Das Essen und die Weine waren sehr gut! Allerdings entsteht durch die Selbstbedienung ein Kantinencharakter, der nicht unseren Erwartungen entsprochen hat, schade!

Wir waren rundum begeistert! Sehr herzliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, bei der man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – ein großes Lob an den Koch, jedes Gericht war frisch, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und einfach unglaublich lecker. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Service, Qualität und Atmosphäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Liebe Grüße Adventurekite 🌊🪁

Selbstbedienung. Essen war reichhaltig und lecker...Pommes schön kross und gut gewürzt. Draußen nettes Ambiente auch überdachte Sitzmöglichkeiten mit Blick auf den kl. Hafen.

Super leckeres Essen. Wir hatten eine Bowl und das Schnitzel -> beides zu empfehlen! Toller Sitzplatz direkt am Hafen.

Man sitzt hier insbesondere draußen sehr schön. Am Selbstbedienungskonzept merkt man mal wieder die Personalnot in der Gastro. Funktionieren tut es hier aber gut und das Essen ist wirklich top!

Doll war es nicht. Burger war schlecht. Pommes gut. Beilagen Salat auch gut. Aber ansonsten würde es zukünftig meiden. Selbst Bedienung aber Preise gehobener Küche. Preis Leistung passt hier einfach nicht.

Ich war am Wochenende zum 15.05.2026 auf Fehmarn. Am Abend waren wir bei Samoa essen. Das Ambiente war wirklich sehr schick und einladend 🤩 Zum Essen gab es Schnitzel mit Pommes, und ehrlich gesagt dachte ich, bei diesem Gericht kann man nicht viel falsch machen 😅 Pustekuchen… Das Schnitzel war leider ziemlich dünn, vermutlich ein TK-Schnitzel 😵‍💫 Außerdem war es überhaupt nicht gewürzt, nicht mal Salz war dran. Auch die Pommes hätten etwas Salz gut vertragen können. Für den Preis war das Gericht meiner Meinung nach leider nicht gerechtfertigt. Das Eis dagegen war richtig lecker 😋 Ich glaube sogar, dass es aus eigener Produktion war 🤔 Eine Kugel hat 2 € gekostet.

Wir hatten den Burger und das Schnitzel. Essen war okay, aber nicht überragend. Dafür ist es recht schön gelegen und gemütlich. Direkt am Hafen.

Wow, wow, wow … Wir waren als Paar dort und würden am liebsten noch mehr Sterne vergeben. Das Essen war top, der Service trotz Selbstbedienung super aufmerksam. Die nette Kellnerin kam an unseren Tisch, fragte regelmäßig nach unserem Wohlbefinden und war äußerst zuvorkommend. Die Vorspeise wurde sehr schnell serviert und war frisch zubereitet. Nach der Vorspeise folgte etwas zeitversetzt der Hauptgang – perfekt abgestimmt, da man die Portion sonst kaum schafft. Das Ambiente war ebenfalls sehr einladend. Vor allem der Außenbereich lädt an warmen Sommerabenden zum langen Verweilen ein. Besonders positiv fällt außerdem auf, dass Hunde – egal ob groß oder klein – mit in das Lokal dürfen. Sollten wir noch einmal auf der Insel sein, kommen wir definitiv wieder! 🥰

Direkt am Mini Hafen gelegen. Modern mit Selbstbedienung. Essen gute Portionen die Scholle und die Chicken Bowl sehr lecker. Das Eis auch. Die Waffeln sahen gut aus. Toiletten vorhanden.

Selten so ein schlechtes „Restaurant“ besucht. Preis -Leistungsverhältnis nicht vorhanden. Vorspeise kam zum Hauptgang bzw. konnte zum Hauptgang abgeholt werden. Service nicht vorhanden. Schade um das Geld!

