Friendly staff, good food, and decent service. What more could you want?

The food was sensational; we stumbled upon it almost by chance, but we've always had good experiences with campsite restaurants over the past few years (just a general tip). The portions were more than generous, and everything we ordered was incredibly delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating, checking in every now and then, but unobtrusively, whether everything was OK. That's exactly how gastronomy should be 🫶🏽

We were here in the late afternoon, and even though the sign said it was open all day, we didn't feel welcome. People were constantly cleaning next to us, splashing water on the stones, and to top it all off, several tables were being moved around. There was no sign of a cozy atmosphere, and the rice was cold.

We went there for dinner in the evening and can't say anything negative except that they didn't serve coleslaw. Otherwise, they were very accommodating to a special request. There's certainly room for improvement, but overall, we can recommend the place, and we'll be back!

It was our first time there. It reminded us, "Next please... and please, quick, quick..." the drink and pre-prepared salad arrived after 3 minutes. The food arrived after 10 minutes. The lamb chops, gyros, and minced steak could have been grilled much longer. The fries were rather bland. The rice lacked flavor. The tzatziki was good. When paying with a card, they didn't want to take a tip. You can go there to satisfy your hunger, but don't set your expectations too high. It's not really recommended for a relaxing evening at a Greek restaurant. At least, that was the case for us.

Wir wurden sehr schnell, sehr freundlich bedient. Das Essen ist nicht günstig, aber gut. Merkwürdigerweise kam nach dem Essen niemand mehr, um nach weiteren Getränke- oder Dessert-Wünschen zu fragen. Wir haben dann auch nichts weiter getrunken & auch kein Dessert mehr gegessen. Wir sind aufgestanden und zum Bezahlen an den Tresen gegangen - wie die Leute am Nachbartisch auch. Leider konnten wir dann nicht mit Karte zahlen und mussten noch Bargeld holen. Da hätten wir uns einen Hinweis vor dem Essen gewünscht; das Lesegerät funktioniert wohl häufiger nicht. Wir würden wieder dort Essen gehen. (Von 12-15 gibt es Mittagstisch)

A very tasty Greek restaurant at the Katharinenhof campsite. Portions are typical of Greek restaurants, and the complimentary ouzo with a splash of water is almost like the Greek way. We enjoyed the food and the price is reasonable. We will eat there again. Highly recommended!

Wir haben das Restaurant Waldpavillion leider erst an unserem letzten Urlaubstag entdeckt. Sonst hätten wir sehr gerne öfter hier gegessen. Das Restaurant ist wunderschön gelegen. Es gibt eine schöne Terrasse mit einem traumhaften Blick auf die Ostsee. Wir habe seht gut zu Mittag gegessen und sind noch zum Kaffee geblieben. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht zu toppen! Wer es gerne schön, gemütlich und kulinarisch mag, für den ist das Waldpavillion ein muss auf Fehmarn. Es liegt zwar etwas versteckt in Katharinenhof, wir waren mit dem Auto da und hatten das Navi an.

Haben bei sommerlichem Wetter auf der Terrasse am frühen Abend gegessen, nach Belieben in der Sonne oder im Schatten mit herrlichem Blick auf die Ostsee! Scholle Finkenwerder Art und Jägerschnitzel: Alles super frisch, sehr schmackhaft, mit Liebe und kreativ (viel Salat) arrangiert. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Freundlichste Bedienung. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Wir haben das Wochenende zum Campen auf Fehmarn verbracht und hier im Waldpavilion zu Abend gegessen. Wegen der hohen Tagestemperatur, saßen wir lieber drinnen.Wir bestellten 2x Backkartoffel mit Putenbrust Streifen mit angebratenen Gemüse. Das war ansprechend garniert und und geschmacklich sehr gut. Das Gericht stand nicht auf der Karte und wurde uns proaktiv angeboten. Wir sind zufrieden und können das Waldpavilion empfehlen. Parkplätze gibt es reichlich und der Ostsee Blick ist super.

There were two of us there. The outdoor area was quite busy. The staff seemed overwhelmed. The meat was very overseasoned. The pork fillet was grilled, but unfortunately, it was much too dry. It also had bones, which is not usual. It was served with rice and fries. Rice had been specifically requested beforehand, but was ignored and served with it. The mayonnaise we ordered with it was forgotten, even after we asked twice. When we asked whether the meat was grilled, as it was very dry, the staff seemed relatively annoyed and annoyed. Overall, OK, but nothing more. Probably the first and last time there.

