The food was delicious, but we weren't impressed with the value for money.
We had three courses, freely chosen from the menu. Depending on the course, they ranged in taste from good to very good. The price of a 0.75l bottle of water (€9.80) and four additional small slices of bread (€5.80) is a bit jarring. It was a nice evening, but in our opinion, the price didn't reflect the overall experience, so we wouldn't repeat.
Unforgettable flavors!
Fresh and delicious desserts, with authentic flavors that make you want to come back. Every bite is a little trip to paradise!🥰🥰🥰
We spontaneously went on our local bike tour because of the good reviews. We ordered three fried fish rolls. The fish was freshly prepared in front of my eyes. Salted, dragged through the pond and fried. Deep-fried would have been even better because it would certainly have been even crispier. But that's complaining at a high level. It was very tasty, juicy and a really thick piece.
The price-performance ratio is right here, €5.50 I think is more than fair! No frozen briquettes! Fresh, delicious rolls, salad and delicious remoulade dip, which was certainly homemade!
Very, very nice team, no matter who you spoke to.
Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!
The restaurant is very nice and easily accessible, located right on Neustadt Harbor.
Since Ambrosia is open later in the evening than other restaurants in Neustadt, we arrived at 8:45 p.m. on a Friday, hungry and in a happy weekend mood after a busy week.
We sat down at the table, received our menus, and wanted to start a friendly chat with the male server by asking how he was feeling. However, he had "clenched his face into a fist" and muttered grumpily, "It's a must, it's a must."
I opted for meal number 24: Alternative HOT PLATTER for 1 person for 24.90
Description on the menu: with zucchini, eggplant, broad beans, dolmadakia, saganaki, chtipiti, sardines, 1 king prawn, garlic paste, garlic bread, and octopus salad.
What was served was very attractive and delicious, but did not match the description on the menu. The eggplant and king prawns were completely missing, dolmadakia and sardines (plural) were only available once each, and the remaining dishes were extremely bland and minimalistic! It was appetizingly presented and tasted good, but in my opinion, the price-performance ratio wasn't right.
When we were asked during the clearing of our plates if everything was okay, we replied that the king prawns and eggplant were missing. Unfortunately, by that point, the server no longer remembered what he had served us. However, that didn't stop him from starting a heated argument.
We repeatedly asked for Saki, the owner of the restaurant, to join us. We invited him to sit down at our table to discuss the problem. Unfortunately, he was not at all open to constructive criticism. He immediately became loud, cursed at us, and even told us to shut up.
We paid for our food and were about to leave the restaurant when he called after us that we should go to the "Italian" restaurant from now on.
Saki FOLLOWED us to the door to say "goodbye"...definitely not!!!
Every year for my husband's birthday we go to Lee Ho Fook. With four children we don't want a trendy, trendy Cantonese restaurant. We have two small children with us who find it difficult to sit still for two hours, but the staff are always reliable! Whether we want straws for the children or a table a little further away so as not to disturb the other guests, our every wish is fulfilled. Almost everyone in the family orders their favorite dish, which may be old-fashioned, but everyone is always happy and satisfied after the meal; the quality hasn't fluctuated for years. An old-school tradition that we wouldn't want to miss. Even though we only visit once a year, everyone knows our family's name and you are welcomed like an old friend. You get the feeling of visiting friends, despite the hordes of children - where else can you find that?!
Highly recommended. Inventive, beautifully prepared cuisine. A good selection of wines. The ambiance conveys an impression of old Hanseatic elegance. The owner is a warm hostess in the truest sense of the word.
Finally arrived (again) looking for a really good Greek restaurant.
I have been a Greek cuisine junkie for many years and was now almost desperate to find a taverna in Flensburg and the surrounding area that not only mastered one or two disciplines, but was good all around.
I knew where to get decent bifteki, whose gyros were passable, and that no one seemed to be able to make souflaki that wasn't dry.
But! Taverna Crete can do that! And Susukakia. And gyros. And lamb. And liver! And coleslaw. And tomato rice. And Metaxa sauce - which I've already been offered in some other places - defies description. Here she is fine; In general, the three of us had nothing(!) on our plates that wasn't exceptionally good.
It's just crazy that this was pretty much my last attempt; because I was “hooked” in Taverna Crete at the time. Back then I was still a plug, got my first gyros there and haven't been able to live without it (for long) since then ;-). But somehow it was never “on the way” for me.
No matter - this restaurant is definitely worth a longer detour. Table has already been ordered for next time...
EDIT: Been there several times now. Time for the sixth star - they make the Béarnaise themselves! O_o A butter sauce made with raw egg! You have to be able to do that - and have the courage. This is usually reserved for the high price level. Chapeau; On top of that, it tastes great.
We were there with 3 people. The food and the waiting time were okay. The service was nice and friendly. We sat in the restaurant. Since it was very warm outside, the doors were open so we got seats quickly. When I asked the gentleman at the counter before dinner if we could get other seats, I was told "no" straight away, even though there were other tables available. So after eating and paying we left straight away, which was a shame. The next cold will probably be coming soon.
We were there with a larger group.
Oysters first - all a 10/10.
Unfortunately, the mussels in the main course were not in the best of taste; This was also confirmed by one of the senior employees. All (X6) mussel main courses were canceled without any problem and we were offered new main courses. Gladly again in an authentic atmosphere!
