Nice beer garden with a great ambience on the Saale

Service was very friendly and helpful. The food selection was manageable, I had goulash soup and my wife had pea soup with pieces of sausage. We had nothing to complain about in terms of price or taste. Otherwise, a nice beer garden that also deserves its name because of the beer on offer.

Nice location, but something needs to be done again. Food is very manageable. After 4 hours on the bike and a bit hungry, I decided against junk food. That's better! Recommended for a beer and ambience.

My favorite place in Halle to enjoy a delicious beer. Friendly staff and a picturesque location. Food is nothing special, but it's okay. One point deducted from the ambience because of the horrible neon color. Also perfect for larger groups. Types of beer taste great🍻

Mit dem neuem Betreiber lohnt sich ein Besuch. Man kann hier in angenehmen Ambiente preiswert einen schönen Abend verbringen. Das Personal ist kompetent und freundlich. Alles in allem endlich mal ein Biergarten in den man gehen sollte!

There has been a good structure since the operator changed. Beer is tasty, there is also a good selection. The self-service principle also works quite well. Food is nothing special, but classic for a beer garden. There are some events that are broadcast there, such as the European Championships or the Olympics.

We enjoyed visiting the Fritzengarten under the previous owner. However, our visit on August 8, 2024 was very disappointing. Although there was a public viewing of the Olympics, everything else was disappointing. The old seating was much better. Recently self-service with moderate food, drinks at top prices, mind you, self-service and the cleanliness in the toilets is also better. All 5 of us agreed, Fritzengarten, no thanks.

Difficult - the food was subpar - the drinks were great - the staff was friendly but could be improved. For me the seating is much too narrow. Self-service is fine in itself. but only if you don't have to queue for 20 minutes for a drink.

I was here with my colleagues on a Friday. It's self-service only and we had to wait quite a long time for our drinks, okay. That not all the drinks that were on the menu were available. OK. No problem. But the fact that we ordered a salad with feta for 7.90 euros, which included a tomato that had been quartered as much as possible, a piece of cucumber that was about the size of a tomato, some iceberg lettuce torn and then no feta on it, was a surprise. Unfortunately it wasn't an isolated case, because the second salad with tuna looked exactly the same. Very unloving. The plate of wedges with tzatziki also cost 7.90 euros, but the plate was so full that even two people could eat it. All in all, it's not all that good. A pity.....

The location with a beer garden is good. The food is nothing. Probably all finished and not very high quality. The low price doesn't fit either.

Traditional beer garden, self-service, extensive range of food and drinks, attentive staff, good toilets - everything as it should be! Mosquito spray is recommended as it is close to the Saale.

Short break in familiar surroundings

Haven't been there for a long time... Was there for the start of the European Championships and was pleasantly surprised. Big screen good sound! Replenishing the usual drinks also worked well since you had to get them yourself. Food was also provided, from bratwurst to goulash. Despite a brief power outage, which was quickly remedied, it was a successful evening all round

Great location, relax under great trees on the Saale!

We went to the Fritz Garten as a spontaneous decision after it reopened. Eat: The fries were partly over-seasoned but definitely edible. The currywurst consisted of burnt bockwurst with a surprisingly delicious curry sauce and the goulash was cold. Service: We were able to pick up all of the food at intervals, with the goulash still being made warm. (It was cold as mentioned) Otherwise the location is visually pretty. As long as waiting times, food and service do not change, the beer garden is not recommended.

After the change of ownership, there were now too many tables set up too closely, food was so-so, I had a bratwurst, they had fried raw bratwurst, but when they should have been done, mine was unfortunately raw inside, self-service, queue 3 times - cash register, drinks, food ....

We were at the Fritzengarten for the opening at the end of April. A lot has changed since last season. The old space with the bike racks was no longer available for our bikes, so we parked the bikes in the middle of the beer garden because we definitely can't park expensive bikes in the middle of Halle in front of the beer garden, otherwise they would get legs. We were pretty cramped. That was completely different last year. You still had privacy there. The prices are utopian for self-service and more expensive than last year when we were always served friendly and quickly at the table. Food selection is modest. Last year there seemed to be 30 dishes, so everyone found what they were looking for. Beer was tapped but the flower (head of foam) was an impressive 2 millimeters high. Then we had to queue again because of the glass deposit. No thanks. We were rather disappointed. Price/performance/service/ambience therefore only a 🌟.

