Nice little restaurant/bistro with traditional charm in the middle of the small old town of Burg on Fehmarn. Can be found on what is essentially the main street, “Breiten Straße”. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The cozy atmosphere can be felt outside, but I can't judge the inside because we sat outside in the beautiful sunshine, where almost every seat was occupied even at 5 p.m. The service was friendly and quick; Both drinks and food arrived at our table quickly and neatly. The food was fairly priced and tasted good. Definitely more of a bistro character but that's how it was declared and it was definitely delicious. There is also a good selection of fish sandwiches and the food can be taken away. We would come back and try more. :)

The schnitzel was not a schnitzel but a steak and not breaded. The Büsum fish plate was terrible. 2 oversized plaice fillets with shrimp drowning in hollondaise. Too bad

Went there today, ordered island plates (pork medallions, mixed vegetables, Bernaise sauce, fried potatoes, salad garnish). Medallions hard, fried to death, tasteless, so cold that not even the herb butter on them melted. Vegetables were completely overcooked, you could have eaten them without teeth, fried potatoes were ok, salad garnish consisted of an eighth of iceberg lettuce in one piece, two pieces of cucumber, a quarter of tomato and a spoonful of cream on top. All in all subpar, I had it returned, it wasn't charged even though the service wasn't very friendly. Once and never again caboose!

We cannot understand some of the bad reviews. Everything was perfect during our visit. The schnitzels were huge and delicious, the fried potatoes were crispy and the service was top notch and all at a fair price.

Hello everyone who visits the castle! You should stop here if you're hungry for a fish sandwich. When the plates are brought out, I have to admit that I haven't really eaten here yet. Only recommended!

I've never eaten so badly in my life. Really not...the fish didn't taste like anything and was super bad. No taste, the salad tasted terrible at all, despite the yucky sauce. And 22 euros for that. I was very annoyed about such bad food...I had ordered a bottle of water and was sure it was tap water...unfortunately you can't prove it. I would never eat there again

The food is absolutely not recommended. I had the Fehmarn skewer with 2 different sauces that looked as if they had already been eaten, the fish tasted like it had been refrigerated at Iglo and the fried potatoes were dripping with fat. The worst thing was the service, which was very unfriendly and not recommended

Wer gut essen und zufrieden nach Hause gehen möchte, sollte dieses Lokal nicht besuchen. Die Scholle war eine voll Katastrophe weder gewürzt noch gebraten nur durchs Fett gezogen. Über den Salat wurde ein Joghurt geleert. Mehr war’s nicht. Ich könnte noch weiterschreiben, aber das reicht. Zu dritt haben wir 80 € bezahlt, 80 € zu viel!

Visited a fish restaurant for my wife's sake. From the outside it looks very nice and inviting. Sure, the menu with “non-fish offerings” is small, which is completely understandable. But what I got as “garlic schnitzel” was the last thing! A thin, burnt, breaded shoe sole that was then sprinkled with an excessive amount of garlic powder. The fried potatoes were drowning in fat and were anything but crispy. With all understanding, you can always get a schnitzel fried and using garlic fresh or as oil is not difficult either. I would never recommend this restaurant. The food also went back. I found almost €80 for four people to be more than excessive for the meal.

The staff tried to be friendly, but were visibly unmotivated. The food was really terrible! So really terrible! I had the “recommendation” plaice with North Sea crabs and hollandaise sauce and fried potatoes. I have never eaten this dish worse (and I don't mean that in a bad way). I'm really sorry, but I can't say it any other way...

Der Service "lauert" im Türrahmen und bringt schnell Karten und Getränke... bis hierhin noch gut. Dann gab es, weil nur kleiner Hunger, einen Garnelenspieß. Dieser scheint nur die Fritteuse zu kennen, keine Röstaromen und somit labsch. Dazu gab es wunderbares Brot mit Knoblauch(Creme). Das Beste war der Wodka danach in der Unterkunft.

First the food, we had plaice in an egg coating with a dollop of tartar sauce and fried potatoes. The fish and potatoes were dripping with fat and all in all totally tasteless. Canteen quality for €19.90. But the worst thing is the service. The wrong food was brought to the table and taken away again 2 minutes later and served at the neighboring table. We hadn't touched the food yet, but that's not possible. If I had been the second recipient I would not have accepted it. The waiter was totally unfriendly and indifferent towards the guests. You simply feel like you are being abused as a provider of money and have nothing to do with the hospitality industry.

