》Positiv überrascht !! Warum waren wir nicht schon früher hier. Nicht nur das Essen, sondern auch der Service waren gut.

We were there as a couple on New Year's Eve and the restaurant was very busy. We liked it very much. We'd love to come back.

We shortened the waiting time for our ferry to arrive and went to the Greek restaurant. The salad was a bit poor, lamb was good, moussaka was more of a gratinated boulette with a slice of aubergine. It wasn't a failure, but there is room for improvement

Klassischer Grieche mit freundlichem Service und gigantischen Portionen. Selbst unser Sohn, 23 Jahre, 1 Meter 90 und immer hungrig, musste vor diesen Mengen kapitulieren. Wir waren Samstags da und froh reserviert zu haben. Wir hatten überbackenen Schafskäse, Gyros, Souvlaki und Leber - alles lecker. Die frittierten Kartoffelscheiben mal was anderes als Pommes Frites. Tzatziki nicht zu knoblauchlastig. Ein Ouzo zur Begrüßung, was will man mehr.

Sehr sehr schmackhaftes Essen, toll zubereitet und in ausreichender Menge. Hatte einen Travemünde Spezialteller. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommende Service. Gerne wieder beim nächsten Besuch in Travemünde. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Finally got a table and we wouldn't be disappointed. It was very tasty and we were served well and quickly. The ambience is typically Greek, but I don't have much expectation of that. The main thing is delicious and that's it. We'd love to come back.

Not so overly seasoned (only last time, I think it was the exception), not so garlic-heavy. That's why I like to come here and also those who avoid too much seasoning. Food quality excellent. Price-performance acceptable, portions OK, portion of rice/frites could be more. Service very good. Update: The quality of the food is still very good, the quantity of side dishes is very manageable, but the prices of the drinks are no longer acceptable.

Vor kurzem war ich mit meiner Familie zum Mittagessen in diesem griechischen Restaurant. Schon beim Betreten des Lokals fiel uns die Sauberkeit auf, alles war sehr gepflegt und einladend. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Speisekarte bot eine tolle Auswahl an typisch griechischen Gerichten, und was uns besonders gefiel: Die Qualität des Essens war super. Alles war frisch zubereitet, die Portionen großzügig und geschmacklich ein echtes Highlight. Besonders das Gyros, Bifteki und das Tsatsiki haben uns begeistert. Auch die vegetarischen Optionen waren vielfältig. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen!

Been here again for a while, with two small children it's a little more difficult to eat out. The parents reading along will know what I mean. The restaurant was already full at lunchtime and the service was a little behind because he temporarily had to do everything alone. When the food finally came, it was as always: fresh, perfectly seasoned and delicious. The 6, 16 and 40 in a package for two are highly recommended. We'll be back soon!

Das Restaurant scheint im Mittagsgeschäft gut zu laufen, zum Glück hatten wir einen Tisch für eine etwas größere Gesellschaft reserviert. Wenn man mit einer größeren Gruppe kommt, ist das sicherlich empfehlenswert. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und heißen jeden herzlich Willkommen. Das Essen kommt sehr fix, die Portionen sind sehr groß. Darunter leidet die Qualität in keiner Weise.

We had bifteki and a plate of gyros and suflaki. Both only with fries, who cares about rice. Both dishes were very good, especially the bifteki which we often eat at Greek or Jugo restaurants. The rose was dry and delicious and for good measure they had our favorite ouzo from Pilavas.

Greek dishes as you would expect from the menu but really good quality and really tasty. Service very attentive and nice. We sat in the next room, which unfortunately has seen better days. The gypsum plaster is crumbling and the wooden cladding already has many flaws. But you're happy to accept it for the really good food. We'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

*An absolute insider tip in Travemünde!* We ended up in this Greek restaurant by chance as it was still open late in the evening. We weren't originally planning on going for Greek food as it wasn't our first choice, but we still wanted to give the restaurant a chance. And that was the best decision we could have made! The wait for the food was very short, which pleasantly surprised us. The starter, a gratinated goat cheese, was a real culinary delight. When the meat platter was served, we were completely overwhelmed, the taste was excellent and exceeded all our expectations. The portions were generous, so we all left the restaurant more than full and satisfied. This restaurant definitely impressed us and will be remembered for a long time. It was by far the best Greek restaurant we have ever eaten at. The next time you visit Travemünde, another visit here is guaranteed. A big compliment also to the friendly and attentive waiter who made our evening perfect. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

The restaurant is somewhat inconspicuous in the Rose, but inside it is very large with several rooms. We prefer the small side room, which is more comfortable and quieter. There is a large selection of dishes, which we have all enjoyed so far and were filling. Friendly and quick service round off the positive impression.

