We wanted to sit at a table for four, we were informed by a waitress that we couldn't do that because the terrace was otherwise full and we were asked to leave. The people sitting next to us reacted promptly, complained, a waiter came and we were able to sit there. The beer tasted good, we didn't eat there.

After I wanted to make a reservation the day before and the answer came: not necessary for this time, I didn't make a reservation. When we got there the next day at that time, there was a queue. We left this place and chose a better solution.

A great ambience, tasty food and friendly service at reasonable prices.

We had to wait 30 minutes for our beer, it wasn't busy, and then it wasn't the right one. Our request for the right beer (6.50 euros for 0.5 l) not to have to wait so long again was acknowledged with the request "... you can go..", which we were happy to do. In town the prices are a good 1/3 lower... a simple plaice for 32 euros is not fair after looking at the plates of the elderly customers (all pensioners). The menu was also sticky, not for us.

We had to wait 30 minutes for our beer, then it didn't match our order. After we asked the waitress about it, we were shouted at in front of all the other guests. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. We didn't come to eat because we of course left the restaurant due to the behavior of the waitress. The prices listed here from the menu are very outrageous anyway. I've been here a few times but this was the last time. Doesn't work at all

Had lunch here last week. Had the Mediterranean fish soup, which was excellent. Lots of filling and bread also justified the price. Service was friendly and attentive, although a bit slow. Any time!

We stopped here at short notice on the way back from our holiday in Sweden. Although it was very busy, we were greeted very friendly and were able to get a table after a short time. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice and helpful. The price is in the upper region, but it fits.

Without too many expectations, I went to the rather simple restaurant for dinner. Despite obvious staffing problems, the main waiter was very friendly and attentive and skillfully guided his helpers, some of whom did not speak German, through the evening in English. My Labskaus was very good.

The wait for our food (over an hour) was absolutely worth it. Really generous, fresh and super tasty portions. I had the 4 types of herring with fried potatoes and was really full afterwards. Absolutely recommended 😀

Was really nice food, but it's next to an weat-distributing company, because of that, the atmosphere was a bit disturbed (weat-collecting season). Despite that, the personnel was really friendly. The restaurant was really full, but the food came under 20minutes after ordering!

Very similar dishes, fried fish. Which is fine if you look at the prices still posted on Google maps. When we visited, under the impression that these were the prices we were expecting, we were shocked by the increased pricing on the menu. Balance is gone now, hence the unfortunate 2 starts

Went there for lunch w/ the recommendation as a child-friendly restaurant. Space outside on the terrace with a direct view of the harbor and the departing silo ship. And unexpectedly for us there was a lot of tractor traffic (farmers drive the grain directly to the scales next door and to the silo), which the kids found exciting. Food (from the fish daily/lunch menu) was tasty and portions - including those from the kids - were decent. Prices moderate & common. Service & waiting time ok. Overall, a simple restaurant, highly recommended. -/- Maybe I'm a bit biased, but fresh wheat beer tastes different (but you don't necessarily have to drink it with fish)

Anyone looking for high-quality fish cuisine will find it here. Even after 27 years on vacation in Fehmarn, I eat here once every year. We love the classic dishes, side dishes like we used to have in special bowls. Meat lovers will also be happy with real Wiener Schnitzel, but there is also a poultry version. The atmosphere in the harbor with the fantastic fishing pub atmosphere in the restaurant always takes me back a century, at least that's how I imagine it. The restaurant is one of the more expensive but worth every cent.

We were there a week ago. The food was ok, but unfortunately the schnitzel and fish were just too fatty. Our children had potato pancakes with applesauce. Both were happy. There was also something to do at the table for children, which was really good, but unfortunately we had to wait a long time. We were there once, another time is out of the question for us.

Unfortunately we were not at all satisfied and cannot recommend the restaurant. The fish was richly breaded, but still dry. And the service was incredibly bad: the plates were slammed onto the table without comment and then you didn't have the opportunity to order another drink. Too bad.

We went there spontaneously as vacationers. The restaurant was pretty full. We then sat on the terrace with a view of the harbor. When ordering, we were informed that we would have to expect a waiting time due to the large number of guests. A very good tip. Then you don't wait in vain... We enjoyed the view from the harbor and the evening sun and the food came after a good 45 minutes. Everything was very tasty, just as ordered. Gladly again.😊👍

Went there for dinner with the family and were incredibly excited about this quaint harbor restaurant. The food was a dream, from fish to schnitzel and sour meat to the salad, everything was perfect. The service is so attentive and friendly and even takes the time to have a little chat even though it's working at full speed - that's amazing. Anyone who is on Fehmarn should definitely stop by here and let their palate be pampered. We will definitely do it again and again.

