Food good. Great events. Great beer garden, playground on site. Fun for young and old. Only when it comes to service could bsl be faster. Otherwise, gladly again.

Cheese with mushrooms on the schnitzel 😳 not a good combination, rather strange :( and for a whopping €22! Not recommended

Worst accommodation ever. We booked and paid for a double room for 2 adults and a child. We got a small room with a 160x200 bed. There was neither an extra bed nor a pull-out sofa. The complaint on site didn't achieve anything and the person responsible didn't get in touch. The three of us had to lie down in the small bed. Sleeping was out of the question. I have back pain now and don't know how long it will last. In this condition we had to go to the airport the next day. All I can say is thank you 👎👎👎

Mega beautiful beer garden with a top kitchen and live bands that change every week... from rock classic, country music to pop and hits, everything on a huge Provi stage, great lighting effects and a great open air sound (which is not too loud and still great for partying Animated for young and old!!!

An excellent hotel for the money. The room is very small and the bathroom even smaller, but for 1 night it is fine. Good bed and despite the fact that it is located next to a fairly quiet road, you don't hear anything with the window closed. No air conditioning so I wouldn't sleep here in the summer. Free parking.

The food was a flop as was the service. Food came but no cutlery. Service was gone for over 10 minutes. We then got cutlery ourselves from other tables. There were blankets in the shed in the garden, but they were wet, as were the seats. Holes and cracks were professionally covered with adhesive tape. So maybe it's nice in the summer, but holding an event there in the fall is unreasonable. Simply cold and wet.

Been here a few times now with the children. The food tastes good, the children are busy and there is also good beer 🍺 If you're lucky, there's still live music playing and finding a parking space is easy because the beer garden has a huge parking lot right next to the restaurant.

Unfortunately very very disappointing. The meat was ok, one slice was soft, the other was tough, the dumplings were very small, about like golf balls, I haven't seen it yet either, but oh well, the sauce was too thick and the taste was more like a sauerbraten sauce than a sauce for roast pork, However, the kicker was that the food was cold! We were there after this year's company hiking day. There was self-service, but unfortunately the food was quite expensive and not really good, the Franconian bratwursts were subpar in taste and the potato salad probably came from a “bucket”.

Hello. We, 11 cyclists, arrived at the customs house and were greeted warmly and were immediately given a place to store our bikes. Checking into the room and making reservations in the barn also worked great. The food was plentiful and tasty. The price/performance ratio at the hotel was good, breakfast wasn't quite okay, but we were all full. The showers should receive a basic cleaning. Gladly again Zollhaus!

If there were an award ceremony in Germany for the most unkempt beer garden, parking lot, and beverage outlet, this disgusting beer garden would have taken FIRST place by far. P.S. The foam in the beer glasses is no longer present after 1 minute. I had herbs the next day. WHY???? Suggestion: The owner should take tutoring at the country beer paradise Sterzingerstrasse so that he can learn how to run a restaurant with a beer garden.

Nice beer garden, but unfortunately the service staff is completely overwhelmed. You wait in line for a good three quarters of an hour to get drinks. The prices are sometimes outrageously high considering that it is self-service. And the toilets don't work at all; unfortunately, even during an event, they don't check them all day long and everything is therefore dirty.

Grauenvoll. Sowas von unaufgeräumt, teilweise verwahrlost. Schon der Eingang hätte mir zu denken geben müssen. Aus dee Küche bläst am Eingang ein Rohr das für die Abluft der Küche sorgen soll. Schäuferle standen fertig in der Küche daneben ein versteckter Putzlappen oben stehen Pulver für Soßen. Echt nicht gerade sehenswert. Lampen und Kabel hängen kreutz und quer. Nichts zusammen gekehrt. Bier ohne Schaum. Man wartet ewig bis man dran kommt. Der Internet Auftritt und die Bilder entsprechen wirklich nicht dem was man vor Ort sieht. Der Spielplatz vergammelt. Alles in Ecken gestopft. Schrecklich. Vielleicht schaut mal das Gewerbe-Amt vorbei.

