Korfu in Lübeck

We were there for a company party, understandably not everyone gets their food at the same time, the food was served per table, unfortunately I have to follow the reviews and say that the food is loveless and tasteless, the gyros was unseasoned and the tzatziki was pure Quark mass without garlic. I have never had such bad Greek food in Lübeck!! For me, Corfu is no longer an option.

We were there yesterday with 4 people. The ambience was certainly modern 30 years ago. The food was anything but good. The beef liver was dry, tough and not seasoned at all. The rice was plain boiled rice with a dollop of tomato sauce and inedible. All dishes were carelessly slapped onto the plates. Not a bit of decoration, nothing. The salad beforehand was 0815 coleslaw. The Bifteki unabridged, the same goes for the Souvlaki, dry and tasteless. The only plus point: it was warm in the restaurant. Conclusion: you will never see us again, rarely eaten as badly as yours.

Welcome to the supermarket. That's how I felt when we entered the store yesterday. A large selection of Greek foods and wines as well as various klimbim. I was a bit irritated then. To eat. The salad beforehand was bland and tasteless. Just soaked in oil. The bifteki was poorly seasoned or not seasoned at all. Liver fully fried and without any seasoning. The rice was normal and covered with a tomato sauce. Everything was very carelessly prepared, even without pepperoni. The ambience is also very old. All in all: For some people it might be really great there. We have visited many better Greek restaurants. We will definitely not go there again.

Unfortunately no photos were taken, but it's still a great restaurant where the price is right and the quality is fantastic. The service was outstanding, questions/recommendations were answered and given calmly. Always keep an eye on what is happening without the guest feeling like they are being watched. The 4.5 hours flew by. We'll definitely be back and that's exactly how the service should be. Feel-good factor, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff with classic Greek cuisine. This is a rare experience these days. In my opinion 5 stars are still not enough. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Carelessly prepared...My salad consisted of a sliced ​​tomato, 4 slices of cucumber and an olive. The whole thing pure without dressing. The main course was almost unseasoned. All in all, nothing special. We were very disappointed. Visited once and never again.

The reception and staff is nice and polite. We had a starter that was good (breaded sheep's cheese). Afterwards there was a starter salad each. The salad was OK but came on plates that were still warm (probably just out of the dishwasher). For the main course we had gyros and chicken gratinated with Metaxa. One with fries and one with rice. Maybe I should have listened when the cellar asked if I really wanted rice, because I've never had rice like that before. Lovelessly on a small plate, not even lukewarm, with an indefinable sauce poured over it. The main courses were OK, but didn't really convince us.

I have known the owner for years.and he has never been rude to me.and the food is always delicious.

We have enjoyed coming to Corfu for years. Delicious food with good portions at fair prices. We simply feel comfortable there and are always given a very warm welcome. I can only recommend Corfu to everyone.

And if you have plain white rice on your plate and just because there is a blob of tomato sauce on it, it is now Greek-style tomato rice. . . ??? Sorry, this one was barely edible AND HE NEVER SAW NO LOCAL LIKE THIS!!! When the boss was walking around and happened to see that I couldn't get any salt out of my shaker to add some salt to my unseasoned salad and my fries that were too hard, this nice, smiling older man came to our table and just said to me: give me that Salt shakers, here we swap them with the table. Let others try it. . . The people of Salzburg are too big for these spreaders. So with these words He turned over the salt shaker and disappeared just as quickly as He appeared before. We were finished around 4 p.m. and while we were paying, we heard 3 people arriving asking for a seat (a table was still occupied apart from ours). This place has an estimated 25 tables. Again very slowly: 3 people asked for a table. One was occupied and there's still one left to clear away that we just got up from. There were at least 6 employees there and 23 empty tables. . . Well, these 3 people were allowed to go again because they hadn't pre-ordered, but 18 of them were already reserved. H A L L L O - from 6 p.m.! Now it's 4 p.m. But it's your shop. Yes, but we also want to be fair - the rest wasn't bad. As a tip: play a little Greek music. This will definitely be well received.

Absolutely the best Greek in Lübeck. The food is homemade down to the last olive. I've never had better Greek food. Simply excellent. That's what I say as an expert on Greece. The ambience, which bothers some guests because it seems outdated to them, is absolutely 100% Greek and therefore traditional and beautiful. And without “LED spotlights” and modern stuff; simply traditionally good, as it is in Greece, with the typical traditional carpets and the upholstered chairs and benches and not like in the design studio on TV. So it's perfect. In addition, the opening times are generous and you can always find a place, but you should still make a reservation. The service staff are friendly and in a good mood. 1 0 0% Greece! Thanks for the lovely hours!

We like to stop here whenever we are in Lübeck. What is unfortunately no longer a given today is the tables set with candles and now at Christmas time with small table arrangements. I would be happy if it stayed that way. The food was very good, as was the wine. We like the atmosphere and the style. Update: Highly recommended. The friendly manner, the food was all great. Thank you very much and we will be happy to come back on our next visit to Lübeck.

