Seit 18 Jahren urlaube ich am Timmendorfer Strand und als Pflicht ist ein Besuch des Restaurant „Fischkiste“. Unscheinbar von außen überrascht das Szene Fisch Restaurant mit einem aufmerksamen guten Service und einem angemessenen Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Einzig: 13,90€ für rote Grütze mit Vanilleeis ist schon etwas „drüber“. Aber gut… Auf baldiges Wiedersehen

Schönes Ambiente mit Blick auf den Niendorfer Hafen. Der Fisch war ausgezeichnet, und hat absolut nichts mit Convinience Food zu tun (wie die Dame in einer anderen Rezension meinte). Das Essen war sehr frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich top. Ein Stern Abzug, da wir die Speisen als sehr ölig empfunden haben, am Kartoffelsalat war sehr viel Mayo und die Bratkartoffeln/ Pommes waren fettig. Aber das ist Geschmackssache! Toiletten top sauber!

Wir waren heute, nach einer Seebestattung, mit 10 Personen in der Fischkiste zum Essen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und einfühlsam empfangen und sehr schnell bedient. Das Essen war sehr lecker und hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir werden die Fischkiste weiterempfehlen und selbst freuen wir uns auf einen erneuten Besuch. Vielen Dank für die angenehmen Stunden, die wir in Ihrem Restaurant verbringen durften. Einen besonderen Gruß und ein Dankschön an die Küche, die meistens vergessen wird. Wir waren heute aus Hamburg mit dem Wünschwagen des ASB in Niendorf und sind nach einer Bootsfahrt in das Restaurant Fischkiste eingekehrt. Wir wurden ganz vorzüglich empfangen und betreut und möchte uns, auch im Namen unseres Wünschenden, sehr herzlich für den tollen und leckeren Nachmittag bedanken!

Der Service, das Essen und auch das Ambiente ist sehr freundlich und einladend. Der Service war sehr nett und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wir haben nicht lange gewartet auf das Essen. Ich werde wieder in die Fischkiste zum Essen gehen.

Wir haben ein wirklich sehr leckeres Essen genossen. Es war augenscheinlich sehr frisch und gut angerichtet. Qualität wirklich sehr gut. Allerdings fanden wir die Portionen doch recht schmal. Gutes Essen kann gutes Geld kosten. Wir fanden allerdings den Preis nicht angemessen. Das Personal ist freundlich und der Gastraum gemütlich und sauber.

Per Zufall auf die Fischkiste gekommen, der 3-km-Marsch hatte sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Das Essen war sehr gut ( 3-Gänge-Menü ) und die Bedienung war sehr nett. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und der Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang am Hafen traumhaft. Interessant... die Farbwahl auf der Damentoilette 👌🫢.

Wow! Das waren sehr, sehr leckere Speisen, die wir hier genießen durften! Der Tisch für den nächsten Genuss ist bereits reserviert! Dazu kommt der erstklassige Service des sehr freundlichen Personals, sowie eine gute Auswahl an Getränken. Wir freuen uns schon sehr!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend im Restaurant Fischkiste. Das Essen war frisch, sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den ausgezeichneten Service von Jana – sie war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Die Küche bietet traditionelle deutsche Gerichte mit einem klassischen Gourmet-Touch aus Frankreich, was den Speisen eine ganz besondere und elegante Note verleiht. Auch das Ambiente war sehr angenehm und gemütlich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Restaurant absolut weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an Jana und das gesamte Team!

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend hier verbracht. Jeder Wunsch wurde vom Kellner (Christian)der " Alten Schule" sofort erfüllt! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Das Ambiente im hinteren Teil des Restaurants ist absolut fantastisch und authentisch. Weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon drauf. Vielen Dank

Als langjähriger Gast schätze ich die Qualität der Speisen und des Services sehr.

Etwas gehobenes Ambiente. Das Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Rahmsuppe mit Nordseekrabben war der Hit. Die Pinsa mit Thunfisch und das Fischcurry haben das Ganze getopt. Man sollte aber lieber einen Tisch bestellen. Wir kommen wieder.

Nach einem hervorragenden Abendessen in der Fischkiste Niendorf mit Geschäftsfreunden kam es zu einer unerwarteten Situation: Mein Wagen ließ sich nicht mehr starten, ohne dass die Alarmanlage auslöste. Der Pannendienst ließ nachts auf sich warten. Als ich noch einmal ins Restaurant ging, waren Inhaber Marc Röger und ein Freund bereits die letzten Gäste. Marc bot mir sofort ein Getränk an und – ganz selbstverständlich – seine Hilfe. Gemeinsam fanden wir tatsächlich eine pragmatische Lösung (Bierdeckel am Lenkrad!), sodass ich noch in derselben Nacht sicher nach Hamburg zurückfahren konnte. Diese Situation zeigt sehr klar, wofür die Fischkiste steht: köstliches Essen, echte Gastfreundschaft und ehrliches Interesse am Menschen. Genau das zeichnet Familie Röger und ihr Haus aus. Wir hatten dieses Mal nicht reserviert, haben aber trotzdem einen schönen Platz im vorderen Bereich erhalten. Erwartungsgemäß waren Service und Essen wieder hervorragend. In 40 Tagen sind wir erneut zu Gast und freuen uns bereits jetzt darauf.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, leckerer Fisch und Dessert ein Traum!