It's okay, food good, service very good, you can go there without any problems

Ein schöner Biergarten umrandet von großen Bäumen mit viel Potenzial. Leider wurde in den letzten beiden Jahren die Qualität immer schlechter. Service, Essen, Getränke in Kombination mit den Preisen passt einfach nicht mehr zusammen. Eine Weinschorle aus der Flasche, gekauft an der Selbstbedienungstheke, zum selbst aus dem Kühlschrank holen, kostet mittlerweile 6,50 €. Die Bedienungen wissen zum Teil nicht was auf der Karte steht. Es macht wirklich keinen Spaß mehr dorthin zu gehen. Wir wohnen in der Nachbarschaft und sind sehr oft dort gewesen, aber seit letztem Jahr merkt man, dass es rapide Berg abgeht. Wir haben festgestellt, dass der Biergarten nicht mehr so voll ist, wie früher. Wenn man die anderen Bewertungen hier auf Tripadvisor sieht, geht es uns wahrscheinlich nicht alleine so. Wir finden es so schade, da es eigentlich ein Schmuckstück mitten in der Natur ist, aber wenn Qualität und Preis sich einfach nicht mehr Deckeln, dann zahlt sich das am Ende eben nicht aus. Wenn wir Besuch bekommen haben, sind wir dort zum Essen gewesen. Das trauen wir uns mittlerweile schon gar nicht mehr, weil immer etwas dabei war, was nicht funktioniert hat. Heute wollten wir dem Biergarten wieder eine Chance geben, leider wieder ohne Erfolg. Wir wollten ein Getränk bestellen, dass auf der Karte stand, haben dann die Antwort bekommen, dass es nicht möglich wäre, das Getränk zu bekommen, da zu wenig Personal da sei. Wir sind dann unverrichteter Dinge wieder gegangen und zum nächsten Biergarten gelaufen. Dort gab es guten Service, gutes Essen und gute Getränke. Trotzdem finden wir es schade und hoffen, dass es irgendwann wieder aufwärts geht.

Die fetten jahre sind vorbei… Great atmosphere, great service, good food, but 6,30€ for a portion of curly fries is simply too much… a 5KG bag at Metro is 7,30€. This is by far the largest margin anyone can have with any food product. I will definitely go again, but only for a couple of beers.

Impudence!!! Was here today with my wife and the bikes. A lady sent them to my colleague (cashier), then we stood there and nothing happened. After us came a family who were immediately served one after the other, We were still standing there. The lady stood in front of us and simply ignored us and continued to serve the family. We thought... hello, we're still here too... the waitress just said, oh sorry. .....apparently we were invisible, we were casually standing half a meter in front of the two waitresses.......We then left again......Impudence to the power of 10.!!!!!.. ...we'll never come here again, apparently we had the wrong face.....

The food is totally subpar but at least the drinks taste like something. It's a shame, because the Zollhaus beer garden used to be much better, but unfortunately that was a while ago.

We have been here again for a long time and were extremely disappointed. The food was a disaster, there weren't even bratwursts, fries were overpriced and they were in the deep fryer for far too long, not to mention the Swiss sausage salad tasted like nothing and was floating in the vinegar and half a slice of bread was included. The prices are far too high, especially in the self-service area. The playground is very dirty and unkempt. We definitely won't come here again. Years ago it was a full of good beer garden with Franconian cuisine but now only burgers or pizza. It's nice weather and almost no people, now you know why.

Wartezeit in einem halbvollem Biergarten. Gesamtes Personal wirkte überfordert und war extrem unfreundlich.

I booked for a birthday via email and had it confirmed by the manager. After I sent out invitations, a friend pointed out to me that the beer garden was closed for lunch on Tuesday. After an email, another employee confirmed this and explained it as a misunderstanding. After I moved the birthday to Wednesday evening (with a dinner date), the company was informed that the kitchen had no menu today except pizza and burgers. All in all, a very unsuccessful party that disappointed all guests. Only the children had fun in the playground.

We went for the Country Live evening. Before that we wanted to eat on the terrace. First we were led to the table like in kindergarten. And that in the beer garden. Listening to live music is free. So, ordered currywurst and a pizza 🍕. Both meals were just lukewarm. Normally I let the food go back, but after what felt like an hour wait we decided to eat. Fries cost €4.50... Cheap frozen fries, NEVER! There used to be garlic in oil... Great thing though... I reported this to the waitress as a complaint. She left the food standing for at least 10 minutes when it was served (large window in the kitchen area, you walk past it). The answer: "We get the food freshly prepared in our hands" Incredible! Trying to play me for a fool, NEVER! Conclusion: going out to eat is not recommended. A Schäuferle 20€ N Wiener Schnitzel (pork, deep fryer) €18.50 for me it's a huge beer garden. The quality is at most “sufficient”. No, there are better things in the Fürth district. The star goes to the band.