Today, on the last day of my vacation, a Saturday, I cycled there for dinner. I had booked a table for four people by phone. The starter was good, the main course was rather cold, and one dish was missing. I asked several times, and then, inevitably, they asked again what I wanted! I had already ordered with my friends and was forgotten. No apology, no compensation, or anything like that. In fact, they acted as if it wasn't their fault... The restrooms were a bit dated, and the breakfast floor needed a thorough cleaning. The waitress was very arrogant when we wanted to pay... and only asked for cash or card... I wanted to pay by card, a friend wanted to pay in cash... so she very rudely called us to the counter... honestly... that's definitely not how you treat guests - impossible! I don't want a red carpet, but I do expect a certain level of friendliness. We will definitely not eat there again!

We went there for the first time on a Saturday. We had pre-ordered by phone, but there was no table reserved!! And we were very disappointed. We waited endlessly (30 minutes for an appetizer, 40 minutes for the main entrance) for our food, and to top it all off, one of the four people's meals was forgotten!! There was no apology, let alone any "compensation" like an ouzo. The staff seemed irritated, stressed, and arrogant when it came to paying. We never complained about the noise level, but on a weekend (the restaurant was packed), we wouldn't recommend it, as the staff were overwhelmed! You can't hear your own voice. (The women's restroom is showing its age, and the floor tiles need a thorough cleaning.) -Accessible -Outdoor area in the summer, perfect!

We've been eating here for years. Until now, it wasn't possible to make a reservation by phone; they always said, "Come on in, we'll find a table." Today, as usual, we went at 7 p.m. without a reservation, but unfortunately, it was full, and we waited patiently at the counter with other guests. Only after 15 minutes were we told that it was full and that there would be space again at 8 p.m. The atmosphere was incredibly bad among the staff, including the manager, who even shouted at customers who had already been waiting 30 minutes for drinks and had politely asked for them. We then decided to go to another Greek restaurant. This restaurant is no longer an option for us. Anyone who can't handle stress, for whatever reason, and who snaps at guests and staff should work from home and avoid customer contact. What a shame!!!

Although they often say you should make a reservation in advance, we stopped in spontaneously and managed to get a seat on the sun terrace. The reception was friendly. Drinks orders were taken immediately. The food arrived quickly. Good portions and very tasty. The gyros were crispy, just the way we like them. The lamb chops were grilled very well. The salad and salad dressing were also delicious. Only the liver on the Calypso plate was a bit overcooked and therefore a bit dry. A shame. The tzatziki, on the other hand, was creamy and exactly our taste. One evening we ordered gyros to take away. We wouldn't have been able to get a seat in the restaurant anyway. Everything was well packaged and warm.

Despite the busy times, the service was quick and friendly, the selection was good, and the portions were generous. It was very tasty. Highly recommended!

Auf der Suche nach einem Strand nahen Cafe stießen wir auf den Waldpavillon. Der erste Eindruck war sehr positiv. Ein gepflegtes Gelände, der PP war quasi leer und auf der Terrasse saßen ein paar Radtouristen. Somit konnten wir einen Platz mit Meerblick erhaschen. Die Terrassenmöbel stehen sehr im Widerspruch zu dem ersten Eindruck, da die Tische und auch die Stühle sehr abgenutzt und auch angerostet waren. Die Bedienung wirkte überfordert obwohl nicht viele Gäste anwesend waren. Wir haben uns die Karte dann persönlich geholt. Die Karte war sehr wertig gestaltet. Kaffee, Kuchen und Eisbecher schmeckten. Jedoch wurde eine Kuchenbestellung vergessen und musste nochmal nachgeforscht werden. Wenn man das Mobiliar erneuern und die Bedienung entsprechend autorisierten würde, wäre das Lokal eine sehr gute Adresse. Obwohl ich Waldpavillon in Strandpavillon oder Pavillon mit Meerblick umbenennen würde und den Urlauber auch mehr Wegweiser anbieten.

Good food at a good price! Right on the campsite

Reasonable prices for food and drinks. Nice ambiance. The staff was very friendly, and despite the restaurant being full, the food was served quickly. The kitchen was just as quick. Cash only. Update: The food is still good, and so is the service. While I complained about the lack of card payment options last time, this time I can say that they now also accept credit cards.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere is more like a cafeteria. Cramped, uncomfortable, and loud. The food is Greek and standard fare.

So, we've been here three years in a row. The food is simply amazing, I can't say more than that. So eat a little beforehand, because the portions are anything but small. This is the fifth time we've eaten here in three years, and we'll definitely be back next year. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par on Ascension Day weekend. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food, and we also waited a long time for the bill. Even the usual friendliness wasn't there. I really hope it was just the weekend. If things are different next year, I'll of course change my review. But despite everything, I highly recommend it; the price is really great, and as I mentioned, we'll be back.