In July we had dinner at the Goldener Anker. The service was friendly and tried hard, but overwhelmed. The fish we ordered was dry and appeared to have been reheated in the microwave. It was only partially edible. We have found out in other restaurants that things can be better. We cannot recommend the restaurant.

Very tasty fish but also a great children's menu, just great

We ate great. The fish platter for 2 people leaves nothing to be desired. The children's plate with salmon is a very decent portion. We are very happy to recommend it.

Both of us, my wife and I, were lucky to get a seat at 6 p.m. The order was then taken straight away. Our salmon fillet with Dpinat and fried potatoes and the plaice fillet with potatoes and dip were served very quickly. It tasted very good and was plentiful. Everything went quickly. The waitresses are very, very hardworking, fast and friendly. We can only recommend this restaurant.

For the fourth time there and again great. Firstly, the food: super tasty and large portions. Secondly, the service: even when it's at full capacity (and that's always there; make sure you make a reservation) it's totally on point, attentive, friendly. Especially with children. Of course, even a dog gets its water bowl. The ambience in the anchor is of course rather rustic, but that's part of the charm. What's the point of ultra-modern etc. if the service and food weren't right? So: Top recommendation for every Fehmarn holidaymaker who likes to eat fish (and yes, there is also meat on the menu)!

We had a delicious meal as a family. The food was fresh and of wonderful quality. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the drinks, but it was completely full in the restaurant and outside. Our children also found it very tasty and the portions were enough for everyone!

The fried potatoes weren't really hot and crispy, but my partner thought they were good. I thought my dish “marinated herring” was a fail because the fish was not marinated, but the sauce was prepared separately for the herring.

A spontaneous trip here turned out to be the right decision as the food (arrived with high expectations and great hunger) was excellent.

The fish is super tasty. The prices are an absolute limit for the rather simple atmosphere.

Was there with my wife and son, it was very tasty, the decor was nice and rustic and had a certain charm, the service was very nice and courteous, we were completely satisfied and will definitely recommend this restaurant and visit it again when we come back to Fehmarn should be 😄

Were there yesterday. The food is delicious. The cucumber salad is better than mom's. Service very attentive. It's a must if you're on holiday on Fehmarn. Only recommended.

Delicious food, reasonable prices and we would love to come back

This was the best fish ever! A must try! The crabsauce was out of this world and even the fried potatoes were very tasty with a grilled flavor.

We 'accidentally' stumbled in, traveling with small children, oops, but it was so late...quick to eat something here. And then: wonderful freshly fried herrings, no unnecessary frills, simply delicious! Great terrace, nice service and super CHILD FRIENDLY! A special menu for little people, lovingly considered dishes. I always feel sorry for the chef that my child only eats fries. The toilet has everything for little princes and princesses: potty, changing table, pads, diaper, wet wipes, bag. And not just in the women's toilet but also in the men's toilet. Yes, just a thoughtful detail, but heavens, how nice is that? If I could give ten stars, you would get them. Thank you for being great.

Very good food and large portions. Everything top notch. The only ones that pulled down were all the tractors for the silo, but it was taking time now.

The food is super tasty and the service is great. Despite a super full restaurant, the waiting time was completely OK. The cleanliness also deserves top marks. So if you like fish dishes, you'll really get your money's worth there. But the non-fish dishes are also excellent.

Delicious fish dishes, great selection, a nice children's menu, delicious drinks. Like everywhere else, a little overpriced. Despite the sometimes long waiting times, the waiter keeps updating you on what your order is doing. Very committed waiter, you can see that there is a lot going on and the team does everything they can to satisfy the customer. We found it delicious and very enjoyable. Despite the nice weather, we managed to get a table for two people. There was still a lot of space inside. Harbor plate with cod fillet, fried herring and fried potatoes for 26 euros was plentiful and good. I think that's really appropriate. However, I find the drinks with 0.5l beer/cola... for just under 6 euros to be upscale. I would come again, overall we really liked it. The service was also attentive, although it sometimes took a long time.

I'm excited! A day trip to Fehmarn with a delicious ending at the Goldener Anker! I wanted fish and got 3 super fresh fish fillets with delicious fried potatoes. At a fair price (what you can call fair today 😎).

Preparation master class, ambient just an active port with plenty of traffic (authentic). Recommendation as a fish restaurant! Very child-friendly service (not local).

