Yesterday evening I visited the BUTZ restaurant with my husband on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. I've had breakfast there several times and have always been impressed. We were shown to our table by a "waiter". While we were still "fighting" with our jackets, the waiter slammed two cards on the table and left without a word. We found that very strange. The table was beautifully set and decorated for the anniversary, which made us very happy. The waiter remained reserved and cool throughout our meal. No kind word, no smile, he made you feel unwelcome. We had the kale twice, once classic, once with zander fillet. Unfortunately, it was very overcooked. If requested, the classic portion included 2x cabbage sausage and 1 piece of smoked pork. The piece of Kasseler was extremely small. Kale and fried potatoes were delicious. The dessert selection for dessert (pancakes, ice cream, crème brulee, chocolate panacotta and cherries were carelessly presented. The pancake was cold and, in my opinion, not freshly prepared. After the payment process, the aforementioned waiter disappeared without a word or greeting. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio was not right for this dinner! The waiter's cold demeanor made it difficult to really feel comfortable! I thought that was a shame!

Es war ein schöner Abend mit einem Geschäftspartner . Es wurde drauf eingegangen und ein Tisch angeboten , an dem man etwas ungestört war. Das Ambiente ist sehr gut, Personal sehr zuvorkommend und dezent. Speisen Auswahl ist sehr gut und die Qualität des Essen ist im absolut oberen Bereich angesiedelt Geschmackliche sehr gut. We went for breakfast and the food was very good. The service could have been a little more attentive, sometimes you had to ask several times until what you ordered finally came. Price-wise it's okay.

Ich hatte für einen Samstagabend einen 3er Tisch reserviert und war bei meiner Ankunft etwas etwas irritiert. Im Vorraum standen 2 größere Gästegruppe, offensichtlich nicht begrüßt oder in irgendeiner Form vom Personal beachtet. Es wurde dann nach einigen Minuten nachgefragt, wer zu welcher Gruppe gehört, und ich bekam dann gottlob meinen reservierten Tisch zugewiesen. Es war an diesem Tisch ausgesprochen zugig, so dass wir nach kurzer Zeit unsere Outdoor-Jacken wieder anzogen. Als Amuse Gueule wurde Weißbrot mit einem Quarkdip gereicht, der mir zu sauer sauer war. Mein Aperitif, ein Secco Berry (4.90 €) war nicht nur optisch ein guter Einstieg. Als Vorspeise entschied ich mich für das Manzo Tonnato (16,90 €) eine Art Vitello Tonnato, geschmacklich gut, aber mit sehr knapp bemessene Thunfischsauce. Für den Hauptgang entschied ich mich für Pfifferlinge in Rahm (?) und Kartoffelpüree. Das Püree kann unerwähnt bleiben; die Pfifferlinge hingegen wurden in einer kompakten, mehligen und geschmacksneutralen Sauce serviert. Nur leicht angebraten wären sie mir willkommener gewesen. Meine Begleitung hatte sich für Wiener Schnitzel bzw. Tafelspitz entschieden und war offensichtlich zufrieden. Zu den drei Hauptspeisen wurde je ein gemischter Salat serviert. Statt eines Dessert hätten wir gerne eine Käseplatten bestellt, was die Karte aber auch auf Nachfrage nicht hergab, so dass wir darauf verzichteten. Mein Gl. Mezzogiorno Primitivo (7,30 €) war gut temperiert und sehr vollmundig, und der abschließende Espresso (4,60 € doppelt) heiß und kräftig. Die männliche Bedienung (Nr 13) war aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Hervorragendes Essen, auf den Punkt gegart und abgeschmeckt. Es tut mir leid für die erstklassige Küche, der Service ist noch besser. Eine echte Perle, etwas ab vom Schuss, dafür preislich bestens. Danke.

Etwas Abseits des Trubels vom Timmendorf Strand liegt dieses wunderbare Restaurant, welches uns von Einheimischen empfohlen wurde. Die Empfehlung hat gehalten was sie versprach.

