Nice, courteous service and a rustic atmosphere. You can also sit on the terrace with a view of the harbor. The food is down-to-earth, plentiful and delicious. There is also a lunch menu.

With three small, loud and sometimes nerve-racking children, we were warmly welcomed without a reservation. The kids were treated incredibly friendly, and every child who came in after us was treated equally. There was something to paint and play with. The service was perfect and friendly without complaint. The food… we didn't want to stop, but we couldn't anymore. The portions were very good and so incredibly tasty. We'll be back!!! And we recommend this restaurant not only but also to families!!!

The restaurant is really good. The location is excellent, the service is good and the food is delicious. Overall it's not cheap, but everything was right and I think the price is justified. In my experience, it's better to make a reservation because it's busy. However, a reservation outside of peak times may not be necessary

It was really nice to eat fish on Fehmarn - so it was a good idea to try out the Goldener Anker. Prominently located at the harbor in Burgstaaken between the climbing silo and the harbor basin, with a beautiful terrace it is definitely a good address. To put it bluntly: the food is excellent! I had Mediterranean fish soup (excellent) and wanted a fried plaice. Unfortunately the waiter misunderstood me and I got plaice fillet, but that can happen and the plaice fillets were delicious. Actually a quaint restaurant, but the large dining room has the charm and noise level of a train station lobby. At least when the store is full and that seems to be the rule. Luckily we sat in the next room, so it was bearable. The service was otherwise OK. The prices are designed according to the beautiful location. Something too overwhelming for me personally. Next time I'll go in the summer in the hope of getting a spot on the terrace.

The service was great... the children were given a coloring card and pens straight away, so they were kept busy straight away. The selection on the children's menu was also amazing, something I've never experienced before. We ate from the lunch menu and it was OK for the price. The food was delicious. Definitely recommended with children.

We were already in the golden anchor this spring and were very happy with everything despite the slightly higher prices. We were really looking forward to the visit, but this joy quickly turned into disillusionment. Despite a reservation at 7 p.m., we stood in a crowd of people waiting at the front door for about 20 minutes. New guests kept coming, while the existing guests were definitely annoyed that we were breathing down their necks. Some of those waiting were asked about their reservation, in fact we were completely ignored. The waiter assured the crowd twice that it would start soon, and some guests just had to pay. Except for a group of tables - which was very rudely asked to “clear the table”, nothing moved. After a lot of standing around, we went outside again and made our way home via the cobblestone path - which is certainly a listed building. A “we don’t have anything free today” would have done the trick too.

Quaint restaurant with nice and friendly service. Great and delicious food. I can give my direct recommendation for food here, as we were there twice. But the fish dishes were absolutely great. My wife and our friends were absolutely thrilled. Advance reservation is recommended!

Well, unfortunately not so good. The reserved table was not yet free when we arrived on time. So wait a little longer, no problem. Unfortunately, the table assigned to us was very small, smaller than the one we had to wait at. The 5th person couldn't sit properly. It was very loud and therefore not really comfortable. The fish was quite good, but the pork medallions were not appropriate for the (too) high price. They were swimming in packet gravy with canned mushrooms. That's not possible at all at this price. There was also a side salad from the bag, which had a delicious sauce. While we were still eating, tables and chairs were loudly being pushed around next to us. Not all very hospitable. Therefore “only” 3 stars from me.

Here you can get delicious fish in a rustic atmosphere right by the harbor. The dishes are tasty, portions are decent. The prices are not cheap, but the overall package is okay. For children there is something to paint and a small corner with games/books.

I had dinner there with my mother a while ago. This was our first and only time at this restaurant. We each had a fisherman's dish, I with fries, my mother with fried potatoes. The taste of the food was okay - not bad, but not a palate explosion either. After my mother had eaten about 2/3 of her fried potatoes, she discovered a fried fly. Inform the waitress straight away and let them take a look. Reaction: My mother got a schnapps on the house and that was the end of the matter. The fly would probably have landed on it when it was being served. Sorry, but then it probably wouldn't have been lying at the bottom soaked in drippings. It doesn't work at all! We abruptly finished eating and my mother battled the herpes of her life for two weeks afterwards.

Really great restaurant and excellent fish dishes! The portions were really generous, so the prices are absolutely reasonable. We particularly liked the special family friendliness! Without us asking, the little ones were immediately brought painting materials, later the children's food was brought first, there was a colorful straw in the drink and there is a great play area. You feel right at home here with children! Thanks for the great service.

Spontaneously went at 6:00 p.m., nothing left, but something is possible for 7:00 p.m.❗️So reserved for 7:00 p.m., took the dog for a ride and went back. We didn't regret it, friendly staff, very good food & great ambience. Dogs are welcome ❗️ Everything worked out for us, if we are in the area again with the motorhome we would be happy to come back.👍👍

It's higher priced, but the portions were really filling and very tasty, so in my opinion the prices are okay. Plus a clear view of what's happening in the harbor, we'd love to come back.