We came without a reservation and were then asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. We said it didn't matter to us. The first time we rolled our eyes, but otherwise we were very unfriendly. The food wasn't really tasty. The rice was watery and only tasted of tomatoes, the fries weren't really seasoned and the chicken was way over-seasoned, so you couldn't taste it at all. We won't be eating there normally.

Our waiter was completely on air, which, surprisingly, didn't change the fact that he was the best waiter we've ever had. Funny, super organized, and customer-oriented despite the restaurant being completely full. The food was okay, but nothing special for the price.

Been here with friends who have been eating here for years. But first the boss (super personable and nice) had to come to the table, then the staff was friendlier and more attentive. Nevertheless, one had the feeling of a small mass processing. As soon as the starter was finished, it didn't take long for the main course. A little more air in between would have been nicer. 3 small pieces of bread for 4 people was also rather incomprehensible. Food was ok, but nothing special.

We drank delicious coffee, but the beach chairs outside were very run down and dirty. Clean chairs would enhance the outdoor area. The disgusting beach chairs are simply over and don't fit in with the otherwise very well-kept campsite.

We passed the restaurant on our bike tour and spontaneously stopped into the beer garden in the sunshine. The lunch menu on offer whetted our appetite and we didn't regret ordering dishes from the lunch menu. Prompt service, friendly service and reasonable prices for lunch. Portion size corresponding to a lunch dish, smaller than on an evening menu, but still sufficient. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The restaurant is located directly at the campsite and doesn't bother you at all, unfortunately only the countless crows and their noise. Still highly recommended! If you happen to be there, just stop by for a moment. You can also just do something about your thirst...

Food tasty (both the gyros in cream sauce and the really excellent schnitzel), portions generous, staff courteous and friendly despite the restaurant being full and no advance reservation. We would definitely recommend it.

Whenever we're on Fehmarn, we usually stop here at least once. Today, however, we were very disappointed. We arrived at around 2:15 p.m. and were immediately informed that the restaurant would be closing at 2:30 p.m. They then thought about it and asked if we were even allowed to stay. We were allowed, but the quality of the food, especially the gyro, was really poor this time. The fries weren't cooked properly, and the rice tasted only of tomato, lacking any seasoning. The side salad is the only thing worth mentioning, and after the initial back and forth, the service was also very friendly. Overall, however, the food was so disappointing that we won't be going there again.

The food was okay. The waiter was there alone and had his hands full.

After a phone call I got a table for two people at short notice. The restaurant was very busy and there were actually only two free tables. After a short consultation, we got the table in front of the counter and not at the door. This was very small for 2 large stable people. The service was extremely stressful, which didn't detract from the friendliness and we got drinks and a menu quickly. Very good selection of food and drinks. Just typically Greek. The food itself was hearty and well prepared and tasted very good. We had fried beef liver and gyros gratinated. All in all, highly recommended, with still reasonable prices. We went there twice during our vacation. It was fantastic. Even small ordering errors are not important. They are fixed very quickly without many words. So much warmth flows towards you. Every guest gets the feeling that they are the only and most important. Both times the restaurant was really full.

The service seemed listless, our starter was forgotten, and other dishes were actually served like those that were ordered. The service was friendly, drinks came quickly and the food was served hot in a reasonable time. The portions were large and we were all full. You can certainly always argue about taste, but I can't understand the recent piling up of negative reviews (didn't taste good... etc). Our food was tasty and technically not objectionable. Just because you personally don't like it doesn't mean it's bad. I would also have liked a little more spice, but that's not why I'm spoiling the review here. Some people would certainly judge my taste to be over-seasoned or over-seasoned. We will definitely eat there again. If there is anything to complain about, I will report it here😉

Hello We were at the Odyssey restaurant yesterday. I don't understand the negative reviews about this restaurant at all. Of course there are different tastes. But we don't think it's a good idea to put such a great restaurant on the Branger. Yesterday I had the menu Gyros with Metaxa sauce and my wife Befteki. This is the best Befteki my wife has eaten so far. Both with rice and fries and salad. Me and my wife loved the food. It's one of the best Greek places we've eaten. As some people write here, the service isn't that great, we can't confirm that, but it's super nice. We can't confirm that the ambience is supposed to be bad either. It was warm enough in the restaurant too. We also received the food and drinks very quickly. We will definitely come back when we are back on Fehmarn. VG Thomas and Silke from Kassel

Good Greek restaurant at the entrance to the campsite

We were there twice during our Fehmarn vacation. The food was delicious and was served quickly, despite it being very busy on the second visit. A cake fork was immediately brought for our children as cutlery. In all other restaurants we had to ask first and were then looked at skeptically. We would love to come back on our next vacation!