For a Sunday evening there were still enough free places available, in the self-service area as well as in the service area where we sat down. So it wasn't too crowded! For a roast pork and bratwurst with potato salad, which are actually dishes that can be sent quickly! Not to mention the prices, schnitzel or roast dishes for around €20 or more are actually too expensive for a beer garden, if the quality of the dishes were at least right and the way they were served or there was a salad to go with the roast , then I would be willing to spend that much, but definitely not like that! By the way, we also ordered a “shake salad” during the 50 minute wait, but unfortunately it was warm, the salad, the dressing and also the glass were completely warm! And why is the salad served in a tall Weck glass? More than inconvenient to eat because the lettuce leaves are too big and the dressing and other smaller salad ingredients are at the bottom that you can't even reach! But the salad was taken back without any problem and not charged! The dumplings for frying were good, there were 2 slices of roast, the first slice was cut thinner and therefore not tough, the second slice was cut too thick and therefore very firm/tough when chewing. The sauce tasted good but was too gelatinous, so it was too thick! The cabbage I ordered extra with the bratwurst was good. The potato salad was a little too sour because they probably used too much pickle instead of using cucumber. And why the hell do you slice almost 1/2 an onion into it and not dice the onion small like you usually do? The sausages tasted good but were also too small, bread was ok! Unfortunately there was no mustard and I wasn't asked if I wanted any. Given the prices, the quality and taste of the food and this long waiting time, we definitely won't be coming back and I can only recommend everyone to go to another beer garden!

Beautiful, shady beer garden with event location in the Nuremberg Reichswald, at the entrance/exit to the town! 2 areas, 1x with service, 1x self-service. Plenty of drinks to choose from, well-stocked cuisine with the usual calorie bombs. There are always music events in the summer months. Parking available, but quite small, wheelchair possible!

Ambience very good, service leaves something to be desired, ordered pizza and waited about 1.5 hours. The service is overwhelmed. Pizza and Kaiserschmarrn were very tasty. We can't fault the quality.

Mittlerweile geht's den Betreibern anscheinend nur noch um den Provit. Die Schnitzel schmeckten fad und die Pommes waren lasch und ungewürzt. Zu dem mussten wir über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Die Toiletten waren extrem schmutzig und es war kein Toilettenpapier vorhanden Alles in allem eine Katastrophe und nie wieder !

Food is very good 😋, but you have to wait a long time for it. We also had to wait a long time for the drinks. Although we complained a bit, the service staff was still very friendly. I have to say, it was a Greek evening and very busy. But it was still a successful and fun evening and we were full too 😃.

Portions are large but our food was tasteless. Sprinkle a little coarse salt over the schnitzel. That was the whole spice. Mushroom cream sauce was cream with frozen mushrooms, not seasoned. I think charging just under 21 euros for the meal is steep. The beer garden is otherwise beautiful, old trees, lots of shade.

Unfortunately, the Zollhaus beer garden is no longer what it used to be. The food: The very thinly pounded schnitzels were well-cooked or deep-fried. Our pizza was missing toppings on one side. Other than that we had maybe half a mushroom on the pizza. And we paid an extra €1.70 for it. The ambience: Unfortunately, the ravages of time have gnawed away at many corners. If there are no slats on the gate to the playground and sharp nails sticking out in their place, that's not possible! Otherwise the toilets are dirty and unlit. Last but not least, there was a constant smell of kanabis coming from a cordoned-off private area at the playground. Fantastic 🙄

We had a very good meal here, in the beer garden 👌🏼 A very well topped tuna pizza, a large and very tasty beer garden salad with falafs + spread + bread and a, rarely so beautifully prepared, Swiss sausage salad and fries 😉 eaten! The staff was very friendly and quick ☺️ The only annoying point for us was the music selection 🤭

Unfortunately not a nice location. The food is way too expensive. You also notice what is homemade and what is not. The toilets are a disaster. You stand in other people's urine and no toilet paper. The staff is overwhelmed and sometimes unfriendly. We're definitely not coming back. My recommendation: close half of the outdoor spaces and make an effort with the rest.

We were there for the last Germany European Championship game, the food and ambience were ok. The service was a disaster. You queued at the counter for at least 45 minutes to order drinks and food. Then having to wait an hour for the pizza was the cherry on top. The beer garden has a large capacity, but even with the seats half full there was this delay. We won't go there anymore.

Actually such a great location - but in many places it is careless and in need of improvement. There are a few tables and benches in the self-service area at the playground, as well as on the old wooden terrace, which has more than just a big hole and should be repaired. The food prices are way too high for what you get... a shame. We might come back for a drink at the playground with the kids - but definitely not for dinner. Unfortunately, price/performance is not right here at all. Maybe not that important but worth mentioning, the toilets smelled strongly and unfortunately it wasn't clean... the parking lot has huge potholes.. something needs to be done here!

