Wenzel Halle in Halle (Saale)

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, Bedienung ganz nett, Essen war lecker. Portionsgrösse sehr übersichtlich. Dafür war der Preis aber etwas höher. Schade. Der Laden war früher besser. Und in Halle gibts da auch besseres.

We haven't been to this restaurant for a long time but it was great, beer and food - excellent.

The food is good and there are different varieties of meat dishes, sandwiches or other. The beers are also excellent.

A great restaurant! Very good menu, delicious beer, the service was on point and very friendly despite the late hour. The knuckle was great and the other dishes looked delicious too. For the really hard-boiled, there are tables with their own tap. The prices are high, but absolutely reasonable! I'll definitely come back again.

The food was okay, fast service, but it's also noisy there. We went on a weekend.

Little info: Don't be surprised, there are only very crooked prices - extraordinary. But something different like just comma 90 or comma 99 prices. It's rounded up anyway *wink*

Incredibly beautiful there!!! Absolutely recommended. A customer card is offered there, which we were happy to accept. October Dice campaign. Great, we rolled a starter and a dessert on the house, where does that still exist today? The food was incredibly delicious, such an explosion of flavors. I can't remember eating so well last time. We felt very taken care of and were able to really unwind. Really great restaurant!!!! Warm greetings to the entire team.

Spontaneous visit to the restaurant for lunch break. Location, staff okay so far. Eating took forever, even though it was a lunch special. It's a shame, the dumplings were frozen. The Kasslernacken was good! Price/performance very good. Interesting for beer connoisseurs. Very good, tapped beer from the Czech Republic. Overall, unfortunately only 3 stars.

A very well-run, large, Bohemian restaurant with a beer garden.

Unfortunately, the fries were cold (but were immediately replaced with hot ones) and the portion size was on the lower side of the norm. I was used to it differently. But be careful: this is crying at a high level and as always it was great and a nice evening with delicious food and tasty beer :)

We were there with a large group. Drinks were quickly picked up and brought to the table. Our food came very quickly too. Everyone was very happy with the taste and quantity. I would particularly like to emphasize the service strength. Very attentive and friendly. Always kept an eye on our table and asked if we would like anything else.

I really like it here, great food, great drinks. A lot to choose from and possibilities for every one, there are vegan and vegetarian as well as meat dishes. I come from Czechia and I really like the food there, it is very well done, tasty and not that pricey. Great choice of beer and other beverages, there are a lot of Czech beers which is great. I would definitely recommend coming here, it looks like there are lots of people often, so a reservation is a good idea. Would recommend Will come back

Tastes . Very close to Bohemian.

The Wenzels Bierstuben have long been known for their excellent Bohemian cuisine. So it's no wonder that we stopped here when we visited Halle. As always, friendly and courteous service and the food was again great. We sat outside, but from previous visits I know that the inside is very nicely decorated. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Good morning, First and foremost, thank you for the birthday dinner and the invitation for drinks! I once learned that you don't look a gift horse in the mouth! But I wouldn't have expected that and if I had had to pay for the food, wow wow there would have been harsh criticism on my birthday. The service staff are very friendly, each in their own way. But to eat, just under 30 euros for one (2) Wiener Schnitzel? I would understand it if it was freshly pounded and tossed in bittersweet! But 2 breaded cardboard slices from the industry, frozen into the fries? I think it's a shame that the quality in Wenzel is decreasing more and more, but the prices continue to rise. Yes, also taking into account the increasing wages and additional costs! I don’t blame the chefs either. Please ensure that quality comes before quantity! Price performance should still remain fair and a fresh veal schnitzel tossed in clarified butter can also be done fresh for less money! But thank you very much, we will still come back, but then again for the goulash.

Cozy restaurant with rustic cuisine. Highly recommended! The pork knuckle is also gluten-free and dairy-free and therefore suitable for celiac disease patients.

It wasn't our first time in the traditional Wenzel beer bar. The ambience is great, the food is very tasty, the service is really attentive, quick and friendly.