Tuesday 7.30 p.m. No fish soup until 3 p.m., and boiled potatoes are also out. No new guests will be served at 7:45 p.m. Just underground for a vacation spot. We will never enter this bistro again and hope that other guests do the same,

Very unfriendly, first wrong order due to lack of communication and mistakes were not recognized. Food slammed on the table. Impossible . Food very fatty (Holsteiner schnitzel). On the so-called Jägerschnitzel there were 4 half mushrooms with a hollandaise sauce, soaked in fat... hunger drove it in and never again

One star is actually too many! Despite my warning that I had been waiting for a while, the extremely unfriendly waitress with the thick painted eyebrows and the Eastern European accent calmly continued to serve the neighboring table and added condescendingly that she wasn't running away. When she came to my table with a dark expression on her face and I told her it couldn't be done like that, she mumbled something and left me sitting. I've never experienced anything like this! An absolute disgrace.

Wir waren heute in der Kombüse essen und es war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Das Essen war frisch und lecker, die Portionen waren groß und der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Just bad!!!!!! We haven't eaten as badly as we did in this restaurant in a long time. The fish was dry and fried in old fat. The fried potatoes were limp and tasted like rancid fat. When we were asked if we liked it and we said no, the cellar didn't react at all and disappeared and brought us the bill without a word. We waited in vain for an apology. Price-performance was not at all good in this restaurant. I would like to positively mention the waitress who served us at the beginning, she was very accommodating and super nice.

Unfortunately I couldn't order a fish sandwich for my child because it's only available to go... "Only Alla card is available at the table" so we got up and went to eat somewhere else. Service unfriendly and I didn't feel welcome as a family with my 4 children.

Salmon was fried to death and then heated in the oven, fried potatoes were oily and tasteless, tartar sauce was a ready-made sauce from a tetra pack. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The waiter became unfriendly when criticized.

First of all: the fish (redfish and salmon) was good to very good. The fried potatoes are coarse pieces of potato that appear to be briefly tossed through the pan and probably only take on color from a ready-made seasoning. Fried potatoes are different! The salad plate mainly consists of a lot of cheap iceberg lettuce, roughly chopped with stalks, yellow and green (!) peppers on the edge, cucumber slices, 3 bland tomato quarters and 4 lemon quarters. What appears to be a ready-made dressing on top. As I said, the fish is good, but the price is not justified. Service okay.

It's a shame, but when I see that the crabs and side dish are placed on the plate with the raw hand so that I can then wipe my fingers on my jeans :(, The plaice fillet with fried potatoes was floating in oil:(, fried potatoes were soft, and that for 20€. Luckily we don't have to eat there anymore.

If I had read all the negative reviews on TripAdvisor prior to choosing a restaurant for lunch then I would never have chosen this restaurant. Fortunately, we made a spontaneous choice, based on our local knowledge. On entering, we were asked which languages we spoke (English and Danish) and were promptly handed a collection of menus in English. Danish and Swedish. Our chosen dishes arrived promptly; were much appreciated, though the size of the portions was somewhat large. Give this restaurant a try; you will not be disappointed. It serves both in-house and takeway customers: both groups are served promptly.

The service was very nice, but unfortunately the food wasn't that great. I had the Fehmarn skewer, my husband the fish platter. Tasteless is an exaggeration. Too bad for the fish, a grab in the toilet. Would have I looked at this before and it shows how the place is run. A pity

Einfaches Ambiente im Freien, nette Bedienung, super frischer Dorsch, große Portion! Wir waren sehr sehr zufrieden!

Samstags um 12 wurden wir vom Service sehr robust in Empfang genommen: wir öffnen gleich…. Die Schollenfilets waren sehr fettig und nicht gewürzt, ebenso die mitgelieferten Bratkartoffeln, die viel Fett aber keine vernünftige Hitze gesehen haben. Bier wurde prompt und auch aufmerksam nachgeliefert. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis unterirdisch. Das Niveau reicht nicht einmal für einen Schnellimbiss. In den Toiletten roch es unangenehm und Handtücher gabs auch nicht. Fazit: Nicht zu empfehlen!

