FelsenPavillon in Halle (Saale)

The food and service are great, but when the place is full the acoustics are very bad. Unfortunately, no one can do anything about it, but that's how it is. We found this very disturbing. And something should change in the payment methods!

A nice excursion restaurant with a beer garden. The food is ok, but I was disappointed with the medallions. They were just small schnitzels. Medallions are usually made from loin, briefly fried and not breaded. Otherwise everything was good.

We were there in a large group; However, apparently several reservations were accepted, so the stay started in a big mess. It continued with missing food, while others received cold food. It's a shame, the first impression was different.

We were guests there yesterday. The service consists only of young people who were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the farmer's breakfast we ordered was not as expected. It consisted mainly of bockwurst slices, which unfortunately I couldn't eat. I don't eat bockwurst. A classic farmer's breakfast looks different. Doesn't do justice to the price of 14.50 euros. Since I didn't try the other dishes, I don't want to give too bad a rating.

Little update, wanted to have a quick beer around 6 p.m. yesterday. Despite only 4 occupied tables outside and 3 people behind the counter, it takes 10 minutes for someone to come to the table. And then we couldn't even order straight away. Service looks different! Too bad. Delicious food, nice location, fast, friendly and attentive service. If only there weren't any mosquitoes...

We were here in mid-August. Luckily we had reserved a table in the beer garden. We looked for our table and then we had to wait a long time for service. After we got the drinks (15 minutes) we waited over 1 hour for the food. Yes, it was completely booked and the waitresses rushed and did their best. The food was well prepared, very large portions and it was super tasty. There was still some surprise when paying. You can only pay in cash or with PayPal. So far so good. Since we use PayPal it shouldn't be a problem. However, you first had to register laboriously. It's not possible to charge the guest a fee (0.50 €) when paying with PayPal! Especially since this amount was written on the invoice by hand. Very strange.

Wir hatten einen Tisch im Biergarten reserviert. Wir haben unseren Tisch gesucht und dann mussten wir sehr lange auf die Bedienung warten. Nachdem wir die Getränke bekommen haben (15 Minuten) haben wir über 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Ja, es war komplett ausgebucht und die Bedienungen sind geflitzt und haben ihr bestmögliches gegeben. Das Essen war super angerichtet, sehr große Portionen und es war super lecker. Eine Verwunderung hatten wir noch beim Bezahlen. Man kann nur Bar oder mit Paypal zahlen. Soweit so gut. Das man allerdings bei der Zahlung mit Paypal auch noch eine Gebühr dem Gast berechnet (50 Cent), geht gar nicht!

We went there for dinner last week with a very large group of people (40 people), and the beer garden was completely full of walk-in customers. Food really good, reasonable portions. However, few vegetarian and no vegan dishes. Unfortunately, the rock pavilion doesn't seem to be well staffed. We had to wait 20-30 minutes to even be able to order - the tables weren't fully occupied at the time.

We spent our training here with 30 guests and were very satisfied. Important: Payment in cash or Paypal. We can only recommend it, we were at a coffee and cake table and had dinner à la carte. All guests were satisfied and of course we were too!!! We'll definitely be back!

Farmer's breakfast came after a moderate amount of time. Not much to complain about, a dip or something similar would have been great and unfortunately I didn't get full. In and of itself a good, tasty meal. The price was okay too. Thanks

On Saturday for the lantern festival around 10.30 p.m. we wanted to linger in the beautiful garden. The service staff greeted us distantly with these words. “We conclude in perspective,,. We were unsettled and wanted to leave, but were then given a drink. Well... To the Lantern Festival, where the sky and people are out and about? It's a shame, we were disappointed. Under the previous operator, this location was an absolute insider tip. There were live bands playing and the garden was packed until 1am. On a positive note, I was there for lunch a few days ago. The food was excellent. But here too the service staff was completely overwhelmed. She had forgotten the glass for the lemonade and we drank from the bottle until we left.

The restaurant offers a nice view of the Saale. The food was hearty as expected in a beer garden and was very good. The only thing that was annoying was the very long waiting time, but that could have been an exception.

On Sundays there are 2 different cakes, ice cream, rice pudding with cinnamon and applesauce, waffles with different ingredients. Freshly prepared dishes in the evening. We had reserved for 19 people and were well seated outside. Very friendly service too. Payment with cash or Payback.

