Today January 30th We were in a small group of 7 at the Seehof and played on the curling rink before dinner. It was a great experience - the rink is beautifully located and the curling director did a great job!
Unfortunately, our experience in the restaurant was not so positive. Even though we had reserved in advance, no one thought it necessary to inform us that the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. You could almost think it wasn't intentional.
Shortly before 9:00 p.m. we went to the dining room and ordered our drinks. When these were served and we wanted to order our food, we were told curtly: "The kitchen is closed from 9 p.m.." When we asked whether a small cheese plate might be possible - without much effort - unfortunately there was only one a clear “no”.
Conclusion:
• Location: Very good
• Curling: Good to very good, the leader in particular was top
• Gastronomy: Unfortunately inflexible and little effort is made to accommodate the guests
It's a shame, with a little more hospitality there would certainly have been a better rating.
In terms of location, this would actually be the best beer garden in Augsburg. Unfortunately, there isn't much on offer in terms of quality. The so-called Aperol Spritz is mixed using an original Aperol bottle. But it tastes like a juice and champagne spritz. That's pretty bold. I hope for new tenants or a rethinking of the existing tenants.
I actually wanted to order a table, I checked the opening times online beforehand, ok... because you can sit inside even in winter, not just in the beer garden. You can really see that. But when I called, the answering machine came straight away and explained that they were closed in the winter months and that they only accepted groups... well, we're not exactly a group of two. But the fact that it still says “Open”...! That could have been put there in one sentence. I'm a bit disappointed with this kind of behavior!!!
Good for a quick bite and some drinks after work. No problem just ordering dessert and drinks while others enjoy a complete meal at the same table. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food was unexpectedly very good with large portions.
Food was super disgusting, both had a currywurst with fries and sauce, a cheap paprika sauce didn't fit at all and the sausage was just dry.
Got 1 star because the beer and the waiter were good.
I would say the accommodation is enough for sleeping but that is not the case. The room was in very bad condition. And that's putting it politely. I would like to add pictures but unfortunately that doesn't work.
Location is absolutely a 5 Star! I really hope the owners get this place up and running again. What a great area to come to explore, hike around, play around with the kids. Bike trails activities etc. Just awesome! Now it's dying away.....
Of course many years ago:+((. Really hope it picks back up after a couple of renovations.
Nice beer garden. However, you can skip eating. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good, there's still a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately this time the food was not edible because everything was ready and the potato wedges were thawed but not cooked through.