We say WOW and thank you for this tip. We were blown away by both the rooms and the Bohemian cuisine and then back again. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself. It is the brewery not far from the market square. The prices are totally ok, because the dishes also have funny prices, such as beef goulash for €18.97 and the Bohemian smoked knuckle for €18.78. Who knows prices like that?

Rustic restaurant as we know it in the Czech Republic. Here you will be warmly welcomed and welcomed. And I like going there to eat. In addition, you are always welcomed in a friendly manner and despite the stress, they always remain nice. Stay the way you are and I'm already excited to see what new dish will appear on the memory card? Yesterday I was with you again and ate the appetizer platter. When I was finished I was full and I thought the record was great because there was a bit of everyone on it and I really enjoyed it too. Yesterday I stopped by your place after my visit to the Landergartenschachau in Bad Dürrenberg, but because I wasn't hungry for anything warm, I put something together and it tasted really good. So there was a pork schnitzel with potato cucumber salad, something that was also refreshing. Super tasty 😋 😋

Good home cooking in a nice atmosphere! Price/performance fits

Very nicely designed restaurant inside, which makes you feel like you are in the Czech Republic... There is a good selection of Czech beers and food.

Unfortunately, the drinks weren't warm and overall weren't cold enough to really refresh. In a place like this I expect a perfectly tempered beer, especially on such a hot day. The solyanka was fine. Then I had a Bohemian omelette, which was very fluffy, but dry and extremely tasteless, not only lacking salt but also any spices. And the tomatoes were so sparingly dosed that they didn't contribute anything to the taste. It was too expensive for this mediocre performance.

We met up with siblings and partners for dinner. Since there were 9 of us, I made a reservation as a precaution. My brother is in a wheelchair, which is not a problem at all. The staff have installed a mobile ramp to overcome the stairs and there is a spacious toilet suitable for disabled people in the restaurant. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and polite. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is okay.

We had dinner here with several people. Great structured service, short waiting times and very good food. Above all, you should also enjoy a good Pilsner. There is also a small play area for the children. We will be back.

Went there for dinner with colleagues today. We sat on the patio. Quite small and narrow but still comfortable. Service was on point and friendly. We were also completely satisfied with the food. Reservations were also quick on the homepage. Definitely recommended.

We were here again with friends after a long time. In our opinion, the service and the food were top, except for the cheese spaetzle something was missing 🤷 Otherwise, the ambience in the interior is really well done. You can even tap your own beer whenever you want (extra charge), generally suitable for drinking beer, there is a meter of beer and other cool things on the menu We'll come by again and get rid of a meter of beer 🤓

We enjoyed being here again and again. Very nice restaurant with good food, good value for money and a pleasantly large, although not overloaded, selection of food and drinks. The dumplings are very tasty, but given the large portions, we as sauce eaters could use more of them. The service receives a small deduction in the points of attention and accommodation, but this does not detract from the friendliness. The little play area was very pleasant for us. Equally suitable for our 1.5 and 4 year old children and can be viewed by adults from different corners of the restaurant. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. We'd love to come back.

I ended up there by chance, but when I saw beef roulades on the display, I had to stay and it was a good decision. Everything was great. The prices are of course not entirely great, but in my opinion they are still within the green range. Food, dessert, large beer and a nightcap ~€38. You pay everywhere else too.

Wir kannten das Restaurant von früheren Besuchen, wurden jetzt mit hohen Preisen überrascht. Rinder Gulasch mit Knödel ohne alles 18,97€ und für etwas Rotkohl der eigentlich dazu gehört nochmal 3,97€. Als Getränk hatten wir Erbeer-Himbeer Limonade für je 5,95. Mahlzeit .

There were 5 of us, some things were good and some things weren't so good. Garlic soup was nothing, chicken was dry, generally relatively tasteless. Knuckle and burger was good. We fluctuate between 1 and 4 stars. Portions clear, prices high standard.

We were looking for a good restaurant with small dishes at lunchtime. So we came to the Wenzel restaurant. A very large rustic restaurant with lots of seats and a cozy atmosphere. We were immediately asked by the friendly staff where we would like to sit and the menus were brought to us. We ordered beer goulash with Bohemian dumplings. The portions were large enough and very tasty. The prices are also reasonable. We will definitely go here more often.

