Restaurant Cafe Diercksen in Scharbeutz

While looking for a restaurant, we ended up at Diercksen, and we were not disappointed. My wife was absolutely delighted with her fish dish. I had a schnitzel with chanterelles. Very tasty, but the meat was a bit tough. My own fault, why I only eat schnitzel when I'm at the sea 🤔. In my defense, it was chanterelle season 😉. Next time, we'll have fish 🧐.

Warning ⚠️ Rip-off! We were only there for coffee and tea the second time. The waitress seemed very unfriendly and annoyed, even though we ordered regular dishes without any special requests. She brought me the wrong tea, which I didn't mind and didn't complain about. When paying, we had to signal several times before the waitress finally came. We wanted to pay for our meal, which cost 22.30 euros, with a 50-euro bill. She then cheekily demanded 2.30 euros in change. Then she couldn't do the math and only gave us 25 euros in change instead of 30, and ran off so fast that we couldn't respond. She didn't even wish us a nice day!! I definitely won't eat there again. I didn't give you a voluntary tip!!! Little tip => warm chocolate cake at Wolkenlos in Timmendorf tastes much better 😉

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We spent 14 days in Scharbeutz and almost every other day – sometimes even more often – we went to Café Diercksen for dinner. We also stopped by for breakfast and a coffee. As in previous years when we were there, everything was excellent! The food is great, the selection is large and varied – whether meat, salads, or fish, there are many delicious creations. The schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and a side salad is particularly recommended at the moment. We were impressed by the quality and taste every time. We highly recommend Café Diercksen to everyone! A quick tip: Be sure to reserve a table in advance, as it's almost always full in the evenings. We're already looking forward to our next visit – see you soon! 👋

We were there and received very friendly service. It was very busy both inside and outside, so a reservation is recommended. The food was okay. We had Jägerschnitzel and Wiener Schnitzel. Unfortunately, the mushrooms were from a can. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel was too dry, so I had to ask for more lemon. The fried potatoes were delicious. The service was really nice.

Had a grilled plate with a piece of beef fillet, a piece of pork tenderloin, and turkey breast. It was good, but I needed to add more seasoning. The loin with mushrooms was quite good. Very fast and very friendly service.

It couldn't be better! Service, taste (schnitzel, fried fish, and salmon from the lunch menu), speed, and portion sizes are all reasonable for the price. We'll be back!

We were there on August 16, 2025, and were extremely satisfied. The staff were very friendly, always checking on us if everything was okay, and they were always attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious. A great end to our vacation—we'd love to go back.

Went Lubeck for day trip from Hamburg and one's gotta have fresh seafood when next to Baltic sea! Delicious and generous portion of fresh fish coupled with excellent service. Prawn starter didn't look very impressive but did taste great n fresh. Enjoyed the breeze sitting outside (finally after a few days of heat wave) and people watching. Nice little stroll nearby after dinner before sunset made it an unforgettable experience especially for the last night in Hamburg. I highly recommend coming for early dinner n having a stroll nearby at the beach and taking in the Baltic sea beauty before sunset! Also recommend booking in advance!

We had dinner here for the first time today, and I have to say it was excellent. A huge compliment to the service, the very friendly staff, and of course, the kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised. A bright spot in Scharbeutz: extremely friendly service, delicious food, not as pretentious as the restaurant a few meters away. Something for every taste. I really can't understand "Juli's" review. Since I always ask when something's unclear, I quickly notice whether the staff knows what's being served and what's in the food. The prices are reasonable (unfortunately, everything is a bit more expensive in Scharbeutz) for this lovely place. My husband and I were very satisfied and look forward to our next visit when we're back in Scharbeutz.

Top restaurant, we were there for dinner, incredibly delicious, huge portions, great staff and all at reasonable prices.

Nice, simple atmosphere, good selection, irritated service. Due to a food allergy (the menu stated the dish was tolerable), the food had to be returned. The alternative was "Then just have the (side) salad or order something else." This was simply not possible for the reasons stated above. I still had to pay for the meal. Too bad, once and never again. No one can do anything about food allergies, but the customer isn't king here.

Selection mediocre and service could be friendlier.

