. You don't have to write anything more about it. To top it off in a beer garden in Dresden, you can only get beer from outside...never again.

Unfortunately, I will never have to write again. Didn't taste good, except for the fries (what could you do wrong?), awkward handling behind the counter, hygienically speaking, what's the use of the old boxes on the counter (food serving), half the chicken, kept warm for a long time, therefore tough and tasteless, cheese shavings greasy and nasty and everything was very expensive (27.50 euros for three meals plus drinks). No thanks, I don't want to go there anymore.

Everything used to be different. Well after what felt like 5 years we were back in the goal economy. Table ordered in advance, after all it was Saturday evening. Well, 2 of the 15 tables, including our table, were occupied. Ok, we thought it was only 6 p.m. Friendly staff, but also a bit slow, you had to order beer in person at the bar because the waitress preferred to chat at the counter instead of taking care of the few guests. Something really needs to be done, especially given the prices it should be okay. Food was OK but not enough to make you want to come back. It's a shame about the beautiful ambience where people were happy to get a table outside before Corina.

Unfortunately we were all disappointed. First of all, it should be mentioned that everything we ordered tasted good and was OK. In our opinion, there is a lot of catching up to do in terms of service and decency. At first we had to wait forever for anyone to come, even though there were 3 people standing at the counter chatting away. Two incorrect orders came. We left one as it was and the other was politely complained about. From the staff there was just a changed expression and disappeared. It was exchanged, everything was fine, but after the long wait there wasn't even a small apology. It's clear that this can happen, but how to deal with it... Someone from the staff came towards us on the stairs to the toilets. There was only an annoyed facial expression and not even a hello, even though we had said hello. This happened again a little later with two men from the facility. If no one here wants to work, maybe they should think about another job. Then another cellar came and brought the order for another table... even though there were hardly any guests there. The interaction among the employees didn't seem so happy to me either. Conclusion: if you want to eat/drink something in between, it's ok and it's nicely furnished. You can't expect anything more today.

Went to the beer garden yesterday around 7 p.m. in great weather and was quite well attended. The great thing was that they still made it unbelievable at 8 p.m. If you want to go to the beer garden in the evening, you don't need to go there anymore, there are other beer gardens in the large garden that are open much longer. And the prices have also been increased, the 0.4 beers are an impressive 4.90. No thanks, that used to be my regular beer garden

Delicious food, a bit expensive, but the portions are okay and it tastes good. You don't have to wait that long for your order either. The waiter was also quite friendly.

Why do you go there? Because of the food...well, tastes are different but a warmed up but still cold bratwurst isn't worth the money. Don't even get me started on the curry sauce. Nothing for me

This review refers to my experiences since the beer garden reopened, and unfortunately I have to say that a lot has changed to the detriment. I'm not usually one to complain or immediately give a negative review. But when I was standing in line at the beer counter and there were only five people in front of me but it still took 20 minutes, I got really angry. Sure, the complaining of some other guests in front of me didn't make the situation any better, but the wait was extremely slow. It felt like the staff either didn't have a plan or were just plain listless. It's a real shame that three people at the drinks counter can't work efficiently. I will give the restaurant another chance and hope that something changes based on such reviews.

Delicious food, friendly waiter in the Torwirtschaft restaurant. You can sit outside on the terrace, right in the countryside. Yes, the prices are high. Almost 7.00 euros for a glass of wine and the meal > 20.00 euros, but we enjoyed it very much.

It's a shame, it used to be really nice here. A lot has changed for the worse since the change of operator. Starting with the crew, which seems to be overwhelmed, a manageable snack offering with mediocre success, right up to the ambience. Live music, trampoline for the children, etc. Unfortunately, everything that made this beer garden comfortable has been removed. Even the ticket booth with the friendly cashier…gone. Instead there is now a big bare space in front. Prices are ok so far, but you won't see us there as often as before. Sad development... 2 stars ⭐️ ⭐️

I knew the Torwirtschaft as a good address and therefore visited it in a group (10+). Unfortunately, a lot has changed. The food looks good, but there are a few things wrong. The steak doesn't work here at all. Even on the second attempt it didn't have the desired doneness. Salmon was well done and rather cold. Portion sizes and proportion of meat/side dishes unbalanced. The waiting time was terrible! About 1 hour until the first ones had their food - the last ones had to wait another 20 minutes. wait. I'd be happy to come back for a beer every now and then, otherwise not anymore.