If you're really hungry and you arrive in Lübeck at 10 p.m., this place is a safe choice. We ordered two Grill Teller; the meat was chewy, but the fries were good. As for service, we had a mixed experience. The lady who served us was kind and friendly, but the guy who showed us to our table seemed too tired. He wasn’t pleased with our request to change tables because we didn’t want to be near the back door where people were standing and smoking. It’s been a while since someone snapped at me : "I have to clean the table first."

We have known Corfu for at least 30 years, the food was always very tasty, there was never anything to complain about. We were there again after many years, and the service is still very friendly and accommodating today. But this time we were a bit disappointed with the gyros; in our opinion, it wasn't freshly cut from the spit, but warmed up in a pan. The meat was very dark and firm, something we don't know from Corfu! I ordered the 38b, under the huge mountain of mushrooms, onions and peppers there was a bit of gyros - really very little! There was also very little tzatziki on the plate. Everything tasted perfect except for the gyros. The ambience has remained in the 80s, you can still sit comfortably on the left side of the restaurant, but you can't sit on the right at all - sorry. Very uncomfortable there and the chairs are very wobbly and too high for the tables, they should be updated. Corfu was always our Greek No. 1 - but we now have better alternatives. Therefore only 3 stars

We spontaneously passed Corfu. Because of the cultural festival, it was quite full in Lübeck city and in the restaurant. We were nevertheless greeted warmly and asked if we wanted to wait a short time because a table would then become available. And that's the way it was. The service was great and the food was very tasty.

The welcome and service were very friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is excellent. The prices are cheap and the portions are large. The side salad was a bit small with two types, but the gyro was very flavorful, if a bit dry. If we are in Lübeck and are hungry, we will definitely come back.

We have been visiting this restaurant at irregular intervals for over ten years. Today it was that time again. We ordered the grill platter for three people. Unfortunately, the lamb chops were terribly tough and since the knives were more than blunt, it was difficult to cut them. The taste of the other meat was very tasty as always and the side dishes were also great. However, the service seemed a bit dubious. The “lady” looked like she came from the Hamburg neighborhood and not from Lübeck. In our opinion, such "staff" has no place in a reputable restaurant. Sorry.

Today it should be Greek. The restaurant is a bit old. It took the waiter a while to spot me. The portion was sufficient but nothing special. The meat lacked a bit of seasoning, too much coleslaw with an olive, not enough tzatziki, some cucumber and tomato. I liked the onion rings. Price/performance was okay. The waitresses were all very friendly. To say goodbye I was offered a Uozo.

Had a spontaneous meal there, sat outside, the service staff was at the table quickly, drinks came quickly, as did the dish we ordered (vegetarian mussaka), and there was a salad with a few pieces of tomato, exactly one olive, and vinegar and oil dressing. The taste was ok/below average, overall it was definitely too fatty. The béchamel sauce was served as a solid, bland porridge. I was expecting a creamy sauce, perhaps layered. If I had wished it were different, definitely room for improvement, maybe also depending on the chef. Atmosphere in the interior is not very Greek, more like a pub, the price is okay, €17 for a large drink and food.

I went there with my parents as a child, and today I go there to eat with my family. That probably says it all. Keep it up and stay with us for a long time.

Today we took a trip to Lübeck and happened to pass the Korfu restaurant. We briefly looked at the menu and the reviews online and went there because of the good reviews. Furnishings rustic, suitable for the staff... The toilet is hard to get into the cabin, everything is in need of renovation, open wall behind the toilet... For food: there was no bread, the salad was carelessly prepared, mixed salad with vinegar, coleslaw was definitely not homemade and didn't taste good. We had various dishes from gyro plates, bifteki to mussaka, which was named the "best" in Lübeck on the menu. It was the worst meal I've ever had. The mussaka was 90% béchamel sauce, no taste, dripping with fat. The others' meat was dry and tasteless. The best part was probably the fries and even they weren't good. After we told each other after the meal that we didn't like the food, they didn't come to meet us and we were insulted at the end because we wanted to split the bill and pay by card. Once and never again. I absolutely cannot recommend it! Greek food has never been so bad.

Wir sind wegen den guten Bewertungen dort essen gegangen. Die Atmosphäre und Einrichtung war sehr harmonisch. Leider ist mir das Essen nicht gut bekommen und ich musste mich die ganze Nacht übergeben. Auch 1-2 Tage später ist mir immer noch übel. Ich denke mal irgendetwas war mit dem Fleisch nicht in Ordnung (Gyros überbacken).

A really nice place and nothing is fake here! Real Greeks and the food is lovely. We are on vacation here in Lübeck and spontaneously walked in here around 1 p.m. We got a table straight away, the waitresses were all very friendly and the food came to the table hot and quickly 👍🏻 The portions are more than sufficient and they are great for the prices. At the end there is a free ouzo to wash it down with. If you can't manage the food, you can have the rest packed up and taken with you. Simply outstanding. If we go on holiday in Lübeck again, we'll be happy to come back❤

I visited Corfu regularly with my family when I was a child. Huge portions, juicy meat and delicious tzatziki. I was working nearby today and thought I'd get a portion of gyros with fries and rice. I love eating gyros... ...unfortunately it's not remotely the same as it was when I was younger. The rice was very lukewarm, the fries not salted, tzatziki ok (but also just ok) THE MEAT SEE PHOTO I pass after 3 forks. The service when picking up was very friendly. I actually don't think much of these reviews, but I'm sorry, it was a complete disappointment.