Very nicely located on the Saale on the way to Peisnitz. We were there on Friday before a concert. I recommend making a reservation, mine online worked great. When we got there we found our table in the beer garden area. The friendly waitress brought us the menu straight away. The vegetarian farmer's breakfast and schnitzel au four tasted very good. The portion size was more than enough, as were the drinks. The service is very attentive. There are also indoor spaces with a fireplace. We'd love to come back, we really enjoyed it.

Overpriced fast food from an average cafeteria is the best. Deep-fried schnitzel, lots of tartar sauce, large portions of fries. Salads have a high proportion of iceberg. Taste OK, but nothing more. Prices at around €18 are definitely way too high. It took about 45 minutes until the first drink was at the table, friendly inquiries only led to a casual comment that the colleague was responsible for our table🤷 No information that only cash or Paypal is possible (who on earth is still dragging in 2024 > 100€ with you!?!). But the atmosphere on the Saale is nice 😀

Food was very tasty. Special requests such as without onions were fulfilled without any ifs and buts. Service was very nice and friendly. Always attentive. Top. Drinks and food were brought very quickly.

If this restaurant wasn't in such an exposed location for tourists, it would definitely close soon. The staff seem to be able to take care of themselves very well. Are guests annoying? Service, what does that mean please? The question about drinks took at least 20 minutes to arrive, and cake also arrived about 20 minutes later. The question about iced coffee was answered with the comment that you had already spent so much ice cream on it that you wouldn't have enough for the waffles and so you refused. We decided to go to another restaurant for dinner. It's better to use the simple kiosks on the banks of the River.

Wanted to spend a nice evening with my girlfriend today... We had to wait 30 minutes for the waitress to even come to our table... we ordered drinks that weren't served after another 20 minutes... the beer garden wasn't there very busy and no one was sitting inside... I went to the counter and canceled our drinks because after almost an hour we didn't feel like waiting any longer... no excuse... Afterwards we had a delicious meal somewhere else. It's a shame... the service has deteriorated significantly... a year ago this was our insider tip... Schnitzel Au Four is very tasty... but the waiting time is unacceptable...

You sit very well with a view of the Saale. Food very tasty and lots. Good price/performance ratio. The staff took some getting used to for us. Reservation not found. You should get your own ashtrays, as the waitress doesn't care about smoking. Funny statement. But she was very quick with the drinks and food.

First time of my entre life that I spend more time paying the Bill than in the restaurant... key information this restaurant only accept CASH or PAYPAL but only with app and qr code...what a mess...we had a good evening until we had so much trouble with your payment system...

Very cozy beer garden with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, we would miss something at the beginning. The neighboring table got cards, as did two tables that came after us. When we finally had tickets everything went quickly. Food was plentiful and tasted very good.

I was positively surprised by the rock pavilion today. Everything is clean. It is very cozy, even inside, and therefore also a tip for bad weather. Definitely a nice place to relax and fill your stomach! The view of the Saale is very beautiful, the food was amazing from A to Z and the prices were good. Unfortunately, one star is deducted because the restaurant was only half full and we had to wait a long time for the food and service. Small restaurant right on the Saale. Unfortunately there were no parking spaces available. Service was slow and unhelpful. The food was really tasty, but very greasy. Good selection of drinks, food and variations. For me it's a pretty average place.

Here you can sit comfortably outside when the weather is nice. The service is attentive and friendly. The food is rich and tasty. The prices are also appropriate for the offer. The restaurant is idyllically located in front of a rock overlooking the Saale. The seating could be a little more comfortable. Otherwise the restaurant is highly recommended.

Service grumpy and lazy. Food ok. Ultimately thrown out as the staff apparently wants to leave at 8pm. Espresso came after 15 minutes and was cold. Taking food away was only possible if we asked repeatedly.

We went to the restaurant hoping to get some brunch-like food for a friend’s birthday and it unfortunately turned out to be extremely disappointing. There were only two servers for the restaurant, who were also bartending and managing the register. We ordered 2 drinks, one coffee, one serving of regular fries and one of loaded fries, since the prices listed on the website were different and the food was very expensive. The drinks came quickly but the food took at least 1:30h to get to us. We were at the restaurant for a total of 2 hours, most of which we spent waiting for our food. The fries were extremely underwhelming and overpriced, the pulled pork on the loaded fries was tasteless and bland, it was just not worth the 40E we paid. The server was nice and apologized when we asked him about our food, but the overall restaurant experience was terrible. The place definitely needs better management and more servers, it was unacceptable.