Service friendly, accommodating and actually “genuinely” Greek. The restaurant smells authentically of Greece and the food was really tasty. The ambience seems a bit arbitrary. The prices for the food are rather cheap, but the drinks are unfortunately too expensive compared to the surrounding area.

Please note, Monday is a rest day.

Unfortunately I can't agree with the top reviews. Went there on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were rather rudely asked to find a free seat somewhere. Found what they were looking for outside. Nice terrace, but loveless tables (no decorations, shakers just loose on the table). Attentive service, unfortunately forgot the order, but apologized several times almost in tears. Waited a long time for drinks (20 minutes), which were no longer cold and without foam. Very simple starter salad with no taste. Food took 40 minutes. Portions ok, food well seasoned, meat rather dry, espresso lukewarm afterwards. The price is okay, but nothing special that you couldn't get better and in a nicer atmosphere at the Greek restaurant around the corner.

We had gyros with the usual side dishes, the food was absolutely fine. The service was also friendly and quick, given the amount of work involved. Great price for the food! However, the ambience and mood was hectic and loud. A person in service seemed so stressed and spoke incredibly loudly, both to guests and other employees. Very unpleasant. We had the feeling that we were being worked off, a cozy evening to spend the evening was unthinkable. Too bad!

At lunchtime I wanted to reserve a table for the evening, but on the phone I was told that wasn't necessary. When we arrived in the evening the restaurant was completely full. After a short wait a table was available for us. We didn't have to wait long for our order and our food, credit to the service! The food was rather mediocre, we weren't impressed with the taste! It can happen that everyone has different tastes. What I didn't like at all was the volume with which the staff shouted at each other, maybe just turn down the music, which was way too loud. Then you don't have to yell at it 🤔! It felt like you were in a train station and not in a restaurant, and the price was right. The staff and the boss were nice, the food was mediocre and it was way too loud, hence this rating.

We eat here every year on vacation and are always thrilled. The food is always there quickly and really tasty and no matter how busy it is, something is always made possible. The service is friendly and the place is cozy.

Our order was ready and ready for pickup very quickly but we were very disappointed. The starter portions are very small, grape leaves fall apart and 5 pieces for €7 is overpriced. We didn't get bread for every starter and the octopus salad is a ready-made product. Everything is “pimped up” with lots of lettuce so that it looks like a lot. Too bad!

Good morning. It has nothing to do with Greek food or restaurants. Everything was imitated, but unfortunately very inadequate. The gratinated with metaxa sauce had zero taste. At least the meat wasn't tough. I would recommend it as a good snack. Sorry but that's my opinion! So there is still a lot of room for improvement... Oh, by the way. The tzatziki was indigestible. That had nothing to do with Greek.

We didn't find the food tasty. Everything tasted like the same spices. The service person didn't really understand that at all. The bifteki looked like it didn't have much minced meat in it. The grape leaves and the filling were really mushy like rice pudding and it didn't fit. It would be great if you were service-oriented

I'm really sorry that I have to give a bad review here, because the staff was really very friendly and tried to organize a reservation for us at short notice. The ambience inside was, well…rather small and squashed. The service was good despite the place being full and the food came exceptionally quickly. Unfortunately we have never eaten such bad gyros. I thought you couldn't go wrong with gyros, but far from it. In the end it was just a waste of money and we were annoyed that we had made this mistake given the large variety of restaurants on the island. But maybe the other dishes taste better - we won't try them, sorry!

Danger! Don't go there to eat! Tried again after two days! And yes, the food was subpar, personally never experienced such a bad Greek. They were extremely unfriendly on the first visit, but this time it was better. There has been a constant effort. Just a moment to eat! The onions had a rotten tinge to them. At least I hope it wasn't the meat. Had the gyros plate and the 46. Wine was also a very reasonable price and matched the taste. It's just a shame, the place had so much potential. In any case, it is not recommended! For a beer, it is recommended but nothing more! 🙄 I don't understand this, people spend their well-deserved summer vacation and are simply cheated out of the beautiful moments out of greed. 🙁

We came spontaneously and hungry and were not disappointed. Even with a dog on a leash, we were welcome inside. We ordered 3 cokes - 0.3l, gyros with souvláki and Suzuki, gyros with souvláki and schnitzel Hawaii. All 3 dishes include a salad which was brought with the drinks after a short wait. The obligatory ouzo as an aperitif was also on the table for two of us adults. The restaurant was well attended and almost all tables were occupied, but the service had everything well under control and our food was in front of us after about 20 minutes. Hot, delicious, absolutely flawless in terms of quality and taste. In the end we paid €60 for drinks and food, which we found to be extremely cheap. We'll definitely be back.