Went here specifically for the lunch menu and were very satisfied and the girls were even enthusiastic. Beforehand there was an Uzzo and a soup of the day which was extremely tasty 😋... Food wasn't good, I don't know the Metaxa sauce is anything but Metaxa sauce. Tzatziki feels like it's made with cream. The only thing that was very good were the fries. The coleslaw was swimming in oil and the grilled pepperoni was super small, but the taste was ok. I can't say anything about the meat because we only had vegetarian starters. For us it was more like a snack bar.

This is super delicious. The meat is juicy and the tzatziki is freshly made. A little dream. The only drawback: Very noisy and loud.

The quality of the food was very good, the service was attentive and quick. On a positive note, there are also high chairs for children and the option to pay by card. The only thing that bothered us was that dogs were allowed into the restaurant. Good for dog owners, bad for families whose children have a phobia against dogs and immediately felt uncomfortable as a result. I would still recommend the store without reservation as everything else was great.

I don't want to know what the other Greeks around here are like when they give 4.6 ⭐. Metaxa sauce is inedible, and we didn't particularly like the tzatziki either. The fries, on the other hand, were very good and homemade. The coleslaw was swimming in oil and tasted OK, but overall the food had the character of a snack. We are used to better quality back home.

Table for a single without any problems... plates very well filled... everything tasty... Uzo beforehand for free... the fries are so delicious... potato chips... We chose the starter plate for 2 people. It turned out to be very bread-heavy. In addition to a few eggplants and zucchini - which were dripping in oil - there were 3 different dips, each of which was arranged twice so that it looked like 6 dips, but there were three left. Plus 6 olives. The best thing, definitely, were the two ouzo that came with it. These were definitely of higher quality than the usual Greek welcome ouzo. The highlight of the starter plate!!! Delicious. The main courses were very good. There was nothing wrong with that.

Whenever you visit Travemünde, a visit to Kymata is high on the agenda. Before you order, you first get an ouzo, which has also become a rarity in other restaurants. The food itself is simply delicious. I've eaten many Gyros Metaxa variations, but this dish at Kymata is simply unbeatable. Especially since we have never had long waiting times. The service is also top and very attentive. All in all, this restaurant is easy to recommend!

Delicious Greek restaurant in the second row in Travemünde.

It was very positive that a larger table was reserved for us at short notice. The food was tasty, the prices were fair, the portions were decent. The service staff was moderately attentive, the ambience is simple but clean and tidy. If you want to go out to eat with friends and children, you're in good hands here. To spend a nice evening for two, I would prefer other locations because it is relatively noisy and the restaurant does not have a special ambience. I would eat here again at any time. In my opinion, it is particularly recommended for groups.

The food was okay, not bad, but small portions for a lot of money. The plate also had a piece of ceramic missing, but the staff didn't seem to care. Dogs are allowed, of course there was a dog there when we visited 👍🏼 which can be a problem for allergy sufferers if the room is poorly ventilated. I don't have to have it again.

We have been coming here on our holidays in Travemünde for 4 years. Everything tastes great and the prices are great. Price-performance is great! The service is very nice and accommodating! The food comes quickly. For lunch there is a separate small menu with very reasonable prices and always a starter soup. For us it will always be a must visit on our next vacation!

Die sehr guten Bewertungen können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Natürlich ist alles Geschmackssache. Die Vorsuppe war extrem fettig und schmeckte nach nichts genauso der Reis. Das Fleisch war zart und lecker. Das Gesamteindruck hat uns nicht überzeugt.

Very tasty food and cheap lunch during the week with starter soup and ouzo

Delicious food and very good service. Our little one was a bit tired and hungry. Without asking, she was given some crayons and a coloring book to keep herself busy. The delivery was right on time and the quality of the food was very good. There was a lot of raw onion on the dishes. Typical Greek but a bit too much for us. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Cozy, Greek restaurant in the heart of Travemünde. Lunch (including soup) costs around €10-12 depending on the dish. Absolutely fair and portions that fill you up. Gyros with Metaxa sauce and a side dish are recommended. Very nice service!

We go to the Baltic Sea about 3-4 times a year to spend nice vacations. We ALWAYS take the time to eat at Kymata. We don't know of any comparable GOOD Greeks. The food is great, the atmosphere is typically Greek and the service is unique. Our not exactly small dog is always welcome. We are already looking forward to the next visit.