Das bestellte Essen war für uns alle vier spitze. Die Kalbsleber und das Rumpsteak waren super zart und der Dorsch hervorragend gebraten. Sehr empfehlenswert mit dem zuvorkommenden Service. Wir waren das zweite Mal da, selbst im Hochsommer bei vollem Haus und Terrasse super Service und besondere Speisen.

Es ist einfach immer wieder schön im Butz! Angefangen vom Ambiente, über den sehr freundlichen Service is hin selbstverständlich zum leckeren Essen!! Egal ob Frühstück oder zum Mittag / Abendessen- das Butz ist immer einen Besuch wert! Eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

Ich mag die Einrichtung, alles ist stylish und trotzdem gemütlich. Die Bedienungen sind alle professionell und (trotzdem) supernett. Das Essen war wieder gewohnt auf hohem Niveau und hübsch serviert. Die Preise noch anständig. Das Butz ist unser Favorit in der Gemeinde Scharbeutz.

A really great restaurant with warm service and a great breakfast 💯 great location to invite family and friends for brunch. Everyone liked it very much. Especially the roast beef and the quality of the food was just great.

06/2024: Today we went to eat at Butz for the second time in 2 weeks because we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I can't rate the rooms because we didn't stay overnight. The small but fine restaurant with cozy furnishings and impeccable service in rural Schürsdorf impressed us throughout. The food is excellent and is more like upscale gastronomy. The prices are fair and the quality is right. The menu is small, but offers down-to-earth and seasonal dishes, such as boiled beef with horseradish sauce, that are second to none. Keep it up! We'll definitely be back. 😉 08/2024: Today we had breakfast at Butz and were completely thrilled. The extremely fine selection of cold cuts on the lovingly prepared cake stand leaves nothing to be desired. These are also peppered with fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also freshly made scrambled eggs with bacon, set or fried eggs and of course a wonderful selection of rolls. As well as coffee specialties of your choice and even a glass of Prosecco. If something runs out, it can be reordered. For 23€ per person more than fair. So full marks for breakfast too. 😉👍

Dining here again after a year, unfortunately very disappointed! Plaice fried to death, black on one side, unseasoned, fried potatoes soft (I can do much better), sober Vegetables, boring...cold, the second meal “cordon bleu” wasn't recognizable, unappetizing, so I just tried it. It was my birthday:-( left the restaurant, went to Hamburg and had a fantastic time at the Italian restaurant :-), was treated to an incredibly great dinner = Pei's performance there was absolutely perfect. The Butz parking lot is overcrowded. We cannot rate the hotel. The service was friendly but overwhelmed… a lot of unrest, waiting time, little attention… We won't be coming back.

The food is really delicious and in generous portions! 5 stars!! The location in the “second row” is nicely located. Unfortunately, relative pressure builds up in the evening as the end of the day approaches. I also felt like the time between courses was too short. Perhaps guests should not be accepted after 7pm if full hospitality cannot be guaranteed?

We can only rate the restaurant. The food was really good and tasted great. Unfortunately, the main courses were a bit small in our opinion. Min. You should always plan an appetizer if you are hungry. Additional slight deductions in the B grade: parking situation difficult, service (candle had to be lit yourself, no pepper/salt, etc.). But the food was very tasty, so I recommend it...

A consistently very worthwhile excursion destination, also for coastal visitors: In a beautiful brick, rural, village setting in the hinterland of Scharbeutz, in Schürsdorf, on an idyllic mill pond, good home-style and seasonal dishes are served here at Butz. The quality of the vegetables and meat is impeccable and the sauces are well seasoned. The sweet and sour, clear fish soup with plenty of ingredients is excellent. The impeccably crafted, delicious cordon bleu is also great. The veal liver with tarragon sauce and mashed potatoes is a delight. The ambience and service are very friendly, good all around and also convey an unaffected local color. The prices are reasonable, even cheap for the lunch menu. A country inn with a future.