Enttäuschend. Am 20.07.2025 war ich mich meiner Fam. im SAMOA Restaurant. 1. Kein Hinweis, dass es sich beim SAMOA um ein „Selbstbedienungsrestaurant“ handelt. -Ich habe die Website erneut angeschaut (Stand 22.07.2025) und konnte keinen Hinweis auf „Selbstbedienung“ finden. Diesen hätte ich mir gewünscht. -Es gab keinen Hinweis am Eingang mit einer Erklärung, z.B.: „(…) so funktioniert das hier bei uns (…)“ -Nach 20 Minuten in der Bestell-Warteschlange war das auf der Website angekündigte „romantische Dinner“ dahin… -preislich hat sich die notwendige „Eigenleistung“ nicht widergespiegelt Fazit: jede/jeder hat eine andere Meinung zum Thema „Selbstbedienung“. Bitte, liebes SAMOA-Team, informieren Sie über Ihr Konzept, vorab (über die Website) und vor Ort (z.B. über einen „Aufsteller“). 2. Unprofessioneller Umgang mit falschem Produkt. -Nachdem der „Pieper“ zur Abholung der Ware an der Herausgabe aufforderte, musste ich dort angekommen feststellen, dass für unseren Sohn, anstatt der bestellten „Riesen-Currywurst“, ein „Samoa Burger“ zur Abholung bereitstand. Nachdem ich dem Essen-Herausgabe-Chef freundlich darauf hingewiesen habe, erfuhr ich frustriertes Unverständnis und kein Interesse, die Situation kurz mit dem Kassen-Chef zu checken und schnell zu einer einvernehmlichen Lösung zu kommen. Fazit: Fehler passieren, kein Problem. Wie man damit umgeht, macht dem Unterschied. Schade.

Absolutely excellent, reasonably priced, and truly delicious. And it's quick, with no long waits.

The outdoor seating is lovely, with a view of the harbor. The food was delicious, and the staff (self-service) was super friendly. You can't ask for more, so 5 stars all around.

The food is delicious 😀...it has a bit of a snack bar feel, as you can order your food and drinks at the counter and then pick them up yourself. The atmosphere on the terrace is very pleasant. The staff is very friendly, and dogs are also welcome 😃. You should reserve a table in advance 😊.

The food was very good, the ambiance was nice, but it needed some updating (the step markings were worn, the back cushion on the bench was hanging loose). There was no sign anywhere indicating that self-service was only for indoor use. The waiter repeatedly and haphazardly searched for table reservations and failed to wipe down the completely sticky table as they walked by or when being shown to a seat. The neighboring tables weren't wiped down either. This usually only works with changing tourist flows...

The food there is delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly. The view directly onto the Baltic Sea is, of course, fantastic. As a vegetarian, however, the food options are very limited.

We had the Samoa Burger with fries on the side, and it was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this place!

Very nice, they even served lunch 😀 I wouldn't have expected that in such a pleasantly stylish restaurant. Beautiful view of the marina and pleasantly low noise levels. You have to order your own food and then pick it up when it's busy. The wait was perfectly fine, and both the pan-fried fish and the hamburger were delicious. Definitely recommend it 😃👍🏼 NICE: Ketchup and mayo came with the fries, so I didn't pay extra for them.

I take my imaginary hat off to you. It was a real treat from start to finish. We were there on a Monday evening. The welcome was warm and exactly how you feel as a guest. They explained the concept to us immediately, and the "self-service" aspect wasn't a problem at all. We had two starters and two main courses, everything was sensationally delicious and served really quickly. The truffle mashed potatoes on the side were world-class, and from the tuna steak to the filet, everything was truly delicious and on point. The location right on the harbor is also top-notch. Regardless of the location, the owner has demonstrated a perfect hand in selecting his team. The chefs are sensational, and so is the rest of the team. Thank you for this truly wonderful evening. This definitely won't be the last time we'll be here. Chapeau

After a few visits in 2025, I can report: it's still absolutely fantastic! The food has even improved a little bit; whether it's cod, steak, or vegetarian – everything is delicious. The fantastic team contributes to a perfect evening, thank you very much! I'm already looking forward to summer 2026.

No vegan option. The vegetarian pasta had Parmesan cheese on it and was therefore mislabeled. Fish and meat eaters were satisfied.