Hello Today we were in Burg on Fehmarn When we got hungry for a fish sandwich we looked at the restaurant Galley a sign fish sandwiches out of house We thought ok, get some in the store and when we asked for a drink we were told that it had to be ordered at the table, we thought ok and sat down at one of the tables outside and wanted to order drinks. The problem was that the female waiter consistently ignored us When I asked her if we could order our drinks, she told us that she wouldn't serve us because we weren't Ala card guests and had only bought a fish sandwich outside the house. When I asked her if she had guests who only had something to drink didn't want to be served, she said that would be right Well, I've never heard of anything like that When I told her that and also told her that I didn't rate the place well, she grinned at me and said that she didn't care at all and that I shouldn't forget to clean up my mess (the cardboard and the napkins from the bread roll) So sorry the store is the last one

We were there 2 years ago and were really happy! Were there on April 19th, as others wrote, it smelled strongly of fat, the food was on the bottom shelf. 4. Dishes, everything was swimming in fat, my fish plate with three types of fish, all hot in the deep fryer, fried potatoes, also covered in fat. All in all NEVER AGAIN 🤢

Here's the impression: The menu outside the "restaurant" looked relatively good... but that was it. The staff was quite unfriendly and listless, and the food wasn't as expected either. Too greasy, not seasoned enough, the food was swimming in fat, and I wanted to order something that was on the board outside wasn't there... The restaurant only smelled of fried fat and the toilets... Normally I really go along with everything satisfied and I'm not a picky person but that's where it ends for me.

The food was completely OK. but nothing special when it comes to fish dishes. The drinks were, as is generally the case on Fehmarn, very expensive.

I give one star because you can't give none. I don't even know where else one could give constructive criticism here. Service, friendliness underground. A matjes roll is really not art, but €4.50 for a sticky roll with half a herring and two onion rings is a cheek (remoulade and a lettuce leaf are not available, hello and goodbye are also not available, smiles and please and thank you again are not available - would have been (everything must be ordered and paid for separately). If you just rely on having your store in the best location, that won't save you from bankruptcy at some point!

No longer recommended at all. For €17.50 I got fish with 2 tablespoons of mushroom sauce, although it was canned champions. 3 potato rosti, a small piece of lemon and half a tomato. No salad or anything like that. We were there 2 years ago and loved it back then. Today was an absolute disappointment. Price completely exorbitant!

I can no longer recommend this restaurant at all, 1. the chef seems to like ready-made sauces 2. The fried potatoes were not edible at all. You don't have to be surprised if this restaurant soon no longer exists, because word of the poor quality has apparently already gotten around. Because last year we barely managed to get a table and this year the restaurant was only half full.

After entering the front door you are not in a galley but in two shops. In one, on the left side, you can buy fish sandwiches and then leave the shop again. (through the entrance) Buying a fish sandwich does not entitle you to sit down inside. On the right there is seating and a second restaurant. (Not visually separated or a clue) Only the waiter, who can't be surpassed in terms of arrogance (he thinks he works at the Ritz). There is no morning or good day. You are greeted with “fish sandwiches?” Then don't sit down! Once and never again! Even my daughter (5 years old) asked why the man was so mean. That says it all. Oh yes, the food. Fish and chips fresh from the bag into the deep fryer. The fish sandwiches are nicer, fresher and probably tastier to make at home.

I was there in March. When you enter the store with a cheerful "Moin," there is no response from the dark-haired lady with the grumpy expression on her face. The fried fish roll also only tasted mediocre. I wouldn't go there again.

I don't like to remember my plate of herring in the galley. The fish tasted fermented, the so-called boiled potatoes were more than aldente. I expected more from a fish restaurant in Burg a.F. Another annoying thing was a 35-minute wait before the order was taken, although the waitress looked at me every now and then but showed little willingness to take the order. The Alster water, which you could use to wash down the half-eaten portion, was a positive thing. Conclusion: Not a second time. But I always enjoy the castle.

We once had matjes with boiled potatoes and herring housewife stew with fried potatoes. The boiled potatoes were extremely al dente, the herring pot was carelessly "slapped" onto the plate from a large plastic bucket and tasted sour, the fried potatoes were very greasy. The side salad consisted of 2 strips of pepper, 1/4 tomato and a leaf of lettuce - without dressing. The food is not recommended! The toilet you use also needs a basic cleaning.

Also ihr lieben, wir kommen seid Jahren in die Kombüse auf Fehmarn wenn wir in Heiligenhafen Urlaub machen! Letztes mal fanden wir es schon nicht mehr so wie es war aber da haben wir gesagt......okay vielleicht auch Corona geschuldet.!Aber gestern waren wir da und das muss ich mal los werden....so lieblos der Teller hergerichtet 1/4 Tomate 2 kleine Rotbarschfilet ......huch musste ich unter der sosse suchen!Nee geht gar nicht,sehr schade das es sich so entwickelt hat.Wor können es leider nicht mehr weiterempfehlen. Wir saßen im Oktober auf der Außenterrasse. Preis/Leistung der Getränke in Ordnung. Wir haben uns dann zwei Backfisch-Brötchen geholt, diese waren leider total fettig und auch geschmacklich nichts besonders. Der Kellner wirkte auch nicht wirklich motiviert. Wir werden zukünftig nicht wieder herkommen.