Mit Freude auf ein leckeres Gyros sind wir hier eingekehrt - und wurden enttäuscht. Der Salat war lieblos und mit sehr saurem Krautsalat angerichtet. Das Gyros zu 50 Prozent "würfelig" ,insgesamt fettig und geschmacksneutral. Da war bestimmt eine Pfanne im Spiel. Das geht gar nicht. Die Bedienung war freundlich.

Das Essen war ok allerdings fand ich die Portionen für ein Griechen relativ klein und über den Geschmack lässt sich ja bekanntlich streiten. Leider war der Reis nur mit einer Soße übergossen und kein typischer Tomatenreis so wie ich ihn kenne

Wir waren kürzlich am Samstagabend (nach langer Pause) mal wieder im Korfu essen. Was soll man sagen - gut wie eh und je. Freundlicher Service, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - und der Giros schmackhaft und gut wie seit Jahrzehnten. Die Teller wirken "etwas überladen" - vielleicht sollte der Patron mal die Anschaffung etwas grösserer Teller in Erwägung ziehen....? Aber ansonsten - alles top; wir kommen gern wieder. btw: Hinter dem Restaurant ist direkt das Parkdeck Pferdemarkt - das finde ich schon recht praktisch. Nachtrag 12/2023 Inzwischen waren wir etliche Male mal wieder hier -> mal als Paar, mal ans Bunch. Und - immer ohne Fehl und Tadel - quasi der "umme Ecke Grieche" wo automatisch das "zu Hause"-Feeling kommt - jederzeit gern wieder. Und nachdem uns neulich vom Chef die Wunderwelt der Ouzos erläutert wurde (von denen er echt viele auf der Karte hat) haben wir einen Grund mehr nach der 37 hier zu versacken. Well worth it to come here! Good food in a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices. You know you're on a winner when locals come in and order without needing the menu. Portion size was good for 12000 steps carrying a biggish rucksack.

Uriges griechisches Restaurant in der Lübecker Innenstadt. Wenn man hier rein kommt, macht man eine kleine Reise in die Vergangenheit. Seit der Eröffnung vor mehr als 40 Jahren hat sich hier nichts verändert, erzählte uns der Inhaber. Und das muss nicht unbedingt schlecht sein. Ohne Reservierung einen schönen Tisch bekommen. Die Preise sind wirklich okay, da zahlt man bei anderen Griechen mittlerweile deutlich mehr. Portionsgröße war auch okay. Die Portion ist gut zu schaffen und man wird satt. Die Qualität des Fleisches war wirklich super lecker und frisch. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für den etwas unaufmerksamen Service der etwas mit dem Abräumen und Rechnung auf sich warten lies. Wer aber auf der Suche nach einem bezahlbaren und leckeren Griechen in einem gemütlichen Ambiente um die Ecke ist, macht hier definitiv nichts falsch und wir würden wieder kommen.

Schnell, gut, schmackhaft. Der "Seniorenteller" absolut ausreichend. Vorweg der Bohnensalat, klasse. Preise immer noch sehr moderat. Gerne wieder.

Ich gehe immer wieder gerne ins Korfu, da die Küche sehr gut ist. 👍 Lediglich die Lüftung der Küche müsste verbessert werden, da man die Gerüche lange mit nach Hause nimmt.

Es ein nettes, gepflegtes Lokal, mit überaus freundlichem Service. Die Metaxasoße war ein Traum.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker dort . Aber ich persönlich finde es sehr dunkel eingerichtet . Es könnten frische Farben und eine helle Einrichtung gut vertragen . Schön finde ich im Eingangsbereich , daß man griechische Speziealitäten dort kaufen kann . Die Mitarbeiter sind auch sehr bemüht da .

Wir sind nach einem gemütlichen Strandtag aufgrund der guten Bewertungen ins Korfu eingekehrt, …leider. Beim Saganaki vorweg war noch alles in Ordnung, aber das sollte auch jeder Grieche hinbekommen. Zum Hauptgang hatten wir uns für die Plakaplatte für 2 Personen mit Tomatenreis und Pommes entschieden. Der Reis war fast kalt und die grad mal warme Tomatensoße war nur darüber gegossen. Das Gyros war warmgehalten und schwamm im Fett. Das restliche Fleisch war trocken und alles war sehr fettig. Salat, Fehlanzeige, Krautsalat fertig aus der Box, je 2 Scheiben Tomaten und 2 Scheiben Gurken, plus 2 Oliven und 2 Peperoni. Das gereichte Brot war auch nicht frisch, eher angetrocknet. So schlecht haben wir lange nicht mehr griechisch gegessen👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