Very tasty food, attractive selection, for example pasta with beetroot, deliciously fried and feta with it. Or a huge portion of fries with pulled pork - super tasty 😀 The ambience and furniture are subtle and stylish. The location on the Saale is great anyway. For children there is a play box, high chairs and even a toilet attachment (toilet for people with disabilities). The points are deducted for the one forgotten meal - okay, that can happen - but not a word was said about it and there was no apology.

Since the waitress was alone, we had to wait a little longer. The food was very tasty.

We (2 adults) were very happy today that a restaurant or something similar was open near the Peißnitz. The ambience in the outdoor area invites you to linger with your dog and we were also surprised by the friendliness of the cook and the service. Now to the unpleasant part: - the fries (very rich) were a bit too salty and sticky, but the hedgehog sausage had no taste. Of course, sometimes you want a nice filter coffee, but you can't always have everything. Price-wise: 2 x coffee, 1x fries with hedgehog sausage = around 15 euros is also ok.

We have reserved for 12/26/23. Unfortunately the menu in the restaurant did not match the menu on the website. Many dishes were no longer on the restaurant menu. And many of the dishes still offered there were no longer available because the ingredients had run out. So a bad calculation. However, the dishes that you could still order were very well prepared. The service at our table was very friendly and accommodating. We found the limited payment options annoying.

Very disappointed. Lillet was no longer available to order at 5:45 p.m. and that was all. Unfortunately, pulled pork was gone from 6:20 p.m. There is a lot of discussion about the cellar, even though he made the mistakes and didn't bring the ordered amount of drink. Very very disappointed. We will never go here again. Not recommendable. Not good treatment of guests. Apparently they don't want to make money but would rather fleece their guests.

Be careful with reservations, very unreliable. Was let down 14 days before the date and now I'm left without a location for my celebration in the run-up to Christmas!!!!!! The restaurant really impresses with its great location and very good food. One reason why I had already made reservations for my husband's and my birthday party at the beginning of December in the summer. We are well aware that it is difficult to find a location in December due to the company Christmas parties. Now you would think that you would be safe by making a reservation in good time. But not in this restaurant. Today, almost 14 days before, I was canceled citing flimsy reasons. A more lucrative customer may have appeared on the scene in the short term. For me that was it. I have never experienced anything so unreliable. Now I have to see how I can find space for 20 people. So be careful when making reservations!!!!!

Während eines Spazierganges festgestellt, er hat wieder geöffnet! Nach einem Monat Pause! Juhuu!!! Trotz der Baustelle, kommt alle vorbei. Es gibt von Kaffeespezialitäten bis Bier, von Snacks bis hervorragende deutsche Küche, von super Ambiente bis zu einem wunderbar freundlichen Team alles, was Sie möchten. Und im Gebiet der Peisnitz ist im Winter das Angebot dünn! Danke und bis Morgen!

Sport frei, ich möchte mich im Namen der Radsportgruppe Halle bei dem gesamten TEAM des FelsenPavillon bedanken. Am Sonntag den 5.11.2023 hat alles super geklappt. Essen, Trinken und der Service waren sehr gut. Macht weiter so, wir kommen gern wieder. DANKE

Die Kellnerin und das Bier waren gut aber das Essen war sehr schlecht. Also nie wieder.

Der ideale Ort um was gutes zu Essen, was zu trinken direkt am Ufer . Sehr freundlich Bedienung, alles ist tip top sauber , man muss nicht lange aufs Essen und die Getränke warten. Alles in allem ein schöner Ort mit tollem Essen.

Das erste Mal im FelsenPavillon waren wir positiv überrascht. Kleine Unstimmigkeiten zwecks unserer Reservierung waren flott behoben, Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr gut. Gerne wieder👍.