Finally a new operator for the beautiful beer garden. Bavarian and very cozy, occasionally live music (brass band). I'm happy to pay the 50ct surcharge for live music. Otherwise nice ambience under the linden trees with good Bavarian lager. The employees still need to be trained. But I hope it is well received and establishes itself. It's fun to meet there when the weather is nice. A website with current programming wouldn't be bad. We are looking forward to celebrating Oktoberfest there🤩 Keep it up!

I was there for “Men's Day” and immediately found a place in the beer garden - self-service - there was a live band playing - but a surcharge of 50 cents was charged for every drink and every dish - in my opinion very unusual and a disgrace

A nice place on the Saale to linger with a glass of beer. It goes quite quickly given the condition that there are no long waiting times for drinks and food during the week. It's just a typical beer garden with self-service, simple and cozy.

This year was the first time in the Fritzengarten. The ambience wasn't bad, but that was about it. Queued for 20 minutes to finally place an order. Then waited again until the glasses were full. Well, if the beer isn't running, there's not always anything you can do. You also have to pay the deposit for the glasses. That means you had to get in line again. No trace of service. That was definitely the last time we were there. A pity. This has been our beer garden for the past few years.

Unfortunately the food wasn't worth a cent, the service was very nice but unfortunately not trained. You wait forever. Soggy fries, bratwurst pre-grilled for a long time and hard old rolls. It's a shame, because it's nice to sit here.

Today, May 9, 2024, we happened to land there in the early afternoon for the Men's Day celebration. Great atmosphere, as the band knew how to captivate the guests with their music. Even though it was self-service, it wasn't a problem because the service was well organized. Food at the outside stands was also very tasty. An all-round success for us Men's Day - we had a lot of fun. Thanks for that !

Just beautiful. A new operator makes it possible, lots of new seating options in this great atmosphere under chestnut trees and umbrellas with a view of the Saale branch. Ideally accessible, it is the perfect place to enjoy sun and leisure. Quickly get your drinks or food (it works wonderfully and you don't have to wait) and you can enjoy paradise. Today even live music. What more do you want. We will be back.

Well.. 10€ for a bratwurst with salad is pretty sporty.. Fries 5€.. you can do that... if they were good fries.. Just under 4€ for a large pilsner... hm... But the kicker is: the last round is called promptly at 9:15 p.m. If you want another beer at 10:30 you won't get any more and at 10 sharp all the employees are at the gate, the car is running and you will be told that you have to leave now. Everything happens rather unfriendly. And then you wonder why no more guests come Service desert Germany. Unfortunately, we will now look elsewhere for the men's evenings. Edit: Thank you Fritzengarten team - I see from your comment that you have simply overlooked the core of my criticism. This was the way of communication... neither the closing times nor the beer prices. You in particular, with the long history at Fritzengarten, should know that "service" is at least provided at eye level - never from above. With a smile you can credibly convey that, based on the location and experience, closing time and the last round are exactly the same. Especially since the six of us have been with you for a very long time. Yes, WE said a friendly goodbye at the gate... not a word came from your colleagues. I'm well aware that prices will rise over time and that you'll have to adjust the calculation - but to take €10 for a BRATWURST with (potato) salad... I find that cheeky. And lastly - because they ask the personal question. Unfortunately, I cannot rely on fixed opening times when it comes to leaving my workplace. My work is customer and employee oriented.

Normally I always eat the pretzel with butter on a salad, but this time I had the steak again... That's the finest! Flown straight from heaven into my mouth... I find the selection of food and drinks more than sufficient, the peach wheat was new to me and also very tasty. Even if the Saale sometimes smells a bit smelly, the atmosphere is very successful for me. You can have a really nice afternoon and evening here. In terms of service, I had the impression that you could definitely get any extra sausage fried there, everyone was very friendly. The price-performance ratio is right here. I really enjoy going there Fritzengarten, I can't think of another good beer garden...

On Thursday evening we had dinner/drinks in a small group in the Fritzengarten. The beer garden was half full, but we still waited forever for food and drinks. I waited three quarters of an hour for a simple salad and was extremely disappointed - a simple salad without vinaigrette and only 2 dry pieces of baguette. The other guests were also very disappointed. Prices totally overpriced: a simple salad €14!!!!!!! The waiter was really great; Unfortunately he had to pay for the “mistakes” of the temporary cook. A pity. I can't recommend the Fritzengarten for dinner; However, to drink and enjoy the great location/ambience.