After we had to wait 25 minutes until we received a menu despite asking, our drinks were left on the counter for another 15 minutes without anyone caring. We were about to get them ourselves. When we handed over the drinks we were informed that various dishes were no longer available. After placing the new order, it took a good hour for the food to arrive. The staff also began to notice that they were embarrassed. It must also be said that the house was 60% occupied. There were guests on the upper floor and 3 tables downstairs were occupied.

It's a shame that such a great location performed in such a disorganized manner on the opening day. Go into a small training phase again and then reopen and then the store will definitely run better. Good luck to your boss who will get the team going😁

I rate the “new” goal economy, which was taken over by a new owner. Newly opened since January 2024. Mr. Schirmer “received” us unfriendly. Nothing tasted good, even for undemanding people the food was just bad and expensive. The new waitress was friendly, she had to do everything while Mr. Schirmer worked on his cell phone. Sorry but no, that's definitely not going to happen. Save yourself who can.

Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern hier. Alle Speisen, auch die für die Kinder , waren schön angerichtet und vom Geschmack her , hervorragend. Preis/Leistung mehr als super. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, das Ambiente, gemütlich. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend, vielen Dank

If you want to stay here, you should bring plenty of time. You wait 15 minutes for a beer and wait half an hour at the food counter. The beer garden is now called Torwirtschaft although the beautiful Torwirtschaft is closed. The special bar and the beer tent have disappeared. There is a snack stand here with the classics and Bavarian snacks. The portions are ok, the prices too. The food is snack quality, so nothing special. There are enough places available. If you want something quick before a Dynamo game you should go somewhere else. The beer garden is not in the middle of the Great Garden as the owner describes here, but on the edge. The tables were all newly prepared. Somehow the beer garden has lost the charm it had before. The employees are rather neutral and the work speed is rather leisurely slow. It's a shame it used to be really nice here.

Speisen unter kiosk Niveau Personal schreit sich vor den Kunden an. Angebote und Preise nicht ersichtlich Meine Meinung nach ist das i Dresden nicht würdig. Wir waren zum Dynamo Spiel und wollten den Tag noch ausklingen lassen Sind dann aber ganz schnell zu einem anderen Lokal weitergezogen. Die Lage ist genial, aber das Konzept und vor allem die Umsetzung ist einfach schlecht

Bei bestem Wetter den schönen Biergarten genossen. Sehr freundliches Personal und tolles Ambiente. Angemessene Preise und eine sehr große Getränkeauswahl. Wir kommen wieder :)

Schöner Biergarten am Rande des großen Gartens, mit Blick auf das Dynamo Stadium. Die Preise sind für die Lage gut und die Portionen (Currywurst mit Pommes) recht üppig. Mit der großen Bierauswahl macht der Biergarten seinem Namen alle Ehre!

A solid beer garden, and a gift place to meet with friends. There's parking nearby and people can come from anywhere in Dresden with public transport. We use it often as a place to get together.

Waren etwa eine Stunde vor Beginn des Fußballspiels da. Der Biergarten war gut besucht. Ein zusätzlicher Ausschankwagen war aufgestellt um das Gästeaufkommen zu bewältigen👍 Zuerst wirkte es etwas unübersichtlich, da die Leute kreuz und quer von allen Seiten anstanden, allerdings hat das Servicepersonal die Situation gut gemeistert und niemand musste zu lange warten. Getränkeauswahl ist völlig ausreichend, ich denke da sollte jeder was finden. Das Servicepersonal war trotz Stress sehr freundlich...

Für ne schwarz gebrannte Wurst die dann noch kalt wird weil die Pommes nicht fertig sind 8eur.

Nach vielen Jahren der Treue wird der gestrige Besuch wahrscheinlich der letzte sein. Der einstiege Charm ist dahin. Feldschlößchenbier gibt's nicht mehr, die Sitzbänke bzw Tische sollten mal repariert werden. Toiletten sind fast eine Stunde vor Schluss zugeschlossen. Abräumservice wurde eingestellt. Preise sind noch halbwegs annehmbar. Schade. Wir waren gerne da.

Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit, das Essen (wir hatten Pommes mit Nuggets) war in Ordnung, frisch auf jedem Fall. Die Portionen waren ziemlich groß. Theke war absolut sauber, dickes Lob!

Im Bezug auf den heutigen Spieltag von Dynamo .... Viel zu wenig Ausschank Angebote, kein Grillangebot und nur ein Bierwagen. Am Getränkeausschank fehlten die Preise ! Viel zu lange Wartezeit wenn der Biergarten mit Fans voll ist . Die gute Atmosphäre von vorher gibt es nicht mehr .