Essen und Preise sind in Ordnung. Portionen sind auch groß. Bedienung ist freundlich, jedoch langsam. Zudem wird keine kartenzahlung angeboten, was ich persönlich in der heutigen Zeit als no- go empfinde

Ein kleiner Biergarten mit einer bodenständigen Speisekarte.Hier kann man gemütlich bei einem Radler die Seele baumeln lassen und einfach nur auf die Saale schauen.

Sie haben so einen schönen Biergarten. Warum braten Sie die Bratkartoffeln nicht knusprig? Warum würzen Sie die Bratkartoffeln nicht? Warum verwenden Sie Dosenpilze? Ich verstehe es nicht und würde es wirklich gerne wissen.

Das Essen war super lecker. Es ist reichlich auf dem Teller gewesen dennoch muss ich sagen das es schon für eine Person recht viel war. Dennoch muss ich dazu sagen das es echt super lecker ist.

Essen schmackhaft und viel. Leider zum wiederholtem Mal lange gewartet, eh wir eine Bestellung aufgeben konnten und dann auf unser bestelltes. Schlechter Service!

Eines vorweg, es geht mir nicht darum den Felsenpavillon schlecht zu machen sondern darum ein paar kleine Tipps zu geben wie es zu einem rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt werden kann. Grundsätzlich ist es eine schöne Lokalität, das Preis,- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, die Speisen schmecken und das Personal ist um guten Service bemüht. Weshalb das Wort "bemüht"! Wir hatten zu 18.30 Uhr einen Tisch für 7 Personen bestellt. Bei meiner Ankunft ( ich war zuerst da ) konnten mir die ersten beiden Servicekräfte die ich ansprach nicht sagen welcher Tisch für uns reserviert sei. Also machten ich mich selbst auf die Suche nach einem Tisch der für uns reserviert wurde. Als ich Platz nahm, kam nach kürzester Zeit ein Mitarbeiter aus dem Service zu mir und nahm meinen Getränkewunsch auf. Er war sehr freundlich aber wirkte unheimlich gestresst was sicher daran lag, dass er den kompletten Biergarten mit seiner Kollegin alleine bewirtschaften musste. Als alle am Tisch waren gaben wir unsere Bestellung auf. Das Essen kam in angemessener Zeit zu uns und schmeckte allen gut. Leider gibt es keine Menagen auf den Tischen, so das es nicht möglich war nach zu würzen. Die Bestellung für das 2. Getränk wurde zum Geduldsspiel weil einfach personelle Unterbesetzung herrschte. Nachdem wir dann unsere 2. Runde Getränke geleert hatten ging es ans bezahlen. Wir teilten mit das wir getrennt zahlen wollen. Wir bekamen den Bong für die komplette Rechnung auf den Tisch gelegt. Getreu dem Motto "rechnen können Sie alleine". Wir wollten dann die Rechnung mit Karte bezahlen was leider nicht geht. Ich fragte nach wo das denn stehen würde und bekam pampig zur Antwort im Internet und vorn am Eingang zum Biergarten an der ausgehangen Karte. Also kratzten wir alle unsere kompletten Bargelder zusammen und kamen auf 165€ und waren froh das wir den Rechnungsbetrag von 162€ ohne weitere Hürden nehmen zu müssen, bezahlen konnten. Ich entschuldige mich für das spärliche Trinkgeld und versprach beim nächsten Besuch einen Obulus drauf zu legen. Zur Antwort bekam ich ob wir nicht zufrieden gewesen wären weil wir "nur" 165€ gegeben hätten. Darauf erklärte ich dem auf einmal nicht mehr so freundlich wirkenden Mitarbeiter das wir nicht mehr Geld dabei haben. Das war das 1. Mal das ich mich in der Gastronomie für mein gegebenes Trinkgeld gerechtfertigt habe und garantiert auch das letzte Mal. Dieses Verhalten vom Mitarbeiter hat innerhalb von wenigen Momenten die tolle Stimmung des Abends kippen lassen! Auch wenn wir ein Stück weit Mitschuld haben das wir uns nicht über die Bezahlmöglichkeiten informiert haben, noch ein kleiner Tipp. Im Jahr 2023 sollte es in der Gastronomie möglich sein mit Karte zu bezahlen und ein kleiner Hinweis zur Begrüßung der Gäste "Sie können bei uns nur bar bezahlen" wäre sicherlich hilfreich gewesen.
