A quaint restaurant in the center of Halle. The ambience is typical of a pub. Unfortunately, the service is not attentive and could make significantly more sales. The food is delicious, but the portions are rather small. The price-performance ratio for the food is okay. The location is good, parking is rather difficult

As expected, hearty Czech cuisine and delicious beer at a good price, I would like to have it again in Erfurt. Even if it is system catering, it is always better than the unnamed ones... And there is service in the former guild house.👍🏻

I had the beer goulash. It tasted very good, but for almost 19 euros, there was unfortunately very little on the plate.

The food was a 10/10, the service was top, but the background noise was like a playground, which was very, very tiring.

Unfortunately the Wiener Schnitzel wasn't particularly good. I had three fried schnitzels on my plate with fries, but that was what I wanted. A lettuce leaf for the eye would have significantly enhanced the plate. The meat has def. Didn't taste good, it was completely fried, and all for 31 euros. Our Cordon Bleu wasn't a hit either. What you put in the red cabbage at e.g. How to mix the roulade, for example, is a mystery to me. 12 hours later you're still belching from it. That's just unbearable. It's a shame that next time we'll only eat small things, not the big expensive things, because your beer is really good. It would be nice if you just got a little better again...

The "Wenzel" restaurant in Halle really surprised us in a positive way! I went there for lunch and I have to say: The food was really delicious – the vegetarian selection isn't huge, but what they offer tastes all the better for it. I especially liked how child-friendly it is. My little son was with us, and he was thrilled with the crayons and drawing paper – so we could eat in peace while he kept himself busy. The staff was also really nice to him, which made you feel welcome as a family. Two minor negatives perhaps: The vegetarian selection could be a bit more extensive, and it was a bit hectic inside. But all in all, it was a nice visit, and we'll definitely come back.

We have been to Wenzel's Bierstuben several times this year... very rustic, cozy location... you should always make a reservation, whether for lunch or dinner... the service staff were always friendly, nice, accommodating and no matter how full it was, they always had a smile on their face... the only drawback is the noise when it is full, as the location is very open... but we always like to come here again and again as the nice staff and the delicious food outweigh this drawback... Keep it up...

We were on home vacation again and ended up at Wenzels. As usual, great, home-style food in a rustic atmosphere. Food came super quickly and tasted very good. We always enjoy coming here with the family and can therefore absolutely recommend it.

Actually a very nice, quaint shop with a great menu!! The service could have been a little friendlier, and secondly the prices are not justified given the portion sizes. This is different. You can also mention a nice beer selection

We had reserved in advance for 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday. And that was a good decision because it was absolutely full. We haven't been to this restaurant before but we will definitely come back! Absolute recommendation! The food was great. And my beef roulade was so good that I remembered my late grandmother. And that should be taken as a compliment. Unfortunately we don't have any photos of the dishes.

Went here again after a long time and had a lovely evening. Delicious food at moderate prices, delicious and refreshing beer. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Gladly again... It's best to book a table in advance, which I did, it was very full and all the tables were occupied.

Wir waren am 15. Februar 2025 im Wenzel Mittagessen und wollten böhmische Küche genießen. Das Essen war enttäuschend. Das Gulasch entsprach einer Kinderportion und das Rotkraut musste separat für 4.00€ gekauft werden. Es schmeckte wie ein Fertiggericht. Auf die Getränke haben wir 30 Minuten gewartet. Der Service war mäßig. Das Essen war für seine Qualität überteuert. Das war unser erster und letzter Besuch in diesem Lokal.

A bit skeptical because of numerous negative reviews, we (4 people) embarked on the Wenzel “adventure” on a Saturday evening. The service team was friendly and very careful. The food was delicious, the portion size of the goulash was not large but sufficient. For some the ambience is in need of renovation, for others it is simply rustic, tastes differ. Anyone who has a problem with the prices, welcome to 2025, where even a plate of kebab at the snack bar costs €8. For those who are thrifty, I recommend the Wenzel Restaurants customer card. We liked it very much.

Cozy Czech food at Wenzel in Halle We visited the Wenzel in Halle and enjoyed a typical Czech meal - roast meat, dumplings, red cabbage and an ice cream at the end. Everything tasted good, especially the red cabbage had a unique, pleasant flavor and the meat was very tender. The beer is also a highlight: there are several varieties, and thanks to the smallest unit of 0.1 liters you can try it out. Tastes great! The only small disadvantage: it was quite loud, which somewhat affected the comfort. However, the service was very pleasant and polite. Overall, a clear recommendation for lovers of Czech cuisine!