First impression positive, Then we got food, unfortunately not as ordered (ordered pork fillet and felt like I got neck steak, totally stringy and the sauce like water was definitely not Metaxa sauce!). The staff then informed us, a moment later the chef just shouted at us. He started screaming and waving his hands around, which scared my girlfriend. He then ran through the restaurant and commented loudly that we were complaining that apparently no one had ever complained. Afterwards they demanded the full price even though not even half of it was eaten. This restaurant is an absolute disaster and absolutely not recommended. Shame about the money! The entire team was very stressed and very unqualified for a Greek restaurant.

Der Aufenthalt war draussen. Der Meerblick ist nur bedingt möglich, da die Sicht durch vorhandene (Dornen-)Hecken eingeschränkt ist. Die Bestuhlung lässt zu wünschen übrig: es blättert Farbe an den Stühlen ab und Tischbeine haben teils rostige Beine. Da passen die relativ hohen Preise nicht unbedingt zu: Hefeweizen aus der Flasche Euro 7,90 ist schon heftig, die Kartoffelsuppe war lecker, aber es war nur ein kleines Tässchen voll - damit auch überteuert. Der Service war mässig, zu oft wurden wir übersehen, obwohl nicht viel los war. Insgesamt werden wir vorab erst einmal nicht mehr dort Essen gehen.

We were welcomed very nicely and were accompanied to the table. A short time later we placed our order. We were asked to do this in a very nice and funny way ☺️ The portions were generous and very flavorful. You could taste the typical herbs for gyros and the meat was juicy yet crispy. It was certainly worth the trip and can only recommend it. By the way, we ate outside and everything there was super clean and tidy. Thank you for the great food and the really nice service 👍

We are currently here and are being served very courteously. Tables that become available will be cleared and cleaned immediately. The staff is very attentive and always right there. The food is super delicious. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. We will definitely come here again during our vacation time.

I found the food to be rushed at times and the service to take an extremely long time. Today we got pitas and specifically ordered one without onions and there were still some in it and a couple in front of us ordered the same game without onions and still had onions in it

We were there at 5:30 p.m., spontaneously got a cookie for two, everything was easy... The rush came around 6:30 p.m.😅 The food was really great, the liver was good, the lamb was tender and the octopus was delicious. Price/performance good. There was nothing to complain about 👌💪

The food was very tasty and came very quickly, which could be criticized, the starter came 2 minutes before the main course so the table was very full but that wasn't a problem for us. Ambience, it's just perfect at the campsite!

We were only able to order an hour after we were there, the food only came back when the shop was almost closed, the calves were unnecessarily stressed and very loud and the food wasn't even good. I recommend going to Ahtos instead

That was nothing ☹️ Positive: The reservation worked. The boss is really nice. Negative: The waitress only came to the table after 15 minutes to bring the menus and take the drink order. Drinks came after 35 minutes 🐌 The food came after 65 minutes. All the side salads were forgotten and when we complained about it we were given a round of drinks on the house. The food was carelessly placed on the plates, the typical Greek taste was missing in all 4 dishes. My lamb fillet was stringy and the sauce was good. The waiter had greasy long hair and was very grumpy. Overall, a disappointing visit to the restaurant, perhaps due to the mass processing of walk-ins from the campsite. The prices were acceptable and the portions were small. There is definitely still room for improvement. We are Fehmarans and will no longer be guests there.

Mh, let's put it that way. There is a lack of a manager here who can keep the store properly under control. We waited 10 minutes to be allowed to go to our table, then another 30 minutes until we were finally allowed to place our order after repeated requests. Food came after another 40 minutes. Meanwhile, other guests were more lucky and had their food in that time, even though they arrived 20 minutes after us. The waiters were all extremely stressed and the lady on site was just complaining. If you knew the Greek language, these wouldn't have been nice interchangeable dialogues. The food was okay, but sorry the waiters tried hard, but were just stressed and it was pure chaos. Unfortunately we also forgot a meal, but that was quickly rectified. But there was no kind of friendly attention, as is usually the case with Greeks. There wasn't any stuff for the children either, you know little coloring pads or something like that, but whatever. It's a shame the staff was there, but it's just uncoordinated and it was hectic when no hecticness was necessary. And this criticism can come from a trained HoFa. They were all friendly except the lady. She must have had a bad day

Very nice employees. Reasonable prices for a restaurant at the campsite and the typical Greek offerings.

We ate great and inexpensively. Quality and taste excellent. Great service, a great restaurant on the campsite, highly recommended.