Wir haben nach dem Mühlenmuseum das Samoa ausgewählt, die Mittagskarte war Gut für jeden war etwas dabei. Das Personal ist sehr nett und professionell. Die Wartezeit war kurz und Die Speisen lecker. Was erwarten einige Gäste beim Preis, wenn eine Rostbratwurst am Imbiss fast 6 Euro kostet???

We wanted to enjoy a leisurely meal of fresh fish and reserved a table at Samoa. We didn't realize it was a self-service restaurant. We stood in the entrance area for five minutes and waited, but no one came. We then asked the stressed-out staff for directions and were assigned a table. It was quite cramped among the other guests. Almost every fish dish came with mustard sauce; it was loud and confusing. The drinks weren't appealing either. We left. The prices for self-service were too high.

Ice cream good, waffle okay, cappuccino really not good, service nonexistent.

The price/performance ratio was right, the food was excellent. No complaints, and the team had a wonderful season. We'd love to come back.

Großes Restaurant mit sonnigen und schattigen Plätzen im Freien. Nach Bestellung am Tresen bekommt man ein Gerät, das rappelt, wenn das Essen geholt werden kann. Da wir um 12 Uhr noch ziemlich allein waren, hat man es uns gebracht. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, das Essen ausgezeichnet. Die Lachs-Bowl war sehr groß, sehr frisch u.a. mit Avocado, Sprossen, relativ viel frischem Lachs und in der Mitte Reis. Brot gab es auf Nachfrage kostenlos dazu. Das Schollenfilet mit Speck und Zwiebeln und Rosmarindrillingen war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Morgen gehen wir wieder hin!

We tried it again after two years and were disappointed again. We waited an hour for our food. It was normal business, not overly busy. The hamburger with fries for over €24 was fried to the point of shoe-like rind, the bun was dry and too small, and the cheese had no flavor and wasn't melted. The lobster soup with salmon was very salty. Also unacceptable is that large dogs are allowed in the restaurant. The constant barking and shaking of fleas is just disgusting. The food was and is not worth the money.

The first impression—self-service?—shouldn't be off-putting. The grilled goat cheese is worth the detour, and it's a generous portion. Many dishes are available vegetarian; just ask when ordering. We highly recommend it!

Das Weinglas war nicht sauber, Lippenstift am Glasrand. Bei meinem Essen wurden die Garnelen vergessen. Beim ersten nachfragen wurde mir gesagt, dass die Garnelen unter den Nudeln sind. Am Tisch habe ich festgestellt, dass keine Garnelen auf dem Teller waren. Als ich wieder am Tresen war wurde mir direkt gesagt, dass der Koch die Garnelen vergessen hatte und diese bereits gebraten werden.

There's not much to write here. If you've been to Aalkate, you've been to Samoa. Here you'll find a selection of the same dishes as at Aalkate, with the same excellent quality, plus ice cream. The staff is extremely friendly. The location, right on the harbor, is worth mentioning. Reservations are recommended.

Service? Well, you order at the counter...when someone comes...pay immediately, and get your drinks handed to you. You pick up your food when the buzzer beeps. The finished food is left at the counter, unattended, to keep it warm...great for salad...unfortunately, the fish was overcooked, the sauce was very thick, and the salad tasted of nothing. I also had to take the dishes away, so I couldn't find any service...I'm certainly not lazy and I understand staffing issues, but then I still paid over €70... Once and never again...

Self-service. But that doesn't detract from the food at all. The salmon with mashed potatoes and salad, as well as the schnitzel, were of good quality and delicious. A very nice location with a view over the small marina. We always enjoy coming back.