Es fehlt einfach an Geschmack. Essen war lieblos angerichtet und nicht gewürzt. Auch dass hinter der Theke gegessen wird, finde ich seltsam.

Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis zum Fischbrötchen passt überhaupt nicht. Frechheit knapp 4 Euro für 1 Scheibe Fisch das Brötchen war ganz lecker.

Ja es ist der 25.Oktober, aber auch im Oktober möchten Menschen nochmal ein Fischbrötchen essen. Gestern waren wir um kurz vor 18 Uhr am/im Laden und wurden von der Bedienung raus komplimentiert, da das Geschäft um 18 Uhr schließt. Okay, jede*r möchte pünktlich Feierabend haben. Heute sind wir dann mal um 17:30 Uhr da, damit wir noch ein Fischbrötchen bekommen. Jepp, hat geklappt. Aber leider gab es für uns nichts mehr zu trinken, da der Laden ja schließt. Hä, wir haben jetzt 17:40 Uhr. Wir haben uns dann halt in die Gaststätte nebenan gesetzt und was soll ich euch sagen, es hätten noch mindestens 20 Fischbrötchen an Menschen verkauft werden können, die vor 18 Uhr, aber leider vor einem verschlossenen Geschäft standen und wieder gegangen sind. 18 Uhr ist 18 Uhr und nicht schon 20 Minuten eher. Geschäftstüchtig und vor allem kundenfreundlich ist anders! Das Fischrötchen war im Übrigen sehr lecker, aber für uns das erste und letzte Mal! Schade auch

Leider sind wir in diese Touristen Falle getappt. Hatten zwei Fischgerichte. Einmal Filet aus der Pfanne mit Bratkartoffeln - beides zu fettig und einmal grüne Heringe, bei denen mir der zweite leider beinahe für den restlichen Urlaub den Appetit verdorben hätte. Kritik hat die freundlich bemühte Kellnerin regungslos zur Kenntnis genommen. Achso, zu teuer war es für diese Qualität natürlich auch. Mittagstisch gibt es nicht.

Aufgrund der Witterung saßen wir im Restaurant. Die Bedienung war leider nicht so freundlich, das Essen war in.O. Während des Essens wurden das Restaurant und die Küche aufgeräumt und gereinigt, das ganze Ambiente war dementsprechend. Direkt nachdem wir bezahlt hatten, sagte uns der Ober, dass das Restaurant nun schließt. Mein Getränk konnte ich freundlicher Weise noch austrinken. Leider keine Weiterempfehlung!

Liebe Leute ich fasse mich kurz: einfach super lecker Ales frisch und die Portionen sehr reichlich 👍

Wir haben soeben das beste Krabben und Seelachsbrötchen aller Zeiten gegessen. Dazu sind wir auch noch super sympathisch bedient worden. Klasse.

Leider haben wir uns zu sehr gefreut, bei tollem Wetter unterm Sonnendach noch einen guten Platz zu finden. Die Service- Kraft war schnell da - und das Essen kam auch schnell. Zu schnell. Der Brathering mundete meinem Mann. Doch die Bratkartoffeln hatten die Pfanne kaum gespürt. Das war auch auf meinem Teller so. Der Matjes dazu war gut, aber das nützt nicht viel, wenn die "Sahnesoße" nur billige Remoulade aus dem Handel ist. Schade, schade. Nicht nochmal. Auch die Toiletten und der Zugang dort hinunter minderten noch den Appetit.

Die besten Bratkartoffeln aller Zeiten, und lecker Fisch. Zuvorkommend

Haben hier lecker Fisch gegessen und kommen auch gern wieder. Waren in diesen Urlaub 2x da.

Seit Jahren verzehren wir dort ab und an ein Fischbrötchen und trinken ein Glas Wein dazu. Bislang war das kein Problem, heute wurden wir aufgefordert den Sitzplatz zu verlassen wenn wir nichts von der Karte bestellen. 20.- € Umsatz - obwohl die Mittagszeit schon vorüber war, reichte einem älteren eher unfreundlichem Kellner offensichtlich nicht.