WoW - that was disappointing. 100 € for 3 people wouldn't be a problem - if our food had been tasty and the first service woman at the table had been friendly. Grilled knuckle with potatoes - knuckle was delicious, cabbage too - potatoes were probably pre-peeled and treated with sulfite. Wenzel roast with mushrooms and dumplings - The sauce was delicious, the roast was bland and so were the dumplings. Svíčková - my mother just said: "tastes completely different than in the Czech Republic" Topinka was very tasty! Three quark dumplings afterwards too!! But the pistachio ice cream - tastes good for the three of us not really like pistachios - a shame That's our personal opinion - but that's the point. My mother and I love Czech cuisine and Bohemian!! We have been to the Czech Republic often and for a long time over many decades, staying with our Czech friends in hotels and countless restaurants! Now the service - Woman asked my mother about the ice cream and then didn't even let her finish. My mother wanted to be with her Food order an ice cream for dessert. The waitress decided that my mother should order after dinner. She might be too full after eating. My mother said: "No!" The waitress said: “Yes!” And went. At the age of 86, my mother felt patronized by this woman! "Does she think I'm too old or too stupid to order food?" This restaurant was very disappointing to me, my mother and our guest. Wow!!!

Very good food and the quantity was just right. Service was also pleasant and the noise level was pleasant considering that it is quite centrally located.

Today we had dinner at Wenzel in Halle. THE service was a catastrophe, unfriendly, stressed, it took quite a while before anyone even tried to serve us and it wasn't full yet! The food was pretty good, but the ambience there itself had deteriorated significantly, everything seemed dingy and old, in desperate need of renovation, the prices are outrageous or not justified. So all in all, not recommended at the moment. Sorry, but that's not how gastronomy works at all!!

If you're traveling with large groups, it's certainly practical - reasonable prices, plenty of space, but quite noisy. The service is nice and unobtrusive. The food is average and more of a matter of taste. You won't find fine dining or culinary sophistication here. Down-to-earth dishes that reach guests relatively quickly. I can recommend the pinsa with salmon. 🙂

Nice, rustic industrial atmosphere that invites you to linger for a long time. The dumpling fries are something different and delicious. The in-house lemonades are a fruity refreshment, highly recommended. The quark balls and pancakes at the end were a treat to eat. 🤗 Unfortunately I wasn't able to try out the house's beer specialties because I was forced to do the driving. 😉 The furniture makes a very "safe" impression for hearty beer tastings, i.e. with the weight of the chairs you definitely won't tip over so quickly. ^^ The food was very tasty and plentiful at an adequate price. (3 people with 2.5 courses for approx. 130€) The service was on the ball and friendly/cheerful. The Wenzel in Halle definitely invites you to stay longer. While looking for a location before visiting the Steintorvarieté, we came across the Wenzel. Reserved online for 4 people. It worked out without a hitch. And we were warmly welcomed the next day😉 Very chic, rustic atmosphere.. Feels like there are a lot of seating options👍 The menu is varied but still manageable... That's how I like it! And then the food came (relatively quickly...ok...we arrived at 5:30 p.m. It's not manageable). Portions were just the right size, were very nice to look at and tasted just as great! 🤤😋 Plus a Czech Staropramen DARK.. Good friends at the table... And the evening was perfect👍😎

Goulash wasn't really warm, the dumplings were hard on the edges, probably from the microwave. We also mentioned that, but there was no response here either. I've been here several times over the last few years, and it's continually gotten more expensive and worse. Today was definitely the last time I was here.

Very good Czech cuisine. We enjoyed it.

It was our first time eating there and also our last time! The food wasn't bad, except for the garlic soup (the garlic was probably just on the side). The service was terrible. Our waitress was anything but friendly and well-groomed. She was really annoyed that we were sitting outside and wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. After paying, she didn't say "have a nice evening" or "goodbye".

The prices are due to VAT. is understandable. However, the kitchen has decided not to reduce the portion sizes. The beer goulash was so mini that I left Wenzel hungry for the first time. Service and quality are still good.