We went there several times during our vacation. For breakfast and lunch. We were thrilled! Everything was well organized. There were no long waits. The food was good, and above all, the hospitality was outstanding. Even at full capacity, the staff never seemed to be trying; they were very accommodating and extremely polite. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back again.

Yesterday, six of us spontaneously went here for dinner, even without a reservation, and we still got a table. We were very surprised; we haven't had such a good meal in a long time. It's a shame our vacation is over and we didn't find our way here sooner; we definitely would have come more often. The ladies serving were also very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the grilled platter and schnitzel! Price-wise, there's nothing to complain about; everything is really great! We'd gladly come back, see you next time!

The table wasn't set, more like a cafeteria / the cutlery was carelessly placed on the table! On the plate (which we wanted to share) were 3 tiny pieces of meat with beans. It would have been more of an appetizer 😖 We ordered plaice with shrimp and parsley potatoes (according to the menu). We got plaice with completely over-salted mini crabs. Apparently, there wasn't any parsley in the kitchen either. The steak was okay. The staff were annoyed and rather unattentive. Price for four people (3 dishes) and two children (they only ate fries) €150! We therefore don't recommend it!

We had plaice once and the fish platter once. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. There's a small play area for children with crayons, books, puzzles, and small toys. The ambiance is neat and tidy, but not entirely contemporary. You could lend a hand here. But you're not there to look, you're there to eat. And that's a complete win.

We were on vacation in Schabeutz/Timmendorfer Strand and wanted a good, quick dinner. The staff was very friendly, and we were seated without a reservation, even though everything was booked. We were offered a table that wasn't needed for another hour, which was plenty for us. The food is recommended. The portions are adequate, but could be a bit larger. I particularly enjoyed the cucumber salad and the fried potatoes.

I was in Scharbeutz for a break and wanted a classic fish meal! I was recommended the Café Diercksens restaurant, and I didn't regret it. I was traveling alone, didn't have a reservation, and got a table right away. The staff are simply amazing! Super attentive, incredibly friendly, and patient, with a smile on their faces! You don't get that these days. Regulars are politely called by name, but even as a passing guest, you feel like you've been coming here forever. The food was absolutely delicious. The fried fish melted in your mouth (it was cooked well, so there's no misunderstanding 🤣)! The side salad was served with a fresh mustard dressing. The hot chocolate and biscuit were delicious. The Campari Spritz was perfectly seasoned. The value for money is absolutely justified!

We ate dinner here three times during our week-long vacation, as in addition to the asparagus menu, they also offer great dishes for non-asparagus fans. We enjoyed everything from the asparagus to the schnitzel, potatoes, fries, and a small salad! For dessert, we had a Swedish cup (vanilla ice cream, apple compote, whipped cream, and eggnog), which was absolutely delicious. The service was super friendly and welcoming; all in all, it was fantastic. We'll definitely be back next year!

We were here on April 22nd. for lunch. We were surprised by the super friendly staff and great food. We chose herring fillet, pea soup and rice pudding for dessert. The prices were very moderate, which we noticed very positively in this location in Scharbeutz. We will definitely eat here more often

We were there the week before Easter and were very impressed! The service was super friendly and very fast considering the amount of guests there at the time. We had 2x asparagus with schnitzel and the request to replace the potatoes with fries in one dish was accepted without any problems. The food was super tasty and the asparagus was really perfect. We left very full and satisfied. A recommendation if you are ever in Scharbeutz.

A very cozy restaurant with incredibly friendly staff and incredibly fast food. The waitresses were attentive and friendly, praised the children for their pictures and remembered us when we came back. Both times, all four of us had food on the table within 20-30 minutes, even though it was full. The children's meals were great. We found the main courses to be solid (baked fish, schnitzel) to very good (pike perch on vegetables, was recommended for the day). What was a bit strange was how different the serving methods were.

We had dinner there today and were very disappointed. The currywurst had an inedible sauce and was also cold. The fish we ordered wasn't tasty either.

We went to the restaurant because of the positive reviews. We had the fried fish with fried potatoes and tartar sauce and were a little disappointed. Unfortunately, instead of fresh breaded fish, there was fish a'la Iglo and the remoulade was also a rather thin sauce.

Price is a bit high for the portions but that's probably due to inflation. Otherwise it was fine.