Die Bedienung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Vorspeise war ausgezeichnet. Das Hauptgericht war sehr gut , aber leider waren die Teller und die Schalen für Soße Kartoffeln und Butter nicht vorgewärmt.Somit haben sich die Speisen sehr schnell abgekühlt.Beim Nachtisch gab es nichts zu bemängeln.

Tip Top Kann mann nur empfehlen. Alles perfekt.

Ich habe eine Scholle gegessen. Das war die beste seit langem. Und alles andere passt auch.

Den Marillenschnaps sollte man dort lieber nicht kosten... ☠️

Wunderschöne Lage und hervorragendes Essen

Wir haben hier einen Abend zu 6. verbracht. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir hatten einen Platz in der Nähe der Bar mit ausreichend Platz. Das Essen war super, sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptgerichte. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Negus, Dodo und wie sie sich alle nennen. Das, was ihr macht, ist Rufmord. Ihr wart nicht vor Ort essen. Ihr habt einfach mal Nachrichten gehört. Wozu dann diese sinnlose Bewertung? Die Bewertungen bei Google sollen dafür da sein, wenn man vor Ort etwas erlebt hat. Ihr habt lediglich Nachrichten gehört. Ich war 15 Jahre in der Gastronomie, komme aus Mecklenburg. Lebe mittlerweile in Bulgarien und in der Schweiz. So Menschen wie euch kenne ich. Vollkommen sinnlos. Man sollte die IP rausfinden und euch vor Gericht bringen. Ganz einfache Sache.

The service is very good. The ambiance with the harbor view is also lovely. We had plaice fillet with potato salad. The fillet was perhaps the best we've ever had. Mom's salad tastes better, though. I think €5.50 for tea is too much. It was the first time we were asked if we wanted more potatoes—a huge plus!

Ambiente und Ausstattung sind in die Jahre gekommen. Der Sanitärbereich dürfte eine Renovierung vertragen. Wir kennen DIE FISCHKISTE seit vielen Jahren,aber leider ist die Entwicklung nicht weiter gegangen. Es fehlt die Raffinesse und Liebe zum Detail. Die Saucen( Matjes mit Dipp und auch Senfsauce für Pannfisch oder das Curry ) schmecken wie aus der Systemgastronomie — FIX&FERTIG—angerührt. Die Vorspeise — Niendorfer Fischsuppe— hat reichlich Einlage ,aber auch hier wäre „etwas“ fürs Auge ( Petersilie ) nicht abzulehnen, vom Brot zur Suppe ganz zu schweigen( gibt es nicht). Beim Kaffee ( Gratis vom Haus) fehlt der „Kleine Bonbon/ Keks“. Es sind die Kleinigkeiten, welche ein Essen zum Genuss machen. Schade für Die FISCHKISTE , denn die Adresse war „zwischen den Jahren“ gern unsere Einkehr.

Seit Jahren der beste Fisch und super Zubereitung. Hohe Qualität und immernoch in der selben Familie, sehr gut. Kleines Manko das Servicepersonal vergisst viel und ist langsam.

Gehobene Preise, dafür große Portionen und gutes Essen. Toller, freundlicher Service in angenehmen Ambiente mit Stil.

Went there for the first time yesterday, having been alerted by the reviews. We weren't disappointed; the food was delicious and fresh. The service was super friendly (other restaurants could learn a thing or two from them). Parking is available around the corner. I'd go back anytime.

An excellent fish restaurant! The food is fresh and delicious. The fish tastes like the sea, just as it should. The Labskaus is also recommended, if you like it. The ambiance is cozy and elegant, and the service is attentive and very friendly. Definitely a recommendation if you're in Niendorf and want to eat well.

From the outside, the fish box doesn't look like much. While it's neatly decorated inside, the decor isn't anything special. However, this is more than compensated for by attentive and friendly service and food so delicious that you'll want to come back again and again. The prices are quite reasonable. Considering the service and quality of the food, they're absolutely reasonable.

Last night I ordered a cream of crab soup and two plaice as a starter - the food was first class and highly recommended!

Once again, we were able to enjoy our delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The ambiance is characterized, among other things, by maritime oil paintings, which never cease to fascinate us. The service is very attentive and friendly. We would be happy to return.