We were able to easily reserve a table online at Wenzel Halle. We were escorted to our table by the very friendly and attentive service and were given our drinks quickly. We didn't wait long for the food and it was very tasty and plentiful. (There were also smaller portions.) Overall, we felt very comfortable in the cozy guest room and will come back soon.

Small portions of food for a lot of money... Best negative example for drinks: You get a 0.33L MezzoMix bottle (!) placed on the table for just €4.77. With the best will in the world, I can hardly recommend the store. I ate an apparently small portion of dumplings with goulash. The goulash was mushy. And yet this dish cost just under €20.

The beer goulash food is just great.

Nice staff and also good service. When we were there it was very loud, with lots of small children running around. The food came quickly but unfortunately it wasn't anything special, some of it tasted like it came out of the bag and I would have expected a lot more for the prices. (At least we had goulash, roast beef, 1/4 duck and weren't thrilled with the dishes) Tarte flambée was pretty tasty but also quite expensive and doesn't just fill you up (around €13-15 for a tarte flambée).

Reservierung empfohlen. Haxe war lecker, nicht trocken, dazu viele Biere, auch in 0,1l zum probieren. Auch unter der Woche gut besucht

In the run-up to Christmas we reserved a table online in advance for Sunday evening, which turned out to be the right decision when we arrived. The restaurant was full and potential guests who had not made reservations had to be turned away. We were kindly assigned the reserved table and our drink requests were accepted after a short time. The menu is well designed, with not too much choice but with drink tips for the dishes. After we placed the order it took a little longer for the food to come to the table. A positive thing to mention is that the lady from the service noticed our long wait and shortly afterwards the food was on the table. What can I say?! It was delicious and plentiful, which is why we unfortunately had to forego dessert. Regarding the ambience, I have to say that the rooms are rustically designed and furnished. Unfortunately, it was quite loud in the area where we were sitting - the children's play area with climbing castle and slide - but this subsided as time went on. All in all, a visit that I can recommend to anyone who likes good food. Bohemian cuisine is hearty and absolutely delicious.

I happened to be at Wenzel twice this week, I was very satisfied on the first visit and my roast beef with cream was very tasty. I had 3 slices of it and the price-performance ratio was okay. On the second visit, the food unfortunately arrived at the table cold and there were only two thin slices of roast beef on the plate. The answer from the waitress was that the size and weight played a role. It sounds plausible at first, but it was absolute nonsense since the portion was actually much smaller. I clearly see this as a rip-off for the Christmas business and I am extremely disappointed. Price, performance and delivering the food accordingly don't go together here. Too bad

Wenzel - always happy in every city. Great location in Halle and very nice ambience through the vault. Food and beer once again leave nothing to be desired. Tried the dumpling fries for the first time, they were great. We can also only recommend garlic bread.

Das war in meinen Augen der Wenzel in Halle und damit gehörte er zu einem meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Halle. Aber das ist Geschichte. Nach der ersten Enttäuschung im Wenzel habe ich auf einen „Ausrutscher“ gehofft und war am Freitagnachmittag mit Familie dort. Ich war sehr enttäuscht. Die Auswahl in der Karte hat sich von böhmischer Hausmannskost sehr entfernt. Es gibt keinen Braten mehr, die Schwarzbierrolle ist auch von der Karte weg. Haxe oder Gulasch in verschiedenen Variationen. Wenn ich Hamburger oder Flammkuchen will, kann ich auch woanders hingehen. Nun gut; die Haxe bestellt. Leider: Die Knödel lauwarm, die Haxe endlos fad, geschmacklos, ohne Kruste und ohne Raucharomen. Sollte eine Rauchhaxe sein. Das Lokal nur zu etwa 10% besetzt aber eine Bedienung war kaum zu sehen. Wäre schön, wenn kurz nach dem Servieren eine Servicekraft gekommen wäre. Ich hätte mich dann schon beklagt und gerne noch ein Bier getrunken. So saß ich vor einem leeren Glas bis zum Abräumen. Habe dann meine Klage sehr sehr deutlich vorgebracht. Ein Restaurantleiter hat sich nicht blicken lassen, stattdessen brachte ein anderer Kellner die Rechnung. Die Preise sind nicht günstig, aber da könnte man drüber hinwegschauen, wenn die Qualität stimmt. So viel Personal, das im Lokal herumlief, aber anscheinend völlig mit sich selber beschäftigt. Ach ja, beim Toilettengang dann noch gesehen, dass auch die Toilettenkontrolle nicht abgezeichnet wurde (oder gar nicht stattgefunden hat ?). Dieses Lokal wird meine Familie und mich nicht mehr sehen. Schade Schade Schade

Wenzel says it all. No matter where and no matter when, you can't pass by a Wenzel Bierstube! Beer in different variations and rustic food are guaranteed here. A goulash with Bohemian dumplings is my favorite dish. Lunch is on offer here and highly recommended. I love it.