Very simple restaurant. The fish dishes were practically inedible. Everything was completely fried. Chef has probably never cooked fish before. The fish soups didn't taste good either. Fried potatoes were ok. Beer was ok too. Staff was friendly. I would advise against a visit.

We got married on the fishing boat Tümmler on Fehmarn and didn't have any plates on board for the wedding cake. We went over to the golden anchor to ask if we could borrow plates, no problem. Thank you very much for borrowing it. Greetings Jens & Sylvia

We planned to eat for dinner. When you entered the restaurant, the signal from the waiter was immediately clear: no one moves here without him giving them the OK. Getting a table looked almost hopeless in his eyes. Two people at a table for four? Oh no !!! Next to it, a man sat alone at a table of eight. The order was quick and the food was nothing special. They had forgotten to serve the Jäger sauce with the schnitzel. When I asked, the schnitzel was taken away without comment and the schnitzel was then served separately from the sauce. From that moment on we were no longer served and completely ignored. I went to the counter to order a beer, which was only met with a grumpy comment in my beard. Unfriendly, self-important, arrogant, that's how the waiter is described. At other tables people asked loudly across the tables whether they could have something else. Unfortunately not with us!!!

Only very few parking spaces on site, otherwise a few hundred meters are subject to charges. Quite a lot of tractor traffic around the house. Right on the street. Unfortunately, the tables outside were wet and dirty. The food was mostly delicious. Some of the fried potatoes were too al dente. The restaurant is borderline expensive for the portions. Bottled beer over €5 doesn't have to be...

A charming, rustic restaurant right on the “old” harbor of Burg. Good German cuisine. Super relaxed with children and dogs too. The service is super friendly and quick. It's better to call and reserve in advance because it's very popular. Good price/performance ratio.

Beautifully located restaurant with a terrace in the harbor. Nice and attentive service and very tasty fish dishes - especially the lunch menu and the small starter plate with 2 shrimp skewers...highly recommended.

The fish dishes were very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. We were sitting on the terrace and the noise of compressed air from the harbor bothered us. It's probably not always like that.

The food was very tasty, but the subtleties were missing here and there. The tables are way too small, especially when you have to sit at a single table with 3+ people. In general, the outdoor area is very narrow and you feel "squeezed". Salad came simply with balsamic vinegar. Some drinks (Cola) came at room temperature. The service seemed very, very hectic. I felt really sorry, especially on our first visit, for the waiter with the beard and glasses. Even though there were 2-3 other service staff there during the day, you could clearly tell that he did 95% of the work here.

On July 2nd, 2024 I wanted to have a drink with my husband without food. We were turned away by what I thought was an arrogant employee. There would be a lot of food from the kitchen being served to the guests at the moment. Drinks Bar and kitchen are different places in my opinion. The restaurant wasn't even half full at the time we were there (around 5:15 p.m.). Not good service. If we go on holiday to Fehmarn again we will definitely not visit this restaurant. It's a shame, hospitality is different...

Unfortunately, I can only rate how much I enjoy it. Turn away before 5 p.m. if you want something to drink, because there could be guests coming to eat.

There were two of us and we got a spot straight away. Very tasty food, fisherman's pan and harbor plate. The staff very nice. Not as loud and busy as others describe in the reviews...we were very satisfied.

We cannot understand the good reviews. Went here for the first time - on our wedding day - and were very disappointed. The waiter was nice, but the plaice for €32 (quite steep for that) was fried to death, the potatoes were mushy and tasteless, and there wasn't even a side salad. The plate was also far too small to cut up a piece of plaice. The food with the fish fillets was also bad. Every fish fillet tasted the same (also deep fryer). The best was the cucumber salad.

Nicely located right at the harbor. Very friendly staff. Delicious fresh fish dishes. And really fond of children, with lots of games, children's books and colorful crayons.

Important information in advance, gluten-free preparation of the dishes. Another restaurant that is set as a permanent marker on Google Maps. The location is great, quiet and yet there is a lot of bicycle traffic. Eating pretty much a 1mit*. Outstanding service, the lady today (June 18, 2024) did a really great job. Very satisfied, we will definitely come back.

Very popular restaurant, is very busy, so make a reservation. Food (fish platter) was very tasty. Despite the many guests and the associated stress, a waitress (name I can't remember but came from Ukraine) was very friendly and served the guests and me with a lot of charm. So a visit is worth it. The only point that might bother someone (it didn't bother me): Because of the many visitors, it's not exactly quiet in the restaurant.