We ended up in this restaurant "out of necessity" - we simply couldn't get a seat in the restaurant we wanted. At first we were skeptical because the restaurant is self-service. I was actually skeptical. Nevertheless - in fact the dishes were super good, well prepared and quite “modern”. The self-service certainly doesn't convey the desired ambience (although the restaurant is well located in the harbor), which is a bit of a shame - it's more of an "order, eat, put away" atmosphere. Experience has shown that if someone has already ordered a drink at the counter and picked up drinks, they are unlikely to order another drink again by queuing up at the counter again. One would have wished for more. Even though the dishes were of very good quality, I felt that they were a bit too expensive for "self-service". Still a good experience! Thanks

Überraschend angenehmes Restaurant. Sehr, sehr lecker gegessen. Zu vernünftigen Preisen. Von außen sieht es ein wenig wie ein teures Fischrestaurant aus, aber tatsächlich ist für alle Geschmäcker was dabei. Kein Convenience Food, trotz Bestellung am Tresen und Rappelding wenn das Essen fertig ist. Keine Tischbedienung.

Waited 5 minutes in front of the ice cream counter. No glance was acknowledged, no request for patience, simply no notice was taken. I'd rather eat my ice cream somewhere else.

A nice restaurant right on the harbor, you have to order food at the counter and pick it up. The staff was very friendly, 20 minutes waiting time for the food is ok as the food was really delicious. The cod is recommended. Unfortunately the squid rings were a bit too salty. Priced in the upper segment.

Bike tour across Fehmarn with a stop at SAMOA to eat ice cream. Everything is great and the price is right too!!!

Das Restaurant liegt schön an der Marina. Der Aussenbereich ist nett und einladend. Die Karte ist groß genug, dass jeder etwas findet. Wir haben elektronisch reserviert. Es gab sogar eine Erinnerung am Tag vorher. Das Essen selbst ist sehr lecker. Warum also nur 4 Sterne. Das Restaurant ist zur Selbstbedienung. Dafür ist es zu teuer. Wenn ich für eine Familie mit Kindern knapp 150 Euro ausgebe möchte ich weder meine Getränke selbst zum Tisch tragen noch meine Teller selbst abräumen. Wir werden bestimmt nochmal hingehen, aber ich werde mich wieder über die Selbstbedienung ärgern. 10-15% runter vom Preis, dann wäre es vertretbar.

Christian is the best host ever! As a law firm owner, I went windsurfing on Fehmarn with 10 other lawyers and paralegals over the weekend when we ended up in Samoa with Christian. The next day we almost couldn't windsurf anymore, it was so beautiful there. So from us: thumbs up, clear recommendation! Thank you for the lovely evening!

The location right on the harbor is great. But that's almost where it ends. The food is ok, but quite expensive. You have to order and pick up the food yourself. My husband waited in line for half an hour to order. You imagine things differently on vacation. Price-performance ratio isn't right here. Wouldn't eat there again

The food is ok, but self-service is asking a lot for the prices. I also don't want to wait in line for half an hour on vacation (which I had to today) to order my dinner. We won't be coming back.

The atmosphere is great, right on the water with a cozy terrace. But then the praise stops. You get in line and order food yourself. Even though we had reservations, this process took 30 minutes. That doesn't take into account the waiting time for the food. A friendly beeper then asks you to receive the food. So if you want to drink something later, you don't do it because another half hour for a glass of wine isn't a pleasant idea. Ultimately you pay a lot of money (25 euros for a burger) for a fast food restaurant character. Once and never again.

A restaurant right on the Lemkenhafen marina. The location is hard to top. You can sit very well on the terrace, which is protected by umbrellas. You have to get your own food and drinks from the counter and order them there too. Service is almost non-existent. The food is OK and overall a bit more modern. Even in “modern” cuisine, a schnitzel should also have a side salad and not just plain fries.

Ambiance and surroundings really great. Unfortunately very overpriced. But everyone can form their own opinion. For a self-service restaurant it's just too much.

Hello everyone, The three of us (family) had dinner in Samoa today. Like every year, our first and most frequent stop is Samoa. A “fixed” appointment that actually always stands. Today we were disappointed. -Pasta saganaki about 14 euros -Burger about 23 euros -Salad with fish fillets approx. 19 euros The portion of the first dish was more than okay, but the taste was nowhere near the previous year. I think there was spaghetti there, which was very tasty and second to none. The taste of the burger was okay, but the price/performance ratio is no longer right here. I understand everything: energy costs, staff should/must be paid decently etc etc. Take 25 euros as far as I'm concerned, but then make something special out of it and not a run-of-the-mill burger. Now for the salad...peas, grapes, lettuce (a little), 2 slices of bread, dip and two mini fish fillets. I'll just repeat the same opinion as I did with the burger. Staff super friendly and nice. Everything OK. Conclusion: Samoa should be special in terms of taste and ambience. Our impression was that it is only special in terms of price. I would like to mention again, this is not about saving money when eating out or complaining about prices. Everything has to be paid for, I understand. But this evening we were disappointed.