Essen war sehr gut, Portionen genau richtig und nettes Personal.

Zum Essen kann ich mich nicht äußern, haben es uns kurzfristig überlegt woanders zu essen, da sich direkt hinter uns ein Herr über den wässrigen Bratfisch beschwert hat. Bedienung wirkte sehr genervt und Freundlichkeit kenn ich auch anders.

Preis und Leistung klaffen leider weit auseinander. Beim Fischteller war der Lachs geschmacklich zu erkennen, die anderen Sorten schmeckten quasi gleich. Die Bratkartoffeln haben die Pfanne wahrscheinlich nur sehr kurz gesehen und waren sehr fettig. Die Kinderportion Nudeln war so klein, dass wahrscheinlich ein Sechsjähriger kaum satt wird. Auf der Terrasse sitzt man relativ nett, drinnen ist eine ungemütliche Imbissatmosphäre. Alles in allem keine Weiterempfehlung!

Nichts zu beanstanden. Sehr leckeren Fisch gehabt. Und was mir persönlich auch immer ganz wichtig ist... Die Bratkartoffeln waren absolut perfekt .

Waren heute in der Kombüse, die Servicekräfte wirkten genervt,kein Lächeln oder persönliches Wort. Das Seelachsfilet mit Tomaten und Spinat war lecker,die Bratkartoffeln leider nicht,nicht kross, eher kurz aufgebratene Pellkartoffeln,wenig Speck. auf Nachfrage der Servicekraft sagte ich,dass Die Bratkartoffeln nicht lecker waren,darauf sagte sie gleich: zu latschig,das Problem scheint bekannt zu sein.

Der Service und Mitarbeiter war sehr Freundlich, zuvorkommend,aufmerksam.... Da muss man einfach hin wenn man auf Fehmarn ist. Es lohnt sich. Essen war ausreichend/mega Portion und man wird satt. Mussten uns den Rest einpacken lassen ohne Probleme ,bekommt dafür auch Plaste behälter. Wir haben drausen beim Herrlichen Sonnschein gegessen,aber man kann auch drinnen essen bei Schön Ambiente mit Kerzenlicht. War ein Traum,wie meinte ich das essen war po...rno🤪🙈 Preis Leistung stimmt auch ,Essen mit trinken unter 50 Euro,da gibt man auch gern mal 5 €Trinkgeld. Mein erstes bestellte Gericht konnte wegen Mangel an Nudeln nicht erfüllt werden. Na schön kann und darf ja mal vorkommen. Mein Ersatzgericht war dann leider mit arg viel Hollandaisesoße beladen. Nun gut, der Fisch war dann trotzdem sehr lecker. Alles in allem, kann man mal machen. Aber man muss es nicht nochmal...

En riktig turistfälla som vi gick i. Mest fisk på menyn, men även schnitzel i olika variationer. Vi satt ute vid huvudgatan, vilket var trevligt. Maten var knappt ok. Går man lite längre bort från huvudgatan så finns fler, och säkert bättre, ställen. Inte prisvärt.

Wir waren begeistert, alles bestens. Und ganz nettes Personal. Bitte ordentlich Trinkgeld geben,das haben sie sich sowas von verdient

Extrem keckerer Fisch, Matjes Brötchen kann ich nur empfehlen, hab gleich 2 gegessen. Service ist locker und lustig, kein Touristengesabbel, sehr gern wieder. Auf jeden Fall ieder

Wir haben draußen auf der Außenterrasse gegessen. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, der Fisch fangfrisch und lecker. Die Beilage (Bratkartoffeln) war knusprig und gut gewürzt. Am Verkaufsfenster konnte man Fischbrötchen zum Mitnehmen bekommen, dort herrschte auch immer viel Andrang. Wir können es sehr empfehlen.

Recht enttäuschend. Unmotiviertes, teils unfreundliches Personal. Wir haben bestimmt 15min gewartet, bis überhaupt mal jemand an unseren Tisch kam. Essen war ok, mehr aber auch nicht. Sehr fettig alles, egal ob Fisch, Bratkartoffeln oder Schnitzel. Die Soßen von der Konsistenz her puddingartig und fad. Preise normal.

Nicht mehr so gut wie vor ein paar Jahren. Total überteuert. Und die Fischbrötchen schmecken mir nicht mehr so lecker. Da gibt es bessere auf Fehmarn. Da geht es nur ums Geld machen. Wir waren mit Familie da und es war sehr teuer bei schlechter Qualität.
