This place is worth a visit, a bit off the beaten track. We sat outside and enjoyed the peace and quiet, despite the busy crowd. The staff is attentive, the menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and we were treated well. If you like potatoes, this is the place for you 💯🙋🏼‍♂️

We couldn't see any ready-made or packaged products. For us: The food was great. No "I stuff myself to the brim" portions, just a normal, filling meal. I was able to vary my dish, sauerfleisch with potato dumplings. Starters were jacket potatoes and garlic dip (I think homemade) and black bread with potato cheese 👍. The potato pizza and casserole were also excellent. The service was super friendly; my wife was initially given a Pilsner instead of Alster. A glass of Sprite was immediately brought, and they apologized. We were able to joke around a bit with the other lady; everyone was very pleasant. I've been vacationing on Fehmarn for 33 years, but unfortunately, this is only the first time I've been to the Kartoffelhaus. Definitely not the last.

For a potato house, a lot of ready-made food, such as potato pancakes. Relatively small portions also taste like ready-made food.

The food is always good, and we enjoy going here every year. The plaice was a bit tasteless, but I could have asked for lemon or salt. Our kids love it there!

Highly recommended! A bit off the beaten track, the outdoor area in the backyard is very quiet, the food is absolutely fabulous and the portions are just right. The restrooms are very clean, and the staff are very friendly. We'd love to come back on our next vacation.

This is my personal opinion!!! The times we've eaten here, there's absolutely nothing to complain about! The ambiance is a matter of taste, that's for sure! But that's only secondary to me. The food comes first; it has to be beautifully presented and taste delicious. That's definitely the case here! The waiters are always friendly and prompt in their actions and reactions! The atmosphere is always stress-free and relaxed, which is how it should be. So, for me, it's a clear decision...I'm always happy to come back!

Anyone who likes potatoes will love this restaurant. The food is truly delicious! We had plaice with fried potatoes and fried potatoes with fried eggs. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. You immediately feel at home and welcome. The value for money is excellent! We'd love to come back on our next vacation to Fehmarn.

Very nice little restaurant. I've been there several times and I have to say the potato dishes are very good. It still tastes like potatoes. Not oiled or over-seasoned to hide cheap and bad potatoes. Meat and fish also very good and really tasty. No long-stale prepared mass-produced goods. The service was also absolutely nice and accommodating. My wife and I were very impressed and felt very comfortable. Will definitely be coming back more often. We can only recommend the potato house.

Delicious food and friendly service

We're almost half-Fehmarn residents, but we've only just discovered this wonderful and cozy house. A very pleasant phone call, the reservation worked immediately...upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Heike...we chose our food, a short wait, and then the food arrived...everything was delicious and the portions were generous... We'd love to come back!

We visited the restaurant based on the good reviews and largely ignored the older, somewhat poorer ones. In reality, the food was very dry and some of it was probably pre-packaged. The value for money isn't right here. The service is okay.

We spontaneously went to eat here. The first contact was made over the phone and she was very friendly. The friendliness continued in the restaurant. The food was great and definitely enough and filling. The service was great, openly friendly, open to a chat. Here you love what you do, we would love to come back.

We ended up here “spontaneously” because our original plan had a rest day. We were very satisfied. It was delicious and cozy. Our two children also felt comfortable.

So the food was a disaster, I had the pork medallions in gorgonzola sauce with brokoli and fried potatoes. The meat was fried to death, completely dry and tough, my brokoli was also completely hard and the fried potato was out of the bag, and all for 24 euros. So it's a total flop and definitely don't go there

The fried potatoes are world class. The potato slices were also very well done.

There is a small house right behind Stolz. Really more romantic. The food is a hit. They were grandma's times and very tasty. Great service, very nice, polite and attentive.

I just don't think prepared meal restaurants are up to date anymore. I had a potato casserole with curry, chicken and "cocktail fruits", the latter are exactly what you imagine, the candied fruits from a can, the curry sauce was also from a jar or bucket and was over-seasoned in a typical Convience way. The food was okay, but nothing more. An okay ready meal as you know it. The waitress wasn't really interested in you. The prices are also... ok, in a different location it would probably be too expensive.

Grill plate for children is great, fries are amazing, everything else is TOP!

Our food consisted exclusively of ready-made products: Fried potatoes - Tk Fried dumplings - ready mix Salad - salad mix from retail outlets With a name like that, I would expect the majority of the dishes to be completely homemade, perhaps even using different types of potatoes. Unfortunately our expectations were disappointed.

Portions seem quite small, but are really filling. The potato pizza is more difficult, very tasty, but not for those who are very hungry. All in all recommended! Prices absolutely ok.

I was looking forward to fresh potato pancakes all day. Was then extremely disappointed because there were frozen buffers. An absurdity for a potato house.

We received a very friendly welcome (without a reservation) and reliably kept the promise that something would be available in about 20 minutes. Matjes with baked potatoes, matjes with fried potatoes and the daily special "fried cod fillet with fried potatoes and salad" are recommended without exception. My fried potatoes were the best I've had in a long time!