Very tasty food and good ice cream. Unfortunately a bit too expensive in terms of price-performance ratio. Service very nice and friendly. In the summer you could leave the heaters outside.

25 euros for a burger borders on outrageous, especially because it is a self-service restaurant. The cod was missing some salt and the tuna could have been fried even better. Otherwise the food and the ambience are very good. But if you're willing to pay that much when it comes to prices, you also have to deliver on quality. The map was collapsed. By the way, there is also ice cream. You could certainly give more stars, but the bar is very high for me in terms of prices and compared to the Aalkate. But you really can't give less than 3 stars for such a high-quality location. Online reservations only at fixed times, some of which do not even include the opening times.

Nice location right at the harbor. Nice service. Decent food. Order at the counter, with a signal pad informing you when the food is ready. Somewhat hefty prices.

The food is delicious. We had something with goat cheese as a starter. That was really great and the burger was also great. But at these prices without service it's not possible.

It's a slightly better snack. It's not actually a restaurant. Since I have to do everything myself, from ordering to picking up food and clearing the table. For me, that ruins a cozy meal with family or friends. Payment is made directly when ordering. My food wasn't really hot. The prices are completely exaggerated for this quality and the non-existent service. Perhaps the prices are intended to appeal more to the wallets of wealthy sailors.

Sorry, but that's NOT how it works!!! We are local and actually really enjoy going to Samoa or Aalkate. But not anymore! The menu online no longer matches the menu on site in terms of offerings and prices, at least not in Samoa. And honestly... for the money... without service... I'm not willing to spend that much money! In my opinion, it's completely overpriced and not justified when you know that most of the side dishes aren't even homemade ', but comes from the packaging from the wholesaler!!! So unfortunately there are no photos of me today or in the future!

A very nice restaurant at the harbor where you can enjoy the view of the harbor and the Baltic Sea while enjoying the delicious fish dishes and reflect on the day. I would very, very much like to come back

Before our visit, I looked at the reviews and was excited about my own experience. So, the food was very tasty, plentiful and also reasonably priced. For a self-service restaurant, however, it is in the upper range. The reservation portal is very bad. I was only offered an appointment at 5 p.m. and nothing after that. The following day was not offered at all. We had to hurry up to keep time. Arrived on time, the shop was empty except for a few guests. That can't be what you want, because it might stop you from making a planned visit because of the limited selection. Consistency, first choice food, everyone has to decide the rest for themselves.

Reserved online, received confirmation, closed locally, no one can be reached by phone. unprofessional, not to say anti-social.

I reserved a table for five people online in February. Yesterday I received a reminder via email. Today we were in front of the Samoa in Lemkenhafen on Fehmarn at 7:00 p.m. sharp and discovered that it was closed. The restaurant looks like it isn't even prepared for the season yet. The first time something like this happened to me on Fehmarn. Samoa will never see me again.

A great restaurant with a direct view of the marina. The selection of dishes is clear and of high quality. Overall, definitely a recommendation. What you need to know, however, is that there is no service in the true sense, i.e. all food and drinks have to be ordered at the bar, which in most cases is done very quickly. When you order food, you receive a pager that notifies you when the food is prepared. It also usually makes sense to make a reservation 1-2 days in advance if you don't want to be disappointed. Top. We'd love to come back.

Every McDonald's has more service. This is an overpriced system restaurant. The soup was too salty, and any snack makes the fried squid rings crispier. Children run around freely, it is not a comfortable atmosphere. And guests clear away the leftovers from their predecessors. At no time did a service staff walk through the restaurant. Better go to one of the other restaurants around the corner!