Very nice, atmospheric, outdoors. A nice lady, Małgosia Polka, helped us talk and repair the breakdown of our car.

First it took a long time until we got our drinks, we had to ask twice, then it took 2 hours until our food came. We were told it would take longer, but we didn't expect it to take so long until most of the guests who were there with us had already left, which ultimately gave us the impression that the staff wasn't able to organize it to accommodate all guests. So when all the dishes were there (we had ordered 1x fries, 1x currywurst and 1x castles with fries), the burger was raw on the inside, we then complained about it, other tables got their food again and we were still waiting, so we got one The person in charge demanded that we get something from someone or that we be accommodated for our inconvenience, because 3 hours after our arrival we still couldn't eat everything and we said the complaint never reached us. Then a gentleman came to our table who introduced himself as the representative and apologized to us and said he could cancel the burger but we would be responsible for everything else, so he can't miss us coming, we could have left at any time (we were with us 2 small children there), when I said that we were here with children who had been waiting forever for their food, he agreed to bring the children a dessert. We waited again for that and when nothing came up, we of course paid and left. At no point did we have the feeling that they wanted to accommodate us. On the contrary, the representative said he was a 2-star chef in Switzerland and that it was our own fault. We will never go there again.

The beer garden is not designed for larger events. In the service area, the waitresses try hard to get drinks, but food still doesn't come after 2 hours. Absolute catastrophe, not a single meal has been served for an hour. Maybe you should think about how to manage that beforehand.🥴

I called a day in advance which European Championship game would be broadcast and it wasn't shown!!! The question was answered like this. We ordered pizza with friends at the same time and it was ready in 25 minutes. Would have liked to eat together. Waiting time 55 minutes total. Already weak there wasn't much going on. When I asked in the kitchen I was rudely dismissed. Staff should be trained. I thought I would give the customs house another chance, it was something similar before but nothing. Can't recommend this beer garden, there are much better ones. It's a shame about the location, it's really nice

I had made a special reservation for a friend and I for the area where service was served a day in advance. The lady confirmed this to us on the phone as normal. When we were there, we didn't see any staff anywhere. So we asked at the food counter where we had to go. We were then told that there was currently no service at all. So we queued up to order. First I picked something out on the map that was posted as normal. When we ordered we were told that what we wanted to eat wasn't currently available and that we could only order burgers and pizza. We didn't feel like that and then, annoyed, we drove to another beer garden. So our stay there was a complete waste of time for us. Definitely won't come again.

It's not bad to sit there, but the food is just mediocre and way too expensive. Beer 4.5€ and currywurst 11.8€. The currywurst was just like it came from the frozen food compartment and not fresh from the grill - which is at least what you would expect for this price. There’s a lot of room for improvement. The Schäufele costs around €21, just for the general asking price…

A nice beer garden, good seating also possible in the shade. One phone has service and one part is self-service. Good food and drinks. The atmosphere could still be improved a bit. Toilets are clean. There is a playground for children.

My wife and I had dinner in the beautiful beer garden on Sunday June 9th, 2024. My wife ordered two Franconian bratwursts. She got two small warmed sausages. My roast pork was also disappointing. The price is completely excessive for this quality. We won't eat there anymore.

So they have prices that you can only shake your head at. I have a small cup of coffee and a piece of cake 10/10cm with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream with a garnish that was cut with an onion knife and the apple slices. And the whole thing for 10.60 euros🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

First of all: The Zollhaus beer garden was always my favorite beer garden! (Even as a child it was just great, with the animals and the bouncy castle). In recent years I have also enjoyed coming over in the summer. Yesterday, for the first and last time this year, stopped by for a beer. The prices are just underground. For a 0.5 liter Radler 5 euros? For a schnitzel with fries or a Schäuferle with dumpling around 20 euros? In my opinion, the prices are totally exaggerated considering that the food is not bad, but nothing special either. What's more, the beer wasn't even full to the limit, but rather had significantly less content than it should have. The service was super annoyed and slow. We had to wait more than a quarter of an hour to pay. Unfortunately it's no longer worth a visit for me!

Self-service and still high prices. Only had french fries. It was a small soup bowl full of soggy fries for 4.30 euros. Fast processing at the beer bar.

We were here with 3 children aged 4 and it was super relaxed. The children were kept busy while you could enjoy the good food. Prices are okay too.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food because we didn't receive any food after a long wait. The service seemed rather stressed and uncoordinated, possibly because the beer garden was very busy. We will visit the beer garden again in the summer because we really liked the atmosphere there and then if necessary expand the rating again.