We went to the potato house on Friday after the boat trip without a reservation. The four of us only managed to get a place (the tables are very high, it's hard for my children to eat, there are high chairs for the very little ones). Sometimes there were things and at the end a lollipop. The potato pizza is definitely recommended, very tasty, the other dishes are normal. The Fischlies for the children are ready-made products and rather a small portion. If we're on Fehmarn again, we'll be happy to come back. A good time

Hello, unfortunately it was a disappointment for us. Potato House - you'd think you'd get bombastic potatoes in all varieties. Unfortunately our fried potatoes were out of the bag. The salad is a ready-made mix from a discount store with a watery sauce. And everything unseasoned. A unique visit for us.

Wir waren am ersten Abend unseres Uraubs auf Fehmarn spontan im Kartoffelhaus. Selbst mit zwei großen Hunden war das kein Problem. Die Bedienung war superfreundlich. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und wir waren echt begeistert.

We go on vacation to Fehmarn several times a year and there is never any way around the kartoffenhaus! Delicious food! Friendly service! Simply always excellent!

After my wife walked around the restaurant for a while, we took the time to indulge our passion for potatoes. We weren't disappointed! Greeted lovingly by the friendly service, the selection was extensive and there was something for everyone. The potato pizza was e.g Something completely different, but tastes great. I would happily recommend it, even if the location is a little hidden.

We. Middle-aged couple visited this restaurant today. My wife chose the cartollella sagne dish and I chose fried potatoes with herring. Both dishes were excellent. I have never eaten such delicious and fresh herring before. The fried potatoes were outstanding. The potato lasagna was just great and not very spicy either. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was friendly and pleasant. The whole thing at reasonable prices. We will definitely come back again.

Unfortunately we didn't get to eat because we left before ordering. The food looked excellent on the plates that came from the kitchen, but unfortunately the service was so listless and “stuffy” that we preferred to spend our money elsewhere. A pity.

The quark was weak and the potatoes tasted stale. The pizza and the sour meat were good and the sour meat in particular was plentiful

Nothing special, but very expensive. No spices whatsoever and the quality leaves a lot to be desired. The dishes don't do justice to the price.

Hallo zusammen, wenn man mit der Familie oder Freunden auf der Insel Fehmarn lecker essen gehen möchte, dann empfehle ich das Restaurant Kartoffelhaus. Das Ambiente in dem Lokal ist sehr gemütlich und dazu befindet sich die Innenausstattung in einer perfekten Harmonie. Wir waren dort Anfang Oktober und waren froh ein Tisch bekommen zu haben. Nachdem wir nicht allzu lange auf das Essen warten mussten, waren wir mehr als zufrieden mit der Frische, dem geschmacklichen und der Aufbereitung. Zudem konnte man sich sehr gut mit der Besitzerin des Restaurants unterhalten. Ein toller Abend, bei dem es nichts zu bemängeln gibt. Dafür gibt es 5 Sterne.

Mal was anderes und war auch ganz lecker.

Nettes Restaurant mit großer Auswahl an... Überraschung... Kartoffelgerichten. Freundliche Bedienung, netter kleiner Innenhof nach hinten.

Das Essen war heiß und sehr lecker. Auch der Nachtisch war Bombe . Schokokartoffel Taler .

Ganz klasse wenn man Kartoffeln liebt ist man hier sehr gut aufgehoben!

Alles aus oder mit Kartoffeln und damit mal was anderes. Waren erst unsicher ob Ofen Kartoffel bzw. Kartoffel Brokkoli Auflauf reisen um satt zu werden. Am Ende war es aber prima und wir haben noch was mitgenommen. Für die Pizza aus Kartoffelbrei als Teig werden wir nochmal wiederkommen.

Aufgrund der Rezensionen sind wir hier eingekehrt. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Die Portionen waren recht klein. Die Bratkartoffeln und Spiegeleier ungewürzt. Die Bratkartoffeln waren dazu noch rwcht labbrig; knusprig ist anders. Die Spiegeleier für meine Frau waren an einigen Stellen sehr dunkel. Für uns beim nächsten Besuch vor Ort nicht nochmal.

Das Restaurant liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse im Stadtkern. Der Service war sehr gut und das Essen sehr lecker. Die Beilagen Portionen eignen sich gut auch als Kinderteller. Es gab außerdem eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten. Auch für die ganz kleinen gab es einen Korb mit Spielzeug. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und können das Kartoffelhaus wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Ein sehr schnuckliges kleines Restaurant bei dem sich alles um die Kartoffel dreht. Ich glaube es gibt kein Gericht, wie der Name des Restaurants schon besagt, in dem sie nicht vorkommt. Das Ambiente ist sehr verspielt und uhrig. Die Bedienung ist sehr kinderfreundlich und nett. Vierbeiner sind auch herzlich willkommen. Gerne wieder und das am besten mir Reservierung weil es auch oft mal voll ist. Lg

Hat uns überhaupt nicht gefallen. Die Bedienung war nicht freundlich. Erst als wir bezahlt haben. Schon beim Eintreten war ihr die Motivation anzusehen. Wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen. Beim Bestellen hatte man den Eindruck, man würde nerven. Schreibe so etwas nicht gerne, aber es war leider so. Das Essen hat nicht so gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen garantiert nicht wieder!