Nice restaurant located directly at the harbor. Food very tasty. Good value for money. Relaxed atmosphere. We've been there a few times and have never been disappointed. We will be back.

Dear Samoa team. What should I write about this?! Well, it doesn’t matter, you won’t read it anyway… Yes, I agree with the previous writers, just like in the Aalkate, you have to like ordering food at the counter and picking it up yourself. If you don't like that, you're better off going somewhere else. And no service, no tips, it's that simple. But the reference to ordering yourself is missing. Small display on the table - ready! And as is usual in the catering industry, a small display at the entrance with the menu would be nice. Probably won't be done, as many people probably won't even get in due to the prices... To eat: NO, it wasn't the worst currywurst I've ever eaten, but it was far from justifying the price of €14. Sausage was very dark on top, “homemade” curry sauce was okay but not really great either. Ready-made steakhouse fries. Always mayo separately. It tastes better at my chip shop around the corner for €5! Pasta Sakanaki It was delicious, pasta perfect, sauce nice and creamy, finely grated goat cheese. But what justifies pasta with sauce for THIRTEEN EURO??? Ice It was okay and the price was more reasonable here. Pistachio could use a little more of the namesake nut. staff Really nice and hardworking. We even cleared the dishes, which was nice. Climax Ordered Cola without sugar, got Cola with sugar. NO, not two schnapps, just take it off the bill. Conclusion Ended up there because Kolle’s was already fully booked for a Monday at 5:30 p.m. I'd rather get something to eat at the snack bar on our campsite for 1/3...

Food and location great to enjoy the sunset!

Das Essen ist teuer. Wir saßen zunächst 15min, um vom Nachbarstisch zu erfahren, dass man drinnen selber bestellen muss. Für den Preis, kann man erwarten, bedient zu werden. Auf der Karte steht nichts drauf, dass man selber bestellen muss. Essen (Samoa Burger) ist lecker, aber der Service ist schlecht .

Super Lage. Personal einfach klasse

Es gibt kein Fehmarn Besuch, an dem ich nicht hier einkehre und meine Lieblingsbestellung geniesse. Thunfisch-Sashimi mit Stampf und Salat, dazu ein Glas Schneider Grauburgunder......und der Tag ist perfekt abgerundet.

Mehr als 5 Sterne kann man leider nicht geben ! Hier passt einfach alles. Angefangen vom Ambiente,über Service und Essen. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden...im Gegenteil ! Und der Küchenchef ist mehr als Klasse!!! Danke für diesen tollen Abend !

An mehreren Abenden haben wir hier zu zweit gegessen und waren jedes mal vom Essen und Personal begeistert. Auch der Koch war super nett und wir konnten auch ohne Probleme ein Fischgericht etwas abändern!

Essen nur 4 Sterne, weil ich die Geschmacksrichtungen vom Eis bei 3 von 5 Kugeln nicht erraten konnte. Ansonsten super toll. Das andere Essen, welches ich habe über den Tresen gehen sehen, sah super lecker aus. Die Dame vom Eis super toll. Sauber auch auf dem Klo. Windegeschützte Terrasse, mit Aussicht auf den Hafen. Kaffee fand ich lecker.

Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend, Essen sehr lecker und zügig fertig, sehr schönes Amiente, super schöne Lage! Die recht hohen Preise und die Selbstbedienung passten für uns nicht so ganz zusammen. Doch auch die Selbstbedienung lief für uns unkompliziert. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Wir waren mit Bekannten dort, um ein wenig zu essen und zu trinken. Wir hatten 2 Pommes bestellt und bekamen ein sehr übersichtliche Portion für 4,50€. Als wir später für eines der Kinder eine weitere Pommes bestellen mussten (es waren ja recht kleine Portionen), bekam dieses Kind gefühlt doppelt soviel serviert. Aufgrund des unmittelbaren Vergleichs fühlten wir uns richtig über den Tisch gezogen. Also lieber ein Dorf weiter nach Orth zum Burgerladen am Hafen. Dort stimmen Preis und Leistung! Wir werden hier nie wieder einkehren!