Der Milchshake war ganz ok. Schönes Ambiente👍🏻 Man hat aufjedenfall seine Ruhe. Ist nur etwas teuer, aber logisch für die Lage

Wir waren gerade dort und mussten leider feststellen das das Ambiente nicht schön war, es roch sehr unangenehm. Unsere Pinacolada war ungenießbar. Leider war die Chefin nicht kritikfähig, aber für 8.90 € darf man auch mal was sagen, wenn die Sahne nach Butter aussieht. Der nette Kellner hat es verdient erwähnt zu werden!!!!

Ein ruhiger schöner Biergarten fast mitten in der Stadt. Ein schönes Ambiente mit Blick auf die Saale und die Moritzburg. Das Fassbier hat sehr gut geschmeckt! Allerdings vom Essen kann ich nichts berichten außer das es uns viel zu teuer war 😟 Schade

Typischer Biergarten mit schönem Ambiente. Bedienung war sehr nett und schnell. Getränke, Bratwurst und Pommes rot/weiß waren lecker. Für die Kinder gibt es eine Spielecke mit Trampolin und Schaukel. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich, jedoch mit Paypal.

Der Fritzengarten ist ein Biergarten mit Tradition. Man erreiche ihn mit dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel oder das Auto gestaltet sich als nicht sinnvoll. Für ein Bier und nette Gespräche ist es auf alle Fälle eine Empfehlung. Nur zum Essen sollte man nicht hingehen, es gibt maximal Snacks zum Getränk. Ansonsten sitzt man unweit der Gerbersaale unter Bäumen im typischen Biergartenflair. Unweit entfernt befindet sich die Würfelwiese und der botanische Garten.

Schöner Biergarten, Rumpsteak war auf dem Punkt gebau gebraten und das Bier schmeckt auch.

Service schnell und charmant, Ambiente idyllisch… es könnte so schön sein. Nur essen sollte man lieber nichts… man bezahlt es teuer und wird dafür leider enttäuscht.

Ein guter Ort für einen gemütlichen Plausch mit Freunden bei einem Glas Wein und etwas zu Essen.

An die Preise muss man sich noch gewöhnen. 16€ für eine Currywurst mit Pommes 😮 Aber der Kellner war charmant und der Ort ist zauberhaft.

Traditionsreicher Biergarten in schöner Lage.

Klassischer Biergarten mit einem Ambiente, wie ich es mag. Komme sicher wieder.

Bonita cervecería al aire libre (o biergärten, como la llaman los alemanes), junto al río Mühlgraben, que cuenta con carta de comidas, cervezas y cócteles. Acudí únicamente para tomarme una cerveza y aprovechar para descansar unos minutos. Pedí una Freiberger de medio litro, a un precio de 3,90 €. El sitio es agradable, pero el rato que estuve había una temperatura de 38 grados y mal olor procedente del río, que llevaba muy poca agua; además, la cerveza estaba muy floja, falta de gas y no me trajeron la copa llena (puede verse en la foto, está tal como me la trajeron, no había bebido nada). Para rematar, la camarera se despistó o se hizo la loca y no me trajo la vuelta, aunque de todas formas pensaba dejarla de propina, pero no son maneras. En condiciones normales, con un día fresco, sin el olor del río, con una cerveza en condiciones y buen servicio, se debe estar de maravilla, pero mi visita no es precisamente para recordar.

Getränke waren gut, Location und Bedienung auch. Das Essen und dessen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist verbesserungswürdig.

Absolut schöner Biergarten, Personal super freundlich und die Lage ist für innenstadliche Verhältnisse super erreichbar. Sogar meiner Mutter hats gefallen ;)

Ein super Biergarten mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Die Lage ist toll und ruhig gelegen, die Bedienung bemüht sich sehr und ist stets auf den Beinen. Schade, dass sich heute manche junge Gäste unnötigerweise laut aufregen mussten und meinten eine Szene zu machen.. Wir sind sehr oft in größeren Gruppen dort und man sitzt nie vor leeren Gläsern. Wer einen entspannten Abend verbringen möchte , ist dort richtig aufgehoben!

Netter Biergarten am Mühlgraben zum Sitzen und Trinken. Freundliche Bedienung, aber leider nur zu zweit... Getränkepreise sehr okay, aber wie bereits hier häufiger zu lesen, passen Preis und Leistung beim Essen leider nicht. Halbes Dutzend Chickenwings an Salat ohne Sauce und eine Scheibe Toastbrot für knapp 14 €...