We ordered cod, one fried and one steamed with vegetables. The vegetables were over 90 percent leek, which had a very pungent taste. The boiled potatoes were very tasty, but the mustard sauce was unfortunately nothing special. Conclusion: Very disappointing for the price of over 30 euros per person. It didn't help that the salmon tartare starter was very tasty, but for three small slices of baguette topped with tartare, almost 20 euros is quite a hefty price tag.

Very tasty food, good and inexpensive wines, lovely evening.

A very nice restaurant right on the harbor. The food was excellently prepared, beautifully seasoned, and beautifully presented. We didn't make a reservation, but you should definitely do so during peak season. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful time.

The service was excellent, which is to be expected. The food was very tasty. The tuna tower was a bit of a tad heavy on the palate, but the plaice fillets were plentiful, absolutely boneless, and very tasty. It took a while for the food to arrive, and there was a misunderstanding with our reservation, but that wasn't a problem.

We've been going to Timmendorfer Strand for over 30 years and always enjoy stopping by the Fischkiste! Niendorf without the Fischkiste is unthinkable! - Nowhere else can you find such good and delicious fish dishes as here with the Röger family and their team!

Unfortunately, we were disappointed this year. The pan-fried fish was no longer worth the money in terms of taste. In our opinion, it was also a bit overpriced. A shame.

We had delicious pan-fried fish. It was truly excellent. Delicious fish, delicious fried potatoes, delicious salad, and delicious mustard sauce. Great service; always very attentive. Everything was top-notch. We'll be back again.

Totally overpriced for such small portions. Poorly presented. Fish is always expensive, but they shouldn't skimp on side dishes like potatoes. You should be able to fill yourself up with something. The staff was nice and friendly, but the test was a no-go!

The food is like anything you'd find in a village (maybe that's their thing). I didn't like the service at all. It feels like I'm visiting some drunken, macho uncle in the countryside who talks to me like I'm his relative, constantly brushing my head with his body as if there's no room to pass. One good thing: The wine is delicious. The pinsa isn't pinsa at all. The chef should really learn how to make pinsa. And the fish soup? Even at the weekly market in Düsseldorf, it tastes better than here in the restaurant.

We stopped by on a sunny Saturday afternoon and received a warm welcome. The monthly menu was exceptionally delicious and offered excellent value for money. We were particularly impressed by the consistently friendly and attentive staff. We felt completely at home and would be happy to return.

Unfortunately not! This formerly beautiful, traditional fish restaurant was a disappointment. With such high-priced food, you'd expect a beautifully designed menu in an appealing format. What you get is a very, very large cardboard menu, poorly and cheaply made. The staff prefers to chat rather than serve you. They didn't even ask about drinks beforehand... It was more important for the waiter to watch scantily clad young women on their way and even comment on it. Even after quite some time, we couldn't order and left the restaurant with a "thank you for nothing." Unfortunately, nothing can be rated here... had we eaten, it would probably be different.

Whenever we find our way from North Rhine-Westphalia to the Baltic Sea, a visit to the Fischkiste is a must. 💙🐟🩵⚓️🤍 The quality of the food is simply sensational!!! I've rarely eaten such good fish; if I had to give it 10 stars, I would have. Christian provides excellent service and has the best recommendations for every guest. There's a plentiful wine selection. In short, simply a dream. We'll be back... A big shout out to the kitchen, they're truly excellent craftsmanship. Absolutely top-notch! You have to eat here.

Always the best – a pleasure every time.

We reserved a table for two people today and were there for the first time. The welcome was good, the ambiance very nice. All the waiters were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food disappointed us. We ordered green herring. It was served plain on a plate and, in size, was more reminiscent of smelt, and it didn't taste like herring either. The fish itself was unseasoned, simply bland. Instead of potato salad, we ordered boiled potatoes. That made it a very dry affair. Perhaps our mistake. Then we had Niendorfer Pannfisch (pan-fried fish). Pannfisch is known for its three types of fish and mustard sauce. Here, there was only one type of fish. Okay, that's probably the Niendorf style; we had the wrong expectations. The mustard sauce was very mustard-heavy, not tasty, and the fish itself, unfortunately, was boring and bland. We won't be coming back; perhaps we're just too demanding.

Very attentive, competent, and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the fish on the menu of the month wasn't much more than pan-fried fish for my taste. A real shame for such a renowned fish restaurant and the price. Everything else was delicious. But if I came just for the fish... mmm. Asparagus and strawberries are also delicious elsewhere. Fresh fish is probably too expensive!

From the exterior, we were not sure about this restaurant. But as soon as we sat down we felt very welcome. The service was professional and courteous. The local seafood was absolutely fresh and delicious. Nothing fancy. Just very good and traditional. Highly recommended!
