A very good and affordable Greek restaurant with very friendly service. Definitely recommend it! The food was truly delicious and the portions were generous. For a gyro plate with soup and bread as a starter, including ouzo to finish, we paid "only" €11.40 at lunchtime (October 2025).

The food was incredibly delicious and the portions were generous. The menu has everything you'd expect from Greek food. Huge praise for the kitchen; the meat was cooked to perfection.

2025: Food was OK. Prices increased. 2023: I heard the same waiter joke 10 times all evening when ordering: "The drink is sold out. Just kidding! Haha!" The food was still OK, although the portions have shrunk. There were no pepperoni in the salad and only 1/2 slice of cucumber and 1/8 tomato. Too bad. I get more for €17.20 at the Greek restaurant around the corner. This time I didn't even get full. 2022: The food was very tasty. The gyros were also crispy and the fries were simply amazing. They regularly served ouzo, and there's nothing to complain about. It's just that when the old prices of €9.50 are still posted outside and I'm then asked to pay €5 more in the restaurant, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But I decided to order the food after all.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated, but the food was unfortunately a disappointment. The portions were very large, which was good. However, the gyros were extremely salty and the souvlaki weren't cooked all the way through. It's a shame; we've had much better.

The ambience was good and the service very polite and friendly. However, the food wasn't so good. The gyros were burnt, the chicken was undercooked, and the Metaxa sauce was thick as pudding. The colder it got, the harder it became. What a shame!

It was okay, the gyro was quite tasty. The portion could have been larger. The salad as an appetizer was too vinegary. A nice dressing would have been better. All in all, we were full.

Hey, I understand that you want to finish work at some point, too. But when I hear at 8:58 p.m. that the kitchen has been closed for 15 minutes, and then the menu outside says 9 p.m., I don't think that's nice. Just to be clear: I expect someone to make me food two minutes before closing time. But I do expect an honest answer. In the end, we spent €80 for two people two streets away. We won't be coming back here.

Portion sizes could be improved, service was friendly and attentive. The quality of the meat could be improved somewhat; it could be a bit more tender. More marinade would also improve the flavor. Still recommended.

Good Greek restaurant with large portions and delicious taste! We tried the gyros, moussaka and the Maja plate — everything tasted amazing and was plentiful. The waiters seemed a bit busy, but that didn't put a damper on the experience. We would definitely come back here! We got a salad as a starter and a small glass of Ouzo without ordering.

Sehr authentisches griechisches Restaurant mir einer abgespeckten Mittagskarte zu realistischen Preisen. Wir kehrten zum Mittagessen in dieses Restaurant ein. Die Mittagskarte war hervorragend ausgewählt und somit haben wir ein leckeres Mittagessen genießen können. Die Atmosphäre ist authentisch, sauber und gemütlich. Der Service war freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam. Die Preise waren für Gyros unter 10.- mit einer Vorsuppe (Kartoffelcremesuppe, lecker), 1 Ouzo und dem Hauptgericht incl. Salat und Zaziki. Wir aßen Souvlaki und ein Putenschnitzel mit den Beilagen. Die Portion war ausreichend und schmackhaft. Der Mittagstisch ist eine günstige und leckere Alternative in Travemünde. Die Abendkarte ist ähnlich realistisch und lecker. Immer, wenn wir in Travemünde sind, kehren wir hier ein. Im März 2022 habe ich schonmal eine positive Rezension geschrieben, an der sich nichts geändert hat. 5 Sterne.

Visited the restaurant today while on vacation. The food was generally okay, although not outstanding. The farmer's salad had a good mix, but the dressing was a little indefinable and had a bland taste. Souvlaki and Suzuki were great, as was the tzatziki, unfortunately the gyro was a bit greasy. Nevertheless, we were well fed. Service was actually quite good, waiter was quick, food came to the table quickly and without any problems. Unfortunately, no one asked if everything was okay or if there was anything else they wanted, even though the store wasn't too full. I can ignore that, unfortunately it's absolutely not okay if you have a bill of just under €61 according to the menu and the waiter calls out a sum of €65 when you check out. A request for an invoice or receipt was ignored or ignored despite few customers. I have no problem paying for good food plus tips. But I want to decide for myself whether and how much I give. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated case either, as a lady asked the waiter about the bill about an hour before because it seemed too high to her. The waiter then had to pay the lady money back because he had apparently “miscalculated”. So either the waiter can't do math, has the wrong prices in mind, or is cheating. All three things are wrong. The ambience was fine so far, only the slightly distinctive smell of fish was a bit disturbing in the first few minutes. Apart from that, it was a typically Greek restaurant. CONCLUSION: The food is a good alternative on a mostly fish-heavy holiday. However, you should ask for a receipt so that no “mistakes” can occur when checking out.

We picked up dinner today, which we had pre-ordered 2 hours in advance. Unfortunately, the starter of mushrooms in garlic oil with sheep's cheese was nothing. Unfortunately, the mushrooms had neither pepper nor salt and were completely tasteless. The sheep's cheese announced for this starter consisted of less than 10 micro-crumbs. Unfortunately, the announced garlic oil wasn't available either. The second starter, Saganaki, was unfortunately not of high quality and was machine-breaded, which ended up in the fries. And how could it be otherwise: there was no bread with these starters (but it says differently on the menu and we asked specifically over the phone!). The main courses: Travemünde grill plate tasted good, as did the tzatziki. The second main course of fried calamari was small (5 pieces), plus 3 broccoli florets and 3 forkfuls of fries (for just under 20 euros). The tartar sauce tasted good. The side salad with the main courses came without dressing and only consisted of coleslaw with half a slice of cucumber and an 8th slice of tomato. Unfortunately that was disappointing.

We shortened the waiting time for our ferry to arrive and went to the Greek restaurant. The salad was a bit poor, lamb was good, moussaka was more of a gratinated boulette with a slice of aubergine. It wasn't a failure, but there is room for improvement

Klassischer Grieche mit freundlichem Service und gigantischen Portionen. Selbst unser Sohn, 23 Jahre, 1 Meter 90 und immer hungrig, musste vor diesen Mengen kapitulieren. Wir waren Samstags da und froh reserviert zu haben. Wir hatten überbackenen Schafskäse, Gyros, Souvlaki und Leber - alles lecker. Die frittierten Kartoffelscheiben mal was anderes als Pommes Frites. Tzatziki nicht zu knoblauchlastig. Ein Ouzo zur Begrüßung, was will man mehr.

Sehr sehr schmackhaftes Essen, toll zubereitet und in ausreichender Menge. Hatte einen Travemünde Spezialteller. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommende Service. Gerne wieder beim nächsten Besuch in Travemünde. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Vor kurzem war ich mit meiner Familie zum Mittagessen in diesem griechischen Restaurant. Schon beim Betreten des Lokals fiel uns die Sauberkeit auf, alles war sehr gepflegt und einladend. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Speisekarte bot eine tolle Auswahl an typisch griechischen Gerichten, und was uns besonders gefiel: Die Qualität des Essens war super. Alles war frisch zubereitet, die Portionen großzügig und geschmacklich ein echtes Highlight. Besonders das Gyros, Bifteki und das Tsatsiki haben uns begeistert. Auch die vegetarischen Optionen waren vielfältig. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen!

Been here again for a while, with two small children it's a little more difficult to eat out. The parents reading along will know what I mean.