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, Bedienung ganz nett, Essen war lecker. Portionsgrösse sehr übersichtlich. Dafür war der Preis aber etwas höher. Schade. Der Laden war früher besser. Und in Halle gibts da auch besseres.

Were there for the first time with a visitor from Frankfurt Main, very nice. Our son said that there is a lack of a restaurant like this in Frankfurt. That doesn't exist yet. We'll be back!!!

For the really hard-boiled, there are tables with their own tap. The prices are high, but absolutely reasonable! I'll definitely come back again.

Spontaneous visit to the restaurant for lunch break. Location, staff okay so far. Eating took forever, even though it was a lunch special. It's a shame, the dumplings were frozen. The Kasslernacken was good! Price/performance very good. Interesting for beer connoisseurs. Very good, tapped beer from the Czech Republic. Overall, unfortunately only 3 stars.

Great, we rolled a starter and a dessert on the house, where does that still exist today? The food was incredibly delicious, such an explosion of flavors. I can't remember eating so well last time. A very well-run, large, Bohemian restaurant with a beer garden.

Unfortunately, the fries were cold (but were immediately replaced with hot ones) and the portion size was on the lower side of the norm. I was used to it differently. But be careful: this is crying at a high level and as always it was great and a nice evening with delicious food and tasty beer :)

We were there with a large group. Drinks were quickly picked up and brought to the table. Our food came very quickly too. Everyone was very happy with the taste and quantity. I would particularly like to emphasize the service strength. Very attentive and friendly. Always kept an eye on our table and asked if we would like anything else.

I really like it here, great food, great drinks. A lot to choose from and possibilities for every one, there are vegan and vegetarian as well as meat dishes. I come from Czechia and I really like the food there, it is very well done, tasty and not that pricey. Great choice of beer and other beverages, there are a lot of Czech beers which is great. I would definitely recommend coming here, it looks like there are lots of people often, so a reservation is a good idea. Would recommend Will come back

Tastes . Very close to Bohemian.

The Wenzels Bierstuben have long been known for their excellent Bohemian cuisine. So it's no wonder that we stopped here when we visited Halle. As always, friendly and courteous service and the food was again great. We sat outside, but from previous visits I know that the inside is very nicely decorated. Thank you for the lovely stay.

But I wouldn't have expected that and if I had had to pay for the food, wow wow there would have been harsh criticism on my birthday. The service staff are very friendly, each in their own way. But to eat, just under 30 euros for one (2) Wiener Schnitzel? I would understand it if it was freshly pounded and tossed in bittersweet! But 2 breaded cardboard slices from the industry, frozen into the fries? I think it's a shame that the quality in Wenzel is decreasing more and more, but the prices continue to rise. Yes, also taking into account the increasing wages and additional costs! I don’t blame the chefs either. Please ensure that quality comes before quantity! Price performance should still remain fair and a fresh veal schnitzel tossed in clarified butter can also be done fresh for less money! But thank you very much, we will still come back, but then again for the goulash.

Cozy restaurant with rustic cuisine. Highly recommended! The pork knuckle is also gluten-free and dairy-free and therefore suitable for celiac disease patients.

We say WOW and thank you for this tip. We were blown away by both the rooms and the Bohemian cuisine and then back again. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself. It is the brewery not far from the market square. The prices are totally ok, because the dishes also have funny prices, such as beef goulash for €18.97 and the Bohemian smoked knuckle for €18.78. Who knows prices like that?

Rustic restaurant as we know it in the Czech Republic. Here you will be warmly welcomed and welcomed. And I like going there to eat. When I was finished I was full and I thought the record was great because there was a bit of everyone on it and I really enjoyed it too. Yesterday I stopped by your place after my visit to the Landergartenschachau in Bad Dürrenberg, but because I wasn't hungry for anything warm, I put something together and it tasted really good. So there was a pork schnitzel with potato cucumber salad, something that was also refreshing. Super tasty 😋 😋