Es ist ein sehr einfach gehaltener Biergarten. Aber da er sich direkt am Großen Garten befindet und auch gut mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen ist, ist alles ok 👌

Schöner Biergarten gegenüber d. Dynamo-Stadion

Seit dem der Betreiber gewechselt hat, ist es nicht mehr so wie vorher. Alles wirkt wie "auf Probe". Die Gäste sind auch nicht mehr so zahlreich wie früher. Für Kinder gibt es auch keine Spielangebote mehr. Der Biergarten hat seine gemütliche und einladende Atmosphäre leider verloren. Wir kommen erstmal nicht wieder... ☹️

Zum Sonntag halb 1 keine bargeldzahlung mehr möglich,da Wechselgeld fehlte, die Hälfte von den speisen war nicht bestellbar, was man aber erst beim bestellen erfährt… völlig unstrukturiertes Personal und die Wartezeit war für letztendlich 5 typisch unterirdisch…

Man steht eine Ewigkeit an um seine Bestellung aufzugeben, bekommt in der Zwischenzeit das Essen der Leute gereicht, die vorn bestellt haben. Wenigstens hat man während der Wartezeit die Möglichkeit, das unkoordinierte Treiben der zum Teil unmotivierten Mitarbeiter hinter der Theke zu beobachten... Service geht anders! Hat man dann seine Bestellung erhalten kann man das "Ambiente" genießen. Lieblose Tische neben Brachflächen. Gab's nicht mal einen kleinen Spielplatz auf dem Gelände? Fazit: im Großen Garten gibt es drei andere Biergärten, die ich das nächste Mal allesamt vorziehen werde...

Wer es eilig hat und vor einer Veranstaltung in der Arena "schnell" noch was essen möchte, der sollte woanders hingehen. Wartezeiten von über einer Stunde für Imbiss-Essen sind absolut inakzeptabel! Zum Glück hatten wir noch eine Schnitte dabei, damit unser Kind in der Zeit nicht verhungert. Mir fehlen echt die Worte... Das Essen ist gut, die Preise nur bei den Getränken etwas happig, aber noch ok .

Abends schnell nach einem Spaziergang im großen Garten essen gewesen. Ales ok soweit, Preise fand ich etwas erhöht aber noch im Toleranzbereich, SB von daher nicht viel Service, Essen wurde frisch zubereitet, wir waren alle zufrieden

Went for tea and cake. Cake was good but this place had no black tea, only Earl grey which I hate. Ended up with a disgusting cappuccino from a machine. It was luke warm and tasteless. Staff unfriendly, agumentative, unhelpful and abrupt. Madam sneeringly refused to acknowledge vile coffee. Also disturbed by smokers as no designated non smoking area. Disappointing experience in an otherwise lovely place.

Torwirtschaft, klassischer Biergarten, ruhig und schön

Wir waren letzten Donnerstag nach der Arbeit noch auf ein Bier und was leckeres zu Essen im wunderschönen Biergarten der Torwirtschaft. Der Biergarten war gut gefüllt, an der Getränke- und an der Speisenausgabe sindwir aber schnell bedient worden. Zur Auswahl standen mehrere kleine Speisen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Die Getränkeauswahl ist recht groß, vor allem kann man zwischen vielen Fassbieren wählen. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Parkplätze finden sich gleich gegenüber.

Schöner Biergarten am Rande des großen Garten. Leckere Speisen und große Bierauswahl!

Wir waren in der Woche da bei bestem Biergarten Wetter. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Biergarten aber nach der Umgestaltung gab es einige Probleme. So war zwar ne tolle Fassbier Auswahl angezeigt aber das Guinness gab es nicht. Auch bei den Speisen gab es zum Beispiel kein Hähnchen obwohl es angezeigt war. Der Biergarten war nicht zu einem Viertel gefüllt, trotzdem bildete sich eine Schlange bei der Getränke Ausgabe. Zum Schluß waren wir enttäuscht dass wir 20.55 Uhr kein Abschlussbier mehr bekommen haben mit der Begründung die Kasse ist abgerechnet.

Es war ein durchweg schöner Samstag Mittag. Vielen Dank an den Service für die freundliche und zügige Bedienung. Danke an die Küche für die leckeren Gerichte. Hervorzuheben ist die Große Bierauswahl vom Fass. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ihr habt sie doch nicht mehr alle. Für ein 0,4 Liter Bier 4,50 Euro zu verlangen. Dafür kann ich mir im Kaufland oder sonst wo 10 Flaschen 0,5 Liter Bier kaufen. Ich hoffe, das denen die so blöd sind sich dermaßen abzocken zu lassen das Essen inclusive Bier im Halse stecken bleiben.