This time we were disappointed, the fish wasn't of the usual quality and unfortunately neither was the service. For 1 Alster 0.5 6.90 is steep. Normally we go there regularly on our vacation, but not this year.

The food was great. The portions were really decent. The food was similarly priced to that of other restaurants on the island, but more delicious and heartily prepared. But here too the question: people €6.20 for a beer. Why?!?! For €4 I drink two beers. But so I share a soda with my wife. On principle.

We are a biker club and stopped here for lunch at the Goldener Anker during a ride. The restaurant and the outdoor area were fully booked. The staff served us very courteously and the food was also very tasty! We would love to come back...

Great service, large portions, nice service. Children are automatically given a children's ticket. We have been there several times and have always felt comfortable and well served.

I can fully agree with the good reviews: very nice terrace with a view of the harbor, professional and very friendly service and a menu that leaves nothing to be desired. Everything worth its price! If you want to eat well and sit nicely, this is the place for you.

Basically fantastic food. Very, very tasty and really fresh fish. However, you often have to wait a long time for the food to arrive. Of course that's not so exciting with children.

Unfortunately, it can happen that one colleague leads you to the table and the next one sends you away. So I can't say what the food is like, but reservations are recommended.

We wanted to sit at a table for four, we were informed by a waitress that we couldn't do that because the terrace was otherwise full and we were asked to leave. The people sitting next to us reacted promptly, complained, a waiter came and we were able to sit there. The beer tasted good, we didn't eat there.

After I wanted to make a reservation the day before and the answer came: not necessary for this time, I didn't make a reservation. When we got there the next day at that time, there was a queue. We left this place and chose a better solution.

We had to wait 30 minutes for our beer, it wasn't busy, and then it wasn't the right one. Our request for the right beer (6.50 euros for 0.5 l) not to have to wait so long again was acknowledged with the request "... you can go..", which we were happy to do. In town the prices are a good 1/3 lower... a simple plaice for 32 euros is not fair after looking at the plates of the elderly customers (all pensioners). The menu was also sticky, not for us.

We had to wait 30 minutes for our beer, then it didn't match our order. After we asked the waitress about it, we were shouted at in front of all the other guests. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. We didn't come to eat because we of course left the restaurant due to the behavior of the waitress. The prices listed here from the menu are very outrageous anyway. I've been here a few times but this was the last time. Doesn't work at all

We stopped here at short notice on the way back from our holiday in Sweden. Although it was very busy, we were greeted very friendly and were able to get a table after a short time. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice and helpful. The price is in the upper region, but it fits.

Had lunch here last week. Had the Mediterranean fish soup, which was excellent. Lots of filling and bread also justified the price. Service was friendly and attentive, although a bit slow. Any time!

Without too many expectations, I went to the rather simple restaurant for dinner. Despite obvious staffing problems, the main waiter was very friendly and attentive and skillfully guided his helpers, some of whom did not speak German, through the evening in English. My Labskaus was very good.

Very similar dishes, fried fish. Which is fine if you look at the prices still posted on Google maps. When we visited, under the impression that these were the prices we were expecting, we were shocked by the increased pricing on the menu. Balance is gone now, hence the unfortunate 2 starts

Was really nice food, but it's next to an weat-distributing company, because of that, the atmosphere was a bit disturbed (weat-collecting season). Despite that, the personnel was really friendly. The restaurant was really full, but the food came under 20minutes after ordering!

Anyone looking for high-quality fish cuisine will find it here. Even after 27 years on vacation in Fehmarn, I eat here once every year. We love the classic dishes, side dishes like we used to have in special bowls. Meat lovers will also be happy with real Wiener Schnitzel, but there is also a poultry version. The atmosphere in the harbor with the fantastic fishing pub atmosphere in the restaurant always takes me back a century, at least that's how I imagine it. The restaurant is one of the more expensive but worth every cent.

Went there for lunch w/ the recommendation as a child-friendly restaurant. Space outside on the terrace with a direct view of the harbor and the departing silo ship. And unexpectedly for us there was a lot of tractor traffic (farmers drive the grain directly to the scales next door and to the silo), which the kids found exciting. Food (from the fish daily/lunch menu) was tasty and portions - including those from the kids - were decent. Prices moderate & common. Service & waiting time ok. Overall, a simple restaurant, highly recommended. -/- Maybe I'm a bit biased, but fresh wheat beer tastes different (but you don't necessarily have to drink it with fish)

We were there a week ago. The food was ok, but unfortunately the schnitzel and fish were just too fatty. Our children had potato pancakes with applesauce. Both were happy. There was also something to do at the table for children, which was really good, but unfortunately we had to wait a long time. We were there once, another time is out of the question for us.

We enjoyed the view from the harbor and the evening sun and the food came after a good 45 minutes. Everything was very tasty, just as ordered. Gladly again.😊👍