Here I have to divide my review: 1. Dinner: The dinner was excellent, everything tasted very good and was of excellent quality. I would come back here at any time. 2. Breakfast: Unfortunately there are discounts on the price. The first point of criticism is the rolls. Given the price and the actual quality of the hotel, baked rolls are not possible at all! The second point of criticism is the cheese, which "tasted" like a cheap range of cold cuts from a well-known discount store - in other words, like nothing at all. The cold cuts and the selection of drinks, on the other hand, were very good. Overall, I have to say, I wouldn't want to have breakfast here again.

We had the full package: dinner, one night and breakfast - and it was a great time. First of all, the service is really outstanding. Staff is always attentive, welcoming and friendly. The restaurant offers a very good choice of seasonal, meat and fish dishes. Ingredients are very fresh and preparation is delicious. Our room had a modern design and felt pretty spacious. The surroundings are super quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast is a choice of sausages, cheese, sweets and fruit as well as different rolls and some bread. I enjoyed it and the quality was much better than most buffets. Being not directly at the seaside makes it less touristy but very relaxing. I will come here again!

We only ate here, so that's all I can judge. It is a fine restaurant with high quality and a special atmosphere and hospitality. The food comes from regional traders and is prepared with care. It tasted very tasty. Eating here is something special, you should do it. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It is located just outside of Scharbeutz, so you need a car to get there. But the journey is very worth it.

We were there for dinner. Very nice and cozy restaurant in a quiet location. The selection and quality of the food is at a high level, including the children's plate! The prices are completely reasonable for the quality. We will be back and can highly recommend it.

Ich war schon oft im Butz und war überrascht über die 5,- Euro Preiserhöhung beim Frühstück. Es ist und bleibt eine kleine Etagere. Die Brötchen waren abgezählt und das Brot nur 2 Scheiben. Wir mussten ständig was nachbestellen, Butter Leberwurst, Fleischsalat…. Bei 6 Personen zwei Löffel Fleischsalat. Das war nervig auch immer wieder darauf zu warten. Ich hatte bei meinen Freunden das Butz in den höchsten Tönen angepriesen, war leider enttäuschend. Schade. Grüße nach Schürsdorf, Wiebke Grenheid

Service teilweise unaufmerksamkeit und auch manchmal sehr launisch

Bei der Reservierung haben wir um einen bestimmten Tisch gebeten. Wurde uns vom freundlichen Personal bestätigt und auch beim Eintreffen hingeführt. Die Bestelllung der Vorspeise (Rote Beete Carpaccio und im Hauptgang Rotbarschfilet) wurden sehr professionell vom Servicepersonal beantwortet. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker und haben voll unseren Vorstellungen entsprochen. Der nächste Besuch ist schon vermerkt.

Waren am 19.07.2024 Frühstücken hatten tolles Wetter daher konnten wir auch draußen sitzen der Garten ist schön angelegt und man kann ganz in Ruhe dort sitzen das Frühstück selber können wir nur weiterempfehlen es gibt alles was man braucht hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

We were only there for breakfast (8 people - 4 adults, 4 children aged 14). Good service, very nice team. Very good breakfast €25 per adult is a price that raises high expectations - but these were fully met. The rooms are very tasteful and very well maintained. Very nice.

We were there for birthday breakfast today. It was extremely rich, fresh and delicious... more was served at the table... there was always plenty of coffee... the conditions were super nice. We were even able to bring a dog. The toilets are also very small but clean...The small pond directly opposite is very idyllic... We will be back

We were only there for breakfast. There was an etagère with various types of cold cuts and cheese, meat, fruit, jam and Nutella. The preparation of the egg was freely selectable (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, etc.). Plus really delicious bread and rolls. Warm drinks (coffee, tea, cocoa) and orange juice. 1 glass of Prosecco per person. It was very tasty and the staff was very, very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back.
