HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! One of the best, if not the best, fish restaurants we've ever been to. The fish terrine is incredibly delicious and packed with fish. But all the other dishes are also fantastic. Even our companion, who doesn't usually eat fish, was thrilled. The price is actually far too reasonable for the amazing fish and the generous portions. The service is very friendly and attentive. We always come back when we're on holiday in Fehmarn. The fish is caught locally, with one exception, and is incredibly fresh, and you can taste it in every dish. We will definitely be back and hope the owners continue their excellent work for a long time, because you rarely find places like this these days. A big thumbs up!

Simply excellent! What more can I say? We were here for the second time today, and we weren't disappointed. We felt very comfortable. Very friendly service! We also tried the self-service restaurant across the street and were very disappointed. We'd be happy to come back anytime.

Finally, some really good fish and plenty of it on the plate, without a thick coating of breadcrumbs or from a frozen package. You can watch the chef prepare the fish. The staff are incredibly friendly. We were really pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is simple, typical northern German. Very clean.

We were lucky enough to attend a kitesurfing event today and were hungry around 5 p.m. With a recommendation from a neighbor, we tried to dine here without making a reservation. We were very kindly assigned a table of our choice, which was reserved from 7 p.m. It was a perfect end to the day in a typically North German and sophisticated atmosphere...

We wanted to go out for a delicious meal! We tried several times the day before to reserve a table. It wasn't possible! It took hours. When we tried to get a table on the spur of the moment, we were rudely dismissed by the overwhelmed manager. It's a shame - another restaurant we're turning our backs on.

This restaurant is always worth a visit. There were eight of us, and everyone was very satisfied. The selection and service are excellent, whether it's fish, meat, or salad. The only downside was that you have to pre-order well in advance, but we're happy to accept that now. We'll be back.

We've been to the island of Fehmarn six times so far, at various campsites, each time for three weeks, and at least three times at Kolle's Fischpfanne. Each time, we were more than satisfied. The food is super fresh and tastes delicious. Everything is served very quickly, the service is very friendly, and the chef has everything under control, even when the restaurant is full. We received a friendly welcome and had a lovely table by the window. The whole plaice Finkenwerder style was well-fried and delicious 😋 The zander fillet on leek vegetables with crab sauce and fried potatoes was very tasty. The pasta with tomato sauce was okay, but the tomato sauce tasted a bit like packets. We went there yesterday on a recommendation and were thrilled. It was incredibly delicious. We had a fish and a meat dish. It takes a while to get the food, but it's freshly prepared and hot. Very friendly service. Reservations are a good idea. We definitely recommend it.

We spent two days on Fehmarn and ate at Kolle's Fischpfanne both days. The staff was super friendly and the food was incredibly delicious. The fish soup truly tasted of delicious fresh fish, not like the tomato soup you often get. We tried four dishes – the flavors were amazing. The food here is cooked with a lot of love and respect for high-quality ingredients, rather than simply frying the fish in a deep fryer. We will definitely eat at Kolle's Fischpfanne again on our next trip to the Baltic Sea. A wonderful, clean, and beautifully decorated restaurant. Thank you.

Very nice service and extremely good food

For us, this is by far the best fish restaurant on Fehmarn and always worth a visit. When I discovered the restaurant a few years ago, my companions were initially reluctant to go in because of the somewhat rustic ambiance, but the menu wasn't wrong: Here, you'll find genuine Baltic Sea cuisine such as cod, pollock, herring, and mackerel, prepared with the highest level of craftsmanship and with incomparable warmth from the service. The portions are huge, the value for money is excellent (a meal for three people with a bottle of wine and water cost around €100-130), and it's not for nothing that you can't get a table in the evening without a reservation. The fish soup is highly recommended; it's so full of fish, crab, and mussels that it's difficult to eat anything other than a main course after this as a starter. And even those who don't like fish can find good alternatives such as steak, boiled beef, or something vegetarian. The fish is cooked to perfection; perhaps lacking that last bit of perfection for a Michelin-starred restaurant, but most guests won't be able to judge that. The side dishes are also sensationally good, with potatoes freshly prepared in-house and not a convenience dish. Changing side orders is no problem, and the salad is dressed at the table. And with every order, the service thanks you as warmly as if you'd just donated a kidney :-) This is true even when the place is buzzing and all the tables are occupied. You arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend. The quality and warmth have remained consistent over the years, which is why we rarely eat anywhere else on Fehmarn and hope to be able to return to this culinary gem for many years to come.

Kolle's Fischpfanne has the best fish on all of Fehmarn. It's prepared very, very deliciously, simply amazing.

After our first attempt without a reservation, which unfortunately resulted in no space left, we made a reservation yesterday as a precaution and were able to enjoy dinner there. The restaurant seemed rather unimpressive at first glance, but the visit was worthwhile. The service was consistently very friendly and welcoming. The food was incredibly plentiful, tasted great, and was not run-of-the-mill. I can highly recommend the fish dish for two people, for example. I thought it was particularly great that all the dishes are available in children's portions, so the kids don't just have the standard selection of chicken nuggets and noodles - I've never experienced that before. Whatever the children couldn't finish was willingly packed up for us before we could even ask for it. I was thrilled and would like to thank the team!

It was our first time on the island and we ate there three times (because it was so delicious and friendly). The Aalkate next door seems better at first glance, but it's a self-service rip-off. At Kolle's Fischpfanne, on the other hand, you get friendly service and delicious fish in very generous portions. Be sure to try the terrine of fish soup. Thanks for the delicious food and friendly service. We got a table even without a reservation (with a reminder that a reservation would be required later, no problem...we had over an hour to eat).

The ambiance invites you to linger. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas. Plenty of parking is available. A paid parking lot is a 3-minute walk away.

We arrived today around 5:30 p.m., but had called and reserved a table. We know that it's almost impossible to eat there without a reservation. We've never experienced such friendly, polite, and attentive service. The food is good, rustic German cuisine. A sensational fresh salad with the large schnitzel. The egg could have been a little better; if the white is still running, that's not my thing. The potato soup is delicious, and there's plenty of cod in it. I can happily recommend the pasta omelet. All in all, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Trust the many reviews. Truly delicious. We had fried herring with fried potatoes and a fish salad. Both were fantastic. Highly recommended, and the dog even got a bowl of water, without being asked. Absolutely thrilled. Reasonable prices too, hence 5 stars.
